High-Low Alarm on KT4V

Just got a KT4V motherboard, with Athlon XP2100, 256MB PC2700 SDRAM.
Everything runs fine for an hour or so, and then the PC abruptly turns off accompanied by a high/ low alarm sound which continues until I unplug from mains and restart.
I am assuming this is a high temp shut down, but can find no mention of it in the manual/ website to confirm this, and the temp monitor is reporting only 40 degrees.
Any one got any suggestions?

Thanks for your thoughts.
I checked the cooler, which was located correctly (hopefully gone passed that level of mistake now), but noticed, as I picked up the PC to have a look, it truned off again with the alarm going.
Rebooted, tapped the PC on the top, alarm goes of. Does the motherboard have a state of the art anti theft movement sensor built into it? I was beginning to think to myself.
So, rebuilt PC thinking stay screw got under the motherboard causing it to short or that sort of thing, but same problems afterwards, so I replaced the power supply and now everything is working OK.
Stange thing is though, the power supply works fine in another PC with similar spec (but non-MSI) motherboard, no mattger how hard you bang it!
Thanks for help anyway.

I'm beginning to really agree with you about this board. I realise I'm no expert as gaming stuff, but i've working in IT for over 10 years and dealt with a lot of stuff and this really had been one of the worse experience from start to finish that i've had.
Jeez I don't know why you guys bought the board in the first place.. maybe cuz its the cheapest 975x board out???Of course don't expect as much as Asus Deluxe Home!

Coupled with the fact my RAID controller has never worked, niggles like the 'floppy drive error' (which you have to override in the BIOS)
Sure it's going to complain if a floppy drive is enabled in the bios but not connected? Makes sense, what's the big deal?

At least you go your board OCing a bit ... despite having OCZ 800mhz memory 5-5-5-12 / 2.0v ... these settings just cause the BIOS to not restart ... I can't get 800mhz.
Try using different a BIOS and setting your memory timings manually. I've found my system works best with the older BIOS. Yours may be the same?? Using WinFlash its really easy to change the BIOS. Give it a try, experiment
    Sorry haven't tried RAID.
And FrobinRobin, set your CPU voltage to 1.58V, mem to 5-5-5-15 2.2V, PCI-E voltage to 1.7V and then see if you can get over 400FSB. If all is well then tighten your settings. First you may want to boot to windows at 380FSB then use ClockGen to increment the FSB from within windows.

    Hi,
I am facing a strange problem in one of my Cisco Catalyst 4900M switch. We have a ten gig WAN link which went down (error-disabled) couple of weeks back with logs suggesting Low TX power.
Tried followingtroubleshooting approach, but it did not resolve the problem.
    SFP replaced
Tried connecting the link on a different port.
Fibers tested and found to be OK
Performed loop test and was able to see the loop on both end of the P2P link.
Replaced the Cables between PTT demarcation till switch patch panel.

  • Down payment amount cannot be higher/lower than the preset value Error

Hello.  Can anyone help me with this error.  When creating a down payment request from a sales order with a billing plan, I get the message 'Down payment amount cannot be higher/lower than the preset value' and the document isn't released to accounting.  When creating the sales order, I included a condition type that I created.  The billing plan then calculates the down payment request value with the total sum i.e net value plus condition value.  Upon creating the down payment request in VF01, I get this message.  I did a test and noticed that, if the condition is not included in the sales order, the down payment request is created without errors.  How do I correct this?  Thanks for you anticipated response.

    Hi
As you are getting error, 'Down payment amount cannot be higher/lower than the preset value' ,please check the total value of the document. So in the sales document ,billing plan check what is the invoice value for the first billing date , also check what is the sales order value.Secondly what is the condition type that has been created and for what purpose it is being used.

  • K8D Master-F High/Low beep tones

    Hello,
Running the system even on bare minimum (PSU, memory and CPUs only)  the board will not post and will only return a constant high then low tone beep code.  Information from AMIBIOS suggests faulty CPUs, but this is doubtful that both CPUs would be damaged (I've tried one at a time, and in different sockets), as their serial numbers are quite a distance apart.
Anything else I can try? or do I have a dead board?
    Thanks in advance,

Couldn't tell you if its registered DDR, ram isnt the problem though, it would give a ram error beep code running with no ram onboard, yet it still has the high/low beeptones.

  • Expressions and Defining High/Low Limits

I have an accuracy requirement to assign a 1.5% and a 1% High/Low  from a previous test.  The previous test is a Numeric Array where the first 12 values have to be assigned a 1.5% limit and the remaining 4 have a 1% limit.
Is there a way to do two while loops on the same step or do I have to break out each element in the array and define its own Parameter.
So basically I have something like this so far:
    First test with post expression:
    Parameters.Test = Step.NumericArray
Then I have an expression step with the loop options going 1-16 with this...
    RunState.NextStep.Result.Measurement[ RunState.LoopIndex ].Limits.Low = (Parameters.Test[ RunState.LoopIndex ] * 0.985),
    RunState.NextStep.Result.Measurement[ RunState.LoopIndex ].Limits.High = (Parameter.Test RunState.LoopIndex ] * 1.015)
But as you see that will add a 1.5% to all of them...Do I have to break out each element in the array individually?? Or is there a way to modify that expression to make the last 4 values of my array multiply by .99 and 1.01?
    Thanks

I got it.. I didn't know I could define paramters for any given step in a sequence, only thought Step, previous step, and next step...

  • How to display and print CCR showing not only results, high, low or normal, but also normal ranges of tests.

How do I display and print CCR showing not only my actual results, high, low or normal results, but also normal ranges of each test?  I can do this individually but not for the composite CCR.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I'm not exactly clear on what you are doing. I can tell you that the ranges and flags for high, low, and normal come from the lab results provider in the lab results they sent you, not from HealthVault. If you go back to the original document that came from
the laboratory, you should be able to open it as a document and print it.
I hope this helps. If not, please respond with more details, or if you'd prefer a private conversation, please contact HealthVault customer support by opening a support ticket with them.
    Thanks,

  • Live A/V Broadcast How to support both High & Low bandwidth users ?

    Hello there
I have been working on a requirement where I need to
broadcast live audio and video feeds
to Flash Media Server from where it gets broadcasted to our
customers. We have two types of
customers: High bandwidth and Low bandwidth.
Now could anyone please tell me what kind of scripting is
required at the server end so that
the Media server broadcasts to these two level of user groups
at same time. How do we control
the live feeds received at the Media server ? How do I
control the amount of bandwidth that at server
side based on the received feed so that I can broadcast to my
users based on their capacity ?
I tried running two separate flash application pulling the
feeds from SAME camera but that didn't
work as changing the settings (like Camera.setMode..) on one
program affects the settings on other
program(as both programs are connected to same camera/mic). I
do not want to buy two separate
cameras/mic to support both high/low bandwidth users. I would
    need to do it programatically.
Could anyone please let me know your thoughts, it would be
very helpful to me and others.
    Many thanks,
    -Sakthik

Thanks Charles for your reply. I didn't know that FMS doesn't
support this feature. So you mean to say that there aren't any
other ways to control live feeds at server side ?
I would try your suggestion on setting the bandwidth and FPS
at client side but I am not sure how effective will it be because
the Server is going to push a high bandwidh data to a 56 Kbps
pipeline. There will be lot of data loss due to this narrow
pipeline. Do you think that applying setBandwidth and setFPS on
this narrowed data is going to be effective ? I dont think so, what
    do you say ?
How exactly does this setBandwidth and setFPS works ? When
will it modify the data ? Will it modify the data after or before
receiving it at the client end ?
Please share your thoughts on this.
    Many thanks,
    -Sakthik

  • Strange high low frequencyy sound in solaris 11 usb live

    Hi,
When I boot Solaris 11 (fresh usb image from oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/solaris11/downloads/index.html Download LiveUSB (985 MB) ) and just after screen where I can choose keyboard strange high frequency sound starts to increase and decrease. I searched on internet and the problem is mostly about fan (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282076-10-high-pitch-noise) and CPU.
The problem is that laptop (http://www.dell.com/hr/p/inspiron-15r-n5110/pd) is working just fine on windows and ubuntu (not so much heating and that sound) . So does anybody knows whats the problem because this is something new in my computer xp and I would like to know what component can actually reproduce that strange high low frequencyy sound

The easiest solution is the best in most cases

  • Excel Chart High-Low Lines Not Rendering when Chart Object Contains No NumCache and StringCache

I have a number of Excel xlsx files which contain a Chart object configured with High-low Lines.  The High-Low Lines render without issue when the Number Cache & String Cache exist in the file.  A process updating the files removes the Number
Cache and String Cache from the Chart Object.  After this process has updated the files Excel no longer observes the High-Low Line configuration.  I have verified that the files still contain the setting for the Chart to have High-Low Lines (<c:hiLowLines
/>).  Excel does not recognize that the setting is set (not rendered when viewed or preserved in the file settings after saving in Excel). Excel does not present any errors and everything else works fine.
    Reproduction of Issue:
    1. Create an Excel Document containing a Chart Object with High-Low Lines enabled.
    2. Manually edit the chart1.xml file (in the xlsx file), removing all the Number Cache and String Cache entries from the document (<c:numCache/>, <c:strCache/>).
    3. Open the Document in Excel and view the Chart.  It will not draw the High-Low Lines and if saved the file will no-longer contain the hiLowLines setting.
The issue has been confirmed in Excel 2010 and Excel 2013.

The issue has been tested on different computers, 11 in total.  The OS ranges from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1.
I have not tried in other file formats.  Due to the requirements of the project I'm restricted to xlsx.
The application interacting with the files is proprietary.
I've simulated the issue by removing the Number Cache & String Cache manually from the Chart1.xml file.  This causes the issue to occur.  I will note that if i only remove one of the cache entries from the file the High-Low lines will be observed
in Excel.  It seems to only happen if all of the cache entries are removed.  The file is never interpreted by Excel as corrupt under any of the modifications.
The issue seems like Excel fails to evaluate the High-Low Lines property when the cache is completely removed.  I'm not sure what Excel is doing to negate the property under the condition of no cache.  After the files is opened with Excel and saved
the High-Low Lines property no-longer exists in the file.

In my situation, the screen simply started exhibiting the same symptoms a few weeks ago (early February) for no apparent reason.  At first I thought the screen was dead, but discovered the heat solution by accident.  Now I turn it on and keep it from going to sleep until I go to bed.  Thank goodness the battery is still awesome on this thing.
I bought it new and still has the original screen, I keep it at home (never below 62 degrees).  Coincidentally, this happened a day or two after the expiration of the warranty!!  Any help figuring this one out would be eternally appreciated.

    Gents,
Looks like something is amuck as I just received a new 4507 as well and I am getting similar messages. Anyone have an idea as to what is going on?  I too have not connected anything to this yet, just doing a burn in. I am installing into a cancer center and need to have this ready by the first.
    regards,
    Stephen

  • ONS15310 "MEM-LOW" alarm ?

    Hi all,
Does anyone know the root cause of "MEM-LOW" alarm on ONS15310? Since we upgraded CTM to release7.2 and remained ONS15310 on release6.0, the "MEM-LOW" alarm started reporting. Just a guess if it might be a version inconsistency issue.

Strange,it can be found in my Z1 and I am sure in most of Xperias. In this case, boot in safe mode and check if the same occurs:
