Hierarchy mapping

Dear All,
0PROFIT_CTR Hierarchies need to be mapped (incase un-mapped) with corresponding Hierarchies in R/3. How do I check hierarchies in R/3?
Regards,
Jack Silverz

Hi,
In RSA3 you can check the hierarchy data source.
Secondly there is a transaction in R/3 which can show you hierarchy like for financial statement you have fse2.

  • CRM, function module, extractor or table for 0orgunit hierarchy mapping?

    Dear all,
In BW I have an HR-based orgunit hierarchy.
In CRM, orgunits are also HR-based but subsequentially assigned a CRM-own key through some kind of mapping.
Now, when I extract master data from the CRM product catalog which contains a characteristic orgunit, I get the CRM keys.
It would be  nice to map these back to the original HR-values in the extractor.
I've looked at two BI-content extractors which might give me back the mapping: 0BP_RELATIONS_ATTR and 0CRM_ORGUNIT_HR01_HIER but both do not deliver the mapping.
Does anyone know of a FM or extractor (or maybe a table) that I can possibly use?

Seemed that the CRM and ECC link is in a Z-relation in ECC

  • Question about Hierarchy mapping

    Hi all,
We have 2 hierarchies (Say A and B). The 4th node of Hierarchy A has the same value as Node 1 of hierarchy B. We have a reporting requirement where we have to display1 hierarchy combining Nodes 1-4 of Hierarchy A followed by Hierarchy B. Please provide ways/guidance to achieve this on BW back-end.
    Regards,
    Joy

u can see the dependencies button only after u have done mapping between your source and target structure.
it is basically to check out which fields  of source are mapped to which fields of target.
first do the mapping between source and target.
then probably you should be able to see the button.

  • XML to IDOC : Hierarchy mapping help needed

    Hi All,
I am trying to complete graphical mapping for an XML to IDOC structure. Both structures are EXACTLY same, but data is not populating in IDOC as desired.
My incoming XML structure and IDOC structure is
    Header
    Data_header  (1 -- 999)
      |_Data_item (1 -- 3)
    Trailer
If I have only 1 header, then IDOC data is populated correctly.
But when I have multiple headers and theer items, the Headers are getting populated, but items do not get populated correctly.
    *Example  My Input is:*
    Header
    Data_header
      |_Item_1
      |_item_2
    Data_header
      |_item_3
    Trailer
    My output is (IDOC)
    Header
    Data_header
      |_Item_1
    Data_header
      |_Item_2
    Trailer
As seen above Item3 of Data_header2 has gone missing._
For Data Header, I am using REMOVE_CONTEXT function and for ITEM I am using SPLITBYVALUE. Thought this should have helped, but am struggling.
    Any tips, help, greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks
    Shirin

    Hello,
Have you done one to one mapping, as u mentiong they are exactly same..
if that's the case, then mapping test should be successful.
If there is any diffrence in occurences of target structure or any other difference and let me know.
If possible send me the target structure...

  • Reg: File to Idoc Hierarchial mapping

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenario of flat file to idoc where in we have 4 segments(01 to 04)(with hierarchies) in source file to be mapped to idoc. We have followed Riaz blog    http://www.riyaz.net/blog/xipi-convert-flat-file-to-deeply-nested-xml-structures-using-only-graphical-mapping/.on mapping flat file to deeply nested structures .
We have encountered one unique issue in the intermediate level mapping where, when assigning hte id numbers, the instances of one segment are grouped together.  This is creating a problem.
Ex: in source str we have nodes in the order
    01
    02
    03
    04
    02
    03
    04 and so on..
After the test of intermediate mapping, it shows teh follw sequence:
    01
    02
    02
    03
    03
    04..
The node seq in the target str should have been similar to that of the source.. but here its not so..
if i am using just one instance of 01 till 04 nodes.. the final xml str is created perfect.. Can any please let me know what could be the possible error??
Or please let me know if there is any other simple procedure to finish this.
Thanks in advance, awaiting your reply..

  • How to create hierarchy map?

    Can somebody help me?
Just some suggestions can be helpful.
    Thanks.
    Oliver.

    Hi,
This can be ACHIEVED by using the XCELCIUS. This can be ACHIEVED by following 3 Steps.
    1) Source Data to be landed to XCELCIUS on COUNTRY WISE.
    2) Model the report by Going to the Component TREE and Choose the MAPS folder  -
    >> Select and Drag " World by Continents API "
    3) Key in the following mandatory fields like
         a) Region Keys
         b)Display Data
        b) Insert type
        c) Source Data
        d) Destination
    Now you preview the report.

  • Hierarchy Value mapping

    Hi all,
how is the value mapping done in hierarchies?
My source file is only comming with the leaf node value and when i try to do a value mapping
all my mapping are getting over mapped/not getting mapped properly
    ex
    abc
      -01
      -02
      -03
    def
      -01
      -02
    ghi
      -01
      -02
so in value mapping all my 01 are getting mapped randomly to 01 in ,
which should not happen or I will have to do it manually... which is a big pain.
pls help me understand hierarchy mapping and import process.
    rgds,
    ve

    Mandeep/Shambu,
    ex.
    parent
    child 1
    child 2
currently in my source file only child 2 is comming.
my source file is the file for uploading the main table data along with the hierarchy. It is not the file to load the hierarchy lookup.
So as per your answers, my source file should have all the parent , child1 and child 2 to do the complete value mapping(using partitions) and import for hierarchy......... Is that true?
So, The current source file format will not work.
Pls let me know if my understanding is correct
and thanks for your quick replies

  • Partial match for Value Mapping in Import Manager

    Hello Experts,
We have a import map which is used to do mass insert of data into the main table. This is done as & when required by the end user.
We have a qualified lookup field which has a flat lookup filed as the Non-Qualifier. This flat lookup field is refering to a Lookup Flat table, which has mulitple dispay fields like Code,Name, Status etc. (14 fields in total) where as only the Code is the unique field.
We have only the unique field in our source file which we use for the import. Since we have only a part of the display fields in the source, the automap functionality in the Value maping section doesn't work. It becomes very tedious for the user to manually map all the values for this field.
Is there any way by which we can convert the source or target values in the import map, so that we can map the values using the Automap feature?
Your help & suggestion for alternate approach is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Uday
P.S. We are using SAP MDM 5.5 SP6.

    Hi Uday,
No need to enable remote key mapping for QLT. Please execute the below steps(stated with an example) -
    1.  Among all the fields in the referenced lookup table, identify the lookup fields and the tables they are looking up .
For eg.If you have a lookup field as 'Country' as one of the fields, look up table will be 'Countries'
2.For the identified lookup tables, set 'key mapping =Yes' in Console.
For eg, For Country Lookup table ,set Key mapping to 'Yes'
3.Import values into Lookup table (Import manager)/ Remote key update -
In import manager, select source (local file) and destination as Countries flat table. This Table will be haing 2fields - Code and description.Clone the 'Code'field and map it to Remote key field in destination hierarchy.Map code and description to equivalent destination fields. Select 'Code' as matching field > Perform import into lookup table.
Check if the records in countries table are updated with remote keys(in Data manager> right click on a record> select 'Edit key mappings' > view key mapping for the record)
    3.Import to Qualified table/Auto value mapping -
Now, in the import map for qualified import , map the source field and destination field (of lookup type), all the values of this field will automatically map.
Similarly, refresh remote keys mappings for all the lookup tables first and then you can see auto mappings of values happening for the lookup fields.

  • Duplicate rows in Hierarchy Table created when running incremental load

I copied an out of the box dimension and hierarchy mapping to my custom folders (task hierarchy) this should create the same wids from dimension to hierarchy table and on full load does this using the sequence generator. The problem I am getting is whenever I run a incremental load instead of updating, a new record is created. What would be the best place to start looking at this and testing. A full load runs with no issues. I have also checked the DAC and run the SDE trunc always and SIL trunc for full load only.
    Help appreciated

Provide the query used for populating the child records. Issue might be due to caching.

    Implement the Product Allocation Functionality
We are required to implement product allocation functionality in SAP R/3 (Enterprise Version).
We tried to do the elaborate steps as per the implementation guide but are not successful. Can you kindly help by giving the simple steps for implementation.
Please see if the following helps:
    Configuration Overview; Allocation Specific Usage
1.Allocation Procedure (OV1Z) The product allocation procedure is the parent of the entire allocation process. All materials that are to be included in the allocation scheme are required to have an allocation procedure assigned to it in the material master. In addition, as of release 4.0, it is in the procedure that the method of allocation is defined. The user has the opportunity to set an indicator to identify their choice of two different methods (discrete and cumulative allocation) to evaluate the quantities to be considered for product allocation.
2.Allocation Object (OV2Z) The allocation object is the root level of the allocation process where actual data is entered and planned in LIS. The object allows the user to further break down a procedure into smaller parts for future validation of components comprising a specific material
3.Allocation Hierarchy Mapping (OV3Z) Primarily, this transaction permits the assignment of an allocation procedure to an LIS information structure. Secondly, a character is assigned to the information structure to permit collective planning. Finally, the user can assign a step level to the procedure and information structure to sequence the order in which allocation quantities are checked. This functionality allows the user the opportunity to check product allocation against several product allocation scenarios, before the required quantity is confirmed
4.Define Consumption Periods (OV5Z) The allocation consumption periods functionality is only valid if the allocation method flag has been set (OV1Z). If you have de-selected the method field, this functionality is not available. The consumption window indicates the number of past and future periods to be used in the allocation check.
5.Control Product Allocation (OV4Z) In order for the allocation process to function properly, allocation control records are created primarily to map allocation procedure steps to their corresponding objects so that the allocation data records can be located for validation. Secondly, validity periods must be established to indicate when the allocation control records are active. Finally, the user has the option of establishing a conversion factor per allocation control record to accommodate BOM listings of constrained materials
6.Activate Allocation for Requirement Class (OVZ0) In order to turn on allocation in the standard order processing functionality, the requirements class must have a flag indicating that allocation is relevant.
7.Activate Allocation for Schedule Line Category (OVZ8) In order to turn on allocation in the standard order processing functionality, the schedule line must have a flag indicating that allocation is relevant
8.Create Planning Hierarchy (MC61) In order to adequately establish allocation quantities, the user must initially determine the level at which the allocation is to take place and the aggregation factor of the allocation quantities. In this step, the levels for the collective allocation search procedure are also identified.
9.Generate Masking Character (OV7Z) Upon completion of the level determination for the planning hierarchy, the collective allocation masking character must be generated to allow aggregation indicators to be established. This transaction simply reads the hierarchy established in the planning table and then generates a collective mask character for each level of the hierarchy
10.Modify Planning Hierarchy (MC62) This step is a repeat of MC61 where the initial hierarchy was established. In order to complete the hierarchical set up, the collective allocation (mask character) hierarchy must now be maintained with the appropriate aggregation factors
11.Allocation Procedure Assignment to Material Master (MM02) At the root level of the allocation process are the materials. Each material that is to be considered in allocation scenario must be mapped to an allocation procedure. In order entry, then, when a material is entered with a valid allocation procedure in the material master, the allocation data is verified prior to confirming the line item ordered
12.List of Suitable Structures (OV9Z) This report is used to identify potential LIS information structures that can be used in the product allocation process. This report simply reads through the data dictionary and selects all the active information structures that contain the field product allocation object (KONOB) as the first field. This data can then be utilized in the mapping transaction (OV3Z) to link the allocation procedure step to an information structure (previous step).

  • Airport Network Hierarchy Changes Randomly in Utility

I have a Time Capsule (4th Generation) and two AirPort Expresses (2nd Generation).  The TC is my primary station/router.  The two AEs are located in different parts of the house.  The TC is broadcasting a wireless signal.  It is also feeding the two AEs via MoCA/Ethernet.  When I setup the two AEs the utility automatically set them both to extend the primary network via Ethernet which is what I had in mind.  So at any given time, I can open up the utility and see the globe for internet, directly below it is the TC and forked below are the two AEs.  I know that is how it should be when its running normally.  However, every so often the hierarchy map will change and will play them all in one vertical line.  In that instance, its the globe on top, TC right below, one AE right below that and the last AE right below the first AE.  I'm trying to imagine what that topology change is telling me.  Can someone tell me what?  Then after whatever amount of time, the topology reverts back to what it should be.  Globe, TC then forked below are the two AEs on the same level.
What is the randomly changing topology telling me? Lol. Oh, btw, the random change will show up both on my iPhone (iOS 7 latest version) and Yosemite beta.
    Thanks for any input.

From experience, I have found that network topology map in the AirPort Utility to be a bit "random" at times. So, I would not be too concerned on what you have noticed as well.
As a bit of background, solid lines in the map represent wired connections with dotted lines representing wireless ones. When the map displays all of the base stations in a row, it would generally indicated that they are all connected in a series fashion ... but, again, this may be totally different than the actual configuration.

  • MDX missing out 'All' level results for attribute joined to leaf level of a hierarchy

I have an MDX query with a cross-join of a hierarchy and a simple attribute on rows.  The leaf level of the hierarchy maps one-to-one with the simple hierarchy, while the other levels map onto multiple values of the simple attribute.  In the results,
an 'All' level row of the simple hierarchy is produced for all values of the hierarchy.  However:
    1. if the rows are numbered using Rank, the row number that the 'All' rows of the root level values of the hierarchy should have is skipped, and the rows that should have it have a repeat of the single child's row number.
    2. in SSRS no 'All' level of the simple attribute is found for the root level of the hierarchy.
My reading of this is that the All level is not being produced for the one-to-one root level relationship, and the query is reading the first non-empty value.
Any thoughts on (1) how to force the production of the missing 'All' level values; and (2) how to use Scope or some other means to place values in the positions where they are missing.
    Ken

It would be helpful to see your MDX query and a screenshot illustrating the results!
    Thanks! Josh

  • OBIEE 11.1.1.6 Paretto Chart drill down

A Pareto chart when created using OBIEE 11.1.1.6 drills down to the incorrect hierarchial map. This was a bug with OBIEE 10g:
BUG:8769813 - DRILL DOWN IN PARETO GOES TO WRONG CHILD
    NOTE:517727.1 - pareto charts
It was originally an issue with the use of Corda charts. This was supposed to be fixed with the move to OBIEE 11g but it does not seem to be so in our case, since we encounter the same error.
    Original OBIEE 10g error: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?_afrLoop=738674755173621&id=1200914.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=k53hrt132_215
I will look around on the forum, but any insight would help

I will try and explain the sequence of occurances on an Oracle "Sample Sales Lite" analysis, in case it needs to be recreated.
It is a very simple analysis using the “Sample Sales lite” subject area provided by Oracle. The criteria is just company from within offices as the dimension and revenue from within base fact as the fact.
The typical hierarchial drill path for the “Company” dimension within offices as per the RPD definition is Company > Organization > Department > Office.
When viewed as a table this drill path works perfectly fine. When we represent the same as a Paretto chart, on clicking on “Stockplus Inc”, the output drills down to a breakdown of "Genmind Corp" instead. This is the same when viewed as an analysis and on a dashboard.
I have seen similar occurances with bubble charts as well. Do let me know.

  • Order By Clause For Retrieving Child Elements

    Hi All,
I got a toplink question regarding adding an order by clause for retrieving the child elements in a 1 to many mapping.
I have an Order with a collection of Order Events. ( one to many mapping). The OrderEvent model is the super class of all events and it is abstract. The mapping for the order event descriptors has a class hierarchy mapping which uses a table for its super class (i.e OrderEvent abstract class) and different tables for its sub class elements (e.g ShippingEvent, LifeCycleEvent etc which are concrete classes).
If I add an order by clause to order the event by a spuerClassProperty in the super class descriptor, it gets ignored and the ordering is done by the alphabetic order of the indicator field values.
I also noticed that if there is more than one sub class instance for a specific class indicator value, the ordering by is observed.
I got around it with a Comparator, but just want to know if it could be possible to achieve this with toplink.
    Regards.

Does the Order By appear on the SQL that get issued? TopLink only does ordering on the database, and not in memory. This means that subclass queries will be ordered per type, on not as one big list.
A Comparator is a good solution.

  • Import of Multilingual hiarchy

    Hello,
I am facing the problem to import a two language hierarchy into a MDM hierarchy table. I used the Import Manager and a flat excel file with two columns. One for english one for german.  Each field holds three values seperated by semicolons. So I want to have a hierarchy with three levels.
Splitdelimiter in my Import map is ";" and I split each column into a hierarchy and map it to my destination hierarchy table. Here are two fields to map to Name[eng] and Name[ger].
After performing the import the hierarchy looks exactly as wanted in english, but there are no german values. These values didn't make it so only the green english values are displayed.
What is the correct was to import this simple demand?

    Hello,
    I have the same problem. I'm working with MDM Version 5.5 SP5 ( 5.5.42.90)
I need to import a second language into the Hierarchy
-> I’m following the description (below) of the SAP Library
-> the Import Manager shows on the import status tab that it wants to do the import of the second language
-> no error appears for the import, everything seams normal, second language values are automatically value mapped
=> but it just doesn’t import the second language.
In Import Manager the following configuration is done:
Set the property for "Expand Multilingual Text Field" to As Multiple Fields
In despair I tried different things :
    Import of both languages together , separated ;
Matched over Hierarchy name alone, remote alone, the two together, also with the two languages.
I even tried the import with changed hierarchy display field to “Hierarchy code” and not “Hierarchy name”.
I did the import with system language and login language in the second language.
No way to get the second language into the table, just manually in Data Manager.
Has anyone experience with multilingual import into the Hierarchy?
Thank you very much for helping me.
    Best regards
    Su
SAPLibrary: Import Multilingual Data Into Lookup Tables
If necessary, CREATE the hierarchy from the current language layer Name field that contains the hierarchy information (for example, using the Split Hierarchy command).
Note: Hierarchy: Only one language layer Name field contains the hierarchy information.
Map the current language layer Name field
Map/Add the entire set of hierarchy values
Note : Hierarchy: Now supports mapping of internal nodes
Map the other language layer Name field(s)
    No value mapping necessary
Note: Hierarchy: Map Value button previously could not be unchecked for hierarchy field and so Name field had to be value mapped.
    Map the [Remote Key] field
    Record match using:
    1)  The Name field
    2)  The [Remote Key] field (if the Name field was not value mapped)
    3)  The combination of both
Note: [Remote Key] previously not available as a record matching field, and so Name field had to be used for record matching.
To UPDATE one or more language layers of existing records
Map the other language layer Name field(s).
    No value mapping necessary
Note: Hierarchy: Map Value button previously could not be unchecked for hierarchy field and so Name field had to be value mapped
    Map the [Remote Key] field.
Note: [Remote Key] previously did not exist, and so current language layer Name field had to be mapped.
Record match using the [Remote Key] field and set the import action to Update (All Mapped Fields)
Note: [Remote Key] previously not available as a record matching field, and so Name field had to be used for record matching. Hierarchy: Can use [Remote Key] field for record matching because Map Value button can now be unchecked for hierarchy field and so Name field no longer needs to be value mapped.
