  • Unable to recon using FlatFile - peoplesoft Connector

    Hi I am unable to do BulkUpload using FlatFile. The scheduler Task events are not being logged into log file,hence unable to see the error. I have checked all the configurations, seems to be correct. I am using Peoplesoft ER 9.1.0 and OIM 9.1.0.1 on Linux platform with Weblogic Server 10.3
    I dont know how to get the logging working, I have checked log.properties and enabled everything needed.
    log4j.logger.XELLERATE = DEBUG
    log4j.logger.XELLERATE.SCHEDULER = DEBUG
    log4j.logger.XELLERATE.SCHEDULER.Task = DEBUG
    log4j.logger.OIMCP.PSFTER=DEBUG
    Can anybody help me with recon problem and logging problem

    I had an issue with getting the PSFT flat file connector to work in the past. Since then, I've always gone with either a custom flat file connector or the GTC.

  • Upload hierarchy using flatfile

    Hi,
    I need to upload the HR hierarchy from PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft delivers the hierarchy as a flatfile, but not in the BW structure.
    The file is delivered as follows:
    Level1              Level2             Level3             Level4              Level5
    NCC_002100   NCC_002101   NCC_002102   NCC_002103   NCC_002104

    How can I get this into the right BW structure for a Hierarchy upload.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    Please go through the following links : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/0e/fd4e3c97f6bb3ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/b0/ab8e3cb4340b14e10000000a114084/content.htm Pls refer the following link, it will explain step by step with screen. /people/prakash.bagali/blog/2006/02/07/hierarchy-upload-from-flat-files Procedure to create Hierarchies: 1. In the Data Warehousing Workbench under Modeling, choose the InfoObject tree. 2. If you have assigned the hierarchy basic characteristic to an InfoObject catalog, select the corresponding InfoObject catalog for an InfoArea. If the hierarchy basic characteristic does not belong to an InfoObject catalog, choose the InfoArea Non-Assigned Nodes and the InfoObject Catalog Non-Assigned Characteristics. 3. Select the characteristic for which you want to create a hierarchy and choose Create Hierarchy from the context menu. The Create Hierarchy dialog box appears. The InfoObject name appears by default. 4. Enter a hierarchy name and description (short, medium, long). Other fields may be displayed, depending on which hierarchy properties were selected for the hierarchy basic characteristics Fields used to enter the Validity (valid to, valid from) for the hierarchy property Total Hierarchy Time-Dependent Fields used to specify the Hierarchy Version for the hierarchy property Hierarchies Version-Dependent. 5. Confirm your entries. The Maintain Hierarchy screen appears. You can define the structure of a hierarchy here. 6. To create a hierarchy node, you first need to choose an insertion mode: Insert as First Child or Insert As Next Neighbor (see Hierarchy Editing Functions). 7. Choose the type of node you want to create: Text Node, Characteristic Node, or Interval (see Hierarchy Nodes) 8. Repeat this procedure until the hierarchy structure has been set. For more information, see Modeling Nodes and Leaves. A hierarchy can contain 50,000-100,000 leaves at most. If your hierarchy is larger, you should insert a level that is used as a navigation attribute or preferably as a separate characteristic in the dimension table. 9. You can use Level Maintenance and Hierarchy Attributes to set how the hierarchy is to be displayed and processed in reporting (see Level Maintenance and Hierarchy Attributes). 10. Save the hierarchy. 11. Activate the hierarchy. See Editing Hierarchies. • Exclude a hierarchy node by using exit variable (not in query designer)

    Hi gurus!!
    I have a hierarchy for the infoObject 0COSTELMNT. Depending on the user who executes the report, the node '0599ADJUSTMENTS' must be displayed or not.
    I am trying to solve it by using an exit variable:
    Varible Type: Hierarchy Node
    Processing : Exit
    On the exit, I have entered the following code:
          IF ( sy-subrc = 0 ).
              l_s_range-sign = 'E' .
              l_s_range-opt  = 'EQ' .
              l_s_range-low = 'AJUSTES'.
              APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
         ENDIF.
    But unfortunately does no work!!
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

  • Error while creating more than 100 users using Flatfile Recon

    Hi,
    I am trying to create users in OIM 9.1 using flat file recon. The recon works when I have less than 100 users in the flatfile. But if I add more than 100 users to the file, the recon does not create all users. Less than 50 users get created in OIM if the number of users in the flat file is more than 100. I get the below error in this scenario.

    i was wondering if someone who know a bit more about java then i do would point me in the right direction, were i'm going wrong in my code
    i have to list out sub-files and sub-directorys of a folder (i.e. C:/test) to console using tree structure

    dir11 //subfolder of dir1
    dir111 //subfolder of dir11
    dir12 //subfolder of dir1

    Denis,
    Do you have [red hair|http://www.dennisthemenace.com/]? ;-)
    My advise with the tree structure is pretty short and sweet... make each node remember
    1. it's parent
    2. it's children
    That's how the file system (inode) actually works.
    <quote>
    The exact reasoning for designating these as "i" nodes is unsure. When asked, Unix pioneer Dennis Ritchie replied:[citation needed]
    In truth, I don't know either. It was just a term that we started to use. "Index" is my best guess, because of the
    slightly unusual file system structure that stored the access information of files as a flat array on the disk, with all
    the hierarchical directory information living aside from this. Thus the i-number is an index in this array, the
    i-node is the selected element of the array. (The "i-" notation was used in the 1st edition manual; its hyphen
    became gradually dropped).</quote>

  • Parent child hierarchy and measure using lookup

    Hi,
    I'm using OBIEE 11.1.1.5 and I have an issue with a parent child hierarchy, which is setup like case 4 in this example . When I create a simple analysis using the hierarchy and a simple measure, it works fine. But when I try to use a calculated measure using a lookup formula, I get the following error:

  • How to display 3 level hierarchy alv report using SALV

    Hi ,
          I need to display a Hierarchy ALV report with 3 level.I thought of trying CL_SALV_HIERSEQ_TABLE but i am able to display only two level report.
          How can i display the 3 - level heirarchy report using SALV. I don't want to use SALV_TREE.

  • Hierarchy in BEx using a virtual characteristic

    Hello BW Experts,
    I encountered a problem with the display of a virtual characteristic in context with a hierarchy.
    The goal is to display a weighted rating (the virtual characteristic) for each hierarchy level individually.
    What I get:
    IAS Category Weighted Rating Ratio Weighted MV / MV
    Level 1 A 5
    AAA 2
    Level 2a A 5
    AAA 1
    Stock 1 A 5
    Stock 2 AAA 1
    Level 2b AAA 1
    Stock 3 AAA 1
    What I'd like to get:
    IAS Category Weighted Rating Ratio Weighted MV / MV
    Level 1 AA 3
    Level 2a A 2
    Stock 1 A 5
    Stock 2 AAA 1
    Level 2b AAA 1
    Stock 3 AAA 1
    Level 2 is the lowest level in the hierarchy and Level 1 a text node. The weighted rating is determined in a SAP Exit (include ZXRSRZZZ) in a mapping ODS whereas the ratio Weighted Market Value / Market Value (a virtual key figure) is the lookup key. The solution might be something like the declaration of the aggregation level for the virtual characteristic in the SAP Exit.
    Any suggestions would by highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers,
    Manuel

    Hello,
    why do you not using an Hierarchy with Characteristics and Attributes? This should be much easier.(use a balanced hierarchy)
    I do not believe, that you have a chance to do the rating for the levels with a virtual characteristic.
    Another possibility is to use an virtual InfoPovider with Services and do the data collection by your own.
    Kind reg.

  • Create a listview in hierarchy and bounded using LINQ

    Hi,
    I would like to know how I can setup a listview (or any other asp control), so that it can be bounded to LINQ and will show the hierarchy of the data.
    Here is my data:
    Year      Name
    2014     Apple
    2014     Orange
    2014     Manago
    2013     Apple
    2013     Grapes
    It will just start with the Year:
    + 2014
    + 2013
    When the year is expanded, it will show the information under that year, so it will look like this when 2014 is clicked:
    - 2014
        Apple
        Orange
        Manago
    + 2013
    Please advice, your help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,
    According to your description, you want to retrieve data from a SharePoint List using LINQ, then display the data upon a GridView control or other controls.
    For about retrieving data with LINQ, here are two demos for your reference:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/hh135094(v=office.14).aspx
    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/399927/SharePoint-LINQ-and-SPMetal
    For organizing the data retrieved in a list view like control, suppose you are developing a Visual Web Part, SPGridView control would be a good choice for you.
    A solution with code provided would be helpful for a quick start in using SPGridView:
    http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/office/Ejemplos-sobre-cmo-usar-el-69cd5f16
    More information about SPGridView:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.sharepoint.webcontrols.spgridview(v=office.14).aspx

    Feel free to reply if there are still any questions.

  • Hierarchy - How to use more than one characteristic

    Hi People..Sorry for other question. I am new in BW.
    I need my hierarchy by 0VAL_CLASS and below that I need to restrict by 0MATERIAL.
    The hierarchy by 0VAL_CLASS is already done, but I don´t know what is the best way to add the other characteristic 0MATERIAL.
    If it is by coumpound and what is the impact .. or if it is by External chars inside of the 0VAL_CLASS in the hirararchy.
    Example:
    --> Fineshed Material
    0val_class: A
    Material 1 (selected especific one)
    Material 2 (selected especific one)
    0val_class: B
    Material 3
    --> Semi-fineshed Material
    0val_class: A (repeated)
    Material 4 (selected especific one)
    Independent on the way, could you tell me too how to do that.
    Thanks in advance,
    Rosana.

    Hi people, thanks very much for your return,
    I have tried to use external chars. The problem in that example below was that when I execute the query, the report is showing me the "materials 1, 2 and 4" on the lines 0val_class to the "fineshed material and semi-fineshed material" too.
    It means the system didn´t restrict the materials 1 and 2 only to the Fineshed Material. And Material 4 only to semi-fineshed material.
    Could you tell me what is the reason? I don´t know if I forgot some step. The only thing I did was to put "0material"  as "external chars"  inside of the infoobjeto "0val_class".
    Thank you a lot,
    Rosana.
    --> Fineshed Material
    0val_class: A
    Material 1 (selected especific one)
    Material 2 (selected especific one)
    0val_class: B
    Material 3
    --> Semi-fineshed Material
    0val_class: A (repeated)
    Material 4 (selected especific one)

  • Retrieve Hierarchy Leaf Node using API.

    Hello All,
      Is there a way to search in the Hierarchy Lookup table only on it leaf node.
    Example.
    I have a Hierarchy structure
    Americas
       I
       ___ North America
                        I
                        _____ United States and Virgin Island
                                                          I
                                                          ______ United States,US,USA.
    For the above structure if i search by "United States" and put in CONTAINS as a constrain then, i need to retrieve only "United Stated,US,USA". Is there a Java API, to do this search.
    Thanks,
    Priya.

    Hi Priya,
    yes there is API Command available for retrieving the Hierarchy elements.
    All you need is the Record ID of the selected innermost leaf noe that you can get by performing a search.
    Once you get his record ID for the innermost leaf node, you need to use the RetrieveHierAncestors Command to get the Values for the parent of the leaf node.
    Documentation is avaible at: [http://help.sap.com/javadocs/MDM/SP06/com/sap/mdm/data/commands/RetrieveHierAncestorsCommand.html]
    Hope his helps!!
    Cheers,

    hello Rekha,
    1. First I guess that the red parts:
    <instruction type="Down">
        <elementId><VTable ID></elementId>
        <from>
            <drillElement>

            </drillElement>
        </to>
    </instruction>
    ... are in your real workflow, effectively replaced by significant values.
    2. then, thanks to the stack trace: this error should be thrown if DP0.DO6 is not used by <VTable ID>.
    Can you please check with [GET application/xml] .../raylight/v1/documents/<docId>/reports/<reportId>/elements/<VTable ID> ?
    3. Anyway, the error message thrown is totally not talkative and we'd better improve that. Which version are you using? 4.1 SP5 ?
    Thanks and regards,
    eric
