Hierarchy showing not assigned in Bex report

Hi all,
I created an hierarchy on an infoobject, I included this infobject in a cube without populating the hierarchy infoobject in the cube (as I only need it for selection in the variable screen).
However the hierarchy is showing unassigned without relevant nodes; all the nodes are active in the H table.
how can I get the hierarchy to show in the variable screen or report?
please any suggestions on this?

Hi,
In the Query Designer, you can restrict characteristics by hierarchy or by hierarchy node, on a fixed or variable basis.

BW hierarchy variable not working in Crystal Report 2008

Hi,
I have created BEx 7.0 report which has hierarchy on 0customer object, the report is working fine whith hierarchy variable. I have created Crystal Report by using this query as source. I have followed below link to create grouping to get data through hierarchy variable.

But report does not work for hierarchy variable and report is blank. When I give filter of child node which has actual data then I get report output. For ex.
Below hierarchy for 0customer
11396
- 737007
- 123456
When I run report for 11396 then no data display but when I run 737007 child node I get report output but with blank group name.
Can anyone came accross this issue. Please guide me . Thanks in advance.

The word filter means, I have hierarchy node variable in the BEx report that has become Parameter in CR. When I give hierarchy node variable value of parent node then there is not data display but for the child node I get the data.
For ex. In the info cube there is data for 730707 customer but in the customer hierarchy the parent node of 73707 is 11396. I am giving 11396 in the variable pop screen for hierarchy variable. I do not see any data but for 73707 I get data.
User does not know 73707, he always enter 11396 customer no. and he gets data in BEx query that is source of CR. but crystal report is not showing data for 11396.
One more point I want to tell here, I am saving CR at my local system not to SAP BW server.
Hope this clear my issue.

FSV not assigned accounts in Report Painter

Hi
I created one report through Report painter for Balance display.
After Execution of the report in Drilldown many Balance sheet G/Ls are showing as not assigned in the report.
As they are assigned in the Financial statement version.The G/Ls not assigned are the Balance Sheet G/L.

Can you please check the financial statement version which might have been included in the general data section of the report or the column characteristics. Also check the row element/ cell element defination.

Product hierarchy is showing 'Not assigned Materials' in Bex Report

Dear Gurus,
I have loaded product hierarchy to 0material from 0PROD_HIER_LPRH_HIER successfully. In Bex report if i use product hierarchy nothing showing to me and it is showing message in one row like 'Not assigned Materials.
If i remove the Hierarchy i am able to see all materials in the report.
I have searched in sdn but i didnt get any help.Please help me in this issue.

Display attribute incorrectly reported as "not assigned" in BEX Analyser

Hi SCN
I have a simple BEX query on a master data infoobject which displays the object key and several display attributes. One of the attributes is often reported incorrectly as "not assigned" although the behaviour is erratic and can sometimes be correct from day to day. I have checked the master data table and there should be a value ... when I run the report in RSRT, the attribute is correctly reported !
I have checked the infoobject in RSRV for errors (all lights are green), deleted the cache and set the report to not use caching in RSRT but the attribute is still frequently "not assigned"
all very weird ... any thoughts ?

Navigational attribute data not visible in BEx Report

Hello All,
I am facing following problem in one of my BEx reports:
I am fetching data from an ODS. With other columns of ODS, I have also to show few navigational attributes( which are master data of some info-object) . In report the corresponding data in navigational attributes is not visible for few records, although when I see the master data of this Info-object (whose navigational attributes I have to include), in Adm. Wrkbench the data is visible. I wonder what step is missing.

Hi Roberto,
While trying to activate the Infoobject's master data (by right-click) I get the following message,
"Lock NOT set for: Loading master data attributes"
And the data is not activated.
Can you please suggest what needs to be done.

How to show Blank values in Bex Report

Hi friends ,
                   In my bex report one of the KF Column having zero's and Blank values .
Ex .   Mat     Price
          A         0
          B
          C        15
                                when i create a condition Price > 0
Then the given Out put is
                                        Mat     Price
                                         C        15
                                                                   but the required Out put is
                                                                                                           Mat     Price
                                                                                                            B
                                                                                                            C        15
I.e I have to Remove only zeros and i should show blank values. Could you pls give some Ideas on this .

The user don't want see materials Price1 which is Zero . So I should remove materials A and F in Price1 column .
IF i apply condition on Price1 > 0 in the out put B and D also not displaying bcoz blank values consider as Zero.
Can you pls give some ideas how to full fill this Requirement

0ORGUNIT Hierarchy and Not Assigned

Hello Everyone,
I am using 0ORGUNIT and the associated ORGEH hierarchy.
I execute my query with a date of 01/01/2006 - 12/31/2006 and the Org Unit hierarchy display always shows :
Organizational Unit
   Not Assigned Organizational Unit (s)
   1000            Division South
   1001            Division SouthEast
Why do I always get the 'Not Assigned Organizational Unit (s) displayed? Even if I change my date range it doesn't matter.
I did notice that if I go into RSD1 for 0ORGUNIT and maintain hierarchy the short description for this hierarchy is displayed in German. Could this be it? If so, how to translate?

I just realized it is the REST_H 'Not Assigned' node. I read the documentation on this, but still don't understand fully it's purpose or how to get rid of it.

How to assign a Bex report to the user role

in the Excel, when you open a query, the system will display history, faviourate, infoarea, role button on the left side of the popup screen. if you click the role button, you can see the user authorized Bex report. now I have created a Bex report and I want to assign it to the user role.
how to do that?
does anyboday know which transcation or setting can solve this problem?

You need to add the object S_RS_COMP:
S_RS_COMP: Authorizations for using different components for the query definition. This authorization object is very important for reporting
The authorization object S_RS_COMP restricts query component activities. For example, it restricts if someone can create queries, change queries, or execute queries. You can restrict query creation, change, and execution by the InfoArea and InfoCube. If your company has one InfoCube for sales information and another for financial data, you can restrict a user to only those queries written for the sales InfoCube or the financial InfoCube.
You could also use S_RS_COMP if you want to protect by query name. For example, you have an InfoCube for sales data. Every sales manager needs access to this InfoCube. However, sales managers in different lines of business are not allowed to execute the same query.

KF value is not Displayed in BEx Report ..where as cube, mpro end ok..!!

I ran a bex report. In that report KF some NetsSalesValue has not displayed in the BI Report for all the Sales Organiations where as other KFs has displayed the value for all the Sales Organizations.
For that i checked my end. BI report is pulling data from Cube --> Multiprovider --> Bex Report.
I myself checked KF value into Cube level, multiprovider KF level value is avaialable.
And also i checked, in the query properties is there any filters, RKF, CKF, but...i found the KF is a basic KF.
And also..i checked the whether the rollup has happened..properly or not and ran the query but no use.
For your info upto 3 days..back KF value has presented in the report. After that only this issue has encounterred.
I am in confusion where the exact issue will be.
If any body faced this kind of scenario is your project, kindly reply me.
For any more clarifications i will respond you immediately.

Hi,
check aggregates,index etc for cube
check key figure selection as well in Multiprovider for respective Infoprovider
just create test query on Infoprovider and then on Multiprovider and see..
Check RSRT - regenerate the query
also see there are various options like execute+debug has ....just check them

Bex Query Exception Not Appearing In Bex Report

I have a created an exception in a Bex Query and built a report using the Bex Report Designer. But the exceptions that work fine in the query dont seem to work once I've embedded the query in a report. Is this right? is it not possible to use exceptions in a report or do I need to turn something on etc?

Pls refer the OSS # 331772 reg. this limitation. Exceptions if applied will not be dynamic in RD.
Report designer is a flat structure. You cannot collapse or expand the static columns. Hence, Conditions/Exceptions are not supported in Report Designer. You may try alternatively in WAD. It will surely work in WAD for formatted web based reports.

Data for a node in Hierarchy not displayed in BEx report.

I have a time dependent hierarchy on 0ORGUNIT. There is a report which displays employee wise, ORGUNIT wise data. This report is based on a Infocube which also has 0ORGUNIT updated in it as a charecteristic.
When i view the contents of the cube for a particular orgunit (5000397), employee (5980) for a particular time range (01.01.2011 - 16.01.2011), it gives me some data. However when i execute a report in BEx (7.0) with the same restrictions; it shows 'No applicable data found'.
In the query designer I have corectly assigned the hierarchy properties to 0ORGUNIT with the hierarchy name, version and date (last date of the user entered time range). Also the hierarchy has been uploaded with the latest data i.e. for orgunit 50000397 there is an entry for the period: 01.09.2009 - 31.12.9999.
Can you please suggest.

Can you check and make sure..that there are no other Global filters in the Query Design..

Filters are not working in Bex report

Hi All,
I got a strange issue in my project.
There is a report in Bex analyzer, after got the report result user trying to put filter on one navigational attribute, unfortunaltely filter is not working.
For example:
User ran the report and got the output, now user tried to filter on country with the value"India", but the report showing all the countries in the result.
What could be the problem, I have checked all the settings.
I did not get any clue. Could you please throw some light and help me.

'Not Assigned ' value in Report

Hi,
I have my Admin Cockpit report which shows # values for TIMESTAM values. The timestamp are for Last load, last Aggregation, Last Compresstion of the cubes.
the Data flows from Virtual Cube> MultiProvider > Query.
I can see that the relevant data is available in Virtual cube, but the Multiprovider is showing values to ZERO.
Multiprovider shows appropriate Timestamps for DSOs but not cubes.
In query the result rows are 'Always' Suppressed.
Please let me know that at which stage the data is missing. Since it has Virtual Cube it extracts data Run time, how to remove this # values then.

PS: When ever you create a multiprovider the identification of the Keyfigures and Char's is mandatory. If you didn't maintain this then you won't get data or you will get wrong data.

Info obeject discription not apearing in Bex report

Hi All,
We have some queries having 0employee as one of info object. In queries for some employees, it is showing id only in both code & text column and for some employees, it is showing id in code column and blank in text column. when i checked in text table for these employees i can see short,middle,long descriptions. but not showing in report.
Can somebody help getting this resolved please.

i think your are working on the DEV system.
if it is the PRD you will get all master data.
in dev you can check the specific one or 2 records.
we are not getting the text will fallow same sequence.
have maintain object level all texts.
