Highlighting Text Acting Like REDACTING Text

Dunno what's goin on. A Pro 9. Windows Home, ALL UPDATES.
I highlight text and instead of seeing the text highlited, the highligt COVERS the tex. It's YELLOW colored REDTACTION.
I've REPAIRED the app TWICE. I REBOOTED each time. That APPEARED to have corrected the problem. It DIDN'T because the REPAIR failed and the HIGHLIGHT BLOTTOED OUT the text. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I opened the last thing I was working on where the YELLOW HIGHLIGHT redacted the text and the text WAS VISIBLE while highlighted. THEN I opened another PDF file and same deal, the YELLOW highlighting REDACTED rather than HIGHLIGHTED.
Uh, is it a me thing? Is it a thing I can chek or uncheck in A Pro 9? Wassup with this weirdness?

CSS you feel
comfortable with, not the tool you are using. Should the
page/site be
rebuilt? I think so - at the least it should be taken apart
and
reassembled. Are the mistakes you made ones that you will

I think so.
I don't want to sound harsh or pessimistic, but I think
that's the bottom
line. I assume you are building the site for her so that she
wouldn't have
the expense of paying someone to do it, right? But wouldn't
you also want
her site to be the best it can be, and not to look/behave
like someone's
first site?
Now - if you want to bite the bullet and shove down some HTML
& CSS, and
muddle through, there is plenty of help here, but if you
aren't carrying
your load, people will tire of solving the problems you
encounter.

Getting Dynamic Text To Act Like Static Text

Hi, need help.
I currently have 7 text/symbols that each move to the right
when a button beneath expands in a mouseover.event.
Working fine.
With one exception: I need to set the text value of that text
dynamically using loadVars (the text is dates that vary).
No problem, I can do that with dynamic text, except for a few
somewhat ugly problems.
Problem 1 - I want the text just to display. The dynamic text
gets the I-Beam mouse cursor.
Problem 2 - Dynamic text lets the user select some or all of
the text, which then shows in highlighted color.
I don't want the user to have any interaction with the text,
and I'd like to have the "hand" mouse pointer over it, which
carries through from the button underneath, just like the static
text currently does.
I've tried the label component, but when you move it, it
evaluates the HTML that sets the color too slowly, so you only see
the start and end points. I've tried on (load) and on (draw), and
the text looks like it's taking a huge hop from starting point to
ending point, instead of moving gracefully across the real estate
(default is black, html makes it white).
Any idea how I can get text to move, to format, to get its
text at startup and still look like and act like it's the text on
top of a button?
I'd very much appreciate any help!

Problem 1 and 2: Set the textfields to not be selectable in
the Properties panel. If that's not a solution, say a little more
about how you have it pieced together.

Illustrator CS 6 won't paste into a text box/paragraph of text, instead pastes a new line of text in the upper left corner of my document. How can I get it to paste into the selected paragraph or highlighted text like normal?

I've done it a million times, I copy a selection of type...I select the type that I want to replace it with, and then I paste. Now, Illustrator will only paste the text as a "point text" (a single line) somewhere else on the artboard—it seems to always be the upper left corner of the art board.

In cases of sudden appearance of strangenesses, the list may be relevant, hopefully the easy part at the top.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

InDesign printing to PDF results in white "highlight" effect behind PLAIN black text.

InDesign printing to PDF booklet spreads results in white "highlight" effect behind PLAIN black text. There are no text effects like drop shadows or transparency. Some of the text is in it's own shape above a semi-transparent shape, but not all.
Exporting to PDF does not cause this problem, just printing to pdf. I cannot use the exported pdf as I need the full booklet spreads. Help!

In addition to vinny38's advise to not print to PDF, you may not even need printer's spreads, unless you are printing this yourself. If you are sending this off press, the prepress team will want to do the imposition themselves. If you are printing to a network copier, some have the ability to do booklet printing from a multi-page PDF saved in single-page reader's spreads (one page for each page of the document, rather than two document pages for each PDF page).
If you do need to print this yourself and if you have to impose it in InDesign, consider making a new document and placing the pages of your original document onto the pages of the new document, the way you would place any other images. You can decide where the pages have to go in order to get printer's spreads, and when you're done imposing, export as a PDF and print that PDF to your printer. You will get a better-quality PDF than printing to PDF.

How to create a text editor, the one like header text in PO

My requirement is that I want to create a text editor for storing terms and condition plant wise.
The editor should be the one like header text in PO. It can take end number of lines.
I created the text object ('TERMS') in table ttxob and text for it in table ttxot.
Also created text id ('L000' and 'L001') in table ttxid and text for it in table ttxit.
Now using FM read_text, save_text and edit_text, I have written a program but it does not save the data.
When I run the program initially it displays me blank, then I enter some data into it. Again when I come back it displays the data and also saves the edition. But if I close my session the data is gone.
It means it is not actually saving the data in database. My code is as below:

How to send a mail with rich text content like using outlook

Hi All. I have a serious problem. When we send the mail from
outlook express or yahoo, we can send the mail with the text appearing
in the mail with bold font , with different colors, underlined etc.
If i type this kind of text in any word processor and mail that content through java mail then the message should be received by the recepient with all that bold,color and underlines etc as it is. Can anybody please help me in this case ASAP.

Go to this site and download the htmlArea Javascripts. Embedd them in your HTML and it will turn your normal HTML Text Area into Rich Text Area. Your real code will include all HTML tags. For example if you select some text and make it bold , the real HTML output will look like YOUR TEXT . So i guess your recipient should be able to receive HTML contents.

My text flickers like mad on NTSC monitor

I burned a DVD and tested it on my computer LCD screen. It looks fine.
But when I tried it on an NTSC monitor, the intro text flickers like mad.
OK, the fonts are a bit small to squeeze everything on, but it should not flicker as much as it does.
My font face is plain Arial.
The rest of the DVD is OK.
(ps: I did the text in Motion, imported it into FCP and rendered it out ProRes422 HQ). As I say, it looks great on my computer monitor.

this could be your problem
the choice of the text has to be compatable with the rezolution of the CRT - thin horizontal strokes cant be resolved properly and results in flicker
a good rule is to size text so that 30 lines of text can be displayed in the screen hight- if it doesnt fit, throw out some of the text or put it on a separate screen

Sometimes when I click in text fields (like to fill out a captcha), I get a pop-up ad and Firefox immediately switches to it, leaving the tab blank.

My problem is pretty much this, if I can explain it well enough: when I click on certain text fields, like to input the answer to a captcha, for instance, I constantly get pop-up ads and Firefox will switch to the pop-up, leaving the entire page that I was on before blank as if I opened a new tab.
This started a while ago and I'd been trying to just deal with it, but it's really starting to drive me up the wall. Is there a fix to this? I'm sure it happened when I went to about:config to try and fix something about text auto-filling. I can't say whether I did that right or wrong, considering my text doesn't autofill anymore, but now I have this annoying problem.

Same problem, 3.6.8 and previous recent versions. I never thought to try another browser but I just pasted into IE and it worked fine. I copied from Firefox to IE and it worked as well. It's just when you paste into Firefox that you get the weird line breaks.

You can't convert an image into a text layer. What you can do is clip an image to a text layer so that just the image layer shows up where there is text. Create a text layer, then above it put your image layer. Hold down the alt/opt key and click between the two layers to clip them.

One option is to set a breakpoint at function module READ_TEXT while reading the text during the transaction. here you can get teh exact values that need to be passed.

You mean automatically? I'm not aware of any carrier that offers such a service.
You can manually forward a text message, however.
If you use iMessage, then any iMessages will be delivered to all devices that use the same Apple ID for iMessaging.
