Hint:how to resent a previously-sent email

Apologies if this trick has already been posted, but just figured put something I found useful.
Occasionally,I want to resend an email to a different recipient. This is especially true since we have no BCC ability (yet...).
Here's how to do it:
(1) go to Sent items folder
(2) select the message you want to resend
(3) select the little "move to folder" icon at the bottom of the screen
(4) move it to the "Drafts" folder
(5) go to the Drafts folder and open the message
(6) edit the recepient(a) and/or body and resend
Sort of a poor man's BCC and copy/paste

Didn't think about that part. I have POP and somehow inadvertently ended up with a Drafts folder.
I think if this phone wasn't so AMAZING people wouldn't have such high-expectations of what it should be able to do.
So hoping Apple is going to surprise all the iPhone owners out there in a month or so with a software update that adds some significant functionality (like cut & pasting and memo syncing, to mention a few...)

How to delete ALL previously sent email addresses from *iPad*

I use my Apple ID to set up my kids' iPad Minis, which in retrospect was not so bright.
Now when my child starts typing the recipient's name for an email all of MY previously sent email addresses come up, many of which are work-related.
I know I can click on the blue "I" and remove them one by one, but I have over 1,000 contacts - so one by one just isn't practical. Is there a way to delete them all in one go?
Again - this is on the iPad mini, NOT laptop/desktop. I know how to do it on my MBP but can't find anything out there for the bulk deletion on the iPad.

Any idea how the addresses "synced" on there to begin with? Surely there's an "unsync" feature?
My email addresses are not being used on the iPad so it must have something to do with my Apple ID.

TS3276 Mac Mail in Mavericks is randomly resending previously sent emails

For some reason previously sent emails are getting randomly resent. This seems to happen most when the program restarts as my computer reboots. Is there a way to stop this from happening? This is confusing and annoying for my clients!

Mail is not in my log in items. It opens, because it was open when I shut down.

How can I view my sent emails? I'm running ios5 but can only see my inbox.

In your email inbox, hit the back arrow in the top left.
Underneath where it says "Accounts" select the one that you are using.
In there, you will see the "Sent Mail" folder.

Do you mean you want all the emails that are now ending up in the Sent mailbox to end up in the Inbox?
If that is what you want to do, you can create a Rule. Go to Mail /Preferences / Rules, and select Add Rule.
You create the rule there, and Mail will follow it.

How do I retrieve "lost" sent emails?

Whilst attempting to rectify problems with my wife's mail program in Tiger 10.4.11, on her PowerBook 6.8 12" G4 laptop, I reduced the time from "Never" to "One Week" before sent emails are erased, believing that this would reduce the storage required on the ISP's server.
Instead I find that all old outgoing emails older than one week, are no longer available on her 12" G4 laptop, and my life has become ****.
How do I get Mail to display the "lost" outgoing emails?
The last backup of this machine was about two months ago, so I need to find and restore/import at least the past couple of months of outgoing emails, which have been erased.
Advice please.

Unfortunately, it sounds like the missing messages have actually been erased. You might want to download the free trial of this software to see if anything is recoverable. I don't have any personal experience with it.

How can I view previously sent e-mails ( with images attached or photo-mail)in Adobe Photoshop?

I would like like to be able to view previously sent e-mails in the "photo mail".
Then I would like to be be able to forward them to a new address.
Also, when I include my own e-mail, gmail thinks the address is unvalidated or is phising. I sent a copy to my own e-mail to be able to review what had been sent.
Any suggestions?

The organizer is not a browser, it is a database : even if it can show photos in your folders structure, it only works on the files wich have been 'imported' and registered in the catalog. It can show your registered pictures displayed according to the real folder structure based on the paths registered with each present file, but you'll have problems if some upper level folder is empty.
On the other hand, the items registered in a catalogue can't be duplicates, and the Organizer prevents duplicates to be registered. There is no simple one click way to override this constraint, which would mean a different database 'key', that is to rename the duplicates you want to register.
Practical way : since you have to rename the duplicates before importing them, you could do this directly in Windows or any other freeware like Faststone photoresizer.
Or you could open those pictures directly from the editor, browsing in your folder structure.
Imagine you have duplicates in a folder and want to rename them and import them using only PSE :
- From the editor, use the 'process multiple files' to export the files from this folder and rename them, for instance 'IMG_0012.jpg' + 'dupl' stating the same destination folder
- Try again to 'get files and videos' from the organizer.

Firstly please don't post in capitals: it comes over as shouting and IS CONSIDERED RUDE (see what I mean ).
iCloud handles its own email: it has no relationship whatever with any other email service. You can set other email services up separately in the Mail app and application on your devices and Macs, but you will only get the result you want if they are IMAP services (where, as with iCloud, the emails reside on the server and are read from there by the various devices). Many services are POP, where accessing an email results in its being downloaded to the device and usually removed from the server, and either way round sent emails remain only on the device which sent them.
If Rogers are providing you with a POP service you should ask whether they can provide an IMAP one. If not your only option would be to find another email service which can (or use iCloud).
You could, by the way, Bcc all sent messages to your iCloud address - they would of course turn up in the Inbox but they would be accessible on all devices.

How do I delete previously used email addresses?

I used an email once and now I can't get rid of it... When I am composing a message and type the beginning of an address it comes up and it is not in my contacts. How do I clear the email cache? Have not been able to find a way to get rid of it.

Apple’s Mail program stashes away a list of previously used addresses to help speed up your e-mail chores, but it saves these addresses whether they are correct or not. Fortunately, it’s possible to open up the list and weed out all the unwanted, outdated or incorrect addresses at one sitting.
To do so, open the Mail program, go to the Window menu and choose Previous Recipients. The Previous Recipients window opens with a sortable list of the names and e-mail addresses of people you have corresponded with in the past, as well as the date of when the address was last used. Click the Name, E-mail or Last Used bar at the top of the column to sort the list on your preferred criteria.
To remove someone from the Previous Recipients list so that Mail won’t try to auto-complete the address, click on the entry to select it and then click the Remove From List button in the bottom left corner of the window. You can select multiple entries at once by holding down the Mac’s Command key to highlight several addresses as you go. Click the Remove From List button to zap all the selected addresses at once.
If you find a contact that you’d like to officially add to the Mac’s Address Book program, select it and click the Add to Address Book button in the bottom right corner of the window.

Using Mail as backup for Gmail: how can I get the Sent email folder?

I have opened a Mail account and its loading up the Gmail, but there is nothing in the Sent box.
Will they come over eventually and if so whewre?. there is 5Gb to transfer

I don't quite understand what you've posted. Have you cancelled your Gmail account?
If you've just connected Mail to Gmail, and you've used IMAP to connect to it, you'll probably have an "All Mail" mailbox towards the bottom left of the screen (under the GMail mailbox). In there should be a Sent Mail box. All your Sent mail should be in there. To have it appear in the Sent mailbox at the top left of your screen, highlight Gmail's Sent Mail mailbox, click the Mailbox menu at the very top of your screen, and click "Use this Mailbox for - Sent".

How retrieve addresses who i sent email to using BCC. So Blind i can't see

So I sent out some email, and each to a list in BlindCC frame. Now i wish to find out exactly who did get some of that mail, so i open it from SENT field. And there's nothing in BCC, no addresses. I know they were sent, just can't fig out who. BCC should be blind to others, not so blind to me.

That's the way it should be. BCC stands for blind carbon copy. The people who receive the email (as TO and CC) are not supposed to see that others received it as BCC. The BCC recipients will see who the email was TO and CC, but not any other BCC.
A good way to use BCC is for sending a mass email without letting each recipient see the other recipients. Address the email back to yourself and put ALL of the recipients on the BCC line. Everyone will get it but not know who else got it.

Go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. The set up the iPod with your Apple ID and your media. The media on the the iPod was not transferable to you.

Automate following up on a previously sent email

I would like ot automate the following task... not sure if it is possible.
I have sent a number of individual emails (I can isolate them with a search), that I want to send again quoting the original text and appending new text at the top.
I had typed the persons first name in the first line of the original body... I don't have the name in address book. I can automatically add the addressed, but not that selective text.
Is there any way to automate this process?

Probably not. Maybe a scam. call 1-800-922-0204 and ask customer service. Give no information to that email.
