Hiding what I am doing while working on a mac

I share a mac at work with other people and I would like to as much as possible clean up after myself when I am done. The following are the settings that I have found in some commonly used programs that will clear history of what I have done. Can anyone recommend anything else?

Well, you've pretty much got all the basic steps covered. If you're using a standard user account, you're pretty safe from other folks using the same account snooping around. If you're using an admin account, using terminal would probably offer many more possibilities for covering your tracks, or for others uncovering them. It really depends on the knowledge of the other users, particularly if they have admin access.
But more to the point, what would you be doing on a work computer that you would want to hide, and if there were legitimate reasons for hiding it form co-workers, your employer ought to enable you to keep info private. Not to get on a soapbox, but I will anyway. If there is stuff you should be doing that others should not have access to, your employer should see to making that happen. If you're hiding stuff you shouldn't be doing at work (and I'm not suggesting you are) then this would not be the best place to ask

"What u Hear" option doesn't work after I changed the output to SPDIF. The question is, how i could record sound that goes through my audio card (X-Fi Xtreme Gamer).
In windows' recording tab are these options for recording:

Line-In

However, If I open 'Smart Recorder' for example, I can select 'What yiou hear (Creative SB X-Fi)' as an option, but hitting record doen't record what is playing on the PC. So it doesn't actually seem to do anything...

You don't input the information in manually for iCloud mail. It is automatically set up for you when you sign into iCloud via System Preferences and choose the Mail checkbox. Sign out of iCloud or deselect Mail in iCloud preferences. Open Mail's preferences and choose accounts tab. If iCloud account still exists in the list, delete it. Sign back into iCloud or check the box for mail. The account will be auto created for you.

Sure it's possible.
Go to System Preferences (under the Apple logo on the top left of the menu).
Choose "Display". There's a slider bar for the screen brightness. Adjust it and you're all set.

ICloud does not work with my mac air

I am working with mac air, using Iwork9 and safari. I failed to upload any iwork doc to icloud. I did exacly all the steps required but not way. I thought apple was going to be smart like dropbox.com but they are far behind.
I log into icloud.com and tried to drag and drop? NO WAY

As of Firefox 4.0 and newer one needs at least OSX 10.5+ and Intel hardware.
The latest you can use on your Intel with OSX 10.4.11 is Firefox 3.6.25 (released recently) which can be found at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
If you were to update to say OSX 10.5.8 then you can use Firefox 9.0.1

We have several i componets with different users how does that work with the mac

By different Apple IDs for data. For device it's the device names you've given them.

FrontRow does not work on my Mac Mini

I purchased the new Mac Mini (Intel) and after syncing with my old computer, FrontRow does not work.

I had the same issue with my new Intel Mac mini. I fixed it by re-pairing the remote with the Mac mini.
To do that, press the Menu and Next buttons on the remote at the same time and hold them for a few seconds.
When I did that, Front Row started fine, and since then has functioned normally when I simply press the reote's Menu button.

Icloud log in with Apple id does not work from my mac when i try to run on photo stream

When I try to active photostream or sharing via icloud it does not work I get an errormessage that there is communication problems with icloud. I cant get around to administrate the stream from the Icloud site or via my imac directly. It has never worked!

yes, the apple id works for everyting else, but not for icloud. on my phone and ipad it is set up with the correct apple id and password. however, when i try to log on to icloud under system by clicking the icon the erromessag that i get is unknown apple id or password.

Smooth text/vector while working in AECS4 (Mac)?

When I'm working in AECS3 (Mac) and I use the built-in text tool, my text is always jagged/lowres in the composition (I'm viewing @ 100%, full quality). When I render out, the text is nice and smooth, but in the application, it's awful (and makes it very difficult trying to align things, etc.).
The same thing happens when I'm working with vector graphics (either EPS or AI from Illustrator CS4 on the Mac) — vector images are pixelated, much like the text. And again, when I render out, it's nice and smooth but terrible in the application.
Is there any way to view these assets "nice" in AE? I feel like it's 10 years ago (or a week ago <G>) and working with vector in Quark! <G>
For both text and vector graphics I have the "continually rasterize" option turned on.

Turn off OpenGL! Apparently you have an issue with transparency handling and the "rtexture" resolution. Also make sure to not view comps at crooked zoom levels or with PAR compensation. This will introduce its own scaling artifacts that only affect on-screen display, but not final rendering.

Message app does not working on my Mac

Hi,
The message app stop working on my mac. Everything went gray that I can not even select preference. I can send message from the notification center, and I can only view unread messages on the notification center. Not sure if this issue coming from updating my system to 10.9.2, tried to delete the preferences from library/message and preference folders, also tried disk repair, none of that works. Please help and thank you.

TS1496 How does this work for a Mac Pro? Just did an update and my iPod video click is no longer recognized by iTunes or in finder but shows do not disconnect. What do I do?

I downloaded the latest update of iTunes 11.4 today - Columbus Day. Went on to purchase songs. Then attached classic iPod to sync. upon attached usb to iPod, the "Do Not Disconnect" message appeared. Waited a long time and iTunes would not recognize my iPod. (10 minutes minimum. Gave up counting) Shut down iTunes and restarted. Still no recognition. Restarted computer - Wouldn't start. Unplugged USB and then it started. The only way to get computer to start up again was to unplug - now I'm worried that I've just screwed up my iPod. Upon starting back up - plugged iPod back in - sell no recognition. Am I up a creek with no paddle now? My iPod- touch is recognized and I was able to update it successfully. With that being said, it took a heck of a lot longer than it normally does post update. Was this the update that no longer likes classic iPods?
I have a brain injury and the classic is helpful at night when I can't fall asleep and I can play soothing stuff to help calm my brain down. The touch is way to bright and can cause lots of bad reactions due to light sensitivity - way too much blue light to trigger issues. The click wheel doesn't take so many moves to get to what I need.
Thank you to anyone that can help save my classic. medical bills are high and I can't afford to buy a new one. Two hours later, my classic still says do not disconnect and my computer does not recognize.

1. Try Resetting the iPod. Hold Select and Menu for 6-10 seconds - until you see the Apple Symbol.
2. Use iPod Updater to restore your iPod to factory settings.
See if those two steps clear up your problem.
