Hierarchies from BICS

Hi experts.
I'm building a report on WEBi from SAP BEx Query using BICS.
I have the hierarchy "Account" and a measure in the the Result panel. When I want to filter by some members of hierarchy "Account", the object (Account) is unable to drag and drop into filter panel. WEBi shows "The object cannot appear in both the Result and Filter panels".

Any idea?
Additionally, what is the latest release (version, SP or FP) of SAP BusinessObejcs BI platform? I'm working on BI 4.0 SP02 Patch 2.4.

Before SP02 patch 4 it was possible to do this by dragging your Hierachy to the Filter area and then double clicking the same Hierachy Object in the Universe area this would then add it to the resul area. Since the upgrade to SP02 patch 4 this trick no longer works and I have raised this issue (without response yet) with SAP.

Hi,
Hierarchies data one type of data master data.
BW data base was desifned master data stored out side the cube. When ever other data target (cube) can use those master data .I.E you can load data on info object level. Becose this is master data.
You can load data from flat files .
The structure is like this.
when ever u r creating hierarchies three table is going to create /BIC/HZGLACOUNT,/BIC/KZGLACOUNT,/BIC/IZGLACOUNT
While loadong falt file you need to take this table /BIC/HZGLACOUNT structure. According that structure you need to create excel sheet and loading is like flat file.

ALL THESE WE BRING TO PSA LEVEL BY INFOPACKAGE AND SEND DATATARGET BY DTP...
But how about Hierarchies...

or if your lowest level is the same like
Day->month->year->Total
Day->businessMonth->businessyear->Total
Then yes, it is.
Create the first, then you start to create the second by adding your top(business year) level on the same level as the one you have (year) both under your total.
Then when you would add your second base level, there is a special option for it, something like use other hierarchy level/shared level (sorry can't recall and does not have a connection right now) then you select your existing day level under your businessmonth level.

Refresh available hierarchies from oltp / mark as relevant for BW in abap

Hi All,
I can't solve this problem: I am loading hierarchies from R/3 to BW via infopackage. I created the solution to use one infopackage to load more than 300 hierarchies. But before I can do that I have to open an Infopackege, press the button "Refresh available hierarchies from oltp" and then mark relevant hierarchies for BW. 
Is it possible to do this in abap via function module / BAPI or somehow else? I'd like to implement the whole solution in process chain but I need to solve this before.

Error when importing CO Hierarchies from R/3 DEV to R/3 QAS

Dear SDN,
I am getting the following error when importing Cost center and cost element hierarchies from R/3 DEV to R/3 QAS...
Object OSOA 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER has not yet been imported successfully
Object OSOA 0COSTELMNT_0102_HIER has not yet been imported successfully
Ended with Return code ===8...
But The two hierarchies were available in R/3 QAS and also i am able to utilise..
My doubt is if i transport these hierarchies from R/3 QAS to R/3 Production any major issues...
Now i want to test a data in BW DEV from R/3 Production data...
So, I am planning to transport These hierarchies from R/3 QAS to R/3 PROD...
Here we do not have BW QAS...So, getting data from R/3Production to BW DEV and testing...
After testing Directly use in BW Production...
So, Please suggest me why when importing these hierarchies errors occuring???
Help will be greatly appreciated with points...

HI,
Its normally done following: Transferring the master datasources in RSA5 to RSA6 and then replicating the DS into BW and assignment of DS to Infosource and cretaion of Infopackage and load it into the master tables.
Generally, the control parameters for data transfer from a source system are maintained in extractor
customizing. In extractor customizing, you can access the corresponding source system in the source
system tree of the SAP BW Administrator Workbench by using the context menu.
To display or change the settings for data transfer at source system level, choose Business
Information Warehouse → General Settings → Maintaining Control Parameters for Data Transfer.
Note: The values for the data transfer are not hard limitations. It depends on the DataSource if these
limits can be followed.
In the SAP BW Scheduler, you can determine the control parameters for data transfer for individual
DataSources. You can determine the size of the data packet, the number of parallel processes for
data transfer and the frequency with which the status IDocs are sent, for every possible update
method for a DataSource.
To do so, choose Scheduler → DataSource → Default Settings for Data transfer.
In this way you can, for example, update transaction data in larger data packets in the PSA. If you
want to update master data in dialog mode, smaller packets ensure faster processing.

Loading Hierarchies from R3

Hi,
I loaded the Hierarchies from R3 in to BW with the Business Content DataSources.
In R3--> RSA3; I am finding 32 records
But when I load the data in BW, the Monitor shows 58 records .......
What are the exact steps I should take care to validate the records / records count in R3 Vs BW.

Well as mentioned in my previous post RSA3 works best for the non Hierarchy Datasource.
For hierarchy datasource I never found the best way to handle this scenario.
We have random check with the nodes of hierarchy in R/3 to BI after the loads which is not full proof and am aware of.
So to confirm the same,execute the standard reports in R/3 with Hierarchy nodes and Custom build reports in BW with the same Hierarchy to compare the values;however this is the crudest way.
May some one has best method for suggestion....

Import Interval node hierarchies from BW to BPCNW7.5

Hi expert,
I have a requirement of importing hierachies into BPC. However the source infoobject has interval nodes in the hierarchies and the interval nodes has the property "Infoobject" as "0HIER_NODE" rather than infoobejct itself. I saw the document on How to import master data and Hierarchies from BW to BPC, but this document talk about importing hierarchies whose leaf nodes are not interval nodes.

Hi Vamsi,
Values assigned to 0HIER_NODE(as infoobject) are text nodes.
They are transferred as part of master data(attributes) when you follow the how-to-guide for master data in 7.5.
Below is the link for how-to-guide. Select the Hierarchy or Attributes selection in set selection tab while loading master
data so that all the text nodes from Hierarchy table for the selected hierarchy will be loaded to BPC.

hi,
i've used button "Available hierarchies from OLTP" in InfoPackage to load some hierarchies into the SAP BI. But the some of hierarchies i cannot find in this list.
How could i load full list of all hierarchies that is created in R3 system, cause only some of them are there now?

Hi Johnson,
The transfer of P.O from SRM to R/3 happens through function module (RFC) and not IDOC. Only the transfer of GR and invoice happens through IDOC.
The above scenario happens when you are using Extended Classic.
In case of classic scenario, you can only have P.O details in SRM that to in Check status of Shopping cart. You can not display or change a P.O in classic scenario.
IDOCs are not used for the transfer of P.O from R/3 to SRM. And there is no mapping exists for the replication.
