Hierarchy not update in CV of BPC Excel

I have modified my hierarchy in BPC admin, but when I login to BPC Excel, the hierarchy for that dimension is not updated, still shows the original hierarchy, Anybody know how to fix it?

Now when I tried to login to BPC excel, it take much longer time than before.there are not many data in the cube,couple of days ago, it work ok, but now it take more than twenty minutes.

Hierarchy not Updated after Data Load

Hello All,
I'm using extractor 0MATERIAL_CDTH_CMHIER to load a hierachy into 0MATERIAL (BW 7.0).
The problem is that when there are changes in nodes of the hierarchy, it´s not being updated by this data load (eventhough the new records are loaded into PSA). I need to delete and recreate the hiearchy to be able to see the new nodes.
Any idea on what could be the cause of this issue?

Hi Cristina,
If you are using a process chain to load the hierarchy, check if you are using a "Save hierarchy" process after the InfoPackage run and before the "Change run" process.

Product Hierarchy Not Updating in KE30 Report

We are Maintaining Product Hierarchy in the Material Masters and we are using a KE30 Report from CO-PA here we are able to see all the feilds getting updated in the report except for product hierarchy. that too only when the material are belonging to WBS Stock.
Can any one help me in exploring the reason for the same

In the absence of info, its very difficult to comment
1. Is the new sales material code assigned to Prod Hie?
2. During billling is the COPA doc generated? Or the revenue is posted to WBS Element?
If it is posted to COPA directly, then check point 1 above should be the reason
If it is posted to WBS, then check the settlement rule of the WBS... PSG will be the settlement receiver.... Have you mentioned Prod No in the settlement rule?

Action Pane in BPC Excel is not Coming

Hi All
I am facing a sudden issue in BPC 7.5 MS Version. I am not able to view the Action Pane for BPC Excel. But it was coming before.
Also the Action Pane is coming for BPC WORD & BPC POWER POINT.
I have chekced the option under e-tools > VIEW PLANNING & CONSOLIDATION ACTION PANE. But nothing is coming.
At the same time the BP CEXCEL ACTION PANE IS ALSO NOT MINIMIZED .
Can anyone advised how to resolve this issue.

You can clear the local application information by following the below steps
eTools -> Client Options -> Clear Local Application Information
or else to do it manually, delete the Outlooksoft folder in the users %My Documents% directory, and delete the regsitry keys
HCKU\Software\VB and VBA Program Setting\

Profit Center Hierarchy is not updating in Variable

Profit Center Hierarchy is not updating in Variable .
We have 3 new profit center added of which i have updated the master data ie, attr, txt, and hierarchy and Txn data. Where after updating i can find the thing updated but when i execute the report in the variable i dont find the updated profit center.

Linking Excel to Word - Word doc updates the numbers in a table but the format (font colours) do not update

I am using Office 2010. I have many graphs and linked tables to a master word document from Excel. The tables contain percentages and are formatted red if under -2.5%, yellow if between -2.5% and +2.5% and green if over +2.5%. The colours are correct
in Excel but when I refresh the word document, the numbers update but the font colours do not. The purpose of linking was to save time but if the colours do not update then the link is pointless. Is there any way to ensure the colours update as well as the
values?

In regarding of the issue, I have a couple of questions:
Do you mind telling me how do you copy/link between Excel and Word?
Where did you store the Word and Excel file? Both of local disk or network drive, even website?
Did you using conditional formatting to display/format percentages?
Based on my tested, please try the following steps, it would be update all the information after the source was changed.
Select the table/chart in Excel> Open word >Copy>Paste>Choose Link & Keep Source Formatting.(See image 1)
If we changed the source data in Excel, then right click the table in Word> Choose update Link. (See image 2)
Then the data, format, font and color all will be updated.

I have an assingment to do. I have a excel report (EVDRE) and I would like to link this report to microsoft word file. So when I change POV of my excel report, my word file should be change when open it. How can I do this?

I have an excel report located inside bpc server. To access to this file I have to log in BPC Excel Addin --> Open Dynamic Templates --> Company --> eExcel --> Reports--> Mydocument.xlt
My requeriment is that: when "Mydocument" was updated (for example with another Point of view), I would like to open a word document and see Mydocument Updated.
I would like save this word inside BPC server (log in on BPC for Word and inside of "Open Dynamic Documents")
How can I achieve this? I think that EvHot is to use in excel...but I want to update on word.

Not able to login BPC Excel

Experts,
Today I have installed BPC front end Excel and not able to connect with my user ID.
In my BI 7.0 system can see BPC 7.0 componenet and Iused BI 7 login details to access BPC excel with BI 7 IP address.
Could you please suggest me do I need make any other setting before I login into BPC excel.

When I open BPC excel I entered IP address which is same as BI 7.0 system and than it asked user ID and Password . I used BI 7.0 login details but not able to connect.

Data is not updating in data target from PSA

Hi,
i have loaded data from flat file to an Info Object(with direct update)....the data is loaded correctly into PSA...when i manually read data from PSA to data target its not updting in data target.......can anyone help with this....thanks in advance..

is it attribute or text ? perhaps there's invalid character or lower case,
check in monitor tab detail.
and when you said not updated to data target,
you check by right click 'maintain master data' ?
or you mean it's not updated to reporting ?
execute change run ? rsa1->tools->apply attribute/hierarchy change.

Current Status report not updating

Over the past few months I have been getting more and more problems where the "Current Status" indication is wrong. Usually I can get the "Current Status" back to being accure by going to File/Refresh. In the past when something changed the status, like a restart taking the system off line for a few seconds, the current status would update back to Available once the remote computer completed its reboot. Now however there is about an equal chanve that the status indicated in ARD will or will not update automatically when the status changes. If the status remains at ARD Not Available or Sleeping or something else ARD will not control that system till I manually do a refresh and then initiate the new action.
This is more of an irritant than a major problem but it sure would be nice if I could get ARD back to correcting and updating the indicated status correctly. This is with the 3.5.1 ARD Admin software. Any Ideas?

A few things I would suggest you do to determine where the problem lies.
1) Create an Essbase pull sheet in Excel that mimics the form and verify you see the data in Essbase -- you should see it just after your form is saved.
2) Compare the dimensions on your report with those on the Form. I would guess your report has an upper level member that is not dynamically calculated -- if this is true then if you really want the report to show the exact data as the form then update the report appropriately.

I'm updating Vendor address data by LSMW IDoc method
for this i'm using ADRMAS as msg type and ADRMAS02 as Idoc type.
In partner profiles Process code given as BAPI for this.
i maintained entry in TSADOBJ table LFA1 as OBJTYPE,1 as ADDR TYPE,0001 as context,LFA1 as TABLENAME,ADRNR as FIELDNAME, ADRC as TABLE PERS, ADDRNUMBER as FIELD PERS
Idoc generating sucessfully.
But data is not updating in database.
i think the problem in TSADOBJ config.
Please give exact configuration which can update vendor data.

be open minded. SAP gives several import methods to load vendors. one of them is per IDOC.
But the vendor master IDOC does not automatically create the adress master.
And even more important, if you migrate data from one SAP system to another, the IDOC method is more straight forward than the batch input, because you can send the IDOCs from legacy system to new system, you will then have a 1:1 relation of the structure in LSMW and you can create vendor masters by knowing the new vendor number from an internal number range already in LSMW, long before you actually post the vendor. With batch input you can either post with numbers from external number range, or you just dont know the new number already in LSMW.
And you dont need to download the data to Excel. And further, the LFA1 adress data has less information than the ADRC adress data.

XML MAPPING - swf not updating

When I make a change to the xml file it is not picking up the change in my published swf file. When I open the project in CX and refresh the mapping updates.
So it is connected but when I click on "refresh" on the sxf it is not updating.
I have xml maps, added in the data connection manager, with a refresh button tied to the xml connection. I also have the refresh on load checked in the connection manager.

Shamim my scenario was that I wanted the SWF on a network so that a call center employee could access the file from a mapped drive, open the file direct on her/his client machine. My problem was that I developed the file on the server machine and mapped the data connection path to the XML initially from the server, not the scenario of a client machine's path looking for the file. (not sure if cache is the right term)
Initial Path from server development.. D:\Datafiles\data.xml
The client machine(s) network path, mapped drive was Z: for example. In the excelsius model you need to bind the data path to the excel model and hardcode the Path that the client machines will go thru to access the data. This solved my issue perfectly. Z or name of the mapped drive mapped to the server.
Z:\Datafiles\data.xml
So now if your on the server machine and try to open the file from the swf you will incur the error message that correlates to the swf not being able to find the data. From the clients works fine but not from the server machine as the path has to be exact for the swf to find the data file.

I have a question for trying to deploy this same example on th server embedded into a swf movie player to the web. Might have been my path issue, cross domain policy file... But I could not get it to be deployed in a website, live. If you are familiar with this please explain to me.

Zone data expires not updating in DNS

I am struggling a bit with the Lion DNS system.
Using Lion Server 10.7.3 no matter what I set as the hours for "zone data expires", it reverts to 4 hrs.
I opened the db.zone file in /var/named . The other three fields update fine. But the expire entry is stuck for all the zone files. Some odd script bug?? Permissions ?? I run three other name servers, 1(panther) 2 (snow leopard). Never had issues like this before.
I cannot even do a manual override. The next time the admin utility touches the record it resets the expire data to 4 hours.
The second issue with the zone files is the SOA zone. It defaults to the domain name instead of the primary name server. I can hand edit that and it seems to stick. I cannot find anywhere in the adminn tool where you can explicitely set the the master zone record. (ns1.masterdns.com). Once the file is edited, the SOA record is recognized. Perhaps a different problem, but it seems to be similar in that the zone files are not being constructed properly.
