Hierarchical Folders not showing as opened on launch

iPhoto 6.0.4 on 10.4.7
I have four sets of hierarchical folders. In the first three I have two, one and four albums at the next level.
In the fourth I have another second level folder, then a third level folder; then four albums.
When I quit iPhoto and relaunch, the albums in the hierarchies of the first three folders are all visible (that is, small black arrow down).
In the case of the fourth folder (the one with the subfolders), the hierarchy is always closed on launching iPhoto - although I always leave the hierarchy expanded (that is, small black arrows down),
Is there a way to force iPhoto to launch with all folder/album hierarchies expanded?

Everything else works fine in iPhoto - and everywhere else for that matter :-))

Just created a folder with a subfolder containing a subfolder which contained 4 albums (that's what you have right?). Upon closing and opening iPHoto the all folders remained open.
Try deleting iPhoto's cache folder(s) that are in your User/Library/Caches folder. See if that will help.
