Hissing Sound Video Iphone 4

I noticed there was a thread earlier about this that has gone cold... I have a LOAD of hiss on the video recordings. Does anyone have any info about how this might be resolved. Iphone 4 is still new here in Sweden so I dont think this issue has been properly documented yet. Faulty phone or or is it a software thing?
Thank you.

I have the same problem with my video recordings I talked to someone and I have to send in my phone so they can check it out. I think it's a hardware issue bc I send the video to a friend and same out come when they receive the video , good luck buddy call the support line and they can talk you through it so you can get your phone back to normal or they will have to replace it.....

    Hi NaqibZulkifli,
If one of your microphones works fine, but the other doesn't, make sure nothing is blocking or covering the other. For example, make sure the top microphone isn't blocked by a case, cover or anything else.

Make sure nothing is blocking any of the microphones (refer to the pictures below to find your device's microphones). Check for these:
    Dirt or debris
    A screen protector or case
When you're holding your phone next to your ear, make sure you don't block the microphone with your fingers or shoulder and make sure to speak into the microphone

  • My ipad2 has a hissing sound when I watch a recorded video

My ipad2 has a hissing sound when I watch a recorded video.  Please help.  Thank you.

I FOUND THIS ON ANOTHER FORUM,TURNS OUT IT FIXED MY ISSUE!!!
{I also had this problem a couple of weeks ago.  I recorded video on my iphone 4s and there was no sound on playback, but when I synced the video to my MBP, the audio was there.  I was surprised I couldn't find the answer on the internet.  I found some postings where people said to stick a pin in the hole next to the microphone, and they swore that worked.  But, that sounded a little dangerous to try on my new iphone4s.
So I finally went to the genius bar and asked them.  It turned out that the volume buttons on the side of the iphone are set differently for each of the built-in apps that use it.  So while I had the volume set comfortably for cell phone use, it turned out that it was set to zero for video playback within the Camera app.
    As a former user interface designer, it's perplexing to me that the volume buttons DO NOT universally apply to all the apps on the iPhone.  You'd think the Apple manuals or website would tell users, but I couldn't find this in any of their documentation online.}

After updating my iPhone 5 to ios 6.1 I'm getting a hissing sound during calls. Any one else having this problem? Need help

I am having the same issue. I am updating to 6.1.3 to see if that helps. It is really annoying. It seems to vibrate as well as hiss on my ear piece speaker while on a call. I keep looking at the phone thinking maybe another call is coming in.

I am now missing 26 songs from my Iphone. (After resynching it told me 26 songs could not be downloaded and to see Itunes for more info, of course Itunes had no info). So now I am missing 26 songs and cant figure out how to get them back. They play through my laptop and my Ipad but I cant even see them on my Iphone anymore. I'm starting to regret my upgrade to the 4s. Help Apple!
Were these 26 songs purchased directly from the iPhone?  If so, these might be "ghost" entries ... connect your iPhone to iTunes and click on the small arrow to the left of your iPhone's name. Select the iPhone's "Music" category and see if these 26 phantom songs appear grayed out.  If so, that's probably what the message is about. I have the same problem, although for each of my 9 "ghost" songs on my iPhone I have legitimate entries that play just fine.  I can only see these phantom entries on my iPhone when I view its contents through iTunes (and I get the same error message you get).  Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for the error message, but ...
If these 26 songs really are in your iTunes library, are they set to be sync'd to your iPhone? (assuming that you auto-sync) In other words, are you either syncing your entire library, or at least a playlist (or genre) that you auto-sync to?  If they're not part of your auto-sync categories, then they won't go back onto your iPhone until you designate them to auto-sync to your device.
If you manually manage music on your iPhone, can you drag and drop these 26 songs to your iPhone?

tried with blackberry 9700 through RTSP://wan-ip:554/xxxxx also no sound.
i just confused is it suppose to be that way? no sound via mobile streaming? i check the sound from iphone and blackberry and turns out i can hear the sound from video or youtube.
Please advice me and excuse for my english
    Thank youu

Which browser you are using on the phone...?
The cameras are designed around Microsoft and Internet Explorer. You will not get audio, MPEG-4 video and audible alerts with Firefox and Safari.
In addition, this affects phone viewing. Different phones use different and sometimes proprietary browsers. Not all can view the actual camera page from their phone like the iPhone which uses Safari.

  • Hissing sound and loss of display brightness in top left corner, bad HDMI input

've had this monitor for about 3 years. The only problems encountered until yesterday was the occasional power on but no picture. This would be resolved by unplugging the set for a few minutes then plugging it back in.
Yesterday, I noticed the display was slightly darker in the top left quadrant. A few hours later, a hissing sound started coming from the unit (not from the speakers). Also, I have my cable signal sent to my HDMI 1 input, but tv was telling me it wasn't receiving a signal. Switched it to HDMI 3 input and problem resolved. But now I seem to have a useless HDMI input.
I use this monitor for my computer as well, using the HDMI 2 input. As I currently write, the hissing noise has subsided, but still no change in brightness in the dimmer part of the screen.
When the hissing DOES occur, it tends to be louder when the display is showing brighter pictures and videos.
Can anyone give me any insight into what might be wrong? 3 years seems to be short life span if the TV has gone bad.

What's the TV's model number? I'll check if there's any support information about this.

  • NO Audio output Device is installed as well as NO sound, video, or game tab in the device manager

Here is the issue I had with with my Compaq F700 series laptop. The sound was working one day and then not working the next. Over the volume icon there was a big red X and the warning that  No Audio output Device is installed. I also found that there no longer was the sound, video, game tab in the device manager. It had gone missing.
I couldn't use most of the fixes as they require having the sound, video, game tab available and this tab was, as I said missing. I tried reinstalling the sound drivers from the manufacturer’s website as well as using the driver re-install, but at each attempt it would fail as a result of not having any audio devices installed on the computer.
I tried doing the system restore and rolling it back but the problem didn't get resolved. What eventually worked was restoring the system to a MUCH earlier date, like a month prior to the problem. When the restore finished the sound was still not fixed. HOWEVER, the computer OS (WINDOWS 7) needed to re-install a bunch of updates and after the updates were installed, everything was working. I suspect that the original issue was a bad update (the updates didn't install correctly) and that by rolling the system back to a time prior to the bad updates and then re-installing the update was the fix.
With that said, if the restore option doesn’t work or can’t be done I would try looking through the add/remove programs in the control panel and uninstall the most recent system updates, then restart computer and let the updates re-install.
    Good Luck

Only option that I see in the BIOS is under Security.  Audio Device: Hidden or Available. It was set to available and I left it at that. Still no audio.
Really? Nothing? This computer is one year old. Absolutely no reason for this to be happening. What a joke.

  • Hissing sound when connecting with hdmi

    Hello,
I've recently bought a new lcd tv (Sony Bravia) and I thought I'd try connecting my MacBook Air with a HDMI cable.
I bought an expensive cable (it was pretty much the only one I could find "there and then") and also bought a "mini displayport to hdmi" adaptor from Amazon (like the one advertised on the Apple store online). I also connected audio (with a standard RCA audio cable) from the out to my amplifier.
Technically, the connection works but there is a hissing sound (a high pitched continuous noise). When I disconnect one of the two cables (ie: HDMI or audio) the hissing sound goes away. And I've tried a different audio cable and the problem is the same.
I appreciate this may be a difficult one to troubleshoot remotely but any insight would be appreciated!
    thanks
PS: Front Row looks fabulous on a big display!

One possibility is that you open your computer and the television channel first. To some TV, it's no use. Maybe you can first to open the computer until after the TV showing. HDMI generally doesn't support hot swap. BTW, you can also install a *[usb to hdmi adapter|http://www.espow.com/wholesale-usb-multi-display-adapter-for-computer-a dd-on-a-second-monitor.html]*. So, if it's not OK, you can use the dvi to hdmi converter.
Sometimes, this happens in DisplayPort that have HDMI or VGA. This is from the audio chip and high-frequency sound. en,,it was a hard struggle to get a hdmi life. In this condition, we can use a *[usb to hdmi dvi adapter|http://www.espow.com/wholesale-usb-multi-display-adapter-for-computer-a dd-on-a-second-monitor.html]* to make it.

  • Hi! I´m having problems with showing video files in Qlab on my Macbook Air. A sound/video technician told me to "blow out" my Mac. Was told to use  cmd+ r  when restarting. Is this the right way?

Hi! I´m having problems with showing video files in Qlab on my Macbook Air. It started suddenly. Consulted a sound/video technician who told me to "blow out" my Mac. Was told to use cmd+r  when restarting. Is this the right way to clean up my Mac? And is it likely that some kind of bug is causing problems for Qlab to show video files? I´ve already tried with a bunch of different video files and sometimes Qlab plays them and sometimes not. I need the Qlab playlist for a theatre show and only have a week until showtime so starting to really worry. Is there anyone out there who can help?

Your Mac runs maintenance in the background for you.
Command + R gives you access to restore, repair, or reformat the drive using OS X Recovery
No idea why that was suggested.
You may have a third party video player installed that's causing an incompatibility issue.
    Check these folders:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
    /Library/Input Methods/
    /Library/InputManagers/
    /Library/ScriptingAdditions
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
    ~/Library/Input Methods/
    ~/Library/InputManagers/
    ~/Library/ScriptingAdditions
The first four locations listed are in the root-level Library on your hard disk, not the user-level Library in your Home folder. The tilde (~) represents your Home folder.
To access the Home folder in OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and chooseGo > Library.

  • Hissing sound with wi-fi and power adapter connected

This is quite annoying - when the power adapter is connected and I have a w-fi connection to the internet I get intermittent 'hissing' sounds - however when I remove the lead and run off the battery this no longer happens. Does this happen to anyone else?!

What problem are you having ?
If you have the 'this iPad hasn't been backed up' message on screen and you can't remove it try a soft-resetave you tried a reset ? : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
When the iPad has restarted you can then force a backup via Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Back Up Now

  • My sound always makes this funny like hissing sound is that because my screen is cracked?

will some one plz help me find out wether its because my screen is cracked or weather its just the general ipod thats making the sound do a funny kinda hissing sound when i have the volume no matter if its my musicc or wot it does it
some one please explain to me it would be a big help i dont fancy payin for screen fixin to fix ma sound and it been nothig to do with that.

First of, are you playing this through a pair of earphones? If yes, your pair of earphones is probably busted already. Try playing with the plug and see if moving or positioning it would eliminate the hissing sound.
It can also be a matter with the tracks you have especially if they are not original content as there could be ones with low quality which in turn gives some weird sound you hear on the background.

  • Hissing sound through HDMI

Recently, I noticed a hissing noise when I connected my headphones through the audio out of my monitor. That monitor is connected via HDMI on the GPU. Even if I set the volume to zero, I can still hear it. But when I connect the earphone through the Front Panel Audio or the back on the board, no hissing noise is heard. I also tried this with my Inno3D GeForce GT 730 (HDMI) but it didn't have any hissing sound.. I suspect it was the GPU at fault. Any suggestion? I can still ask for a full product replacement.
