Hierarchy problem in BEX

Hi,
Our 0material is loaded with hierarchy prdha, also
0prod_hier_attr is loaded-activated and 0prod_hier infoobject is loaded-activated as well.
The weird thing (unless for me) is that in bex only some 0materials have a data in hierarchy attribute; we check 0material records and the hierarchy is there same in 0prod_hier... the problem is only in the query.
Please some advices??
Thanks In Advance

HI Neetu..
Please check the settigns of the infoobject in use..u need to select text and key for the description in buisness explorer tab of \inoobject definition

I have also checked the same selection input result in infoprovider for infoset and output is getting for the same.

    Hi,
check whether you have loaded data in to quality server if no, please load data for all the target involved in info set.  If data loaded check all the target 'request for reporting available 'or not.
Also check whether data is showing in infoset or not.. if data availble there change your selection critiria accordingly.
    Thanks

  • Problem in BEX Analyzer

    Hi Gurus,
    *Sales Query 1     *

    *Key Figures     *
    *SALES REP ID     *
    *No Applicable Data Found.     *
Could you guys please help me to solve the above problem in BEX when excute query.
No data is showing in BEX though infocube shows the data.
    Cheers
    Shrinu

Check if data in infocube is available for reporting, Goto context menu of cube -
    > manage -
    > requests tab --> check and see if the 'request for reporting' column has the query icon.
Also, do you have aggregates defined on u r cube. If uo do, you will have to roll up aggregates.
right click cube -> manage --> Rollup tab -> Press Execute button
after its complete goto requests tab and refresh, the u will be able to see the icon for 'request for reporting' available.
run your query again and you shd be able to see data.
If the above dont work search the forums for more info, this problem has been discussed several times.
    Thanks

  • Problem about Bex Exception

    Hi All,
I have some problems with bex exception. In my query, I have 3 columns  (the third one is a rate calculated from the first (C1) and second columns (C2)). I have a characteristic in row which lists the different values. Sometimes, I have no value for C1 and C2 and also, the value  rate is space (thatu2019s normal behaviour). I must highlight some rate by
    If rate < 55         bad
    If rate => 55      good
    I did an exception
    Bad        except1    BT      0  to 54
    good      except2    GE      55
That works fine but my problem is :
The rate cells with a space value are also highlighted with the bad colour. Have you some idea to avoid this behaviour ?
    C1                        C2                                                 Rate
    1000                         5                                               200   (C3)
    100                        20                                                5    (C3)
    space                              space                               space   (C3)
    1st  C3 is green
    2nd C3  is red
3rd  C3  is also red (I want to leave blank)
    Thanks fot your help.

  • Hierarchy display in BEX is confusing

I am having an issue with the customer group hierarchy display in BEX:
In RSA1 hierarchy display like this
    Customer group 1
    --Customer A
    --Customer B
    --Customer C
In BEX (restricting characteristic or variable selection for 0customer/0sold_to) it displays:
    Customer group 1
    --Customer group 1
    --Customer A
    --Customer B
    --Customer C
It confuses the users as to which is the correct Customer group 1 node to select for the queries. I could not find any setting that may control this behaviour.
This is a time dependent hierarchy. We are in 3.1c
    Any help is much appreciated.

  • Problem executing BEx query Hierarchy variable with default value

My query has hierarchy variable on 0MOVETYPE char with a default value . The 0MOVETYPE variabale restriction is in Static filter area.
I got timeout on query execution not because of amount of data but because of this hier. variable. Any ideas why?
    Notes:
    a) The hierarchy and the 0MOVETYPE characteristic are active and correct.
    b) I've tried RSRT check, but got the same timeout error.
    c) query executes fine on dev environment. I'm getting timeouts on PRD (as I say not because of amont of data)

    Hi,
    1. Try generating the report in RSRT and see if query runs correctly
    2. Looks like you are dafulating onto top node which contains whole data may be. This is not correct as it will definitely slow down the report based on amount of data it contains. Try to remove default and try first whether query is opening.
    3. You can put some lower level defualt to understand whether amount of data is the issue.
    4. Try to increase the server time out setting and see if it runs.
    Thanks and regards

  • Context menu00FA and hierarchy problem

    Gurus...
I have a problem when I make the filter for a page Web,
    I execute the page with
    /sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=ES&bsplanguage=ES&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=ZADWEB0201,
and there is no problem to me, this page contains query with hierarchy,
but when the filter of the following way,
    /sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=ES&bsplanguage=ES&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=ZADWEB0201&FILTER_IOBJNM_2=0COMP_CODE&FILTER_VALUE_2=0061
I cannot see the hierarchy of query and the context menu.
Somebody can say to me if I need parameters for the presentation of the page.
    Greetings.

    Hi Noe,
why are you working with "_2" after the filters? Try using
    sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=ES&bsplanguage=ES&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=ZADWEB0201&FILTER_IOBJNM=0COMP_CODE&FILTER_VALUE=0061.
If you are using more than one data provider maybe you have to set the correct data provider, too:
    sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=ES&bsplanguage=ES&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=ZADWEB0201&DATA_PROVIDER=DATAPROVIDER_1&FILTER_IOBJNM=0COMP_CODE&FILTER_VALUE=0061.
(if DATAPROVIDER_1 is your data provider)
    Greetings,
    Daniel

  • Hierarchy problem inBI7

    Hey, Gurus:)
We are expearencing the following problem after upgrading to BI7:
The querry which has characteristic restricted on hierarchy does not return the desired respond - actually it does not respond at all.
When I tryto restrict the characteristic on some value the Bex respond in DUMP in
RRSI_NODES_OF_TYPE_GET function. I want to emphasize that the hirarchy looks active in bw , I ca edit it and activate once  again ad it looks fine, BUT .....
In bex th querries that have characteristics based on this hierarchy does not run and accessing that characteristics responds with dump.
    Any ideas...

Not sure if the english version has been released ,it just came up after keying your error in service sap
    wait for SAP to respond
    or google it for translation
    Hope it Helps

  • Hierarchy node filtering - BEx 3.5 query

    Hi
I am having a problem with a BEx 3.5 query with a filter on customer hierarchy. The filter is a variable which allows single value selection.
When I run the query in Analyzer and get prompted for the customer hierarchy I can either type a customer number or press F4 and navigate through the hierarchy structure to find the node I want.
When I press F4 and navigate to the hierarchy nodes I always get data for all nodes I have tried, but when I type in the node number directly in the selection screen I get data for some nodes wheras for others I get "No applicable data found".
When I navigate in the hierarchy I can see that below each node there is a leaf with the same customer number (see example below), and that when I type in a customer hierarchy node number in the selection screen the query chooses the node for some numbers (and data is displayed) and for some numbers chooses the leaf (and no data is displayed).
    Example:
    0035 (node)
    -   0035 (leaf)
    - 11003 (leaf)
    - 11004 (leaf)
    - 11005 (leaf)
It would be preferrable if I could type in the values directly as this would save time. So I would like to know if there is a way to make sure that the node is always selected rather than the leaf, or if it is just random?
    All help is much appretiated!
    Edited by: christian.nilsson on Sep 28, 2011 5:40 PM

    Hi
Thanks for the answer. I tried it but unfortunately it did not solve my problem. The issue is that for some hierarchies the leaf is found instead of the node (see my earlier post).
So if there would be a way to only search for only nodes, that could be a solution.
    Kind regards

  • How to filter hierarchy node in BEX query designer

    Dear experts
We are working on FI balance sheet with hierarchy infoobject 0GLACCEXT. Example of our balance sheet is as follow:
    Parent Node A = 20
         Sub-parent Node A1 = 10
             Leaf A11 = 5
                 Leaf A12 = 5
    Parent Node B = 20
         Sub-parent Node B1 = 10
                   Leaf B11 = 5
                   Leaf B12 = 5
    We require only:
        Sub-parent Node A1 = 10
        Leaf B12 = 5
So I filter those out in BEX restriction;  however, after we examine the report in tcode RSRT, "Sub-parent Node A1" is not shown in BEX Report, and the result is as follow:
    Parent Node B = 5
         Sub-parent Node B1 = 5
                 Leaf B12 = 5
Are there solutions for us to show merely A1 and B12 ?

    Hi Chu
    Try the following steps.
    Initial Output
In this example I will restrict the query for only displaying Node 8603 and leaf 9000
Proceed to restrict the Characteristic. Please be aware of the difference between hierarchy nodes and leaf characteristic values. Also set the Hierarchy display properties to expand up to level 1.
    Execute the query again:
Please be aware that users will still be able to expand node 8603 and see the lower level nodes/leaf. In order to restrict users from doing this set up users authorizations.
    Regards,
    Carlos

  • IP - Various problems with BEX Analyser - help would be nice

    Hi,
we use IP in combination with BEX analyser. We experience certain problems. Does anyone experienced the same issues mentioned below:
    1) if a planning function is executed, it is executed twice when your cursor is within the query itself. If it is outside the query when clicking on the button, it is executed once (like it should).
    2) Locking: we don't have locking problems, but from the moment two people lock each other once, they need to close their analyser and re-open it (so logon again) in order to be able to start planning again in a non-locked part. If they just change their selection (to the not-lock part) they remain locked!!!
    3) planning function with multiple variables: system cannot retrieve values of all variables.
    details of function:
    CMD                                               1       EXECUTE_PLANNING_FUNCTION
    PLANNING FUNCTION NAME           1      AG10_COPY01
    DATA PROVIDER_FILTER                 1     DATA_PROVIDER_1
    VAR_NAME                                     1       PROF_CTR
    VAR_VALUE                                    1       510
    VAR_NAME                                     2     PERIOD
    VAR_VALUE                                    2        012
    VAR_NAME                                     3       CUSTOMER
    VAR_VALUE                                    3     1000
-> following the instruction of the SAP course, in case of multiplle variables they should start from 0 and have an incremental increase. But the system only recognizes the variable with index = 1
    regards
    D

    Dear Dries,
could it be that the variable type you use require a different set of commands?
In general the parameters of the BEx Analyzer follow the rules of the SAp BW 3.5 Webruntime. When reading this detailed documentation you find that depending on the type of variable other names have to be used, e.g. when using a selection option variable you need something line varname_low, varname_high, ...
The documentation can be found in the online-help:
