Highest supported Brocade DCX firmware version to be interoperable with Cisco Nexus 5020

A Cisco Nexus 5020 (FCoE) switch is connected to Brocade DCX-B switch.
5020 is at latest firmware level of 5.0.2.N2.1
Brocade is at firmware level of 6.2.1b
If we need to upgrade brocade firmware, what is the maximum revision we can go to? Is there some documentation available for interoperability between the code levels of the two hardwares?

Hi Anwarul,
Please refer to "Table 7-10     Nexus InterOp Matrix" near the end of this link:

    Hi everyone,
    I have the following issue:
the E6 tells me firmware version is 021.014, and Nokia Suite (the latest...well I hope ;-)) tells me it's up to date.
the Nokia website tells me that the latest firmware version is 022.014 and that I should use Nokia Suite to update the firmware if I wished to do so...
Looks like I'm running in circles... who's right?
Thanks for any light that can be shed on this :-)

In my case I have 025 and 022 is visable as the latest firmware...Nokia could do better in this area regarding correct information. . Anyhow, soon you will get Belle...just log in every day on your nokia suite and be patient.

I've updated my WRT54G V7 with this firmware and many things are indeed fixed. The range of the wireless signal increased drasticly (from very low to very good). Since the upgrade I haven't need to reboot the router. I hope this will keep working and keep my fingers crossed...

  • ARBS: how do I determine firmware version?

I have an AEBS with software version 5.6. How do I identify what firmware it is using? I am curious as to whether it is up to date and also curious as to what the most current firmware version is.

5.6 is the most recent firmware version - it was supplied with the Airport 4.2 update.
The firmware version your Base Station is running is reported by the Airport Admin Utility. From the View menu select Summary.

  • This version of AirPort Utility requires this AirPort Extreme use firmware version 7.3.1 or later. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information.

I am trying to update my Airport Extreme. I go into the Airport Utility and this is the message attached I get when clicking on it.
"This version of AirPort Utility requires this AirPort Extreme use firmware version 7.3.1 or later. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information." That;s it.
I guess I can hard reset it, but this seems weird. Any advice would be nice.
    Thank you.

Dear Bob, I have same problem:
"This version of AirPort Utility requires this AirPort Extreme use firmware version 7.3.1 or later. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information."
My MBAir is running OSX 10.9.3 and the AIrPort Extreme I'm trying to use is A1143.
    Thanks

  • Is the new Firmware version of 5800 supports VoIP?

I want just want to ask for those whoe already updated their 5800 to version 40 firmware if their phone already supports VoIP. I've read on some forums that Nokia 5800 doesn't support VoIP. Is the new update already have like the VoIP support of N97?

No, it's voip capabilities are exactly the same as previous firmware versions so it still does not support true native voip like the N97 does.
The 5800 is highly unlikely to ever receive this feature.  As before you will need to use a program such as fring or nimbuzz for voip on the 5800.

  • Problem with restore.I have a 2 gen running firmware version 4.2.1

    Hello there !
Hopefully some smart persons here will be able to help me. First it has been awhile since i used my itune store because i didnt needed to and did a format of my computer after the last time i used it..so i had to upload my library etc and start from scratch. I downloaded a couple new games, everything was working fine..then when it came the time to sync and put these games on my ipod touch 2 gen the installation failed. I retried again and it keeps failing again and again so i choose to do a restore on it and expecting the problems would be solved. Problem wasnt not solved at all and it said an error (6) occured and i have the image on my ipod of the white cord trying to connect to itune store.
Restore doesnt work at all and it seems like my ipod is totally useless as i cant use it anymore. I did the diagnostic..it said no ipod were found. I also did the check up thing for the technician so ill paste it here maybe it will give some clues..
I have this error now as well... No iPod, iPhone, or iPad found. It also said secure link to itune store failed..not sure if these are all related to the same problems or all different at all..im clueless and need a generous soul to help me out.

@Edit : Even with my other 2gen ipod i cant install these new games,it keeps failing as well..but at leasnt i havent done Restore on it yet and i fear to do it for reason you guys can guess.

  • How do you upload firmware to Airport extreme with the following message: This version of AirPort Utility requires this AirPort Extreme use firmware version 7.3.1 or later. Use AirPort Utility 5.6 to update this base station. I'm using airport utility 6.0

The airport extreme at my parent's house has not had its firmware update in some time and it keeps dropping the internet connection and needing to be reset.
I went to update firmware and opened up airport utilities (I'm running airport 6.0 on Mountain Lion, 10.7.4).  Everytime I open the airport utility I get the following message: "
This version of AirPort Utility requires this AirPort Extreme use firmware version 7.3.1 or later. Use AirPort Utility 5.6 to update this base station. AirPort Utility 5.6 is available at AirPort Service and Support.
I've followed the link and tried to update firmwares but none are available and the print says that airport utility will look to see if firmware are available and load them as necessary when prompted by user.
One link said the only way to solve this problem is open up Airport Utility 5.6. I tried to do this, but 5.6 is not supported on Mountain Lion and couldn't be opened up.
I'm getting the exact same message on my other computer, a Mac Air.
So basically, can't download new firmware and am stuck with a ****** airport extreme that needs to keep being reset, a factory reset, in order to use the internet, but then continues to give me the same message.
    Thanks!

    Hello pcyservice
There is NOT a way to downgrade/roll-back/revert to a previous firmware without wiping all data.  This is specifically mentioned on the firmware update page:
    " CAUTION!
This update is not data destructive, however, ALWAYS back up your data before performing any firmware update!
Once you have updated the firmware, you will NOT be able to revert to an older firmware version."
I recommend you disable any unnecessary features/protocols such as Media Server and Active Folders, then reboot the unit.
If you are still experiencing performance issues, please contact LenovoEMC support to troubleshoot further.

  • Firmware upgrade failed, printer now say i has firmware version 0. attention light lights up

    Hey all
I had a problem printing a pdf on my mac, and then tried to upgrade my mac driver and printer firmware.
But the firmware upgrade failed for some unknown reason. And now the printer just have the ready and attentions lights on constantly.
I have tried to restart and reset the printer many times, and tried the HP firmware upgrade utility several times, with no luck. It just say it was "failed to upgrade"
Any idea what to do ??
My printer is a HP Laserjet Pro CP1025nw
    Thanks
    Jan

    Hello Jan
It definitely sounds like the firmware update failed. Firmware is like a devices Operating System. Without it, it can't do much. This is backed by the "failed" message and that your printer reports it has version 0.
The printer will need to be serviced. Please call HP Phone Support at 1-800-474-6836.
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" to those that help solve your problems.

  • N73 with Navicore needs firmware version 2.0628.0....

Hi folks, I have N73 with v0.0.1 firmware but have been told by Navicore that I need 0.0.3 to run their Personal Europe 2006/1 software. Problem is if you go the Nokia site there is no Firmware upgrade for the N73 handset. Anyone got any idea how to get N73 firmware version 2.0628.0.0.3 or later. Thanks in hope

Well, I took my N73 to the Nokia repair centre and the chap checked my actual phone details against Nokia's internal website and guess what - the model of N73 I have only supports the version of firmware that is currently on it (version 2.0628.0.0.1).
He also explianed there are many different versions of the N73 handset and many different levels of firmware for each version. He kindly re-loaded 2.0628.0.0.1 just to make sure that there were no corruptions. The bluetooth still drops out so:
I have now sent the navicore software back to Mobilefun (who have been excellent) and am contemplating what to do with the Nokia N73 - frisby comes to mind.
I wish Nokia would get there act together BEFORE selling phones rather than using us (mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed) to Beta test their code after - and still no comments back from Nokia on this forum.

  • Nokia Series 40  & iSync 2.2: Minimum firmware version.

Been reading the testimonials about the long overdue series 40 support for iSync. Seems like there are some f/w requirements and I just want to get a quick log of the s40 users' f/w versions, and whether they were able to sync or not.
I have a 6230 (fw v3.15) and a 8801 (v3.78). Looks like I might be forced to u/g the 6230, but wondering whether the 8801 will be good. Anyhow, post freely.
    Thanks.

    12"PB   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I bought my Nokia 6230 in Hong Kong in February 2005 and used it while doing fieldwork in West Africa. At that time, my firmware was I believe 4.x (don't quote me on that though!). I discovered that there was a Bluetooth bug in that phone's firmware so transferring files over x amount of MB would hang the phone. When I returned to HK in November 2005, I went to one of the Nokia CareCentres and told them about the problem. The took my phone to upgrade the firmware for free and within an hour got it back. In HK, the Nokia policy is that if there is something wrong with the firmware, they'll upgrade your phone for free. So, you could try that tactic. Say that your old firmware has been having problems with the Bluetooth connection. If it's an old firmware, it's likely it has that problem.
According to PhoneDirector, this is what my phone's firmware currently is:
    Phone model: Nokia 6230
    Phone software revision: V 05.50
    Phone model code: RH-12
    Network: Cingular, U.S.A.
    Network code: 310 17
    Connection status: 6

  • WRT54GS V7 Firmware version?

Hi all! I've recently bought a WRT54GS V7 cable router/access point. Now, given the problems I've had with previous devices, I'd like to make sure that the firmware is completely up-to-date. However, when I go to the Linksys UK website, and find the product download page, I am asked which version of the device I have. I have version 7, but it is not in the list. Interestingly enough, when I clicked on version 6, and then looked at the firmware version details, it said something like "for version 5 only". My router seems to have version 7.50.0 firmware installed. Maybe this is the version which they all have, and there are not yet any updates available. Does anyone know? Thanks Michael

    vness wrote:
Change the default country to US.
Well, I thought I'd tried that already (although it makes no sense to me - I bought the item in the UK).
However, when I look carefully, I notice that my location is being changed back to 'UK' whenever I try to navigate to the 'Technical Support' page. So this time, I've cleared my cookies, it works, and I can find the file.
Someone from Linksys might want to get around to updating the UK page, and sort out the location changer so it actually does change when you tell it to. I'm sure that I'm not the only person in the country to have bought one.
Anyway, thanks for the help, and for the quick response!

Yes, I posted this same information in the Video Surveillance section a few weeks ago.  it was actually a Partner on the
community who found this and brought it to our attention and we fixed it.
Thanks for cross posting here, since you are right in it also effected this router.
And a big thank you for taking the time to collaborate some very useful information with the community.  I have noticed your recent posts and I think they are well writen, helpful, and well organized.   I also like your idea of turning some threads into solutions documents and resource labs perhaps.
If you would ever like to post something of that natire, you may also.  Just creat a document with your findings.

  • WRT120N working firmware version 1.04

try this version for firmware version WRT120N. 1.04 is working my laptop msi and desktop....
hope you can help on this....
    http://downloads.linksysbycisco.com/downloads/firmware/1224646102739/FW_WRT120N_1.0.04.002.bin

I have exactly the same setup and SD card as you, and I see 10MB/s pretty consistently. Maybe a little more. 12MB/s for short periods. I haven't used the SD card copy on firmware 1.04.06 yet though. I have always used firmware 1.03.13 up until now. Some time back someone who pulled their MPW apart concluded that the SD card reader is actually a USB 2 device, and is connected to the MPW main board using a USB 2 chip. If that is correct, and it seems likely, then I don't expect any significant speed increases above that. USB 2 should support 60MB/s, but in the real world it usually only supports a sustained speed of 20MB/s. Also, the MPW does some sort of validation of the copy, as we would want it to, which means it doesn't do a straight copy, but Reads-Writes-ReadsBack-Verifies. So a maximum speed of 10MB/s makes sense. What doesn't makes sense is creating a wireless plus USB3.0 hard drive for on the road backups, and using a USB 2 card reader and associated chip. It is a bit of a fail on WD's part.
