Hiding the actions on the launched Item.

Hi All,
Is it possible to do configuration on UWL to hide the buttons on the launched item. In the Task view we have different items and i know we can hide some action button there by setting the "Exclude action " property in the Iview, but when the user clicks on the description the item is launched . The launched item has some action button displayed on that page. Is it possible to hide those action button through some configuration in the XML??. Is the configuration limited to only the view and the launch configurations..once the item is launched can we control that as well. The item that is currently being launched is a standard Webdynpro Java application that SAP provided. The tasks are general collaboration tasks..so there is not much configuration done in terms of the view and the launch configuration.

So, you are asking that is it possible to configure the actual application that is launched from UWL? If yes, then this has actually not that much to do with UWL. You need to check out the configuration options of the corresponding application itself.
You need to specify that which application is launched. Let's say that you have iView X that is launched from UWL. Most probably you can do some configurations to the iView itself (iView properties). Maybe you can hide some buttons etc. Maybe the application is actually configurable in backend system (in SPRO). So, you need to tell what application it is and what you want to do for it. And then it might be good idea to ask this question from the corresponding application area instead of UWL. For example if you want to configure a travel expense approval application, you can ask the question possibly from HR/Travel area. Or maybe someone here in UWL area can help if I happen to know the application that you need to configure.

I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain. She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server. Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails. She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started. She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.

Behavior: nothing happens.
This does work for Tile all vertically.

Yes, that is correct. The alternative is to quit all applications prior to logging out. Lion will then have a chance to remove the saved states.

System message at CKM3 - Control if the ordered item absorbed the cost

I have created an exclusive free goods agreement and I would like the ordered item to absorb the cost of the free goods. In order to transfer the correct information to CO-PA from SD billing, I have made the required customizations ( 1- Deactivated pricing in the item category of the free item    2- Set the cumulate indicator in copying control for the billing item). Now I want to control the result with the TCode CKM3 but it gives ot the following error message. Can anybody explain me what I should do step by step?

From the above post i understand that you are getting an error about valuation. Hence i think that the valuation area assignment is improper.

Need to update the list item in the same sharepoint list with particular condition with Sharepoint Designer 2013.

I have one sharepoint list with huge data i.e with 20columns and more than 200 records with the fields .
Suppose lets consider there are A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H columns.
Now i want to create one form with the fields A,C,E.
When the user enter the existing data of list for columns A,C..based on C value the E column value should change and update that particular item in the list.
Please guide me without visual web part can we acheive this by Sharepoint designer 2013 or what would be the preferable solution.
Please help me on this as it is very urgent from me..

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to update the list item in the same sharepoint list with particular condition with Sharepoint Designer 2013.
I recommend to create workflow associated to the list and then start the workflow automatically when an item is changed.
In the workflow, you can add condition and actions as below:
If current item: C equal to Test1
Set E to Test2
Then the value of the filed E will be changed based on the value of the filed C.
In addition, if you create the form using InfoPath, you can add rule to the filed C as below:

How can I get the checked item from a list that is generated automatically?

I am still pretty new a CF and could really use some help. I am trying to get each item that is checked from a page that generates the list automatically from a query and get the associated textbox text with it. For example:

Thank you for your help so far. I must not be asking the right question. Here is the whole breakdown. I am writing this page to collect the users information, Name, Title, Company, and technologies they are familiar with. I then want that information emailed to me upon submission. The point I am running into a problem (even with your last post) is how to write the action part of it that will email the checked items to me. I cannot figure out if I need to use CFLOOP (if so, how) or what the best method is. I am a very visual lerner and can understand how code works easily, but I have not found any examples for my situation. Again, I really appriciate all of your help thus far.

How do I set the Launch window size (from launch from an LMS) in Captivate 5.5?

When my project launches from the LMS, the lauch window is smaller that the actual project size and requires the user to resize the window to see the whole project. My LMS administrator tells me that the launch window size is not controlled by the LMS so I am trying to figure out how I can set this to match the project dimensions.

The size of the browser window CAN be controlled by the LMS, but some LMSs are hopeless in this area and don't provide the settings to do so.
Moodle for example allows you to specify that the course content will open in a new window each time an item in the LMS TOC is clicked and what the height and width of that window will be. However, all versions of SumTotal before the latest one did not give you this option (and that despite the exhorbitant price difference between these two products.)
So your LMS admin might be correct in that HIS particular LMS cannot control the size of the launch window, but that's not because no LMS can do this.

The 'selected items' color randomly changes and I can't figure out why.

Hi everybody, I recently upgraded to Firefox 13, which appears to be the most stable browser version so far and I really like it. I have loved Firefox very much, having used it since somewhere between versions 2 and 3.
After upgrading to version 13 I noticed something that annoys me quite a bit. This may have been present before but I can't remember and I did not notice until now.
On my computer (Windows 7 x64 Ultimate) I have set the color of the 'selected items' (specifically text) to be lime green text on a slightly off black background. I chose this color scheme because it blends very well with Firefox itself (I have the NASA night launch theme), Windows Explorer, and many web pages that I have changed to a dark theme (using the Stylish browser extension). This color scheme has excellent contrast in areas with black text on a light background, as well as light text on a dark background. It has served me well.
After upgrading to Firefox 13 I have noticed that if the web page is dark with light text, the 'selected items' color changes to lime green text on a light grey background. (Less frequently, it changes instead to off-black text on a lime green background). I have not been able to isolate the threshold where this change occurs (meaning how dark the website background needs to be /how light the text needs to be for this to happen) nor have I found a solution.
This problem sometimes extends even to sites that have dark text on a light background: when tabs are switched, with no input fields clicked and the address bar is not clicked. This very page (Firefox support) is apparently vulnerable as well.
This problem only happens on rendered web pages. Firefox's menus, buttons and toolbars, as well as all other programs and Windows itself, are unaffected.
I want the 'selected items' to remain as I have set it, and not deviate regardless of the apparent contrast or color scheme of the web page being displayed.
[Edit #1]: Interestingly, as I was copying the information from about:support I noticed that it is affected as well.

It is always best to avoid making changes to the selected text colors.<br />
Firefox uses an algorithm to check if the contrast is sufficient and will swap text and background colors if that test fails.<br />

I am trying to check in a new file use the service "CHECKIN_NEW" in UCM 11.1.1.6.
I checkin the *"CHECIN_NEW_TEST.hcst"* into the content server. And run it by submit the page to test the service.

It's really more of an HTML issue with the form itself than a Content Server issue.

DataSocket Server will not start when the Launch DS Server if Local URL.VI is bundled into a LabVIEW application.

I want to run a LabVIEW application on several machines remotely that do not have LabVIEW installed (licensing issues). Hence I have built a LabVIEW executable with the RunTime Engine to install on all of these remote machines.
The VI has a bi-directional link, using Datasockets, to a machine with DAQ and Image acquisition functions. It primarily receives data items, but also the capability to change data items so it needs to run the "Launch DS Server if Local URL.VI" in order to publish data to the DataSocket server.
When I run the pre-built VI on a machine that has LabVIEW Developers Edition installed, everything works fine - ie.
the DataSocket server starts on the remote machine. However when I build the *.exe application and run it on a machine with and without LabVIEW Developers Edition installed the VI successfully subscribes to the DAQ and Image Acquisiton machine, but it does not start its own connection to the Data Socket server, and hence does not publish the data that the DAQ machine needs to suscribe to. IT seems that the Launch DS Server if Local URL.VI is bypassed? I have fiddled around with the Build settings but to no avail.
In short, how do I get the DataSocket Server to run in a LabVIEW executable? Is it indeed possible? Any advice would be welcomed.

How to add Datasocket Server Control.vi?
Source Files only show Project Files.
So, I added Datasocket Server Control.vi file to the project first.
Then I added it to Always Included < Source Files < Application Properties (Build Executable).
Last, I built the Executable, but it didn't work.

How to get the mail item opened window?

I need to get the window of the opened mail.
Within the mailItem.Open() event tried to get the Application.ActiveExplorer() but it returns the main outlook window.
From the load of the addin tried as follows, but hwndSource always returns null.

This kindly of process is done at Variant configuration. so the pricing will define in condition type VA00. and the variant process as follows:
Eg: Ford car.If a sale order is raised for fiesta lxi model the system should choose red colour & for vxi blue colour respectively.
ie you need to define the characteristic and assign the values .
This characteristic need to assigned to class.
class need to be assigned to material master
1. T.code : CT04(characteristic) FORD_MODEL, Choose single value & entry required tab & give the input as 01 - fiesta_lxi & 02 - fiesta_vxi.( characteristic values)
2.Tcode: CT04, FORD_BODY( another characteristic)
Choose single value , don't click entry required.
01 - Red( characteristic values)
02- Blue
3. Create class T.code : CL02
fiesta_class
type : 300
4. OBJECT DEPENDENCY:

CLICK VALUES TAB,

Use T.code cu50 to check the values.
Then create a sale order.

Excel 2007 accessing PivotItem.Visible gives error if the field item value is a DATE

I have VBA code to manipulate the content of a pivot table - essentially it hides all but the first N items in a pivotfield. Under Excel 2003 the code works fine, as expected irrespective of the data content of the pivot field item. Under Excel
2007, if the data content is a date, the VBA code generates one of several error conditions.
pivotItems(i).Visible = True
Generates error 1004 - Unable to set the visible property of the pivot class
If pivotItems(i).Visible = True then...
Trying to test the visibility generates error 13 - type mismatch

Trying to determine the visibility of the pivot item in the VBA immediate window, this generates error 2042
I have an illustrative spreadsheet which permits the code to process two different pivot tables, one using a field containg dates; the other a field containing text. Under Excel 2003, the code works on both pivot tables. Under Excel 2007 it works
on the text field table, but fails on the date field table.
I have looked for answers on numerous support forums including answers.microsoft but found not found any answers... only the same or similar unanswered question.

I have made the following changes / additions to the problem illustrator:-
Adopted the use of lists for the data source of the pivot table
Removed reference to '(blank)' as a reserved item not hidden by the VBA code to avoid the possibility of hiding all items
In respect of my original code (MK1), utilised a 'real' item name to be the
reserved item
Added a new (MK2) macro to alter the number of visible items which
hides all but one of the VisibleItems collection
makes the first N items in the collection visible
checks that there are only N items visible (the position of the reserved item
might be greater than N)
The code still executes as expected under 2003, but fails (the same as before) under 2007 when the data type of the PivotItem is date.
The MK1 code fails when testing the current visibility of the Item before trying to set the visibility with:- RTE 1004 Unable to
get the PivotItems property of the PivotField Class
The MK2 code fails when trying to set the visibility with:- RTE 1004 Unable to
set the Visible property of the PivotItem Class as reported above. Note - given that MK2 avoids trying hide invisible items or unhide visible items, I no longer believe that this error is due to the attempt
to set visibility to current state as seen under Excel 2003. I am deeply confused by this now!
I observe with care the different CLASSES on which these failures are reported even though in each case the operations are on the PivotItem.Visible property - MK1 queries it / MK2 attempts to alter it.
Just in case you have been wondering where this is going, this spreadsheet has no prupose beyond illustrating the Excel 2003 / 2007 problem being encountered elsewhere when manipulating pivot table items whose value are dates. The requirement
is to provide a simple user interface to a complex managing reporting spreadsheet consisting of a significant number of pivot tables and charts - altering one cell causes the VBA code to modify the collection of pivot tables to deliver a revised view of the
data. All works fine for 2003 users of the model, but not 2007 users. I need one spreadsheet which will work correctly on both 2003 & 2007.
