HIS 2013 HISServerConfig.xml example location and unattended install question

Hello,
I've never used the unattended part of the installer but wanted to give it a try.  The installation guide refers to an example in the support\unattended_installs folder.  I don't see that folder or file on the media I down loaded.
The guild also instructs to "save" the configuration during setup to create my own xml.  I didn't see a "save" but tried using an export during my test unattended install but that didn't work.  I would appreciate any help/information.
Thanks, Jim.

Hi Jim,
you are right. Unlike stated in the Installation guide this folder doesn't exist.
Anyway, here it goes:
When you install HIS the latest Setup/configuration screen will provide a link to create a XML file. Anyway, exporting the XML file out of the configuration utility will create the reference XML of your current installation and configuration.
You may modify the XML file according to the required settings of your new Server by changing the subdomain name, role,  etc....
Also please note that we do not store the password in the XML file for security reasons, so you need to add this manually.
Once done, please run a similar command according to you settings as below:
Setup.exe /InstallPlatform /L c:\HISInstall.log /S c:\HISServerConfig.xml /INSTALLDIR C:\HIS Configuration.exe /L c:\ConfigFramework.Log /S c:\HISServerConfig.xml
Options
The following table describes the command options.
/InstallPlatform
This flag causes the installation program to install any platform prerequisites.
/L c:\HISInstall.log
This flag determines the log file location that is created during setup.
/S C:\HISServerConfig.xml
This flag specifies the configuration file (list of features) that is used on installation. The file "HISServerConfig.xml" contains information about which features to install and how they should be configured. Sample copies of these files are located
in the Support\Unattended_Installs directory of the installation folder. This file can also be created during setup by clicking Save in the summary panel of the Configuration Tool.
/INSTALLDIR
This option tells Setup where to install the product.
The Setup.exe installs all required binaries according to you reference installation while the configuration.exe configures you HIS Server the same as the reference configuration.
Hope that helps

  • PSE 7 tags and new install questions

I have PSE7 on an older computer and I've purchased a new computer and would like the tags from the 30000+ images to move over to the new system.
    I see some possible pitfalls.
New OS is Windows 7 and old OS is XP
Paths will be different due to the Users versus Documents and Settings folders
    Sheer size of the files
I have already copied the files to the new system and have installed PSE7.  Now I haven't even opened PSE7 on the new system yet as I want to make sure I can get all the data from the old system in there first.
I don't really want to backup 50GB or so of pictures again but if I have to I can.
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
    Pete

The backup/restore method is generally the most straightforward way of moving your catalog to a new computer, especially when switching versions of Windows or changing the file and folder paths.  Adobe has not yet announced whether they will officially support PSE 7 on Windows 7, but a number of people have reported that various versions of PSE ran fine on pre-release Windows 7.
See this FAQ for details on using the backup/restore method:

  • SDK Samples in HIS 2013

After installing Host Integration Server 2013, I do not see any of the SDK Sample directories on the file system.
Did I miss something in the install or are these samples not part of the install media anymore???
    Thanks,
    Gary Clanton

HIS 2013 is available as a supplemental license to BizTalk 2013. This means that you have to license one of the BizTalk Server 2013 Editions to get a license for HIS 2013. You don't need to install and use BizTalk Server in order to use HIS. You only need
to install BizTalk Server if you need to use one of the BizTalk Adapters that is included with HIS.
You didn't indicate what type of applications that you will be communicating with on the IBM mainframe. If you will be communicating with CICS or IMS transactions on the mainframe, then you'd likely want to take a look at the Transaction Integrator (TI)
feature in HIS 2013. You can use TI with a WCF service. See
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn150066(v=bts.80).aspx#application for an overview of the Application Integration feature of HIS 2013. You might also want to look through the following topic:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn149782(v=bts.80).aspx
The HIS 2013 SDK does include sample applications. When the SDK is installed, it gets installed to the following folder:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Host Integration Server 2013 SDK v1.0
Under this folder, you will see the following folders:
    - ApplicationIntegration
    - BizTalkAdapters
    - DataIntegration
    - MessageIntegration
    - NetworkIntegration
    - SessionIntegration
Under each of these folders are samples specific to those features. For example, under ApplicationIntegration there are two additional folders: HostInitiated and WindowsInitiated. The WindowsInitiated folder includes samples for Transaction Integrator where
TI initiates transactions by calling application on the IBM host system. Under WindowsInitiated, you will find a WcfService folder that has a TI WCF sample application. You'd also want to look at the ApplicationIntegrationStarterGuide sample because it describes
many of the new TI features in HIS 2013.
If TI doesn't fit the needs, then you need to look at the other HIS features to see what might work for the IBM integration scenario that you are working on.
You might also want to look at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/biztalk/hh441721 as this site has many links to HIS specific resources.
    Thanks...

  • RHEL5, ASM and rules.d question

    Hi,
We're having trouble setting up ASM 11g on RHEL5. The oracle account is able to see the disks.
When running the installer from the grid software location, and selecting "install and configure grid infrastructure for a standalone server", the disks are not listed as candidate disks. the entries on that screen are: DIsk group name QDATA, redundancy external, and for add disks, there is nothing listed. I assume that the permissions on the disk are correct, but was wondering if maybe they aren't. I've read that there should be entries in the /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev.rules files, but am confused as to whether that applies in this case and if so, what those entries should be for EMC disk. We are installing as user oracle goup dba.

Now that you see the end result the question becomes how did I get there? The first step is correctly associating the emc pseudo name with the correct partition. In my case the last letter in the emc pseudo name corresponds with the partition number, so emcpower4d would be the 4 partition on the emcpower4 disk. Let's assume you know the correct partition and emc powever path pseudo names. Now we need get the major/minor numbers for them to create the mknod entries. As an aside, I can control file permissions on the mknod entries much easier. Example:
    ls -Ll /dev/rdsk/emcpower0e
    crw------- 1 root sys 284, 4 Jan 15 12:07 /dev/rdsk/emcpower0e
In this case this is for the ocr so I create the mknod entry as:
    cd /raw/ocr
    mknod ocr1 c 289 4
    chown oracle:oinstall ocrconf1
    chmod 774 ocrconf1
Repeat the "ls -Ll /dev/rdsk/emc.." and "mknod .." commands for all disk that you will be working against.
    Ok, that's all done.
When running the oui to install clusterware you come to the OCR Configuration screen and are given the choice of Normal Redundancy versus External Redundancy. My recommendation is Normal Redundancy for both voting disk and the ocr; though External Redundancy will work. Each ocr and votedisk entries cost 256M, but I round up to 300M when requesting the partition size to support ocrs and votedisks...call me paranoid. Normal Redundancy will use 2 ocrs and External Redundancy will use one ocr. In my case I enter /raw/ocr/ocrconf1 and /raw/ocr/ocrconf2. The named mknod entries makes things much more intuitive. The next screen will show Voting Disk Configuration again you are given the choice of Normal Redundancy versus External Redundancy. In the case of Voting Disk Configuration with Normal Redundancy you must give it 3 devices so in my case I give it /raw/ocr/votedisk1, /raw/ocr/votedisk2, and /raw/ocr/votedisk3. The good news that OUI will test the existence and permissions of the file(mknod entries) you give it. In case wondering, it's not until the installation is done and you asked to run root.sh that oracle actually starts writing to /raw/ocr/ocrconf* and /raw/ocr/votedisk*. Eventually you will be prompted to run:
    /u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/orainstRoot.sh and then /u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1/root.sh
as root. Hopefully root.sh gives you no trouble. Now in your case it is just one node; however I wanted to give you some output of what looks good. The most interesting parts running root.sh are:
Creating OCR keys for user 'root', privgrp 'root'..
    Operation successful.
    Now formatting voting device: /raw/ocr/votedisk1
    Now formatting voting device: /raw/ocr/votedisk2
    Now formatting voting device: /raw/ocr/votedisk3
Format of 3 voting devices complete.

    User Configuration/Policies/Administrative Templates
    - Using Office 2013 group policy template to define Trusted Locations and Template Locations doesn't work

    Description: Trusted Location

The policy appears to apply to the client correctly by adding the following registry key and values:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\office\15.0\word\security\trusted locations\location1
    allowsubfolders: 1
    date: June 10, 2013

However, when you open Word Options/Trust Centre/Trust Centre Settings…/Trusted Locations
There are no trusted locations listed under ‘Policy Locations’
I have tried setting similar settings for setting the Shared Templates folder location and just like the trusted locations policy, the registry keys are created properly in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies however word doesn’t
    seem to recognize these either.
This used to work flawlessly using the administrative templates for Word 2007 and 2010. Has anyone been able to get these policies to apply successfully, or know why office doesn’t recognize these settings from the Policies registry
    Key?

This would have been an easy solution to the issue.  Unfortunately it isn't the problem.  This question was originally posted on another Microsoft site and
was transferred here and when it was transferred the path's changed from the original post:
\\server\sharedfodlername to //server/sharedfoldername.  (I will edit the question to show up as it did in the original post) Not sure how that happened.  This
is still an issue that I haven't been able to get working correctly.
As it turns out the 'New from Template' interface Word 2013 has developed is very bulky with large thumbnails and is not very customizable nor practical for an office
that has a large number of templates.   Because I am unsatisfied with the display and performance of the 'New' template chooser I sought after a solution to change the way word creates a document from a template in another thread:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-word/how-can-you-change-the-display-of-templates-in/d49194b9-a6b4-4768-8502-7d7b50e9dd65 working through this issue with Jay we were able to develop
some VB script with handles a very large number of templates in a list view and it works much faster than the built-in Word interface.  The above thread is how I've worked around trying to define a shared template location and I am quite happy with it.

  • OSD: Apply Windows Settings and Unattend.xml

What's the principle with "Apply Windows Settings"?
Whether "Apply Windows Settings" and "Unattend.xml" work together
If I used them at the same time, what will happen?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong:
Apply Windows Settings steps are actually injected into the unattend.xml during the task sequence, so unattend.xml gets processed with the settings you specified in the step.

  • Converting TI Object from HIS 2006 to HIS 2013

    Hello
I am attempting to convert my current HIS 2006 TI objects to run in HIS 2013 and have encountered the following issues:
    1. Unable to open my TI object .DLL file in TI Designer within Visual Studio 2012. I have run the TI Conversion Tool to convert my TI object to be compatible with HIS 2013, however I am now unable to open this in TI Designer as I get the following error
message "Failed to load the library. It might not be generated by Host Integration Server Designer".
    2. My TI Object is self-hosted and I have a Web Service that references this TI Assembly. When I try and invoke this web service it fails and when I check my WCF trace file it is telling me that a method in my TI assembly cannot be found. This is after I
have converted the DLL file via the TI conversion tool.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why these 2 issues are occuring and how I can resolve this.
    Thanks
    Sean

Transaction Integrator went through a lot of changes in HIS 2013. Here are a few of the key changes:
    - TI Manager has been removed from the product.
    - TI WIP and HIP configuration is now included in a app.config (or web.config) file
    - HIS Designer has been updated to produce XML based meta data definition files. These files have an extension of "hidx" (Host Integration Definition XML).  The hidx file replaces the TI meta data assembly as the media used by TI
    designer.
If you haven't, you should download and install the HIS 2013 SDK from
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41557.
After installing the SDK, you should take a look at the readme files associated with the ApplicationIntegrationStarterGuide sample under C:\Program Files\Microsoft Host Integration Server 2013 SDK v1.0\ApplicationIntegration\WindowsInitiated.
You should start with the Readme_01_Changes.txt file as it explains many of the changes in TI.
When you ran the TIConversionTool, it should have created a HIDX file based on the old HIS 2006 TI assembly. You should be able to open the HIDX file in VS2012 and see the methods and parameters just like you did with the Designer for HIS 2006. It should
have also created a backward compatible DLL in a \bin folder in the output location specified when running the conversion tool.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks...

  • Commands to copy apps to local drive from networkshare and installing via unattend install

    Hi Everyone,
I'm in the process of deploying and testing Windows 8.1 with different settings via unattended answer file. I would like to test out with another settings during unattended install but I'm having a hard time to implement it. Here is the scenario, I've a
server named WDS-DEP-SERV with a hard drive portioned into 2. One is C and other is E. On my E drive, I've a bunch of .exe apps saved. I would like my unattended answer file to pull those .exe apps over to the local drive from network share and install them
as the unattended install takes place. I'm looking for a command that can help me achieve it in a silent mode. During testing before, I was able to have my unattended file to pull VMware tools drivers from network share under RunSynchronousCommand parameter
with domain credentials of the network share and it installed successfully. For example, like this below.
    \\WDS-DEP-SERV\E\Distribution\Drivers\setup64.exe /s /v "/qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress" /l C:\Windows\Temp\vmware_tools_install.log
I was searching online and came across a lot of things but none answered what I'm looking for. Can someone please reply back with the answers on how can I implement it in my unattended file.
    1) To be able to have unattended file pulling drivers from network share, copy them over to local drive during unattended installation process and execute them silently. I need a command to pull this off.
    2) What pass should I use in unattended file?
    3) So far, I've used RunSynchronouscommand  under Windows Deployement Neutral during "Specialize" pass to install just VMware tools. Is there a way to execute all apps in one go instead of doing it one at a time via Synchronouscommand? Please
correct me if I'm wrong, Is it true every time you use Synchronouscommands for various different apps or scripts to pull from network share, you'll have to use network credentials under each and every Synchronouscommands section. Like, if I add 4 SyncrhonousCommands
to the unattended file to pull 4 different apps or scripts from network share, I must provide network share credentials for each of those. Can it be just one time network share credentials under those and they all get pulled and executed during unattended
    install?
Again, please if someone can get back to help me out. I would really appreciate it. Hope to hear from someone soon. Below is my unattended answer file in case someone would like to see it to understand better.

  • How to encrypt/decrypt xml data into, and then out of IDS?

    Hi,
How would we encrypt NPPI information being passed from an unencrypted xml through IDS, and then decrypt it on exit prior to Gendata.
The IDS SDK gave a reference to IDSEncryptionRule(), but insufficient examples of implementation.
It could be something like a single tag element, or even the entire xml, it's just not clear how to make it happen using native IDS methods.
Any thoughts or help to implement this security measure would be most welcome!
    Thanks so much!
Edited by: lodit on Apr 10, 2013 2:56 PM

    Hi there,
You would need to write a custom IDS rule that implements this function. You can refer to the IDS SDK book for info on writing a custom rule. IDSEncryptionRule does operations based on the request state received. Normally when an IDS rule is executed, the rules in the request type definition are executed with the RUN_FORWARD request state. Then they are executed with the RUN_REVERSE request state. An example of why this model is used would be the ATCReceiveFile. On RUN_FOWARD, it writes the contents of file segments in a message to a temporary file. Subsequent rules execute. Then on the RUN_REVERSE, the ATCReceiveFile does clean up routines to remove the temporary file.
So, armed with that knowledge, you can use the IDSEncryptionrule to perform on RUN_FORWARD (decrypt message variables for subsequent processing by Documaker) and then on RUN_REVERSE (encrypt message variables to send back to the client).
It should be apparent at this point that you need to use an encryption/decryption mechanism with the IDS client otherwise you won't be able to prepare the message to send or read the response. On the client side there are functions - consult the examples included in the IDS SDK (DSI_DSK in the installer package).

In SDK version 4.0.0, the cm.jar gets copied only in etc/lib folder. In the target environment it gets distributed by executing initialSetup.sh, which is part of the CM installation.
The structures/cm_jar_structure.xml should be created for the cm.jar distribution. You can see an example of the structure under the pkg scripts folder: etc/cm_jars_structure.xml.example (it just needs to be copied to structures/cm_jar_structure.xml). The cm.jar will then be copied to the correct locations in the application.
But I am missing the file cm_jars_structure.xml.example.
Does some have that file please?

  • [svn] 2847: add code coverage ability to asc build.xml ( clover jar and license required to run)

    Revision: 2847
    Author: [email protected]
    Date: 2008-08-14 15:06:10 -0700 (Thu, 14 Aug 2008)
    Log Message:
add code coverage ability to asc build.xml (clover jar and license required to run)
    Modified Paths:
    flex/sdk/trunk/modules/asc/build/java/build.xml

I ran into this same problem when using ProGuard 4.1 for Java obfuscation. The problem is that there is a space in the path to your JDK/JRE, for example: c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_03. Because there is a space before the word "Files", it isn't working. The solution to to wrap quotes around that particular command-line argument. In ANT, I needed to use single-quotes (because double-quotes were already in use for the XML attribute) such as:
    <java jar="proguard.jar" fork="true" timeout="30000">
    <arg value="-libraryjars"/>
<arg value="'${java.home}/lib/rt.jar'"/> <!-- Notice both double and single quotes used on this line. -->
...rest of the arguments go here...
    </java>
Alternatively, using ProGuard's custom ANT Task, it would look something like (notice the use of double-quotes around the rt.jar location):
    <proguard>
    -libraryjars "${java.home}/lib/rt.jar"
...rest of the arguments go here...
    </proguard>
Anyways, I hope this helps you or anyone else who runs into the same problem. Both of these approaches have worked for me.

  • How to validate XML against XSD and parse/save in one step using SAXParser?

How to validate XML against XSD and parse/save in one step using SAXParser?
I currently have an XML file and XSD. The XML file specifies the location of the XSD. In Java code I create a SAXParser with parameters indicating that it needs to validate the XML. However, SAXParser.parse does not validate the XML, but it does call my handler functions which save the elements/attributes in memory as it is read. On the other hand, XMLReader.parse does validate the XML against the XSD, but does not save the document in memory.
My code can call XMLReader.parse to validate the XML followed by SAXParser.parse to save the XML document in memory. But this sound inefficient. Besides, while a valid document is being parsed by XMLReader, it can be changed to be invalid and saved, and XMLReader.parse would be looking at the original file and would think that the file is OK, and then SAXParser.parse would parse the document without errors.

  • Material/Serial Nbr is "Stuck" in a storage location and can not be moved

We have a situation created by my customers which has lead to a situation I have never seen before.  A material/serial nbr. that is in our Returns location that can not be transfered, issued, removed, or anything via ANY MIGO movement type combination.
    This is what happend:
    - Customer return processed.  Material ABC, Batch XYZ with Serial Nbr. 123 brought into our "RT" StoreLoc.
    - Clerk processed MIGO to do a Stock Transfer of this material to another StoreLoc. (PS).  He entered in the material ABC, batch XYZ, and a bad serial number 1233.  He used a 453 Movement type.
    - After realizing his mistake, he processed MIGO again and processed a GI Xfer posting with a 972 movement type to get rid of the bad material/serial nbr. he had just moved to the PS StoreLoc.
    - Then he tried to redo the Stock Transfer using a 453 Movement type for the material ABC, batch XYZ, and the good serial nbr. 123, but, he gets a "Deficit of BA Ret.blocked prev. 1.000 EA " error message.
    - At this point, he contacts me to ask what can be done.
No matter what we try to do, we can not access this part/serial nbr. combo to move it or issue it or whatever.  It is like a ghost now.  You can see the serial number via IQ03, but you can not do anything with this part/serial nbr.
Help!  Do I need to write an ABAP to physically delete this material/serial nbr from its batch?

    Hi,
First of all, I would assume you used customized movement type 972 to 'get rid of' your material ID with wrong serial number 1233 at PS storage location.  If this is the case, then this posting did not return the stock quantity from PS to your RT storage location and that why when you tried to make another posting (with correct serial number 123), an error message was popped up as you simply do not have available stock.  The solution in this case are -
    1)   Cancel the posting that you made previously with movement type 972.  This cancellation will help return your stock (though with wrong serial number 1233) to PS storage location;
    2)   Cancel the posting that you have posted to move your stock back from PS to RT (again with wrong serial number).  This steps ensure the stock quantity '1' is available at RT storage location;
    3)   Make another stock transfer (with correct movement type 453 and serial number 123) from RT;
    4)   Delete the serial master record 1233 so that it can no longer be used.
    Cheers,
    HT

  • Auto creation of Stor Location and Batch during stock upload via MI09

    Hi Experts!
Please guide me to configure automatic creation of storage location and batch during stock count through mi09.  Eg : I got material A in storage location 1000 and got batch 123 for this material. Then when i want to do the stock count, if i enter the storage location 2000 and batch 122 for this material, then system will auto create this storage location and batch in the master data.
I tried to configure it in OMJJ for storage location but it is not working. Please anyone guide me step by step how to configure it. Storage location and Batch.
    Thanks.
    Crystal.

    hi
    check this
    Create Storage Location Automatically
In this step, you specify whether the automatic creation of storage location data is allowed for goods issues and transfer postings.
This is advisable if you work with negative stocks and a material's first movement may be an outward movement.
Note that the reversal movement for a goods issue, for example, movement type 202 or 262, is not considered as an issue but as a receipt. If you only use the automatic creation of storage location data for reversals of goods issues, you do not have to allow negative stocks.
You have to allow automatic creation per plant first of all. You then have to explicitly allow the creation of storage location data for each movement type.
The storage location data is only created if the quantity is posted to 'standard' storage location stock. It is not created for receipts into a special stock (for example, into sales order stock).
    Default settings
The standard system is set in such a way that the storage location data is created automatically for all types of receipts (goods receipt with/ without reference, stock transfers, intial entry of stock balances, reversal of goods issues, etc.).
    Activities
    1. Enter for each plant whether the automatic creation of storage location data is generally allowed.
    2. Specify the movement types for which storage location data is created automatically.
