Higlighter add on for firefox android

please someone develop highlighter/marker add on for firefox android to highlight html 5 pages

Actually, mozilla doesn't make addons, third party devs do then they are checked by Mozila, so a third party developer would have to make such addon. Please do note that most contributors on the forums are volunteers and do not work for mozilla.

  • Is it possible to write a combined add-on for Firefox (desktop) and Firefox (Android and iPhone)?

    Dear Mozilla-Support-Team,
I am thinking about a new webservice based on an add-on for Mozilla (and other Internet Browsers).
In general, is it possible to write a combined add-on for Firefox (desktop) and Firefox (Android and iPhone)? Or do both Mozilla-worlds (desktop / mobile) differ and therefore require to write seperate add-ons (just Desktopn AND mobile or Desktop AND Android AND iPhone).
Thank you very much for your help!

It can be the same extension though you will likely need to write different code for FxAndroid and Fx Desktop.

I am trying to get the CLIPPINGS add on for firefox. but when I try and download it, it says it is not compatible with FirFox 8.0. also the latest version of firfox is 3.1 but my version is 8.0 Is that right?

It seems to be working now, so you can try again to install the extension.

  • Is there an "insert all links" type of feature or add-on for Firefox that works with Thunderbird?

    Hello Firefoxies,
Is there an "insert all links" type of feature or add-on for Firefox that works with Thunderbird or any email app? I want to be able to insert all the links from a Firefox bookmarks folder automatically in to an outgoing email and include the names that I have given to those saved links / bookmarks.
I searched for this add-on on the Firefox and the Thunderbird sites, but I don’t think the one that I found is for what I am thinking of.
What I would like to do is to be able to add all the links in a saved tabs folder, or any bookmarks folder, from Firefox in to the body of an outgoing email preferably in Thunderbird, or any email app... so I could just click and all the links and hopefully all the names that I have given to those links will then appear in the body of an outgoing email automatically, ready for me to then write what I want, plug in an address, and send.
When I did a search of add-ons on the Firefox and Thunderbird sites, I found something called “Open all links 0.3.1” on the Thunderbird site that I think is for the opposite of my description... I think this add-on is to automatically open all the links in an email that is received... '''which IS NOT what I want to do'''... I want to place all the links that I have in a Firefox bookmarks folder in to an outgoing email... the URL to the “Open all links 0.3.1” add-on is below for you to look at just in case I am reading this wrong...
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/2913/
Otherwise, I could not find any add-on that fits my description.
    Thanks so much,

...I was just more curious to see how many different companies access my info on different sites...
What concerned me more was that the same companies were accessing my info on different sites, so that a profile could be built of what sites I visit, what I do when I get there, what things I search for, and, since some sites naturally require identification, who I am. Then, with all that information collected and collated (and updated day by day), it can be sold to whomever is willing to pay and used for whatever purpose the purchaser chooses. That, more and more, is, I think, becoming the business model of the internet.
Ghostery's page-long list of tracking sites is, indeed, an eye-opener, and a sad one, at that.

  • Imacros for Firefox android

    Dear all,
Is it possible to use imacros add-ons on Firefox mobile for Android? I found it on the Android add-ons but I can't download it because it's not compatible with the last version of Firefox. Do you know if it works with previous versions or if there are problems with the mobile browser?
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you so much.

Ops. Since the link was: https://addons.mozilla.org/it/android/addon/imacros-for-firefox/versions/
I thought that it was also for Android and didn't search further.. Thanks James!

  • Can I use the same add-ons for the Android version?

I was considering buying a tablet to use with my job - but I use a lot of add-ons and extensions - I was wondering if the extensions I'm used to using with my windows Firefox version would work with Android Firefox as well?

hello maxwell_smart007, addons for firefox on android are a separate category - extensions must be ported over by their developers to work on the mobile version of firefox. here's the listing of extensions for firefox on android that are hosted at the official mozilla page: https://addons.mozilla.org/android

All of your Firefox data is stored in the profile folder.
    * [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]]
** The ''extensions'' subfolder contains add-ons like extensions and themes (but not plug-ins; plug-ins are third-party software installed in your operating system).
** Some extensions may create data folders (e.g. /adblockplus) or files (e.g. stylish.sqlite) directly under the profile folder.
** The ''prefs.js'' file stores your preferences for Firefox and extensions.

  • I'm having trouble using Firefox 4 with Tor Project software. Please help. Will there be an updated Tor Button add-on for Firefox 4.0 soon? If not, how can I get rid of 4.0 and go to an earlier, but stable Firefox version?

I'm trying to use Tor Project for anonymous browsing. I updated my Firefox to 4.0, but I can't get a Tor Button to download, because it isn't available for Firefox 4.o.
    Will it be soon?
If not, how do I go back to an earlier, stable version of Firefox that supports Tor Button browsing?
    Thanks much!

See if the "stable" version released on 30 June is compatible with Firefox 5.0. That page doesn't mention which versions of Firefox it is compatible with, a serious oversight, IMO. <br />
    https://www.torproject.org/torbutton/
Plus, it looks like that developer hasn't updated his AMO page in over a year, which makes it impossible for users of that add-on to get automatic updates as each new version of Firefox is released. <br />

  • I do not see my installed add 0n for Firefox 6.0 - Mac Lion?

I am new to Firefox and downloaded and installed the gmail add-on, but after Firefox reloads I do not see any add on in my add on bar Wherde is it? All I see is the bookmarks icon.

Your imported bookmarks from IE should all be in one folder named "From Internet Explorer". The imported Bookmarks are kept separate for easier identification by the user. You can move them to other folders outside of that folder if you wish; you can also delete any duplicates that you may have placed into Firefox Bookmarks/folders before the import.

  • Antivirus apps can't provide Web-shield/Safe Browsing for Firefox Android ? Why ?

I use avast antivirus on my android device.
I read this thread on Avast forum :
    https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=153904.0
The thing is no android antivirus app can provide URL monitor/Web-shield/Safe Browsing...feature for Firefox.
Many other browsers allow this functionality. Why not firefox ?
Please read avast discussion for more info.
    Thanks

Because of the Android security model has each app being completely siloed from each other. The stock Android browser and/or Chrome may provide some sort of access between the silos of the Avast app and the Android browser.
It is up to Avast to come up with a solution that works in our current application.

  • Is there an "OK Google" add-on for Firefox or an "OK Firefox"

Since using a smartphone I have got used to using OK Google and find that speaking a long query in the browser results in more relevant results. I thought I would add it to Firefox to make browsing easier. I can't find an add-on for this and wonder if it is compatible with Firefox. If not, is there an OK/hello/ready Firefox that will allow me to speak instead of type into the browser.

Awesome, I also just watched this weeks meeting and there was actually an update for this project, it is also happening for Firefox OS :-) [https://wiki.mozilla.org/WeeklyUpdates/2014-10-27#Firefox_OS] -> that link will have the current demo videos and bug tree.
