my hike is not working as my filmware version of nokia asha 305 has to be upgraded. how can i do it from Nokia support

@Jagmohan258747 when did that start (time/date), do you remember? Are you searching a radio station (that is broken actually) or just try to listen to one of your favorites?
The latter should still work, therefore, we have to look into this issue together – but we need the answer to the two questions above.

NOKIA E-MAIL NOT WORKING ON NOKIA ASHA 303

So, I had my Nokia Asha 303 working perfectly with no bugs, no lag and good internet speed until I got this message asking me if I wanted to update my cellphone software to the v14.53. I accepted and left my phone on, with full battery, on a stable wifi connection without even touching it while the firmware was updating.
So far, so good. After it installed, all features of my phone kept working but the E-mail tool that came with the phone. The advantage of this tool for me is that I could just open a picture menu in the phone and click on "send" and the "e-mail" option would be just there. After I did this firmware update, not only my picture´s menu stopped showing the "e-mail" option on the "send" section, but I couldn´t even open the E-mail tool anymore. I would click to open it, and it just wouldn´t respond. Not even a error message.
I tried solving the problem by doing a hard format of the cellphone... making it go back to it´s factory´s configurations. It didn´t work.
I bough a data-transfer USB cable and tried to solve the problem with the Nokia Suite... all I could do was update the firmware to a newer version v14.60. But even that didn´t work. I tried to reinstall it... still... nothing.
Now... I have the feeling that, for some reason, the first firmware update I did deleted or corrupted the E-mail tool, making it impossible to restore it´s feature. Is there any way I could download the feature? Is there any other way to fix it?
I tried contacting Nokia´s Support by e-mail and phone but they said I´d have to send my phone by mail in order to be fixed and I just know that it will take a huge time till it gets solved...

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum.
If a hard reset and reinstallation of the software have not resolved the issue, please visit a local Care centre where this can be fixed for you.
The Care centre will most likely be able to do this in the shop itself and so you won't have to send the phone for repair. If this is necessary after all they will able be able to give you an estimate of how long it will take to repair the phone and send it back to you.
You can find your nearest Care centre here.

i have restored my phone due to some settings problems...
then after i restored my data on the phone using backup...
after all this when i tried to use nokia mail, it doesn't even open..!!!
i restored the phone again...
even then it is not working...
is there any way to install nokia mail?

Welcome to the Nokia discussion boards!
Did you download Opera Mini here from the Nokia applications store? If not, download it and install the application through Nokia Suite which can be found here.
It may be worth also before reinstalling applications, to perform a soft reset, which will restore your settings and not delete any data from the device. You can do this by entering *#7780# into your keypad and when prompted, enter 12345 as the default passcode.

after update of new version 7.42 the phone becomes worst
any app does not open also nokia browser,ebuddy,whatsapp and downloaded apps and
does not play any video tells video quality too large only sound plays does not play any type of videos i.e nokia tells the supported videos does not plays also downloaded from store also does not plays video are played well in v5.92

@Nm305 these are all Java based application and require a working file system. Sometimes the file system get corrupted for example removing the battery+SIM too fast after a shutdown of the phone. The built-in reset is not able to re-create the file system. Therefore, did you consider the Software Recovery Tool via a Windows computer already?

the FOTA update packages for the latest Asha 305 update were quite big (around 5 MB) and it takes some additional space on top of that to get the package installed to the phone. If there is a memory card inserted to the phone, the update package should get downloaded to memory If not, then phone memory is used for the whole process. Asha 305 does not have a lot of free phone memory even in fully clean state (~10 MB), so this can be a problem.
ways to work around this memory limitation:
* use a memory card in the phone - then the FOTA update package should get downloaded there instead of phone memory. If needed, you can also transfer pics, videos, user installed apps to the memory card to free up space.
* alternatively you can update the device with Nokia Suite on your PC. With that update method there's no similar memory limitation, so having a memory card is not necessary.
* If the above options do not work, as a "last resort" you could take the phone to a Nokia Care service for update/reflashing.

The theme developer decides which icons the theme replaces and which it doesn't.
However, the theme editor tool may have restrictions in that it does not know of, or allow to change all icons. The theme editor is platform version specific, and does not know of all the individual apps of every phone variant based on a particular platform version. If the theme editor is not aware of all the icons, then the theme developer using the tool has no way of changing it, either.

Update the software for nokia asha 305

Hey plz update a new sw for nokia asha 305 as the phone has got lots of drawbecks like,
hangs up quite often and doesnt restart after it gets hangs,youtube not supported,poor battery backup,always shows application error whenever i try to run any app on my phone
i hope these problems will be solved by nokia in their next update

Yes there is, my friend. One of our friends here in the forum posted it already. Here, New software update available for Asha 305: v. 5.92.
Please take note that update availability depends on existing Nokia device firmware version, country, and operator. Normally, the roll -out will be throttled so you just really have to wait.

Required Update for Pattern lock nokia asha 305

Nokia asha 305 is not supporting pattern lock apps like maze lock.. (since it has a s40 os which will not support sis files). But can i get an update for my asha with in-built pattern lock like in androide.. i really loves to use pattern lock..
Why cant nokia introduce such locking methods?? thanks in advance...
