Highlights the whole shuttle and starts scrolling down the shuttle

Hi,
I created a shuttle on a page and when I submit the page, which right now has no processes executing, automatically it highlights the whole shuttle and starts scrolling down the shuttle and then goes to a Page Not Found.
I have a branch to this same page.
What is going on.. ?

There is a limit of 2000 records (as far as my experience says). Over 1000 could also be over 2000.

Text Starts Scrolling down the page when i type

Im a law student and take an extensive amount of notes in class on my laptop. I tried switching from MS word to Pages, but intermittently run into problems that have caused me to stop using pages. Ill be typing, and all of the sudden my notes will start scrolling down the screen rapidly. ill look up a few pages and ill see it inserted a HUGE gap between the first word i typed and the second, usually about a page. My notes instantly turn from ~14 pages to~20+ every time i type an additional letter. I try closing the document, reopening it, no luck. I can then not use that file any longer, and start a new one. One the new one, same thing, after about 1-3 pages of typed notes, it starts scrolling down the page again. any ideas?? i really want to use pages, but can't until it stops this nonsense. thanks in advance

Is this a blank page on which this occurs, or has it been formatted with vertical numbering? I use Pages extensively and have never run into such a thing. It almost seems like a sticky 'return' key. If there is some other formatting, there may be an 'image wrap' occurring that would make it jump beyond the image to the next page.
It's a curious dilemma.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

System Preferences > Mouse -- deselect "Scroll direction: natural." Do the same for the trackpad > Scroll & Zoom preference.

I plugged my ipod touch into my laptop and started to down load an (1) upgrade. But Itunes says that the upgrade will take two hours. I started the down load and it started and stoped and eventualy never complerted the down load. How can I fix this ?

I plugged my Ipod touch into my Dell laptop and went to Itunes. Itunes told me I should down load an upgrade, so I did. Itunes said the down load would take two hours. I started the down load, but after two + hours (&longer) , after several starts and stops the down load never completed.
I recently got a (fake anti virus) virus and it damaged my computer. I got it fixed and reinstalled the software and it appears to be working correctly. Could this be the part of the problem ?
Would it help if I reloaded the Itunes (off an external HD) or downloaded it again from Itunes ?

I doubt it. For my updates, it has typically taken me many tries/retries. Like for you, the download would stop. and I would have to restart from the beginning. If you get a network timed out error try disabling the security software on your computer.

IPhoto library - Events - pics imported from camera, scanner and internet - it doesn't seem to matter - for a while they show OK but then when I go into the event and start scrolling some--but not all--pics disappear w/ ? small and expanded.

iPhoto Library - events - pics imported to library from camera, scanner and internet. Some disappear--sometimes when scrolling and other times on their own. Some disappear when in general event and some when I try to expand the picture. If when expanding the small pic remains. It's really annoying.

Are you running a "referenced" or "managed" library?
Give this a try:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.>Click on the Add Library button,
2 - select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
3 - make sure that in the rebuild window the checkbox "Scavange orphaned photos" is checked.
4 - now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
5 - in the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed. Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2: Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Why, when I click on watch list, does the print shrink and move to the left of the screen, and when scroll down, a load of jargon follow the watch list?

Hi, does anyone know how to rectify this problem?
It only happens on eBay, when I click on "watch list". It starts of normal but by the time it completes, the print has got tiny and moves to the left of the scree. I can use the fingers to enlarge it, but shouldn't have to do that and it reverts to small when I try to use it again! VERY annoying - it's only started happening recently, I've had this iPad 2 for 6 months, and it NEVER happened with my iPad 1!

It's likely an oddity with the eBay site - they may have introduced the issue with a site update. I'm not certain, just sugesting.
Having said that, I don't see this behaviour on my iPad 3. Try restarting the iPad and see if that fixes it.
I use the eBay apps on both iPhone and iPad - I find them much easier than the website - might be worth a look

I have 7.0.1 installed. Everytime I open something like Gmail or Google Plus, it says the version of Firefox is outdated and asks to upgrade to the new version. I uninstalled the whole thing and started with a fresh install and still the same problem.

Even this website thinks I have Firefox 3.2.

[SOLVED] aterm and auto-scroll-down when typing

I've been using aterm for a while now, and before that urxvt.
What bothers me about aterm that I was very used to in urxvt was that, when you have scrolled up a bit, it doesn't jump to the bottom when you start typing.
Is there any way for aterm to behave like this?
Solved: I just found out about the scrollTtyOutput and scrollTtyKeypress options for .Xdefaults

Adobe Flash embeds will not be animated if they are completely hidden by another tab, window, or by scrolling down. If any part of the Flash is made visible, it will play again.

Pretty much what's up there.
If there's a Flash open, and I scroll down/open a window/open a new tab such that it is not visible anymore, it will not be animated. It freezes until any portion of it is visible again. This wasn't happening before a flash update, I believe.

They will stay on the screen. However, Process Monitor is only intended for advanced users. It is recommended that users try to navigate to the troublesome registry key using regedit, and see if they can access it or not without an error. This is far easier than trying to use Process Monitor, which is very complicated.
I used Process Monitor to confirm that it was just that key which was causing the problem, and not others. Process Monitor is not to be confused with the new Resource Monitor which is accessible via Task Manager in Windows 7 (and possibly Vista). If you must experiment (and Process Monitor is very useful for diagnosing many deep-level problems if you know what you're looking for) Process Monitor can be downloaded from here:

It replaces the older Sysinternals "FileMon" and "RegMon". For those interested in the technical side, I had to setup a number of filters to be able to get the results display as in the screenshot. First of all to just show Registry events. Then to just show events from the manual Flash activeX installer executable. The I added a filter to show only non-successfull results. And finally, for the purposes of the screenshot, added a filter to just show those with "Access Denied", since other non-critical errors are also picked up due to missing keys because installation has not yet been fully completed I guess. When experimenting, most of these filters were applied using the "is not" boolean logic, which will make sense if you experiment with the program.
Without adding any filters, it picks up so many events (hundreds per second) that it's otherwise unusable. e.g. 40,000 events within the first few seconds of opening the program. For this reason, I recommend simply using Regedit to diagnose the problem with the particular Flash registry key.

Can't Cancel the Process Of Media Recovery Creation and Start A New One

help me cancel the process of media recovery creation and start it all over again because i found that i need four disks to make the recovery creation. i made the first disk but i need to get another three disks for the process to be completed. It says that "media recovery creation has not been completed", so i want to cancel the whole opeation and start from the beginning later when i am ready for it. How can i do that, any steps or instructions to solve this issue would be appreciated.

You can only create one set of recovery discs. So once the process is completed, you will not be able to create another.

X220 Touchpad Doesn't Scroll Down, but scrolls up

I just got my X220, installed all relevant Windows and Lenovo updates, restarted several times, but the touchpad doesn't scroll down. It only scrolls up.
Also the touchpad tap action (which is same as left click) is not as responsive as I like. Is there a setting for that?

It is a bit more responsive now and is scrolling down more. Not sure what has changed. It is still not as responsive as it should be. I'm clearly sliding my finger down on the scroll side of the touchpad and it doesn't scroll. Yet sometimes it scrolls. Something is still wrong.

Question when I log into Firefox, the screen scrolls down and I have to use the side-bar to go back up to type my query into the 'search' window. How can I stop that and get Firefox to start with the 'search' window accessible? With thanks, Peter
