Hierachy in the report incuding previous periods

Hi, guru.
I have a problem with my report which based on the info-set.
This info set consist of:
1. Info cube Z_CUBE
2. Info-provider Z_OLD_OE with time-dept. navigation attribute 0ORGUNIT
3. Info-provider 0ORGUNIT with some attribute Z_ATTR and time-dept. hierarchy structure

My query filters this characteristics: 0ORGUNIT, 0CALYEAR, 0CALQUART1. The query's key date is set to last date of the quarter(e.g. you choose 3 quarter of the 2011 - it will set to 30.09.2011). Date for the hierarchy also is set like a key date.
So, the problem is:
if some of the orgunits were closed in the previous quarters, I can't see any their data, even if query has some growing ups (e.g. some calculated KF making a total from the first quarter to the selected quarter, 1..3)
What should I do, if I need to see all Orgunits (closed and not) and their data?

Just a suggestion. If you are using a temporal join on the ORGUNIT, it might be needed made basic LoJ. And, in the query, ensure no restrictions affect this Infoobject in any of it's restrictions.

You can well run these reports on background..
Go to SE38 Enter the program name "J_1HSTCD"
Then press Execute / F8.
Enter you selection date as 01.09.2009 to 31.09.2010 and enter the plant and leave the all selection as per SAP standard..
Then press F9 or Go to Program

To Run the Costing for Previous period

Dear Firends,
I need some help for costing run for Pervious period.
In my sap system Current period is 04-2009. But i want to run costing RUN upto 03-2009 (Previous Period ) because i have some pending documents is there for 04-2009 period. So we plan run the costing for 03-2009 period before go to 05-2009 period.
How to give the period date.....

Dear Saravanan,
It is not possible to create a cost estimate for the past period and to release the same.
1.If your Costing Run date is some future date ,but the Costing Date from,Qty Structure Date,Valuation date is on
system's date,then the system will allow to release the cost and the same can be checked under Planned Price,Standard
price under Current Column in Costing 2 view.
2.If your costing run date is current date & the valuation,Qty structure date is some future date,then the system will not
allow you to release the cost.
So with this check & revert back.

Issue while using the report : Object selection period

Hi All,
Using report rhrhaz00 i will get raltionship changes org units. Here my question is : when i pass org unit i am able get log changes properly. Here how to get current changes. when i give keydate as sy-datum or Data selection period or Object selection period as sy-datum its displaying all the records,.
Anybody having any idea how to get current day records.

Vendor evaluation report to be run for previous period

Hi,
Is the possible to run the Vendor evaluation report for back date.
i.e. if the period of evaluation is 30 days, can we run the report for previous periods

Depending on the library you are using, can you verify whether you can use one of the following variables?
1PERIK
1PERW
5ACPERI
6-PERIK
8WPERIO
All these variables use fiscal periods and not calendar periods, that way you don't have to bother about number of weeks in a period, unless you really need to do the calculation based on number of days in a period.
If your library does not support these variables, then pl copy one of these variables (GS11) with appropriate details into a custom variable and use it in your report.

Is it possible to do the excise utilization in previous period?

I am having some query about CENVAT Utilization. is it possible to do the utilization in previous period?
i had put the Feb 2009 opening exicse balances & now doing the March 2009 excise transaction entry. while doing the utilization on 03.04.2009 i get the error that "Error in FI Poasting 20090403"?
can anybody tell me that is it possible to do the utilization in previous period?

Thanks for quick reply. previous period are still open. we are not yet close the previous period bcoz of pending back dated entries?
what happen is that while i am doing the cenvat utilization the system take the current date for utilization.but i want to do this in back date?

Variances for the Previous Period- Production Order Variances

Dear All
I am not able to settle the variances of Previous Period in Ko88.
The following steps I have done for the settling the variances
1. KKS2- Production Order
2. Ko88- Settlement of Variances
If i settle the variances production order variances it is increase the stock and in the increase in the profit and loss account
I need a suggestion there should not be any impact on the either in the profit and loss account and stock

I would like to explain further more on this area.
1. For V Material Item - When there is no stock it will be posted to Profit and Loss account
2. For V Material Item- When there is a stock it will be posted to Balance sheet acccount- My question whether it can be posted to Profit and Loss account. When there is a stock - What is the procedure to be followed.
In further to that Settlement can be done only if the order is completed. settlement cannot be done if the order is not completed.
I need to understand
1. Whether V Material item available stock can be posted to Profit and Loss account.
2. Whether this is based on Order completion.

IF you want report for previous period by G/L account and part code wise.. then MB5L will not serve your purpose . MB5L will display current balances only ..
Some users save MB5L details every month for future references..
However , you can create a ABAP program which will work like MB5L but will pull data of previous period ( date selection will be there).
My client is having such custom report..

Reporting across previous 12months (year)

I have a reporting requirement where I need to show all the previous 12 period balances across the year, when the user enters a posting period. Im trying to run this on a consolidation cube, where I transfer period balances from the general ledger line item ODS. My question is:
1. How can I get previous 11 periods, is there any variable that can achieve this?
2. What if the user enter Jan as a posting period and then he wants to see till previous Jan? I tried using the variable offset value as 1. 2. 3 etc. but when I enter 2 (posting period) as the variable, the report gets back period 2, and 1 but not last year period 12. How can I achieve this? Is there any std query which does it, so that I can go and take alook.
Any insight or pointer? Thanks in Advance.

You need to use something with year in it - either fiscal year/period or cal year/month.

EPMCOPYRANGE displays formulas outside the report on expanding

Hi Experts,
I am facing issue with EPMCOPYRANGE function as follows:
I have an EPMCOPYRANGE function with certain formulas and save comment in Column M, N, O
When i execute the report this function works fine (Example: it expands for 100 rows with correct calculations)
When i refresh it again for a lesser data (Example: with data upto 50 rows) the rest of the 50 cells still contains the formula from previous EPM COPYRANGE and i get error as #REF
Same is the case when i run the report for a period with no data, i can still see the formulas in the cells in column M, N, O
is there any settings to be maintained for EPMCOPYRANGE function which i am missing?

Hi Vadim,
Here, when i select period 1 and refresh the report the report has 400 rows populated. With Variance ($) and Variance (%) as caluclated members through EPMCOPYRANGE function.
When i refresh the report for period 2 the report has rows till 327 and the rest of the rows 328 to 400 still contains the formula for variance but since there are no refrence values it shows as #REF.
When i refresh the report again for period 3 it will have 450 rows and when i go back to period 2 now, the rows 327 to 450 will contain unwanted formula in the variance column.

From the same screen as open and close posting periods....Menu bar---->utilities----->change logs.

"lock" values of tax depreciation for previous periods

Hi all,
is it possible to lock calculated values of depreciation for previous periods? We need it for the case when e.g. depreciation key is changed. Then we want preserve the values for previous periods and change only the future values. But please note that we want this for depreciation area, which does not post values to GL.

Hi,
It did not work for me. I changed the useful life from 30 to 20 yrs and then used menu path Edit/Recalculate values. Then I used the Tx S_ALR_87012936 to display the depreciation values for individual months. But all the values were the same, i.e. the values for previous periods were not kept.
So is there a way to keep these values?

Updating Price in previous period - Material master

Experts,
I create a new material and want to update the price in previous period. I update successfully through MR21. when i check material master price is shown only in previous period(May) and its howing current period price is ZERO.
Is it possible to bring the previous price to current price tab automatically?

You may check in OMRN and set column price carried over.
In the case of a price change in the previous period or in the previous year, you must define whether the change also applies to the current period. You have two options:
The price change applies only in the previous period or previous year and does not affect the current period.
The price change also applies to the current period; the price in the current period is thus also changed automatically.
Activities
If you want price changes in the previous period or previous year to also change the price in the current period, select column
Price carried over.

Can we run KSU5 - Assessment Cycle execute for previous periods

Can we run KSU5 for previous periods. Means I have not ran from April 2008 onwards. Can I run right for all periods. Any inconsistencies arises for running the KSU5.

Hi Srinivas,
You can run the Cycle for previous periods also using KISR transaction code. Here, you can select the processing period (previous period) and posting period (current period) and the Cycle and the Segments.
Note: If you want the postings to happen in the same corresponding processing periods, you need to check those periods to be open and consider other inconsistencies also.

P & L report for current period,YTD and previous YTD

I am trying to create a P & L report with the columns for current period,YTD and previous YTD, I have include the measures as the key of columns, which by using period or YTD we can retrieve the current period and YTD column, is there as easy way to get the previous YTD? although I can get it by using evtim to het every month and calculate the previous YTD.

resolved, just need to bring both time and measures in the columns
