Hi Aalok,
This will not be supported as it is already preinstalled on the software of the phone. See this link for more info: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsphone/develop/hh202918(v=vs.105).aspx

    i have Nokie N91 (4 GB) Firmware:V3.10.023
    Kindly help...
I had been to Nokia care   they told me that your mobile may go dead if tried to install Hindi font support kindly help
is their any third party app we can install that can be used to view Hindi appz no ?
    Waiting for reply

There is no way that the end-user can add languages to a phone. Nokia service points can do this safely, if yours has told you different then it means that they are not offering the service, ufortunately.
There are people on the internet that will tell you how to hack the phone's system to do this and which software to acquire for it, but they won't tell you that you really do risk damaging your phone unless. This is not allowed to be further discussed here because it also invalidates warranties, so the moderators always remove it.

  • Hindi fonts in java

i have read in books that java supports unicode and hence all the language charectors. i have the unicodes for hindi fonts. i want to write them in TextArea or JTextArea. but the problem is that when i use command append(""+<code>), i see some numbers in the textarea instead of hindi fonts. is there any way i can add hindi fonts to textArea? i am intended to use them in applet.

let me explain a bit. i want my applet to display hindi fonts when i put it online. if i use the setFont() it displays hindi fonts but the fonts MUST be present in my system ( i have hindi fonts in my system ). i want a more flexible way so that there should be no need of hindi fonts on user's system. i tried making an Font object of hindi fonts and saving it on the disk using ObjectOutputStream. but when i read it back on another system, it does not show hindi fonts. even i have tried directly supplying the unicode of hindi fonts, but nothing works. please friends help me! is there nobody to guide me?

  • Do you have hindi fonts for InDesign CS4 and if so how much are they?

Do you have hindi fonts for InDesign CS4 and if so how much are they?

Adobe does offer a few Unicode fonts that support Hindi  I'd expect that you'd be asking for Devanagari fonts, though. Have you ever done any Hindi typesetting? I mean, when we typeset English we don't do it in "English fonts" but in "Latin-script fonts."
There are two main classes of Devanagari fonts - the more common, older fonts where someone took a Latin-script font, erased the characters, and replaced them with Devanagari glyphs, versus contemporary Unicode fonts. The first class are wonky, hard to use, and quite common. If you're in-country you will find lots of ways to buy those kinds of fonts. You also can use them in InDesign without needing any scripts or plugins to turn on the World-Ready Composer. I find Unicode fonts to be much easier to use, to automatically compose according to proper rules regarding behavior of glyphs - but to use them in CS4, you'd need something like World Tools or IndicPlus. I'm a World Tools user myself but if you're going to be doing only Hindi work in CS4, I'd suggest that you look at IndicPlus first.
In short - it's deeper than it looks. If you want to tell us more about what you're trying to do, we might be able to give you better advice.

  • HT4641 how to install Krutidev hindi font in pages?

I have downloaded the pages for opening of the hindi text MS document which came to me by email as attachment, but still I am not able to read/edit file which are having Hindi krutidev font from MS word format.
Kindly suggest me with the any addtional font support or downloading additional hindi fonts in pages apps.
    Dr. Rajat Sharma

Apple only supports Unicode Hindi.  It looks to me like krutidev may be an old non-standard font that maps devanagari to Latin characters.  Is that what you see in the document?   I think you will need to find some other kind of device or machine to read such things.
If you still want to try to install the font, see

Make sure the two things available:
    1. Embed fonts option enabled.
This option is available in Designer->File->Form Properties->Save Options panel
Important: This will work only for PDF files (not for XDP)
    2. Adobe Reader Extended Languages support font pack installed on the target machine the Hindi font is not installed.

  • Hindi font not show in Pagemaker

Hindi font not show in Pagemaker

Pagemaker has limited font support and will not be able to handle Hindi. There was a middle eastern version back in the day, nut I'm not sure if it supported hindi. Indesign and maybe some 3rd part plugins would be your best bet.

  • Marathi/Hindi font in Nokia Asha 503

    Hello
Yesterday I bought Nokia Asha 503 and updated phone to latest software update by Nokia.
It doesn't support Marathi/Hindi font. Can somebody please help me here?
    Thanks in advance.
    Abhijeet

    Hi jabhijeet,
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
The language pack made available on a Nokia phone is market and country dependent. The Marathi/Hindi language is only available on Nokia phones intended for countries where the language is mainly used so it should be available in your device if it was originally purchased in India.
BTW, before updating it to the latest software, are you able to see Marathi/Hindi font?

    Manish

    Hi Manish,
We also had same requirement where we need to show indian local language(Hindi ,Bengali and many more ).
We had implemented following approach and perhaps it will helpful for you.
1-First we changed the encoding value in jdeveloper.
go to jdeveloper --> tools --->preference-->encoding , select to UTF8
2-We used to get the properties and it's translated value from business and then we were manually put these pair into related resource bundle.
And using this we were able to implemented multilanguage support.
    Thanks

My exact feelings has been transformed into words. I fully agree that without Black Berry connect software stop calling E71 Business Phone. Mail for Exchange support is available but how many small to medium size companies can afford? It seems that Nokia is just intrested to sell phone without any customer Care but Nokia do remember that once you lose your customers then you will not be in a position to be number 1. Only and only customers can make you number 1 or 0. So pls act quickly on so many customers demand and launch Black Berry connect. Once Nokia will announce i am sure that atleast 20-30% customers who are using Black berry will shift to E-71. No doubt its a great phone but without black berry connect its nothing else then the normal mobile phone.
    Regards
I agree with you but, nokia is starting their own email, problem is MFE & Nokia email doesnt support multiple email accounts, at one stage you really want few mail id's like personal, currently official, future official, etc. BB supports multiple email accounts at one go. So I strongly agree that Nokia should act now and get BB in all their new e-series phone.

  • Hindi font related problem in A6000 Plus

I bought a new phone A6000 Plus , but it is not supporting Hindi fonts . I search Google some things. And found that there is file missing "droidHindi.ttf" in fonts folder of system.
So is anyone knows how to fix it.

    Hi del.frost,
If you've already read through my article, you might not have found an answer for your more specific question. Though section 3 is pretty close to the same idea.
It certainly sounds like you've been around fonts long enough to know you need to avoid font conflicts. Being in the printing industry myself, I've had to make several permanent changes to my OS X work station so I can use the fonts I need.
You mentioned adding fonts to the /System/Library/Fonts/ folder. While not a crime, it's not good practice either. Except for a handful of reasons to dig into that folder, users should pretend it doesn't exist. Always use either the Fonts folder in your user account, or the global /Library/Fonts/ folder if you want all user accounts of that Mac to use the fonts.
Like you, I have to use different versions of Helvetica, Courier and a couple other fonts that are also supplied in .dfont format by Apple. The solution is to permanently place the versions you need to use in the /Library/Fonts/ folder and delete the conflicting fonts from the /System/Library/Fonts/ folder. You'll need to know the password for your Mac in order to remove anything from the System folder. Personally, I first made backup copies of all of the fonts I removed from the /System/Library/Fonts/ folder just so I'd have them. WARNING! Do not for any reason remove LucidaGrande.dfont.
So for you, remove the Apple supplied versions of Helvetica and Helvetica Neue from the /System/Library/Fonts/ folder and place your versions in the /Library/Fonts/ folder.
