Highlighter now comes out dull
Since the update from Adobe Reader to Adobe Acrobat DC for Android, I have been unable to highlight in a similar brightness as before. So even though I select the same color and opacity as I did before the update, it still comes out dull - not much of a highlight.
Now I know the Adobe Reader app for Windows Phone has a more diverse set of colors to fix this, but I shouldn't have to go to another device to get a brighter highlight.
That isn't exactly what I'm talking about.
I'm not too sure how clearly you can see this, but both highlights are set at the same color slot on the app and the same level of opacity. The only difference is, the first highlight was preupdate and the second, post. The second, should, clearly appear more dull than the first.
It's just a little peevish as I'm studying.

OK - I think I got it. On the chessgames.com site you see stuff like this:
1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nc3 Bb4 4. a3 Bxc3 5. bxc3 c5
Instead of:
1. d4 Nf6
2. c4 e6
3. Nc3 Bb4
4. a3 Bxc3
5. bxc3 c5
But this formatting is not being created by your Mac, or any settings on the Mac. The chessgames.com site creators decided to use that formatting.

toner won't come out LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M425. It's stuck inside.
I am sure it is stuck on the right side. Odds are also that it is an aftermarket toner and not an hp original. That said it will not be easy to remove. You will have to do a google search for the service manual. The right side cover needs to come off and it is not easy since the back, top and control panel need to come off. Once you have the right side cover off you will see a big while gear behind the metal plate that holds the gear assembly to the right side. You need to turn that gear by hand a little and it should free up the toner to come out. When you remove the toner you will see a sort of bell housing metal piece that hangs on the right side of the toner. That assembly fits down the right side and locks into the mech that turns the toner drum. If that piece has defect it gets stuck. Good Luck. First thing I would try is to unplug the printer, then plug the printer back in and let it come to ready and open the door to see if the toner now comes out. Sometimes turning the printer off and then back on will turn that gear by itself and free that piece.

I have tried everything that I can think of. It was working fine until I installed a program which screwed up my mixer settings. I have loaded the default mixer settings. Now my rear speakers only work for wave devices, but not line-in.
Is there a way to make line-in come out both the front and rear speakers, or set the rear speakers to duplicate the front speakers (losing the surround feature)?
Failing that I will have to resort to plugging both sets of speakers into the one socket via an adapter - I don't wish to do this as I had this working for many months.
Please help.

Must've been some system files updated or something, because CMSS is still off according to PlayCenter. When I turn CMSS on, the line-in stops coming out rear, but turning it off makes it work!!!! So it's sorted, but still have no idea why it screwed up and why I needed PlayCenter installed to change the CMSS settings.

I am trying to update my itunes and iphone. Everytime I trie comes out a message about 'key access'. I've done all the steps from the support and nothing worked out. I cannot unistall and now I can't open it anymore also. What should i do, please?
Isn't that only used when a PC will not boot?
What options does booting with this give me?

Hi,
USB recovery disk was used to recover your system when it encounter problem. You can try to use it to fix your problem instead reinstall system. However, there is no method to keep your program whenreinstall system.

Great, now headphone jack no longer works, volume only comes out of speaker
This phone is so frustrating. This past weekend, the sleep/wake button wouldn't work for a whole afternoon but started working fine afterwards. All of a sudden this evening, I can no longer use any headphones to listen to my music. Regardless of what earphones I plug in, the sound only comes out of the speaker for some strange reason. Has anyone else had this problem? I just finished buying protective screens for the crazy thing and now this happens.
I had a problem like that. I fixed it by going to settings -> general -> reset -> reset all settings. If that does not work, then you may need to visit the Apple Store and talk to a genius. They will most likely replace your iPhone.

Force eject a stuck cd/dvd
First try the normal methods to remove the disc. Drag its icon to the Trash can in the Dock or select 'Eject' from the File menu.
If you are running a virtual machine, e.g. VMFusion, ensure that the CD is disconnected from the virtual machine. This will sometimes allow the CD to now show up in Mac OS X.
Shut down the computer and start up whilst holding down the mouse button. This may take some time, but keep your finger on the mouse button right up until the disc comes out or the log-in screen has appeared.
If you have Toast Titanium installed on your computer, choose EJECT DISC from the menubar.
Sometimes you can successfully use the eject disc button in iTunes even if the disc is not visible to the Finder
Open Disc utility and choose the disc you wish to eject in the left-hand pane, then click on the Eject button.
Some Macintoshes have a paperclip hole that you can insert a straightened paperclip into, manually triggering the eject mechanism.
Open Terminal and type "drutil tray eject" to eject the disc/tray, and "drutil tray close" to close the tray.
If your computer has an eject button on the keyboard, restart the computer holding down the Option key. When the startup disk selection screen appears, let go of the option key and press the keyboard's eject button.

As Guido said, you can use BootCamp to partition the drive. If you want to install, or reinstall Windows. You would launch BootCamp and it will actually guide you through the installation, you will only need to decide how large a partition you want. I would use BootCamp, I would not use disk utility. When you have installed Windows and you want to boot into windows, when you start your MBP hold down the option key, this will give you trha option of booting Mac OSX or Windows.

Hi. I'm using illustrator cs6 on pc. I've made a scientific figure for a paper and now I'm trying to export as a png or save for microsoft office. Despite my figure being in the middle of my artboard, it always comes out bottom left in the png file or jpg. Must be making a school boy error! Please help!
In similar cases, my solution is to "select all" then "deselect" only the artwork I want to keep and "delete". If I'm curious I may "cut" then "paste" to see what shows up in the center of the screen. it is usually some stray point. or other element out direct sight.

Running a presentation via VGA out with Firefox/Safari open. When I hit 'esc' to come out of slideshow, monitor stated resolution too low. Now Safari and Firefox browsers are still open, but I can't see the browser window on either. Ideas?
If you use Lion, go to Applications/ Mission Control and, if you have more Desktops, as attached, it means you have more, and you must select the one you need for a certain app. If default settings has not changed, this is Control with left / right arrow
If in Snow Leopard and earlier, you have these settings in System Preferences only. In Lion, you also have some settings in Sys Prefs.
