A good place to start is with the Flex in a Week online course that you can do at your own pace. You can download the Day Project Files and get PDFs of all the transcripts for the videos and all the starter and solution files.

It is not in a PDF format but you can print it out or just work at your own pace online to get started with Flex.

I've just started learning Flex too. I agree, the Adobe
"Learrn About Flex" is the best place to start. In particular, the
video "See a Flex app built" gives you a really good overview of
how you use the interface - and what it is capable of doing - cool!
It's not html, its mxml. Your design is compiled into a Flash
movie which you can either play in Flash Player 9 or run as a
desktop app using Adobe AIR.

Hi. I was trying to open some pdf files and got a message my adobe reader was deinstalled. I installed a new version of Adobe Reader for Mac and when trying to open a PDF file I am getting a message in a foreign language. Any suggestions?
Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. However it converts all my pdf files to Photoshop Elements 10 so I can not email them because no one can read them they are not pdf files anymore. What do I do?

If your program is Photoshop Elements (any version), you have posted in the wrong forum. Somehow your thread was posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing).

My operating system is Windows XP SP3. I have Adobe 11.0.08 installed. I cannot print a pdf file/document. Error message - AeroRd32.exe - Unable To Locate Component - "Application failed to start because lxdautil.dll not found." Any suggestions?
That DLL is part of your printer driver; reinstall or update the device driver for your printer, and the message should go away.

Nothing has been converted. You first need to convince yourself of this.
Start Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat, if you have it). Use Open from the File menu. Pick one of your PDF files. Does it open OK? If not, what happens?

As has been mentioned Adobe Reader cannot export PDF page content. Nor can it create PDF or manipulate PDF page content.
What you can do is use one of Adobe's online subscription services. Two provide for PDF to Word export.
There's ExportPDF and PDF Pack.

I solved the problem. I used Internet Explorer, 64-bit. If I use Internet Explorer 32-bit the PDF-file displays in browser. If I use Internet Explorer 64-bit Adobe Reader X opens the PDF-file outside browser.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the most current edition of Adobe Reader (11.9), including the patch. When I open a PDF file, the screen is first grey, then viewable, but then the message "Adobe Reader has stopped working" comes up. How do I remedy this?

One thing often tried first is to create a new document and File>Place the corrupted one to see how much may be rescued that way (remember to tick Paste remembers Layers in the Layer palette flyout/dropdown first, and to untick it afterwards).

Failing a full recovery, hopefully you have one or more earlier versions and/or bits of artwork saved before it happened. -
I am trying to listen BBC radio news from BBC App, but on pressing the button "live radio" I always get the error "there was an error playing this radio feed". What is the source of this error and how can I remove it?
That is probably just a generic error message and you might not ever know what is causing it. Assuming that you have been able to play live radio with the app in the past (I know nothing about the app) and assuming that all other Internet related functions (Safari, email, etc.) are working properly on your iPad, quit the app completely and reboot your iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that fails to resolve the issue, you might want to reboot your router, unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again. -
