high process while running itunes on win7 64bit in my laptop and also i have backup problems what should i do i see a lots of user on win have same problems as me
i have removed it and reinstall it for 20 times but it dose not  work

Windows 7 Home Premium user here, 32-bit as well. It really doesn't appear to matter what is open for me; as long as I've focused on some other window other than iTunes, it will inextricably start skipping almost exactly like a badly scratched CD. This is absolutely unacceptable, because this simply never happened before with any previous version of iTunes. It's simply gotten to the point where there are too many users experiencing the same issue. There are already many forum posts about this problem all over the net too, and Apple techs really haven't even responded about this at all? or are they assuming everyone's going to be more focused on listening to music on their brand new iDevices instead?
Really, everything is about quality control, right down to the software, and that absolutely should have included iTunes 10.7, but obviously that wasn't the case for my fellow windows users.

  • ITunes crashing saying "iTunes has stopped working while running iTunes Match

My iTunes is crashing while running iTunes Match saying iTunes has stopped working - I think it may be because at the 25000 song limit but I get no message or warning - just crashes. Would like to keep songs in library while deleted from cloud - can you do that?

    Hi,
Yes but you need to create a new blank library.
Hold down option key whilst opening iTunes. Chose new library from pop up. This library will be blank. Turn on match and select add this computer. Once process has been completed you will see all the tracks that you have in the cloud.
Make sure that you add iCloud status to song view as this tells you what has been matched, uploaded or purchased. You can then delete matched and uploaded tracks. You will get message that you are deleting tracks from the cloud. Don't worry about purchased tracks as they don't count towards limit.
Close iTunes and reopen the original library - again hold option key and  select choose library. With iCloud status column added to song view, you will now see that tracks that you deleted from the cloud will have an iCloud status of "Removed".  They are still on your hard drive and will be ignored during the match scan.

  • Win 32 appilication error while running Itunes 7 setup

Does any one have a solution to the error "Itunessetup.exe is not a valid Win32 Application" while running the new Itunes setup.

    Finally an asnwer from Apple:
    Dear Stefanie,
I understand that you're receiving an error when trying to open the iTunes
installer that you downloaded. I'd like to try to help you resolve this issue.
It appears that your web browser may be truncating your download of the iTunes
software. I urge you to try using a different web browser to download iTunes. If
this is not possible, you can also try using a different computer to download
iTunes, and then transfer the iTunes installer file (iTunesSetup.exe) to your
original computer and open it from there.
Some transfer options would include using your iPod to transfer the file via
hard disk mode, using a local network, burning a CD, using an external hard disk
or a USB drive, or even sending the file to yourself via email or over an
    instant messaging network.
I hope this information helps to resolve your iTunes installation issue. If it
does not and you still need assistance from Apple, you will need to call Apple
technical support (there may be a fee associated with the call). To find the
    appropriate phone number, please visit:

  • Why i can't setup itune on win7(64bit) ?

I can't setup the itune on the win7(64bit),
it always show that i need to uninstall and use the i tunes for 64bits when i connet the i phone with my PC
i have check  that  the version is itune64bits version for sure,
plz help me to solve the problem, thx!

Uninstall iTunes and all of its components by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923.  You must follow this guide exactly or it will not be successful. (Uninstalling iTunes only removes the application; it won't trouch your iTunes library or data.) Then reinstall the latest version of 64-bit iTunes.

  • Can't access itunes store with itunes 10/Win7 64bit. Please help.

When I attempt to access the itunes store from iTunes 10.4.1.10 (64-bit) the "one moment please. Connecting to the Itunes store..." dialog box seems to sit there forever before coming back with the following error message “We could not complete your ITunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-50). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.” I’ve tried many times and have also tried uninstalling all Apple software and reinstalling. I've also tried using a differnet windows user logon. I’m running win7 (64 bit). I’ve used WMP in the past and would really like to try iTunes. Any help would be appreciated.

While I don't know for sure, my guess is there is a version of iTunes that you computer CAN use and will work with iTunes.
you may try to manually download the latest version of iTunes 8, or an early version of iTunes 9.  Should be on Apple's site somewhere.

  • Unresponsive processes while running backup on external USB 3.0 disk

On my home server "rsnapshot" backups are triggered via crond. Backups are copied to a "Western Digital My Book Essential USB3.0". This sometimes result in a problem. Symptoms are never-ending processes (in this case: rsnapshot), running with high CPU load. Sometimes those processes consume so much CPU that it's hardly possible to control the system (even login does take minutes to finish). When trying to kill those processes they do not react neither on a kill nor on a kill -9. Unmounting the device was not possible. When manually pulling the USB cable (yes I know, I should not do that) a kernel trace was dumped into dmesg/journal (see below).
    http://codepad.org/GE2rn89E
    My question:
Does this look like a kernel/driver bug or more like a faulty drive?
Do the stack traces occur from unplugging the cable before unmounting? I tried this on another machine and there was no such stack trace.
Where do all those "rcu_preempt" events come from? They start appearing right after the 04:00:00 hourly backup (or in between). Can there be a relation? I only find IPv6 related stuff when searching for "rcu_preempt" issues.

  • Ipod Classic (160GB) not recognized by iTunes on Win7 64bit

when I connect the iPod classic to my PC (64 bit Win7), I receive a driver software installation error message. Apple Mobile Device USB Driver indicates FAILED. Device Manager shows the "Apple MObile Device USB Driver" within the USB controller section with a "yield" symbol, which of course indicates a driver problem. I have followed the online troubleshooting steps, including trying other USB ports and even re-installing iTunes. The same error message however appears.  It was not that long ago that all was working just fine on this system. What next ?

Hey I'm not any way a representative of Apple or Microsoft but I'll see if I can help (and any advice I give may or may not work):
I think the problem with USB drivers is that they partially install then get messed up. Occasionally that leaves your USB drivers messed up but Windows thinking it's ok.
The way I'd go about this kind of problem is to uninstall the USB drivers as though they never existed using third party software such as USBDeview.
You can download the 64 bit version here: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usbdeview-x64.zip
More info (if you want to find out how it works): http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html
Using USBDeview, you may want to uninstall any drivers that are causing the issue. Make sure you uninstall the correct drivers that you recognise (from the description).

  • Why is my external hard drive running continuously while running iTunes?

Ever since the latest iTunes update, my 1TB external hard drive (which holds all of my iTunes music and apps, etc.) is constantly running. It used to cycle down after I stopped playing music or a movie or updated my apps, but now it is constantly running. I have to quit iTunes or sometimes shut my whole computer down in order for my hard drive to stop running continuously becasue I don't want it to burn out.

I found out that although my external drive could be read by my Mac, it was not formatted for the Mac journaling. I transferred all of my files from the 1 TB hard drive over to another drive, reformatted it as Mac Journaled, transferred all of the files back onto that drive and now it does not run continuously. I think the Mac was trying to journal the files, but couldn't do it. It now runs great.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up +en passant.+
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. Do they fail to install? If so, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you?
If the Windows Update errors are also 80070002s, then try the following Microsoft document:
    [Windows Update error 80070002|http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Windows-Update-error-80070 002]
If that gets your Windows Updates installing again, stock up on any you're behind on. Then try another iTunes install Does it go through properly this time?

  • I get r6034 when I try to install/repair/deinstall iTunes on Win7 64bit.

    Win 7 - 64bit - I get
    "Runtime Error
    Program C:\...\iTunes.exe
    R6034
An application has made an attempt load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the applications support team for more information."
I receive this error message multiple times when trying to de-install/repair/install iTunes.
I did have "read only" attribute set on iTunes files. I removed that attribute.
Problem started (as far as I know!) when attempting to upgrade version. Since I can no longer start
iTunes (see error above), I am not sure what version I have, but have used program occasionally prior to problem.

    Hi,
I also get the following message:
"Could not read ProductKey entry from the cache file"
I have no idea how to provide the installation software with the key. I also tried "keycheck.exe"
Do you have a solution for this problem? Did you finish the installation?

  • Installing itunes on WIN7 64bit

i tried installing itunes 64 on windows 7 64 bit - but the installation won't start, it does nothing, what do i need to do ?

Usually antivirus is the cause. Try to start AMDS manually see what it does, if effect is the same, I would switch antivirus.
Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Click the Windows Start button .
In the Start Search field type Services.
In the Programs section of the search results, Click "Services".
Select Apple Mobile Device and click Stop the service
After the service has stopped, click Start the service.
After the Apple Mobile Device service has started again, open iTunes and connect the device.

Specs are well within needs to playback 1080p content. Content works just fine in VLC and other media players. This appears to be an iTunes-specific issue. Other discussions have suggested Wifi Sync to cause the problem. I have no such devices. I have also set my sound card bitrate to the default settings as well. My video card drivers are up to date, and iTunes is up to date as well. Again, the content plays fine in any other application.
