Hierarchy of IS Banking

Hi Expert,
Can any one help me about IS-Banking hierarchy. what are the basic settings need  to configure for IS Banking.
Thanks & Regards,
Nagesh.

Dear Nagesh,
Sorry, the text editor does not really offer line breaks, so it might look awful.
Can you give more clues which area of the IMG you are looking into exactly?
As you are ware, IS Banking is offering a number of components, which have their own basic settings and recommended sequence of moving on.
Let's be specific, are you looking into the IS Banking part
+ Transactional Banking on the banking services platform
+ Analytical Banking on the banking services platform
+ Bank Customer Accounts or the Risk and Limit Analyzer on ECC 6.0?
Since SAP does not in general publish a full configuration guide, the best approach to acquiring an answer about
the logical hierarchy of the IMG items to run sequentially in a recommended way, are
+ training (everybody loves this recommendation, right?)
+ working out an own version of a sample configuration guide along an IDES or other reference/self-study system
+ learn from colleagues and start asking questions (that's what we are doing here)
As long as you do not look by chance into the following
+ the hierarchy of organizations/branches in the SAP Org Management
(where the answer would be, take a deep dive into Org Management)
but into the logical hierarchy of the IMG items to run sequentially in a recommended way
then here is a quick guide which is in principle valid for both
+ Transactional Banking on the banking services platform
and
+ Bank Customer Accounts on ECC 6.0
Hope this helps a bit.
If this does not answer your question, then please rephrase and try to be specific.
regards
Ralf
1. Start with setting up the application scope before doing so for the bank's own procedures and customer procedures
1.1 Activate all components, functions, BADI's, BTE's, country settings needed
(e.g. for Deposits Management: PLM, PCO, MCM, CMS if needed plus their BTE's/BADI's plus partner components plus etc.)
1.2 If appropriate, connect a Solution Manager instance with the application system for Business Process Modelling and a link to application configuration
2. Continue with setting up the bank's own procedures before doing so for the customer procedures
2.1 FI01, and a file feed to bank directory
2.2 Org Management, the branch directory and source for workflow
2.3 User Management/pfcg, Authorizations, Roles, Profiles
2.4 The GL settings might come next
2.5 The End-of-Day settings might come next
2.6 Item Management might come next, with the settings for transaction types, statements, counters etc.
2.7 Contract Management might come next in full
2.8 Product Management might come next, with the Financial Conditions workbench, Limits first
2.9 Then determine the product attribute hierarchy next, before
2.10 Building up the product defaults and restricted values in the Product Configurator
3. Cross-Application Procedures > SAP Business Partner
and remaining configuration
After that, keeping a specific sequence is no longer really essential.
Before, as listed above, that sequence avoids a lot of iterations and questions or even locking in some configuration which would have done differently if known the impact before.

  • GL Account Hierarchy

    Hi BW Experts,
Our's is a BW 3.0B system connected to ECC 6.0. In BW we have a hierarchy defined for GL Account which has GL accounts listed in both Assets & Liabilities. This hierarchy is coming from ECC as designed by functional team. The client requirement is : When the GL Account is active with the hierarchy, it should not display the accounts in both Assets & Liabilities. It should only display the accounts in Assets( if it is an Asset Account) & Liabilities ( if it is a liability account). We are reporting on a multiprovider which has the basic infocube.
    Example:
    GL Account: 10001 - Bank .
In the GL Account hierarchy, Account 10001 - Bank is under Assets & also Liabilities. Std. report in ECC for Balance Sheet and P/L statement, depending on the Net Amount, it goes under Assets or Liabilities group.
In BW, when the hierarchy is activated for the report, as the GL Account is manitained in both Assets & Liabilities: it would display the amounts under Assets -for Eg: 100001 - $1000.00
and also under Liabilities as: 100001 - $1000.00.
Is there a way to do this kind of reporting? Please let us know if anyone had came across a similar requirement or have a soultion for it.
    Thanks,
    Bala

    Hi Bala,
I do understand you need. You cannot figure out the issue with GL Account. You definetly need to use 0GLACCEXT characteristic in a virtual infoprovider like 0FIGL_VC1. Then, you would have a chance to build your balance sheet report with hierarchy. This will prevent double assignment of GL account both in Assets and Liabilities.
    Good luck,
    MCA

  • ** DRM - Hierarchy maintenance

    Hello Friends,
We are planning to use DRM (Data Relationship Management) for our hierarchy setup and Maintenance. One of the main usage of this would be to have alternate hierarchy populate for Hyperion planning/Essbase with version controls etc...
Like to know couple of things:
    - Any CONS (Or) things that we can't do that we should be aware?
    - Ideal Deployment? /* We are thinking to have DRM on Win2003 Server. Not sure Web Logic be optimal for having has a Web Server? */
    Any feedbacks are appreciated.
    Thank you!!

DRM is typically used to manage this type of environment. The only thing I would suggest is that you read up on the difference between global and local properties. When building alternate hierarchies, you want to share property values (or avoid populating property values twice) between hierarchies. Beisdes that, DRM has worked well for us here at the bank.
    We also use Windows 2003.

  • Organizational Unit Hierarchy

    Hello Team,
I am working for a Banking project.I would like to know the hierarchy datasource for the 0ORGUNIT (Org Structur) maintained in the Transactional banking system.
I am using the copy of the infocube 0TB_C01 where 0ORGUNIT is also there. This infoobject is hierarchy enabled and i am planning to load the hierarchy from the transactioanl banking system.
For eg: The Org structure in the banking system would come like Branch->District>Region-->Top Company level.
    Kindly advise on the above.
    Thanks,
    Rajesh janardanan

    Hi Ravi,
I have seen the standard hierarchy in other systems for 0ORGUNIT.
But in the Transactioanl Banking System i am unable to find it, even though there are 2 hierarchies.
These two hierarchies are mapping to different infoobjects if we see the property of these datasources through the transaction RSA2.
    Thanks,
    Rajesh janardanan

  • Accounts Dimension Hierarchy...Problems Please help

Hi All,Iam designing a P&L Cube & a Balance sheet Cube.I have a specific problem---Please read below1. In JDE, Account number is the combination of the BU , Object Account & Sub Account.Seems the unique number of accounts (with Account Numbers) are 1.5 million.Upto (Level 6 in JDE) , Accounts are standard across the Companies or business unitsOne company has several business units.Building hierarchy till level 6(level 6 means level 6 in JDE) may not be a problem in Essbase. The real challenge is after level 6,level 7 level 8 level 9 accounts are there & these are not standard for all business units. They differ for each business unit. For example,Bank Account ( suppose at level 6) for a BU 41100000 , BU 41000000 , BU 40000000Bankone (level 7          ) for the 4110000053 bank (level 7          ) for the 41100000Firstunion ( level 7)          for 41000000FleetBank (level 7)          for 41000000FleetBank (level 7) for 40000000So in this case how to achieve uniqueness vis-a-vis Essbase.Answer is : Account number which is the combination of the BU , object account & Sub accountBut what worries me is if we have 20,000 (suppose) Business units & we have level 7 accounts on an average 10 per BU, then which means we have to build 20,000 * 10 which is equivalent to 200,000.... if we think of level 8 , same logic continues....so when we build hierarchy.... for 1.5 million unique records we might end up having atleast 500,000 stored members, I think. My solution to this was not to go to level of detail after 6th level in JDE.What is your opinion?Did anyone come across such a situation. The Business people want to see the level of detail till level 9 of JDE & report also on that...What is the solution for this kind of problem??Notes : Levels in JDE are equivalent to generations in Essbase

I hope I'm understanding you correctlyWhy don't you have Account and BU in seperate dimensions? You can train users to look for their account and BU in seperate dimensions orOnly create accounts that have values. In other words don't create every possible account BU combination in essbase. Make sure your load file for Essbase doesn't contain zero value and dimbuild from your data file.

  • Export: Maintain Folder Hierarchy -

it would be very useful if lightroom could export a group of images maintaining the existing folder hierarchy, instead of dumping them all into one folder -
as in, i import my images into lightroom, sort the images into subfolders, put them through develop (or not), then when choosing export i have an option to create a new folder containing the exported images arranged in the same folder structure as in lightroom
(then i upload these images to a php gallery system that creates thumbs, gallery page, etc)
it would be great if i didn't have to re-organize the exported images after exporting...

Going with Jeff's one feature, don't mix it rule:
The ability to export our collection and folder hierarchy would be a very useful tool. It would allows users to create final output copies of our images in what their normal relational folder location. A bank of collections that contain the output from a job may contain numerous collections of virtual copies of Colour/B&W/Sepia/bordered images to go for proofing to clients. The client could peruse these by type and make decisions based on these. It is especially useful in the case of burning out our exports to create a usable hierarchy on the disk. Otherwise Lightroom can only be used to export all images to one folder, or used to export individual collections, that must then be hand sorted into our hierarchy and burned from an external application. As Lightroom is designed to speed our workflow, this would be a very useful addition to the toolset.

I do something similar with JDE. I use short account id's in some cases to create uniqueness. I also have member names consisting of the full three tier account structure. even though it might become a very sparsely populated cube, and I don't know if your business requirements would allow it, can you split the Accounts dimension across three dimensions: BU , Object Account & Sub Account?Or if you are using EIS to build the cube, to use Hybrid analysis to store levels in the hieracrhy relationally?

  • RAM install: what bank/DIMM order + size order?

    Hi all,
My iMac 10,1 (late 2009) factory RAM (2+2) came installed in slots Bank 0 DIMM 1 and Bank 1 DIMM 1 (which slots System Profiler show as being consecutive at the bottom of the memory description panel). Now I'm adding 4+4, should I follow the same pattern, using Bank 0 DIMM 0 and Bank 1 DIMM 0? I ask because it somehow seems more logical to me that you'd populate any given bank with the same size RAM.
    ALSO
Does it matter in what order the 2GB modules are vs the 4GB modules, is there a "larger/smaller comes first" hierarchy in populating the slots?
    thanks in advance,
    - Dan

Follow the side by side matching and it's fine to use the open slots for the new RAM. You don't have to put the larger ones in the upper slot (depending on what you call upper!).

  • When I login to my bank, I get the message: 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. Have new MacBook Air with Yosemite. How to solve this problem?

When I try to login to the website of my bank, I get the following error message:
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
I have a new MacBook Air with OS Yosemite installed.
What is the problem and how can I solve it?

Some websites require a special client certficate for access. If you don't have that certficate, you'll have to contact the site operator to find out how to get one.
Sometimes the problem is caused by a web server that is configured to request an optional client certificate. Safari treats the request as mandatory. In that case, other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome may be able to connect to the site, because they ignore the request.
The first time you were prompted for a certificate, you may have clicked through a dialog that requested access to the Apple certificate in your keychain that is used to secure the iMessage service. In that case, you may be able to regain access to the site in Safari by doing as follows.
    Back up all data.
Double-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    com.apple.idms.appleid.prd
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Paste into the search field in the Keychain Access window by clicking in it and pressing the key combination command-V. An item may appear in the list of keychain items. The Name will begin with string you searched for, and the Kind will be "certificate."
Delete the item by selecting it and pressing the delete key. It will be recreated automatically the next time you launch the Messages or FaceTime application.
The next time you visit a site that prompts for an optional client certificate, cancel out of the prompt. You may have to do this several times before the server stops asking.

  • When I login to my Bank's online banking, I cannot hear the conformation tone, it worked before. Site still works without this.

When logging into my Bank's on line banking, you must first enter a user Id. Then it takes you to a window where you have created a visual and "sound" password which it plays to verify that you are in the banks site. Then you enter another password and then you are in. I still can get into the site, but it's just a little strange that the sound was working and now does not. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I was using chrome to enter the site and it directed me to ad on needed to play the sound which had Fire Fox's name on it. I down loaded this ad on and it did not work on chrome. I don't know if this affected FF?

  • Manual Bank Statement

    Hi,
I have processed the manual bank statement, I could see in the stament overview that Manual posting is done and There are 2 transactions under FB01 with Debiting the amount. But nothing is shown under credit amount. When I check the concerned bank account and customer open and cleared items, no posting is made. What could be the error? Later I have done manual post processing (FEBA), still the same result. What could be the problem?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    1. Check in Bank config.. Create and assign Business Transactions and Define Posting Keys and Posting Rules for Manual Bank Statement.
    2. Check GL accounts are attached to the bank accounts under House bank node.
3.In FF67 Verify the specifications Memo record entry -- Start variant, customer and vendor match codes and Further processing -- 'Processing Type' -- 2.
4.Check other account assignment in FF67: Tran type, Value date, Amount, Bank ref.,Cost Center and Profit center..
4.If the processing type is '2' Run the session by using SM35.
