Hindi Support in Premiere Elements
Hi...I wanted to check if Adobe Premiere Elements supports Devnagari (Hindi) script? I am currently testing Premiere Elements 1.0 and it certainly doesn't support Hindi characters. Is the support available on any versio of Premiere Element?

What HD formats are supported by Premiere Elements 10?
I'm planning to purchase a new HD camcorder, and I want to be sure that my camcorder and my video editing software work together well. I notice that most high-end consumer camcorders now record HD video in MPEG4-AVC /
H.264 format. It is noted to be AVCHD 2.0 compatible. The camcorders allow a choice of frame rates. The best resolution is obtained with 60 (or is it 30?) frames a second, progressive. It is referred to as 60p. My question is: Does Premiere Elements 10 support this format and frame rate? Will I be able to input my video material in this format, edit it, and create Blu-ray disks without significant loss of quality? Thanks.Though I have a small handful of "consumer" NLE (Non Linear Editor) programs, the only one that I know with 100% certainty, that will perfectly handle 60p is Premiere Pro, but it is anything but "light."
It could be that newer versions of my CyberLink PowerDirector, Magix MovieEdit Pro, etc., will handle it well, but not my older versions. I do not have any of the Sony Vegas products, so you might post to a Vegas forum and ask. There are several versions of Vegas, and it could well be that one of them will be up to the task. Also, look at Pinnacle (AVID) Studio. I quit using their products, as of Studio 10, and think they are up to 14 now. Also, a newer, updated version of AVID Liquid (my older version did not), might handle it.
Others might have more current, and hence usable info on other applications.

You can create a slideshow in Premiere Elements, either in the Premiere Elements Editor alone or in the Elements Organizer that comes with it, followed by Edit with Premiere Elements Editor. For now, here is an Adobe document that goes to the topic

Lots more, that goes to setting up the slideshow (photos or photos and videos), pixel dimensions of the photos as it relates to computer resources, expectations versus results if you have very high resolution photos...as with all video editors, even if you have 1920 x 1080 and higher photos, they will we reduced to the standard for DVD-VIDEO standard or widescreen (frame size 720 x 480 NTSC and 720 x 576 PAL).
But, I would ask are you going for Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc or, as I have taken for granted, DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc?

Format Not Supported By Premiere Elements
When I tried to import a song in Premiere Elements the m4p format was not supported by the software. Since I downloaded and paid for it once already can I change my settings to something it does support without paying for it again?
Most songs on the iTunes Store are in a protected format - meaning they cannot be used in other programs and cannot be converted. Unless, of course, you purchased an iTunes Plus song:

I also tried to download an Elements 10 with latest updates, but that version is apparently not available online. Will it help to download the software from the installation CD?

Hi, I have problem with importing MOV files from SJCAM 4000. MOV files are in supported formats for Adobe Premiere Elements 11. But if I'm importing MOV file, only audio part is imported, video part is not imported. How can I solve this problem?

From looking at the specifications of your camera (SJCam 4000), we know already what video compression your camera is using. It is H.264.
A H.264.mov file should be supported by Premiere Elements 11. On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11 running?
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer? And, are you running QuickTime and Premiere Elements 11 from a
User Account with administrative privileges? Please go to Premiere Elements 11 Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime to confirm that you find
presets there for the QuickTime choice there.
What are the properties of these H.264.mov files - is it 1080p30 (1920 x 1080p30) or something else? Do you know if this camera is recording with a variable or
a constant frame rate?
Please review and consider and then we will decide what next.

Does Premiere Elements 13 Support 4K video?

Both Premiere Elements 12 and 13 have project presets for the video with the resolution of 3840 x 2160 (a 4K resolution) under NTSC only. It also offers
export of the 3840 x 2160 resolution under Publish+Share/Computer/XAVC-S. There is no burn to Blu-ray with any 4K resolution.
Remember, that 4K is a resolution. And, the video codec from manufacturer to manufacturer can vary which impacts the question. The generalization is that
H.264.mp4 4K video is supported by Premiere Elements 12 and 13.

You did not mention the resolution of your XAVC-S video.
There are project presets and export presets that can be used for XAVC-S video, but....
1. The project presets available under the AVCHD category (see those with QFHD prefix) are for the resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.
For NTSC, there are 3 choices with this resolution - @ 23.976 progressive frames per second, @ 29.97 progressive
frames per second, and 59.94 progressive frames per second. For PAL, there are only 2 choices with this resolution -
25 progressive frames per second and 50 progressive frames per second.
2. When you get to Publish+Share/Computer/XAVC-S, the default settings will have the resolution 3840 x 2160 pixels.
But, you can customize the preset selected under the Advanced Button/Video Tab. This is the type of information that you
will be looking at there in the way of export choices defaults (example is for the NTSC setup).

If your XAVC-S is representative of H.264.mp4, your file should be supported by Premiere Elements 13. But, if you have not purchased the program yet,
I would suggest that you evaluate the free 30 day tryout from Adobe before purchase to determine first hand the compatibility of the program with your computer environment and project goals.

Unable to import .mp4/.ts into Premiere Elements 3.0

I've tried to get information on the file using a program. If there's a better way to do it, please let me know:

I am able to import a .ts file into Premiere Elements 10, 11, and 12 Windows 7 64 bit.
But, not so, for Premiere Elements 4, 7, 8, and 9.
And, the reason why your .mp4 conversion did not work would be in accord with the fact that you used AVCHD as the video compression, and AVCHD video compression was not supported by Premiere Elements until version 7.
If you do decide to move to version 12, please note that there is a dramatic difference in workspace between 3 and 12. So, go the free tryout of 12 before any purchase.
You could try to convert the .ts to H.264.mp4 and not AVCHD (MPEG4 AVC/H.264).mp4 and see if that works for you.

Text Save Style in Premiere Elements 13 Mac
I can't save styles for text in Premiere Elements 13 on my Mac. I can make one, only one, but it won't save the name and lately it hasn't even saved the style. What should I do to fix that?

Are you working in the Expert workspace or the Quick workspace of the program?
Adobe has just released the 13.1 Update for version 13. Have you downloaded and installed it? If not, don't right now.
Please do this mini test first in a new project...
1. Open the Titler with Text Menu/New/Default Text
2. In the Text Section of the Titler create your text, apply a style to it from the Styles Section of the Titler, and save
the text style in the Style Section of the Titler.
If that is what you have been doing, then update from 13 to 13.1 And, repeat the mini test run. Do you have the same problem
in 13.1 as you did in 13?
If so, go to the Quick workspace, and repeat the mini test run there. Do you have the same problems in the Quick workspace as
you did in the Expert workspace?
If that does not help the situation, then please delete the Premiere Elements 13/13.1 setting file which should be found

Premiere Elements 12 Offline Content Download???
Installed a hardcopy version of Premiere Elements 12 on an offlline computer. The only problem is that I cannot download any extra content! In version 9, I was able to copy the link, go to my online computer, and download it there. Version 12 provides no link. How am I supposed to get my content? Please help!
I'm not sure why you can not connect your computer to the internet (It would sure be much simpler) -- but that said:
Yes, you can download all content to your internet-connected computer by going to, say, the Tools/Movie Menu workspace, right-clicking on a template and selecting Download All.
Once you've done, so you'll need to copy the entire DVD Templates folder from that computer to your other.
You haven't advised us what operating system you're working on so I can't give you specifics other than saying that, in Windows 7 or 8, this file is located in C:/PROGRAM DATA/ADOBE/PREMIERE ELEMENTS/12.0/ONLINE/DVD TEMPLATES.
On a Mac, this folder is in HD/LIBRARY/APPLICATION SUPPORT/ADOBE/PREMIERE ELEMENTS/12.0/ONLINE/DVD TEMPLATES.
If you've downloaded the other additional content also, you'll find them in the other folders in that ONLINE directory, next to the DVD TEMPLATES folder.
You will still need some sort of internet connection -- even if it's a temporary one -- to activate Premiere Elements 12 on this computer though. I don't know of a way around that. -
Is Adobe Premiere Elements 10 compatible with OS X Yosemite?
I have Adobe Premiere Elements 10 that I use on my IMAC. I recently updated my operating system to OS X Yosemite and when I go to use the add menus portion of the the program it consistently crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and it still crashes when trying to add disc menu's to my movie? Is Adobe Premiere Elements 10 not compatible with OS X Yosemite? Do I need to upgrade my version of Adobe Premiere Elements for the program to work? Larry

I am strictly an Elements Windows person and do not have a Mac computer to road test this one. I do remember that question being asked before. My recollection is that Premiere Elements 10 is, but it a recollection which I would need to research. Most of the threads with that question can be found unanswered.
Does Premiere Elements 10 run on Yosemite?
Most of the "Elements" discussions with information revolve around Photoshop Elements Mac and Yosemite.
Are you running the program as Administrator and do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer? Is it only disc menus that bring the project down? Is it all disc menus or just one or two that are involved in the issue?
But, first I would ask "What video card/graphics card are your computer use?" Therein may be the problem if the card is a NVIDIA GeForce one.
You could try delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file which I believe can be found in Mac
Users/Owner/Libraries/Application Support/Adobe/Premiere Elements/10.0
