Hierarchy Loaing For HR 0ORGUNIT

Hi frnds,
I am trying to load Hierarchy data for 0ORGUNIT(Organizational Unit).In RSA2 in goto tab in Text Extraction the hierarchies are in RED status.
my question is why they are in RED status?Is it effect when I load the data?
What is External Chars in Hierarchies?
If any body Loaded data for 0ORGUNIT(Organizational Unit) then pls give me steps for loading.

Hi Sridhar,
The info object ORGUNIT has three datasources, one for text , one for attribute and another one for hierarchy. and You can manually create a hierarchy or can get it from the source system FI module through ALE.
Make sure you have your hierarchy installed properly. the transfer rule will be 3.5 with data source for the heirarchy in Modified version. when u run the info package, it will get the hierarchy from your source system automatically.

When we are executing the query in BI we are geeting the error that "errorHierarchy node 000000 is missing inthe hierarchy 100 for comp"

check the hierarchy which is assigned to the query is correct one or not? and try to view the hierarchy, try to reactivate the hierarchy.

Updating Prod Hierarchy field for all 2 & 3 level WBS Elements

Dear All,
My requirment is to update Prod. Hierarchy field for WBS element. Here in input i give 2 level WBS Element with respective Prod. Hierarchy then my program should update the Prod. Hierarchy for 2 level and 3 level WBS element under it automatically.
I hope we need to use bapi BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN.
If any one had a sample code please reply with the attachment.

Can v creat the Hierarchy variable for the char who does not hav the heir. another thing is whats the procedure to create the hierarchy variable bcoz when i select the char to create the variable its showing var of type char. how i hav to change it to hierarchy.

i think i understood what you want.
I think you can achieve this by following way.
1) create a text variable for user entry. For which user enters values 2, 3, or 4 as you said.
2) create a dummy calculated key figure and assign this text variable to its description
3) when query will execute, user inputs values 2 or 3 or 4 which will be reflected in the output in the title of the new dummy KF.
4) then write a macro to read that value and delete 1 or 2 or 3 columns from output as necessary before user can access the actual results.

Hierarchy level for Site hierarchy idoen't load in BI

Hi gurus,
I have created a new hierarchy level for Site hierarchy in transaction CL01 in R/3. But this level is not load in BI.
Site hierarchy and other levels load right, but no the new one.
Do you now anything to resolve my issue?

I don't think so, Deliveries in SAP have usually no pricing information. Everything (except quantities) comes from the Sales Order.

You can usually change header level (VBRK) data in the item level data transfer routine.
Before doing that and I like to to have 100% control, I would personally check the reason for the system behavior.

Hierarchy INT for 0GLACCEXT (Financial statement item)

Dear Friends,
I have a situation where i am modifying a standard BC query 0FIGL_VC1_Q0002 and i have to find equivalent nodes (equivalent to the standard SAP INT hierarchy) in my custom hierarchy for 0GLACCEXT (financial statement item). BW has a standard hierarchy INT for 0GLACCEXT (with nodes as numbers for example 3070000, 2030000 etc). With the custom hierarchy in my case how do i find the equivalent hierarchy nodes for this hierarchy while working with this query?
Any help would be highly appreciated.

First of all, U cannot get balance sheet and income statement reports on DSO level... or even at cube level (0FIGL_C10)
Balance sheet and income statement logic is manipulated in function Module (RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC10) that pulls data from 0FIGL_C10 to 0FIGL_V10... Thats the reason why SAP provided all Balance sheet and income statement reports on 0FIGL_V10.. And u can see 0GLACCEXCT in 0FIGL_V10, but not in 0FIGL_C10, which provides income statements at aggregation (totals) level, but not at granular level..
Looks like u r trying for something (keeping 0GLACCEXT in 0FIGL_O10) which is not possible... If u want much detailed level of reports, u can create jump targets (RRI) from 0FIGL_V10 reports to 0FIGL_O10 reports (if u create any)

Tables to get the hierarchy used for the global Variable

we are using a characteristic Reporting Unit "ZCS_RDRUN" with a input ready variable "ZCS_RV_MM_REPUNITHIER_RDM".
The reporting unit is a hierarchy characteristic and the variable is a hierarchical variable of type Hierarchy node variables fixed to a hierarchy we are using for this query. We do have selected a hierarchy for the input ready variable e.g. Total Group. My question would be is it possible to read out the selected hierarchy of the input ready variable from a table? If YES, from which table? I know that we could read out all input ready variables but i dont know how to read out the hierarchy selected for the input ready variable of type "Hierarchy node variable".

You check the query run times and other details in the work load analysis (ST03) or using the table RSDDSTAT .
inorder to check the information using the above two methods -make sure the Bi stats are maintained in your system

I am new to creating Hierarchy structures, my Master Data Hierarchy Loads Process chain is failing at 0WBS_ELEMT with Error Message "Node ID 00019537 has not been included in the hierarchy". can any one please Explanin step by step for adding this node to 0WBS_ELEMT.

for adding the node go to the Infobject maintainance screengo to Hierarch tab- go to Maintain hierarchy. there select your hierachy and then change. it shows the available structure there u can add ur required node.and then execute the Process chain

How to provide a list of Hierarchy-nodes for selections?

Hi specialists,
some of our users often want to use some hierarchy-node-values from one report as filter of a 2nd report.
For all non-hieararhy-values it is possible to do that using the clipboard.
But there seems not to be a way to do the same with hierarchy-nodes.
Is there any workaround to reach that target?
Btw: I'm talking about users using the BEx 3.5 Analyzer.

Insert new hierarchy nodes for key figures

Hi All,
In BI 7.0. when you right click on the key figure folder , you get an option called " insert new hierarchy node". Can anyone please explain what is this feature for. Is is just for reporting purpose where you can drill down for a particular key figure for more clarity. Thanks in advance.

This is for reporting purpose.
For example you have four key figures which consists the "TOTAL DEMAND".
Suppose TOTAL DEMAND = Purchase Requistion + Planned Order + Purchase Order + Production Order
We may provide hierarchy on TOTAL DEMAND, so that in display you may expand TOTAL DEMAND. When expanding TOTAL DEMAND it will show all four key figures with the total numbers in TOTAL DEMAND.

Dynamically Selecting Hierarchy Nodes for each year

I have a strange query requirement. I am having a hierarchy which is divided based on region, quarter and marketing campaign.
Like below:
APAC
         2010 Q1
               Brand Marketing                      M09/2010-000074 (Node Technical Name)
               Brand Advertising                   M09/2010-000075
               Events                                     M09/2010-000082
EMEA
         2010 Q1
               Brand Marketing                     M09/2010-000084
               Brand Advertising                  M09/2010-000085

    2010 Q1
               Brand Marketing                     M09/2010-000098
               Brand Advertising                  M09/2010-000099
               Events                                    M09/2010-000106
In my report output, I need to display the data in the below format. The Brand Marketing is cumilative of all regions (APAC, EMEA, NA).
                                               Approved Amt
Brand Marketing                    $2000
Brand Advertising                 $1300
Events                                   $8430
But my issue is next quarter the node technical names will change. So next quarter, my query should pick the nodes of current quarter based on node description.
Right now what we are doing is hard coding in query the node technical names and modifying the query definition every quarter. After that download the query in Excel and apply excel formulae to cumulate the Brand Marketing, Brand Advertising, Events of all the regions. Then we will mail those files to Users.
But we want to avoid that manual activity.
Is there any way that we can enable query pick the marketing campaigns of current quarter and cumulate then for all regions
Please let me know whether there is any alternative.

Hierarchal Report for Fund Centre Hierarchy/Group for Total Records

Hello Gurus,
I need to check if there is some Hierarchal report in FM which displays the data as per my Funds Centre Hierarchy or group. Like there is a report in Cost Centre Accounting (S_ALR_87013611) which displays the figures according to different grouping on the left hand side of the screen.
In FM report for example if I will go to - FMB_PT01 - Totals Records report and populate the Funds Centre Group then system populates the report for the relevant funds centres in that group individually but do not group the figures logically as per the group structure like we have in Cost Centre Reporting.
Please advise if there is any such kind of report or is there any possibility of creating a report painter/writer or we need to go for fully customized report.

This is a standard feature with Report Painter reports. S_ALR_87013611 is a Report Painter report in library 1VK report 1SIP-001. There are 4 standard FM reports in Report Painter library 4FM. You can also define your own FM reports under library 4FM. Please see the link below on how to create a report:

Restriciting BI query for Hierarchy authorization for a defined group

Hi Friends
We are trying to restrict the Display with respect to the company codes group.
We have defined the authoirzation for BI w.r.t to the company code and groups ( collection of co.codes ) ..We have defined the authoirzation object under Rsecadmin and restricted the display for only group eg: GH3 . However when we ran the query we can see all the companies / groups. Also tried with putting the GHR group under Hierarchy authorization but still have the same result.
Can you please let me know what is going wrong
