Hello
It seems that the checkbox "Enable High Availability" just above your screenshot is not checked.
See status message and solutions with this link.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cups/8_6/english/install_upgrade/deployment/guide/dgcupc.html
You can try
- Utils system restart of CUPS Publisher
- Wait 10 minutes
- Utils system restart of CUPS Subscriber
Then when both servers are up
- Uncheck HA and Save
- Check HA and Save
- Click on Rebalance users if load sharing is needed

    Dear Experts,
    I'm installing ERP production systems on MSCS of Windows 2008.
    After successfully installing ASCS, I follow the section 7.4.5 of

    Hello Arjun,
    Have you executed any other installation prior this attempt?
    It seems there are unfinished installations on this server. If this is the case, run the SWPM to uninstall the unfinished installation. Then, execute the installation once again.
    Also, make sure all IPs are corrects in the DND and host files. There were cases in which the IPs were not properly configured, or maybe a typo.

    Hi,
    Are both the CUP servers in different subnets/networks? If yes, then there is a setting under cluster topology page that has to be modified. It must be in Settings under cluster topology page. The default parameter will be 'MDNS'. This has to be changed to 'Router to Router' if the servers are in different subnets.

  • 11.1.2 High Availability for HSS LCM

    Hello All,
    Has anyone out there successfully exported an LCM artifact (Native Users) through Shared Services console to the OS file system (<oracle_home>\user_projects\epmsystem1\import_export) when Shared Services is High Available through a load balancer?
    My current configuration is two load balanced Shared Services servers using the same HSS repository. Everything works perfectly everywhere except when I try to export anything through LCM from the HSS web console. I have shared out the import_export folder on server 1. And I have edited the oracle_home>\user_projects\epmsystem1\config\FoundationServices1\migration.properties file on the second server to point to the share on the first server. Here is a cut and paste of the migration.properties file from server2.
    grouping.size=100
    grouping.size_unknown_artifact_count=10000
    grouping.group_by_type=Y
    report.enabled=Y
    report.folder_path=<epm_oracle_instance>/diagnostics/logs/migration/reports
    fileSystem.friendlyNames=false
    msr.queue.size=200
    msr.queue.waittime=60
    group.count=10000
    double-encoding=true
    export.group.count = 30
    import.group.count = 10000
    filesystem.artifact.path=\\server1\import_export
    I perform an export of just the native users to the file system, the export fails stating and I find errors in the log stating the following.
    [2011-03-29T20:20:45.405-07:00] [EPMLCM] [NOTIFICATION] [EPMLCM-11001] [oracle.EPMLCM] [tid: 10] [ecid: 0000Iw4ll2fApIOpqg4EyY1D^e6D000000,0] [arg: /server1/import_export/msr/PKG_34.xml] Executing package file - /server1/import_export/msr/PKG_34.xml

    I go and look for the path that it is searching for "/server1/import_export/msr/PKG_34.xml" and find that this file does exist, it was infact created by the export process so I know that it is able to find the correct location, but it then says that it can't find it after the fact. I have tried creating mapped drives and editing the migration.properties file to reference the mapped drive but it gives me the same errors but with the new path. I also tried the below article that I found in support with no result. Please advise, thank you.

    it is not possible to implement a kind of HA between two different appliances 3315 and 3395.
    A node in HA can have the 3 persona.
    Suppose Node A (Admin(primary), monitoring(Primary) and PSN).
    Node B(Admin(Secondary), Monitoring(Secondary) and PSN).
    If the Node A is unavailable, you will have to promote manually the Admin role to Primary.
    Although the best way is to have
    Node A Admin(Primary), Monitoring(Secondary) and PSN
    Node B Admin(Secondary), Monitoring (Primary) and PSN.

  • Office Web Apps farm - how to make it high available

    Hi there,
    I have deployed OWAs for Lync 2013 with two servers in one farm. When I was testing, e.g. the case when other server is down I found out the following error:
    Log Name:      Microsoft Office Web Apps
    Source:        Office Web Apps
    Date:          17/03/2014 22:59:54
    Event ID:      8111
    Level:         Error
    Computer:      OWASrv02.domain.com
    Description:
    A Word or PowerPoint front end failed to communicate with backend machine
    http://OWASrv01:809/pptc/Viewing.svc
    Does that means, that OWAs cannot setup as high avaiable when using standalone OWAs only? Above error appeared when the server OWASrv01 was rebooting.
    Petri

    Hi Petri,
    For your scenario, you have achieve a  high performance for your Office Web Apps farm but not high availability.
    For performing a high availability Office Web Apps farm, you can refer to the blog:

    I'm deploying OIM 11g in High Available schema, following Oracle docs: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/core.1111/e10106/imha.htm#CDEFECJF, I have succesfully installed and configured OIM & SOA in weblogic domain on 'OIMHOST1', trying to propagate the configuration from 'OIMHOST1' to 'OIMHOST2' I have packed (using pack.sh) the domain on 'OIMHOST1' and unpacked (using unpack.sh) it to 'OIMHOST2' so I have updated the NodeManager executing setNMProps.sh and finally Ihave started the NodeManager. In order to Test everything is fine and following the documentation I'm traying to perform the following steps, but I'm not succeed
    I'M MUST TO SAY THAT I'M RUNNING ON SINGLE STANDARD EDITION DB INSTANCE AND NOT RAC AS MENTIONED IN ORACLE DOCS, PLEASE CLARIFY IF RAC IS REQUIRED, FOR NOW I'M IN DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT, SO I THINK RAC IS NOT REQUIRED FOR NOW, PLEASE CLARIFY
    8.9.3.8.3 Start the WLS_SOA2 and WLS_OIM2 Managed Servers on OIMHOST2
    Follow these steps to start the WLS_SOA2 and WLS_OIM2 managed servers on OIMHOST2:
    Stop the WebLogic Administration Server on OIMHOST2. Use the WebLogic Administration Console to stop the Administration Server.
    Start the WebLogic Administration Server on OIMHOST2 using the startWebLogic.sh script under the $DOMAIN_HOME/bin directory. For example:
    /u01/app/oracle/admin/OIM/bin/startWebLogic.sh > /tmp/admin.out 2>1&
    Validate that the WebLogic Administration Server started up successfully by bringing up the WebLogic Administration Console.
    Here its not possible start AdminServer on OIMHOST2, first of all, it looks like boot.properties file under WLS_OIM_DOMAIN_HOME/servers/AdminSever/security is not valid, the first time I try to execute startWeblogic.sh script, it ask for username/password, I have updated boot.properties (vi boot.properties) and manually set clear username and password, this time startWeblogic.sh script passed this stage, but fails:
    <Error> <util.install.help.BuildMasterHelpSet> <BEA-000000> <IOException ioe java.io.IOException: No such file or directory>
    <Error> <oracle.adf.share.config.ADFMDSConfig> <BEA-000000> <MDSConfigurationException encountered in parseADFConfigurationMDS-01330: unable to load MDS configuration document
    MDS-01329: unable to load element "persistence-config"
    MDS-01370: MetadataStore configuration for metadata-store-usage "writeable" is invalid.
    MDS-00503: The metadata path "/u01/app/oracle/product/Middleware/user_projects/domains/IDMDomain/sysman/mds" does not contain any valid directories.
    I have verified that this directory "mds" does not exists, as reported by the IOException, in OIMHOST2, but it exists in OIMHOST1. from here its not possible for me following Oracle's documentation, I test this starting Adminserver in OIMHOST1, and starting WLS_SOA2 and WLS_OIM2 managed servers from OIMHOST1 AdminServer console, I have tested 2 ways:
    1.- All managed servers in OIHOST1 are shutdown, for this, managed servers in OIMHOST2 works as expected
    2.- All managed servers in OIMHOST1 are RUNNING, for this, first I have started SOA2 managed server, after that, I have fired OIM2 managed server, when it finish boot process the following message appears in server's output:
    <Warning> <org.quartz.impl.jdbcjobstore.JobStoreCMT> <BEA-000000> <This scheduler instance (servername.domainname1304128390936) is still active but was recovered by another instance in the cluster. This may cause inconsistent behavior.>
    Start the WLS_SOA2 managed server using the WebLogic Administration Console.
    Start the WLS_OIM2 managed server using the WebLogic Administration Console. The WLS_OIM2 managed server must be started after the WLS_SOA2 managed server is started.
    8.9.3.9 Validate the Oracle Identity Manager Instance on OIMHOST2
    Validate the Oracle Identity Manager Server instance on OIMHOST2 by bringing up the Oracle Identity Manager Console using a web browser.
    The URL for the Oracle Identity Manager Console is:
    http://oimvhn2.mycompany.com:14000/oim
    Log in using the xelsysadm password.
    Your help is highly apprecciated

    Hi Vaasu,
    I have succeeded deploying OIM in HA, just now my customer and I are working on the installation of webtier. Now I have a better understand about HA concepts and the way weblogic works -really nice, but little tricky-
    All the magic about HA is configuring properly the network interfaces in each Linux boxes (our case) so, first of all you need to create 2 new floating IP's on each Linux boxes (google: how to create virtual Ip in linux, if you don't know) clone and modify your 'eth0' network script to create the virtual IPs
    Follow the procudere in the HA guide: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/core.1111/e10106/imha.htm#CDEFECJF
    create DB schemas with RCU
    install weblogic
    install SOA
    patch SOA
    install IAM
    ---if you are working on a virtual machine is good idea to take a snapshot here---
    Create and configure the weblogic domain (special attentention whe configuring the cluster), see step 13 of 8.9.3.2 Creating and Configuring the WebLogic Domain for OIM and SOA on OIMHOST1, here you need to cofigure:
    For the oim_server1 entry, change the entry to the following values:
    Name: WLS_OIM1
    Listen Address: the IP that is confured in eth0:1 of Linux box1
    Listen Port: 14000
    For the soa_server1 entry, change the entry to the following values:
    Name: WLS_SOA1
    Listen Address: the IP configure on eth0:2 of Linux box1
    Listen Port: 8001
    For the second OIM Server, click Add and supply the following information:
    Name: WLS_OIM2
    Listen Address: the IP configured on eth0:1 of Linux box2
    Listen Port: 14000
    For the second SOA Server, click Add and supply the following information:
    Name: WLS_SOA2
    Listen Address: the IP configured on eth0:2 of Linux box2
    Listen Port: 8001
    Click Next.
    On Step 16 ensure you are using the UNIX tab to configure the machines, also ensure that for machine1 you use the IP configured on the eth0 interface of Linux box1, the same for machine2
    please confirm you have performered 8.9.3.3.2 Update Node Manager on OIMHOST1
    if everything is ok you must be able to start the AdminServer as described in the guide.
    configure OIM: 8.9.3.4.2 Running the Oracle Identity Management Configuration Wizard, in my case I don't need LDAPsync, I have skipped this section, if you configure properly OIM, then you mus perform 8.9.3.5 Post-Configuration Steps for the Managed Servers
    resrtar AdminServer then from the weblogic console, start OIM and SOA if node manager is properly configured SOA and OIM must run properly, update deployment mode and coherence as described in the guide and verify that OIM run perfectly in Linux box1.
    Propagate OIM from Linux box1 to Linux box2 as described in the guide, using pack and unpack (you MUST use the same filesystem directory structure on both Linux boxes)
    Update and start NodeManager as described in the guide
    VERY IMPORTAN OBSERVATION
    the guide say:
    8.9.3.8.3 Start the WLS_SOA2 and WLS_OIM2 Managed Servers on OIMHOST2
    Follow these steps to start the WLS_SOA2 and WLS_OIM2 managed servers on OIMHOST2:
    Stop the WebLogic Administration Server on OIMHOST2. Use the WebLogic Administration Console to stop the Administration Server.
    JUAN OBSERVATION:
    IS NOT POSSIBLE TO START OR STOP ADMINSERVER ON HOST2 SINCE ADMIN SERVER WERE CONFIGURED TO LISTEN ON THE IP ADDRES OF eth0 INTERFACE ON HOST1, SO, ITS NOT POSSIBLE TO PLAY IT ON HOST2, I THINK AND ADDITIONAL PROCEDURE SHOULD BE FOLLOWED TO CONFIGURE ADMINSERVER IN HA IN A ACTIVE-PASSIVE MODE
    Start the WebLogic Administration Server on OIMHOST2 using the startWebLogic.sh script under the $DOMAIN_HOME/bin directory. For example:
    /u01/app/oracle/admin/OIM/bin/startWebLogic.sh > /tmp/admin.out 2>1& -----NOT APPLICABLE
    Validate that the WebLogic Administration Server started up successfully by bringing up the WebLogic Administration Console. -----NOT APPLICABLE
    Start the WLS_SOA2 managed server using the WebLogic Administration Console. ----START SOA2 FROM THE CONSOLE RUNNING ON HOST1, IT DOESN'T MATTER
    Start the WLS_OIM2 managed server using the WebLogic Administration Console. The WLS_OIM2 managed server must be started after the WLS_SOA2 managed server is started. ------ START OIM2 FROM THE CONSOLE RUNNING ON HOST1
    HERE YOU MUST BE ABLE TO LOGIN TO OIM2 SERVER AS DESCRIBED IN THE GUIDE, YOU DON'T NEED TO EXECUTE config.sh SCRIPT THIS SHOULD WORK AS DESCRIBED.
    Server migration should work straight-forward if you have configured the floating IPs as described, I have not configured the persistence yet since my customer does not have the skills to share a storage.
    I hope this helps, and feel free to comment or complement.
    By the way, did you know how to set up a valid SSL certificate in Windows 2003 server??? I need it to test and Exchange 2007 I'm tryin to integrate

  • User experience question for High Availability

    Hi Experters,
    Not sure whether this is right forum to post this message.
    If anybody has already captured user experience for the failover environment, will appreciate their help on this. I will give overview of environment. Using PowerHA for ASCS/SCS failover, ORACLE Data Guard for Database failover.
    Trying to capture user experience for the failover environment
    if ASCS/SCS fail,
    App Server Fail (using F5 Load Balancer which should reroute, unless all app server fail),
    Database fail
    with following cases:
    1. User logged in, NO ACTIVITY. I believe NO IMPACT either ASCS/SCS fail or DB fail or App Server fail.
    2. User logged in and run a transaction before failover.
         What will happen in case of ASCS / SCS
         What will happen in case of DB failover
       and  what will happen in case of App server fail (NO High Availability, only redundant app servers.      MAX 4 app servers for each component)
    3. User logged in and run a transaction during failover.
       What will happen in case of ASCS / SCS
         What will happen in case of DB failover
       and  what will happen in case of App server fail (NO High Availability, only redundant app servers.      MAX 4 app servers for each component)
    Not sure which one possible or not. Some case thinking system will hang need to refresh. Some case hour glass and then come back once failover complete. and some case session closed completely.
    Thanks for your time and god bless the knowledge you have.
    Saroj

    just try to answer as much as I can (guess)
    > 1. User logged in, NO ACTIVITY. I believe NO IMPACT either ASCS/SCS fail or DB fail or App Server fail.
    DB failed and SCS failed won't have any impact to enduser, but if app server failed, the user session will lost, user will see a pop up error message at their SAPGUI.
    > 2. User logged in and run a transaction before failover.
    >      What will happen in case of ASCS / SCS
    user wont'be effected during failover if user is doing nothing but idle (replica enqueue is working before failover)
    >      What will happen in case of DB failover
    App server won't be able to do much thing but it's work processes into reonnecting status. it should resume (reconnect to DB) when failover is compoleted. So user should be able to continue the sessions.
    >    and  what will happen in case of App server fail (NO High Availability, only redundant app servers.      MAX 4 app servers for each component)
    user sessions in failed app server will be lost. However user should be able to logon agan if
    1)  logon via group, and
    2) within the group, there is at least one appl server alive.
    > 3. User logged in and run a transaction during failover.
    hanging or
    >    What will happen in case of ASCS / SCS
    if the transaction is using enqueue service, for example, then user will get error message.  otherwise, user won't be effected, e.g. if use is just search a list of order. user wont to able to logon via group during the failover.
    You also should be pepared for user connected through message server, .e.g. http request dispatching through message server directly , or via web dispatchr. user wont be able to connect during the failover.
    >      What will happen in case of DB failover
    user will get error message, transaction will be aborted.
    >    and  what will happen in case of App server fail (NO High Availability, only redundant app servers.      MAX 4 app servers for each component)
    very similar case  as case 2.

  • After start of Grid High Availability Service (HAS) can't umount filesystem

    I have weird problem when I start and stop HAS. File system get's into state, where it does not umount. So filesystem where grid software is running can't be umounted on boot. 9Is there something I do wrong, or don't do right.
    I have fresh install of latest 64-bit UEK2 kernel (2.6.39-400.109.1.el6uek.x86) and Oracle 11.2.0.3 Grid Infrastructure for standalone server. I Installed patch p12983005 (112036_Linux-x86-64) to get ACFS support for kernel. When I start HAS and ASM, file system does not umount anymore. Here's steps. Example is from local disk, but I have same problem with LUN from SAN. I thought it might have something to do with SAN and multipath, but SAN is not to blame cos same happens with local disk. Don't know why local disk seem be mapped by multipath in fstab.
    1. Mount fs
    [root@SERVER ~]# mount -t ext4 /dev/mapper/vg_SERVER-lv_app /u01
    2. Start HAS
    [grid@SERVER ~]$ crsctl start has
    CRS-4123: Oracle High Availability Services has been started.
    3. Stop HAS
    [grid@SERVER ~]$ crsctl stop has
    CRS-2791: Starting shutdown of Oracle High Availability Services-managed resources on 'SERVER'
    CRS-2673: Attempting to stop 'ora.cssd' on 'SERVER'
    CRS-2673: Attempting to stop 'ora.LISTENER.lsnr' on 'SERVER'
    CRS-2677: Stop of 'ora.cssd' on 'SERVER' succeeded
    CRS-2677: Stop of 'ora.LISTENER.lsnr' on 'SERVER' succeeded
    CRS-2673: Attempting to stop 'ora.evmd' on 'SERVER'
    CRS-2677: Stop of 'ora.evmd' on 'SERVER' succeeded
    CRS-2793: Shutdown of Oracle High Availability Services-managed resources on 'SERVER' has completed
    CRS-4133: Oracle High Availability Services has been stopped.
    4. Try umount
    [root@SERVER ~]# umount /u01
    umount: /u01: device is busy.
            (In some cases useful info about processes that use
             the device is found by lsof(8) or fuser(1))
    [root@SERVER ~]# fuser /u01
    [root@SERVER ~]# lsof |grep /u01
    Neither of fuser or lsof returns nothing.
    This and the fact that ACFS cannon't be mounted on boot, get's me wondering should I use ASM and Oracle Restart at all at this point. Initial reason is that in future this is likely going to be part of RAC.

    I followed the instructions and copied the edid file I obtained while monitor was connected directly to the specified directory.
    Now I get:
    Jan 17 13:14:09 daniel-think kernel: platform VGA-1: Direct firmware load for edid/medion-edid.bin failed with error -2
    Jan 17 13:14:09 daniel-think kernel: [drm:edid_load] *ERROR* Requesting EDID firmware "edid/medion-edid.bin" failed (err=-2)

  • Topology.svc - Endpoints - Web Services High Availability

    Hi,
    I was recently performing some simple DRP tests before going to production and i faced some issues i never encountered before..
    (followed
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/besidethepoint/archive/2011/02/19/how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-the-sharepoint-topology-service.aspx for usefull commands related to enpoints)
    My farm:
    SP 2013 - CU August 2013
    2 WFE (WFE1, WFE2)
    2 App (App1, App2) : Most services started on both servers (UPSS on APP1, UPS on both) - Central Admin on Both.
    SQL Cluster
    At normal state the command : (Get-SPTopologyServiceApplicationProxy).ApplicationProxies | Format-List *
    returns > ServiceEndpointUri :
    https://app1:32844/Topology/topology.svc
    (if i'm not wrong, this topology.svc can run on only one server at a time)
    I stopped WFE1, no pb, the NBL (appliance) is doing the job.
    Then I stopped the App1 and started to have some issues. (most enpoints not balanced to app2)
    I run the job "Application Addresses Refresh Job"
    Or launch PS command : Start-SPTimerJob job-spconnectedserviceapplication-addressesrefresh
    Wait 20 sec.
    A few endpoints are now on APP2 (MMS, Search), it seems to work, i reached my web page.
    I ask a mate to try and he got the "sorry we encountered and error..." > Can't load user profile.
    I refreshed my browser and got the same error.......
    ULS review, I can see that some svc request (most about user, profiledbcacheService) are still on APP1 !!
    A failure was reported when trying to invoke a service application: EndpointFailure Process Name: w3wp Process ID: 6784 AppDomain Name: /LM/W3SVC/93617642/ROOT-1-130445830237578923 AppDomain ID: 2 Service Application Uri: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:sharepoint:service:e8315f8e5d7d4b1b90876e3b0043a4ae#authority=urn:uuid:164efb17f28c4d2d9702ce3e86f0c0e8&authority=https://app1:32844/Topology/topology.svc
    Active Endpoints: 1 Failed Endpoints:1 Affected Endpoint:
    http://app1:32843/e8315f8e5d7d4b1b90876e3b0043a4ae/ProfileService.svc
    The command (Get-SPTopologyServiceApplicationProxy).ApplicationProxies | Format-List *
    Still return me that my topology.svc is on
    https://app1:32844/Topology/topology.svc
    But App1 is down !!
    If my understanding is ok: Normally, the internal round robin loadbalancer (Application Discovery and Load Balancer Service, started on all servers, not configurable) should manage this.
    Application Addresses Refresh Job is running each 15 min. and refreshs available endpoints, using the topology.svc
    But, the topology.svc called is always on APP1 which is down !
    At this time, i haven't found why SharePoint is not detecting that APP1 is down and is not
    automatically recreating a topology service on another available server.....
    If you have any idea...your help is welcome :)
    Regards,
    O.P

    Hi  ,
    For achieving Web Services High Availability, you need to make sure service-applications have more than one server to service them to increase back-end resiliency to a SharePoint server dropping off the network.
    You can refer to the blog:

  • ASA 5520: Configuring Active/Standby High Availability

    Hi,
    I am new to Cisco firewalls. We are moving from a different vendor to Cisco ASA 5520s.
    I have two ASA 5520s running ASA 8.2(5). I am managing them with ASDM 6.4(5).
    I am trying to setup Active/Standby using the High Availability Wizard. I have interfaces on each device setup with just an IP address and subnet mask. Primary is 10.1.70.1/24 and secondary is 10.1.70.2/24. The interfaces are connected to a switch and these interfaces are the only nodes on this switch. When I run the Wizard on the primary, configure for Active/Standby, enter the peer IP of 10.1.70.2 and I get an error message saying that the peer test failed, followed by an error saying ASDM is temporarily unable to connect to the firewall.
    I tried this using a crossover cable to connect the interfaces directly with the same result.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
    Dan

    The command Varun is right.
    Since you want to know a little bit more about this stuff, here goes a bit. Every interface will have a secondary IP and a Primary IP where the Active/Standby pair will exchange hello packes. If the hellos are not heard from mate, the the unit is delcare failed.
    In case the primary is the one that gets an interface down, it will failover to the other unit, if it is the standby that has the problem, the active unit will declare the other Unit "standby failed). You will know that everything is alright when you do a show failover and the standby pair shows "Standby Ready".
    For configuring it, just put a secondary IP on every interface to be monitored (If by any chance you dont have an available secondary IP for one of the interfaces you can avoid monitoring the given interface using the command no "monitor-interface nameif" where the nameif is the name of the interface without the secondary IP.
    Then put the commands for failover and stateful link, the stateful link will copy the connections table (among other things) to avoid downtime while passing from One unit to another, This link should have at least the same speed as the regular data interfaces.
    You can configure the failover link and the stateful link in just one interface, by just using the same name for the link, remember that this link will have a totally sepparate subnet from the ones already used in firewall.
    This is the configuration
    failover lan unit primary
    failover lan interface failover gig0/3
    failover link failover gig0/3
    failover interface ip failover 10.1.0.1 255.255.255.0 standby 10.1.0.2
    failover lan unit secondary
    failover lan interface failover gig0/3
    failover link failover gig0/3
    failover interface ip failover 10.1.0.1 255.255.255.0 standby 10.1.0.2
    Make sure that you can ping each other secondary/primary IP and then put the command
    failover first on the primary and then on the secondary.
    That would fine.
    Let me know if you have further doubts.

  • JSPM in high availability

    Dear Friends,
    I have installed PI 7.1 in High availability using Microsoft windows MNS based cluster. It was with initial patch level 04 of Netweaver 710.
    I have installed SCS, ASCS, Enque Replication Services etc in cluster mode. I have installed primary application server on Node 2 and Additional Application server on Node 1.
    Now I installed SP07 using JSPM from my Primary Application server i.e. Node 1. It went successfully and my support Pack level was upgraded to Sp07. But now when I open Java stack in Node 1, It shows only home page using url - http://10.6.4.178:50000
    After that if I open any link e.g. UME or NWA, it does not open and throughs following error :
    Service cannot be reached
    What has happened?
    URL http://10.6.4.178:50000/wsnavigator call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
    Note
    The termination occurred in system PIP with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.
    The selected virtual host was 0 .
    What can I do?
    Please select a valid URL.
    If it is a valid URL, check whether service /wsnavigator is active in transaction SICF.
    If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

    Your SAP Internet Communication Framework Team
    Java is started properly on both the nodes without any error. While it is working fine on Node 2 i.e. 10.6.4.179.
    Please suggest ! Do we need to do so special step for installing patch through JSM in High availability setup?
    Jitendra Tayal

    Hi Jitendra,
    While doing a patch upgrade with JSPM in HA scenario, you need to switch off the automatic switchover option because, once the components are deployed, the J2ee gets restarted. If the automatic failover is active, the service gets switched over to the other node.
    In this case, shutdown all the instances and stop the cluster.
    Restart the systems. Start the cluster in the original servers.
    Restart JSPM.
    It should work fine then.
    Let me know if it is helpful.
    Best Regards

  • UOO sequencing along with WLS high availability cluster and fault tolerance

    Hi WebLogic gurus.
    My customer is currently using the following Oracle products to integrate Siebel Order Mgmt to Oracle BRM:
    * WebLogic Server 10.3.1
    * Oracle OSB 11g
    They use path service feature of a WebLogic clustered environment.
    They have configured EAI to use the UOO(Unit Of Order) Weblogic 10.3.1 feature to preserve the natural order of subsequent modifications on the same entity.
    They are going to apply UOO to a distributed queue for high availability.
    They have the following questions:
    1) When during the processing of messages having the same UOO, the end point becomes unavailable, and another node is available in order to migrate, there is a chance the UOO messages exist in the failed endpoint.
    2) During the migration of the initial endpoint, are these messages persisted?
    By persisted we mean that when other messages arrive with the same UOO in the migrated endpoint this migrated resource contains also the messages that existed before the migration?
    3) During the migration of endpoints is the client receiving error messages or not?
    I've found an entry on the WLS cluster documentation regarding fault tolerance of such solution.
    Special Considerations For Targeting a Path Service
    When the path service for a cluster is targeted to a migratable target, as a best practice, the path
    service and its custom store should be the only users of that migratable target.
    When a path service is targeted to a migratable target its provides enhanced storage of message
    unit-of-order (UOO) information for JMS distributed destinations, since the UOO information
    will be based on the entire migratable target instead of being based only on the server instance
    hosting the distributed destinations member.
    Do you have any feedback to that?
    My customer is worry about loosing UOO sequencing during migration of endpoints !!
    best regards & thanks,
    Marco

    First, if using a distributed queue the Forward Delay attribute controls the number of seconds WebLogic JMS will wait before trying to forward the messages. By default, the value is set to −1, which means that forwarding is disabled. Setting a Forward Delay is incompatible with strictly ordered message processing, including the Unit-of-Order feature.
    When using unit-of-order with distributed destinations, you should always send the messages to the distributed destination rather than to one of its members. If you are not careful, sending messages directly to a member destination may result in messages for the same unit-of-order going to more than one member destination and cause you to lose your message ordering.
    When unit-of-order messages are processed, they will be processed in strict order. While the current unit-of-order message is being processed by a message consumer, the next message in the unit-of-order will not be delivered unless it is to the same transaction or session. If no message associated with a particular unit-of-order is processing, then a message associated with that unit-of-order may go to any session that’s consuming from the message’s destination. This guarantees that all messages will be processed one at a time and in order, and any rollback or recover will not prevent ordered processing of the messages.
    The path service uses a persistent store to save the state of which member destination a particular unit-of-order is currently using. When a Path Service receives the first message for a particular unit-of-order bound for a distributed destination, it uses the normal JMS load balancing heuristics to select which member destination will handle the unit and writes that information into its persistent store. The Path Service ensures that a new UOO, or an old UOO that has no messages currently on any destination, can be enqueued anywhere in the cluster. Adding and removing member destinations will not disrupt any existing unit-of-order because the routing decision is made dynamically and those decisions are persistent.
    If the Path Service is unavailable, any requests to create new units-of-order will throw the JMSOrderException until the Path Service is available. Information about existing units-of-order are cached in the connection factory and destination servers so the Path Service availability typically will not prevent existing unit-of-order messages from being sent or processed.
    Hope this helps.

  • SAP Web Dispatcher in a high availability environment

    Hello, guys
    We are working in a CRM 7.0 implementation Project. Our system landscape is the following:
       - Two hosts (host1 & host2) on MSCS cluster (Windows 2008) with SQL Server and ASCS in high availability. Additional, this MSCS cluster has a instance of SAP Web Dispatcher.
       - In these two host weu2019ve installed a CI & DI instance, outside of high availability scope
       - Two additional hosts (host3 & host4) with one dialog instance in every host
    We have severe problems with communication between SAP Web Dispatcher and ICM components. Our configuration schema is the next:
       - ASCS (MSCS_virtual_hostname):
    ms/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8141
    SAPLOCALHOSTFULL = <MSCS_virtual_hostname>.<domain>
       - IC (host1)
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8040,TIMEOUT=90,PROCTIMEOUT=600
    icm/host_name_full = <host1>.<domain>
       - ID1 (host2)
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8044,TIMEOUT=90,PROCTIMEOUT=600
    icm/host_name_full = <host2>.<domain>
       - ID3 (host3)
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8045,TIMEOUT=90,PROCTIMEOUT=600
    icm/host_name_full = <host3>.<domain>
       - ID4 (host4)
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8046,TIMEOUT=90,PROCTIMEOUT=600
    icm/host_name_full = <host4>.<domain>
       - SAP Web Dispatcheer (MSCS_virtual_hostname):
    SAPGLOBALHOST = <MSCS_virtual_hostname>
    SAPLOCALHOSTFULL = <MSCS_virtual_hostname>.<domain>
    SAPLOCALHOST = <MSCS_virtual_hostname>
    SAPLOCALHOST = <MSCS_virtual_hostname>
    ms/http_port = 8141
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP, PORT=8042,TIMEOUT=30,PROCTIMEOUT=600
    wdisp/add_xforwardedfor_header = TRUE
    In SAP Web Dispatcher log weu2019ve found the following error messages:
    Fri Jan 28 15:45:22 2011
    ***LOG Q0I=> NiPConnect2: connect (10061: WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused)
    *** ERROR => NiPConnect2: SiPeekPendConn failed for hdl 6 / sock 130060
        (SI_ECONN_REFUSE/10061; I4; ST; 192.168.6.182:8044)
    *** ERROR => Connection request to host: , service: 8044 failed (NIECONN_REFUSED)
    SAP Web Dispather is trying to connect to connect with dialog instances through , which itu2019s incorrect (ports 8044, 8045 & 8046 are opened in dialog instances, not in virtual instance). I think it should try with real hostnames (host1, host2, host3 & host4).
    ¡¡Please, help!! Thanks in advance
