High defaults on kt4v?

Hi all, i have the msi kt4v L and have everything is running fine!
I have been instructed to set my bios features to high defaults? and doing this will improve my pc? so im told!
Will it? And what exactly does it do?
Thanks in advance
Spec is in sig!

it picks more aggressive bios options, mostley ram timmings,if its stable its better if not go back to default settings

  • MSI R7850 2GD5/OC high default voltage

I've been looking for some information about R7850 core voltage today. What I've found is pretty surprising for me.
I was wondering why am I getting so high clocks without raising the voltage (I've got 1150MHz stable) and today I've tried new Afterburner 3.0.0 with voltage support and saw it.
I have 1,21V on core at full load by default. Isn't it too much?

Individual GPUs usually differ from the voltage needed. There is no fix voltage for all 7850s. While there are some needing way less voltage many oc models of the 7850 come with 1.2+V. Anything below 1.25v should be a normal voltage for a 7850.

  • Default maximum packet size in 3.7.0.1

    Hello,
It looks like there is another reason for performing a full cluster restart to apply the first patch for 3.7 (3.7.0.1). On a machine with MTU=1500, it appears that the default maximum packet size value was changed from 1452 to 65535 and this change prevents the cluster from forming during a rolling upgrade.

    Can you please confirm?
    Cheers,
    Alexey

    Hi Alexey,
Yes, the default maximum packet size for 3.7 was supposed to have been 65535, there was however a bug which prevented this from working. 3.7.0.1 fixes this issue, and thus "introduces" the new higher default value. A rolling restart is still possible, you would however need to manually configure the maximum to be 1468. The new maximum of 65535 allows the Coherence default configuration to support large clusters (greater then ~450 JVMs), where as the old default configuration would prevent new members from joining and would require a re-configuration and full restart.
    thanks,
    Mark

  • Dynamic Calc processor cannot lock more than [100] ESM blocks during the calculation, please increase CalcLockBlock setting and then retry(a small data cache setting could also cause this problem, please check the data cache size setting).

    Hi,
Our Environment is Essbase 11.1.2.2 and working on Essbase EAS and Shared Services components. One of our user tried to run the Cal Script of one Application and faced this error.
Dynamic Calc processor cannot lock more than [100] ESM blocks during the calculation, please increase CalcLockBlock setting and then retry(a small data cache setting could also cause this problem, please check the data cache size setting).
I have done some Google and found that we need to add something in Essbase.cfg file like below.
1012704 Dynamic Calc processor cannot lock more than number ESM blocks during the calculation, please increase CalcLockBlock setting and then retry (a small data cache setting could also cause this problem, please check the data cache size setting).
    Possible Problems
Analytic Services could not lock enough blocks to perform the calculation.
    Possible Solutions
Increase the number of blocks that Analytic Services can allocate for a calculation:
Set the maximum number of blocks that Analytic Services can allocate to at least 500.
If you do not have an $ARBORPATH/bin/essbase.cfg file on the server computer, create one using a text editor.
In the essbase.cfg file on the server computer, set CALCLOCKBLOCKHIGH to 500.
    Stop and restart Analytic Server.
Add the SET LOCKBLOCK HIGH command to the beginning of the calculation script.
Set the data cache large enough to hold all the blocks specified in the CALCLOCKBLOCKHIGH setting.
    Determine the block size.
    Set the data catche size.
Actually in our Server Config file(essbase.cfg) we dont have below data  added.
    CalcLockBlockHigh 2000
    CalcLockBlockDefault 200
    CalcLockBlocklow 50
So my doubt is if we edit the Essbase.cfg file and add the above settings and restart the services will it work?  and if so why should we change the Server config file if the problem is with one application Cal Script. Please guide me how to proceed.
    Regards,
    Naveen

Your calculation needs to hold more blocks in memory than your current set up allows.
From the docs (quoting so I don't have to write it, not to be a smarta***:
CALCLOCKBLOCK specifies the number of blocks that can be fixed at each level of the SET LOCKBLOCK HIGH | DEFAULT | LOW calculation script command.
When a block is calculated, Essbase fixes (gets addressability to) the block along with the blocks containing its children. Essbase calculates the block and then releases it along with the blocks containing its children. By default, Essbase allows up to 100 blocks to be fixed concurrently when calculating a block. This is sufficient for most database calculations. However, you may want to set a number higher than 100 if you are consolidating very large numbers of children in a formula calculation. This ensures that Essbase can fix all the required blocks when calculating a data block and that performance will not be impaired.
    Example
If the essbase.cfg file contains the following settings:
    CALCLOCKBLOCKHIGH 500  CALCLOCKBLOCKDEFAULT 200  CALCLOCKBLOCKLOW 50
then you can use the following SET LOCKBLOCK setting commands in a calculation script:
    SET LOCKBLOCK HIGH;
means that Essbase can fix up to 500 data blocks when calculating one block.
Support doc is saying to change your config file so those settings can be made available for any calc script to use.
On a side note, if this was working previously and now isn't then it is worth investigating if this is simply due to standard growth or a recent change that has made an unexpected significant impact.

  • Back To My Mac to a Time Capsule through a 3Com Router not working

I have a Mac Book Pro (10.5.7), Time Capsule (7.4.1), 3Com Office Connect Wireless Router (3CRWDR101A-75), a trial subscription to Mobile Me and a 2.5G iPhone (2.2.1).
I have been unable to get BTTM from my Mac on a remote wireless connection to my Time Capsule working - hence this post.
The set up of the Time Capsule was quite straightforward (as I would have expected from Apple) and I quickly established local and remote iCal / Address Book sync between my Mac, www.me.com and my iPhone. I have enabled and am the 2.4 and 5GHz bands on the Time Capsule and the wireless air interface on the 3Com router has been turned off. All of internet and email services on my Mac work well locally and Time Machine work. So far so good.
However, I am unable to 'see' my Time Capsule in Finder from any WiFi network that is not my home network. When at home I have full access to Time Capsule's disk.
My 3Com Office Router 3CRWDR101A-75 is not on the list of supported routers (nor is any other 3Com Router) but it does provide UPnP and NAT as required according to Mobile Sync notes including http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1552 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1552. Despite my best efforts, I have been unable to find out from Apple's MobileMe support if there are any minimum requirements for any router to work with Back To My Mac so can't check to see if my 3Com router will ever work with BTTM or not.
Does anyone have any similar experience with setting up a 3Com Office Connect router to work with Back to My Mac?
Do I need to check / Can I check if my Time Capsule has been registered with the Mobile Me servers?
Do I need to enable any specific ports on my 3Com Office Connect router?
    Basic settings:
Time Capsule: green light - all OK
AirPort Utility>Internet: Connection Sharing: Off (Bridge Mode)
AirPort Utility>Advanced>Mobile me: account set up
AirPort Utility>Advanced>IPv6: IPv6 mode = Node, at the request of Apple Mobile Me support
System Preferences>Mobile Me>BackToMy Mac: On (green light).
3Com Office Connect Router: DCHP server: On
3Com Office Connect Router: Firewall level: High (default)
3Com Office Connect Router: Disable NAT: Off (default)
3Com Office Connect Router: Enable Universal Plug & Play: On
3Com Office Connect Router: Enable IPSEC-NAT pass through: ON, at the request of Apple Mobile me support
Com Office Connect Router: DMZ: enable 1-to-1 NAT: Off (default)
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Quick update on troubleshooting BTTM (or rather Back To My Time Capsule)...
Surprising;y, no 3Com products listed in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1304. 3Com tech support stated that no OfficeConnect products have been qualified against BTTM and my specific router does not support IPv6 over IPv4 encapsulation.
MobileMe support were not able to help, citing the fact that I had an unsupported router.
I have made no change to my modem/router config since first posted but since an upgrade of my TC to 7.4.2 I have been able to use BTTM with my TC (bridge mode) and my OfficeConnect modem/router (802.11b WiFi disabled).
I have made limited testing from other remote locations from my MBP and also proved that it worked over a 3G/UMTS connection on the UK's 02 network also
MobileMe still reporting uPnP / NAT problem on my MBP when working remotely though.
http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9733258 confirms that this has been solved and, apart from the anomalous Mobileme status message, I can agree.
Good news so now do not need to swap out my 3Com router. Also shows that this 3Com product does meet BTTM connectivity requirements.

  • Problem using image via URL

    Hi everybody
I have a problem with loading images via URL into my PDFs.
    I am using LCD ES2 Version 9.0.1....
I want to create a PDF which loads images from the internet but it does not work.
So far I have tried to add an image or image field to my PDF in the LCD and populate that image using the Object-->Field-->URL: palett. I put the URL in there like this http://www.adobe.com/imageshome/pdfgift_home.gif , tick the "embed image Data" checkbox (also tried with without that just to be sure) and save as Dynamic PDF (I also tried static) but when I open the PDF in adobe reader 9 or 10 or acrobat  9 there is no image showing. I also put the image in a subform and made that subform flowed, as well as the page itself and made the binding global.
I have the form properties - default set to "Acrobat and Adobe Reader version 9.0 or higher", Default Language to JavaScript, PDF Render format to Dynamic PDF.
I also tried using JavaScript events like "form:ready ImageField2.value.#image.href = "http://www.adobe.com/imageshome/pdfgift_home.gif" as discribed here http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/tips/lc_dynamic_images.pdf but that also does not work.
    What am I missing?
Any help would be great and greatly appreciated!!!
    Thanks and best regards
    Norbert

As far as I can tell, this use case is not allowed because of cross site references related security concerns. The form can refer to the images stored on the same server from where the PDF is served, but the images cannot come from external servers.

  • Bootcamp overheating

    Hey there,
I'm trying to explain my problem and my experience with the apple support. Sorry about any mistakes, english isn't my native language.
A few month ago I bought a new Macbook Pro 15", End 2011 (8GB RAM, 2.2GHz i7, OSX 10.7.4) and started to use Windows via Bootcamp. That was a mistake, I think. (Windows + Mac = not working properly) My Mac is running too hot under Bootcamp. The temperature is about 90C (~190F) and you can't touch the keyboard because it's too hot. (You better not put the computer on your leg!!)
I bought my mac because I want OSX and Windows. The advertisment on apple.com told me that it's "no problem" to use Windows by using Bootcamp.
Can I play Windows-based games on my Mac?
Absolutely. Not only can you enjoy your favorite Windows-based games, you can keep on using your favorite gamepads and joysticks. Gaming requires a lot from your processor, graphic card, and RAM, so here are two tips. First, seek out a computer with a separate graphics card, such as an iMac, MacBook Pro, and Mac Pro. Second, use the Boot Camp approach to ensure the smoothest graphics rendering and highest frame rates.
Yeah, it's no problem ... just too hot. I searched for a solution and found out, that Windows isn't using the internal Intel graphic. The only solution I found was to set the fan under OSX to "high" and reboot without turning off the Mac completly. That worked but the fan is set to 6200 rpm. (You can't talk to your friend if you are sitting at the front of your Mac - it's too loud...)
So I called Apple because I thought that they are responsible for problems with bootcamp. That was the biggest mistake I could do. Really.
    First Call:
An staff from apple opened up a ticket for me and said that apple will call me back in a few days. They will find out a sloution for me.
Me: "Yeah, and my mac is running to hot under windows. It's so hot - I can't touch the keyboard anymore!"
Staff: "Oh. That sounds like a problem."
    Oh. Really?
Nothing happend! They did not call me back.
    Second Call:
I called Apple again with the same problem and a staff reopened my ticket. He told me that he want to redirect me to the "bootcamp specialist" and he will find a solution for me. 25 minutes later I talked to a "specialist" and he told me that this is a problem of Microsoft. Apple isn't Microsoft so they don't support Windows, he told me. I have to call Microsoft if there are still problems. The bootcamp drivers are from Microsoft too. My Macbook isn't design to run Windows so it's my problem if it's running too hot.
I'm pretty disappointed about Apple! I bought a 2500$ machine and they promised that it's possible to run Windows and playing high-end games without having any problems. That's wrong! The best part: The problem is known. Many people are having the same trouble and Apple isn't able to help. So, please: Does somebody have a solution to get windows working under Bootcamp really well without overheating and setting the fan speed under OSX?
    Thanks for reading..

I have been coaching for 4 yrs about yes it is 90-95% compatible but thermal sensors and fan control is the major weak link probably.
With Vista, with older Macs, there was a utility - InputRemapper - for keyboard and also could manually boost the fans and set a higher default rpm (1000) with ability to change as needed.
Apple at the bottom of most tech articles has something to effect of providing support to only create partition and install Windows.
And laptops have only gotten to be small and hotter little microwaves.

  • Choppy DVD playback on external monitor

I have a new Samsung Syncmaster monitor, which I am connecting to my MacBook via DVi. I tried playing a DVD in the DVD player, but when I move the window over to my external monitor, the playback is choppy (although the audio plays perfectly). The display resolution for the external monitor is set to 2048 x 1152 by default, and when I change it to 1920 x 1080, the DVD plays perfectly. Is this because something isn't able to support the high default resolution of my external monitor?

How is the Panasonic monitor connected?
How big of a black horizontal line? Is it at the bottom of the screen, or near the bottom of the screen and in the picture?
We need a little better explaination of what you're doing.

  • Security deposit handling in crm: pls help !!

    hi,
can anyone tell me how to handle security deposit management in sap-crm like how to view details of cash and non-cash deposits enterd though ECC/ISU system.
    Pls help me.

    Hi David
    security deposit
You can specify a default value for the cash security deposit for each product. You can use transaction COMMPR01 to determine this default value. You can use the process framework to change this value, for example to adjust it according to the risk class. To do this, proceed as follows:
Choose  Industry-Specific Solutions  Utilities Industry  Settings for User Interface  Transaction Processing  Processes  Define Processes  in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management.
Create a new process definition by copying the process definition CONTRACT_START.
Choose class CL_CRM_IU_PR_CNTR_START_SECDEP as the process class. This class contains a sample implementation.
Copy the process profile DEFAULT and assign the new process definition here.
Create a new user role and assign the function profile IUPROCESS here. You can select the process profile created in the previous step from the input help.
In this implementation, the system calculates the security deposit amount as follows:
Risk class  New security deposit value
No default risk           80% of default value
Low default risk         90 % of default value
Medium default risk   100 % of default value
High default risk         110 % of default value
Very high default risk  120 % of default value
For further information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Customer Relationship Management on the process framework under  Industry-Specific Solutions  Utilities Industry  Settings for User Interface  Transaction Processing  Processes  Define Processes .
Reward points if helpful to u

  • Need help with coding

    Hi
I created a Flash photo gallery in Photoshop CS2, but when I go to load the page the following page comes up first:
It asks me to upgrade my Flash Player. Followed by a line saying: Already have Flash Player. Click here if you already have Flash Player 6 installed.
Hit the link and there is my gallery.
I'm hoping there is a simple bit of code that needs deleting.  I have enclosed the code from the flashobject.js file, does anyone know what needs tweaking to resolve this issue?
    Thanks

  • What sets no.of pulses in 'finite pulse train' intermediate vi

I want to know how the 'finite pulse train' intermediate vi works. from the VI info I find that counter n generates a continuous clock pulse and is gated by a gating signal coming from counetr n-1. but when I actually run this vi, I find that the counter 2 does not generate a continuous clock pulse and the gating signal is also not used at all for this vi.
I also find that the 'no. of pulses' input does not linearly correspond to the no. of pulses but to the speed of the motor as well. ( I am using the counter to generate a clock train that is used to drive a motor). Nevertheless, when I measure the freq from the output of the counter n , I still find it be to the same as the clock freq that I input thro
ugh my program (and hence independant of step pulses). This is surprising because the speed of the motor changes at constant freq clock trian from counter n.
can anyone tell me whats going on here ?
    thanks very much,
    Lalitha.

    Hello Filipe,
well, here's what I find when I run the vi. I am using a PC-TIO-10 board- so I have given the signals with ref to the pin outputs of this board as well.
I do not get a continuous clock pulse at the output of counter 'n' when I run the program with the gate of counter 'n' tied high all the time.
for instance, I tied gate 2 (pin 5) to high all the time and ran the program. I would have expected a continuous clock pulse to be generated at out 2 (pin 6 ). but only a finite clock pulse whose freq corresponded to the input clock freq was output at OUT 2.
then I tied gate 2 to low and repeated the run- again a finite clock pulse was obtained at OUT 2. It behaved as if the gating signal at gate 2 did not matter at all. All this was while
keeping the gate mode at 'count while high' and the pulse polarity at high (default values).
finally, I also wired out 1 (3) to gate 2 (5) and ran the vi. this is exactly the way the I/O connections should be made as per the vi info. but there was no output at OUT 2 (6) even though the gating signal was observed at OUT 1 and therfore tied to gate 2.
thus my VI is not generating a continous clock pulse at the counter 'n' OUT pin - I always get only a finite clock train and this is regardless of whether the gate of the counter 'n' is tied to high/ low/ OUT of previous counter.
    why does this happen ?
    thank you
    Lalitha.

  • Blu-ray menu stutters

I'm working on this Blu-ray project that requires a 30 second looping menu with background video and four buttons on top. The background video is 1920 x 1080 @ 23.976 and the buttons have no motion; just a 30% transparent red box overlay when selected. It plays back fine when I preview inside of Encore CS5 and CS4 but when rendered out and burned to a blu-ray disc it stutters like it's playing back at 12fps or lower (tested on three different brands of players also).
I've tried multiple ways of encoding the background video (all at MPEG-2):
    1. through Compressor (dpx sequence to image sequence import) at high (40 max) and low (20 max) mbps,
    2. dpx sequence to ProRes 422HQ QT and then to MPEG-2 using Compressor at high and low mbps.,
    3. ProRes 422HQ QT to Encore for transcoding at max and high default settings.
All of these options work for a video playing in a single track non-menu Blu-ray so I know it's not my encode settings. I've been using them for a while and I've never had a problem until I needed to author a menu controlled disc. All of these different encodes give me the same result which points to Encore and it's buggy ways. I've read that creating a disk image or video folder will help but I've tried both and have also tried both using different burning software (Toast 9 and Blustreak Burner and even Encore).
If anybody has any theories or methods that will help, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Okay, here's what I've discovered...
Creating a Blu-ray folder or disc image out of CS4 allows the 1080p menu to playback correctly (smooth, correct frame rate).  Use the same project file in CS5 - the menu plays back at the wrong frame rate.  I've also re-created the project in CS5 (which fails) and then I built the image or folder using CS4 and everything worked fine.  Nothing was wrong with the video itself or any player I tested with.  Now I just have to figure out how to get the loop point to not lock up my background for 2 seconds while the buttons load.  With my luck, that is probably fixed in CS5 and then I'm back to square one.  This needs to be fixed now.

  • HVX200 footage color shift

I have a finished project in FCP 5.0.4.
It was originally mxf masters from P2 cards from an HVX200
It looks awesome. It's running at 23.98 in a native sequence of 980x720.
Now that I am done editing, I want to post the finished quickime on the web.
Everytime I encode in compressor, or FCP, the great colors all die and the thing looks like crap. The contrast dies too.
I'l tried pre processing some gamma shifts the opposite way, to try and over compensate.
Nothing has worked and I love how the original footage looks, but as soon as I make the thing into a broadband high web movie, it looks really bad.
    please help!!!!

I have had so much luck in the past using the 'broadband-high' default settings from FCP. I have been working a lot with 720x486 10 bit uncompressed files that I then compress and down-res using the default 'broadband-high.' And with this setup, the colors stay exactly the same and I can barely see any compression artifacts. Now that I am in HD, first of all I have to use a custom pixel dimension, I am trying half at 640x360, but keeping all the other settings from 'broadband-high' the same. I am making an .mov file.
I color corrected the whole project to be slightly washed out, I took the black levels in FCP and made them blue, I was trying to simulate an old polaroid feel. But in the .mov file conversion process, things get even more washed out and the chroma and contrast go off even more than I wanted.
I read somewhere about the HD color space versus SD color space, is something happening there? I did output a movie that was a native(same compression as the footage) 720p24 file at 1280x720 and not 960x720. And it looks perfect, but I can't really post that on the web.

  • *Shocked* by the performance of Canon DPP, and DDP workflow with Aperture

I love Aperture. My brother mercilessly hounded me for two years, and when Aperture 2 came out, I gave it a shot. Aperture 3, despite my nightmare conversion story, has been a dream come true . . . until I discovered sharpening.
In my quest to get sharper photos, I've toyed with image stabilization, tripods, higher shutter speeds, steadying the camera, and depth of field, and even bought several professional lenses. My photos STILL did not look as sharp as those I saw in galleries and online. But wait . . . my JPEG files from my sporting events did . . .
I read that RAW files are not sharp, and sharpening is applied to JPEGs on the camera. But why is Aperture and my MBP not able to sharpen photos well using any one of the three sharpening sliders or the sharpening tool? I was then led to DPP, kicking and screaming. What I discovered was truly amazing.
Forget about the personal opinions with warmth and contrast between Aperture, ACR, and DPP. DPP is the unquestioned leader in producing sharp photos from RAW images. You drag the slider . . . it's sharp. It's even sharper than the photos I've spent 20 minutes sharpening in CS5 with sharpening masks, sharpening tool, etc. The DPP tool JUST WORKS. Even noise with high ISO is MUCH improved. High noise still can use an expensive tool to correct, but still MUCH better than Aperture.
Until Canon reveals their secrets to Apple and Adobe for RAW processing, I need to figure out a way to use DPP for RAW processing.
For those that use DPP for RAW processing, how to you work it into your workflow? I want Aperture to be a one-stop shop, but I don't want to store the original RAW, the DPP-edited RAW, and potentially a TIFF for additional editing and noise reduction?
Do you sort in Aperture first? Do you convert in DPP first? How do you maintain file integrity, and at the same time, minimize disk space usage?
If you no longer use DDP, please tell me why, and how you've worked around it?

All I can say is, either I've been in the weeds all this time, or your skills with sharpening are better than most.
    A couple of questions:
1-What do you use under Sharpening for and Edges under "RAW fine tuning" you thankfully shared your settings for Edge Sharpen (^s)
2-What camera and RAW format are you using (this may help me fine-tune my preferences). I've got a 7D and primarily shoot MRAW. (Not the best for a couple reasons, but I don't need or want the large file sizes.)
To be sure, default sharpening in Aperture is pretty bad. And I have played with sharpening going on 40 hours now over several months. I could not get a good result.
Your documenting the exact settings and sharpening tool is what helped me get past whatever I was doing before. Maybe I was thrown by the higher default contrast in DPP. I'm now able to produce a better result in Aperture than DPP, or even my laboriously-sharpened photos on Photoshop. There are some tradeoffs in each, but I didn't want to use DDP as part of my workflow. Now that I've used it more, I'm convinced I don't!
And the definition setting is very useful. It's the only mainstream adjustment I've never really used.

  • Cannot copy or move folders to Public Folder

Both admins and users are unable to copy or move folders with and without content to the public folders. When trying to copy or move a folder to the root or existing subfolders in the public folders i get this error message:
I can however create folders manually, and then copy and move content as i please.
Admins are owners from top of root, users are Publishing Authors.
I though it could be quota issues, and have set a high default quota with powershell. Upon checking in powershell, the quotas are set, but in EAC the new default limits are not showing (alhtough not nearly showing full) and do not get updated either.
    Currently running Exchange 2013 CU6 on a 2012 R2 server.

    Hi,
Based on your description, some admins and users can't copy or move public folders.
Please check the permissions assigned to these affected users and compare with your permissions on public folders.
If possible, please add the Owner permissions directly to a specific public folder to check if they can copy or move public folders.
And please check if this issue affects all public folders or onle some of them.
Here is a related thread which may help you for your reference.
