Hi,
Please add this request to the ideas section here : Ideas for features in Adobe Muse

Aish

This is how it looks as a temporary site with business catalyst
This it what i get when uploaded to godaddy ftp????

I believe the issue resolved as on my end godaddy uploaded site works fine. This issue basically can happen due to browser issue , javascript is disabled etc or if the css folder is not uploaded properly.

  • Adobe Muse not recognising my FTP host information

I had a friend make me up a site on AdobeMuse. Since then I have the file and Muse and have been editing the site. However when I try and upload to FTP Host Muse tells me my username and password details are incorrect. When my friend tries on his computer he can upload no problem.

What OS is each of you using? Mac or Windows?
What router are you using? Is it one of the new tall AirPort Extreme base stations?

  • Updated to Muse CC 2014 and lost all my "Upload to FTP Host" settings. What gives?

Is there a way to preserve the "Upload to FTP Host" settings as we upgrade from version to version? This is a problem from a workflow [and patience!] perspective.

I have the same issue and same error in Muse 2014.2. I can ftp with FileZilla to the same account and I have tried just about every possible ftp setting. I host at GoDaddy. I really need to get this working so that I can use in browser editing with my client. Please help.
I continually get the error, "Could not sign you in..." despite the login being valid. If you keep hitting resume it will eventually, after many clicks, succeed.
I just got off the phone with GoDaddy. They insist that the issue is with Muse after confirming that ftp works fine with other clients, which it does. Their only suggestion was to perhaps adjust a timeout in Muse.
The old hotfix that is now a dead link, would that be helpful?
I'm stuck. My client wants in browser editing, so I need ftp in Muse for that to work. GoDaddy has been a good hosting provider despite their indifference in this case. I am trying to escalate this within GoDaddy, but I won't hold my breath. Honestly, it has to be something specific to Muse or the other ftp clients wouldn't work. I can use FileZilla or ForkLift, but that isn't a solution that gets me in browser editing. It just points the problem at Muse.
    Any ideas?

  • The latest changes to the function to "Upload to FTP host" has rendered this useless - no point using a program like Muse if I can not easily and automatically upload the work to the webserver!

The latest changes to the function to "Upload to FTP Host" has rendered this useless - no point using a program like Muse if I can not easily and automatically upload the work to the webserver!  I use BlueHost webhosting that has a primary domain and I have several domains with that account (as sub-domains or folders on this server) - with past versions of Muse when uploading pages it simply opened an alert window to tell me (what I already know) that the website I was uploading does not point to the primary domain BUT NOW Muse tries to create a new separate folder in the root directory of the primary domain - completely ignoring the directory path I am giving it - useless!  Why make these senseless changes to the program - and so often - very frustrating it is like amateur ware!.

    Hi Stephen,
There are some issues with the upload to ftp via Muse, which the engineering team is aware of and those will be fixed in a future build of Muse. At this point the work around would be to export the html from Muse and then upload via some third party ftp client like filezilla.
I will recommend that you keep an eye on our release notes page to get more updates on it - Release notes | Adobe Muse CC

  • Can i use "Upload to ftp host" from muse to upload to BC?

Im trying to host an additional website on the same adminconsole in BC, on a different domain name. From "Publish" in muse it doesn't look possible to upload an additional website to BC. So i tried to upload from the "Upload to ftp" in muse but it alerts as a wrong host name (i followed the info from file manager in BC)

You can try export as html and then using any FTP client you can upload the site to any specific folder in file manager system on BC end.

  • I am unable to edit my websites in Adobe Muse CC In-Browser Editing

I can not use the edit function in Adobe Muse browser created my website, http://www.revistahit.esy.es
is not hosted on Adobe Business Catalyst but hosted on a third party (HOSTINGER).
When prompted to enter credentials for the celebration,
I get this message on the CC edition Adobe Muse Web browser:
"The FTP server configured for this site does not seem to match the address you entered.
Be sure to use the FTP Host Muse Publish to publish the site directly to the final location and entering the editing system in the browser with the same user. "
Does anyone else have this problem?

Did Muse display a Domain Validation failure warning when you uploaded your site?

  • Unable to sign and use In-browser Editing for Adobe Muse CC 2014?

I'm unable to sign in and use the in-browser editing feature for my Adobe Muse created website, http://foreseeson.com
which is not hosted on Adobe Business Catalyst, but hosted on a third-party (TUCOWS) hosting service provider.
When prompted to enter hosting credentials (which do work -- I've verified this by successfully using the Connect to FTP Host feature within Adobe Muse),
I'm given this message on the Adobe® Muse™ CC In-Browser Editing website:
"The FTP server configured for this site doesn't seem to match the URL you entered.
Make sure that you use the Upload to FTP Host feature in Muse to publish the site directly to the final location and that you are logging on to In-Browser Editing with the same user."
is anyone else having this problem?
    thank you
    Hui

    Hi
I am also unable to access the Inbrowser editing page now for 3 days. It won't open up, either in my clients site https://inbrowserediting.adobe.com/login/www.edc.org.za or another client also: https://inbrowserediting.adobe.com/login/www.calgan.co.za or just as plain https://inbrowserediting.adobe.com
I have tried it in 3 different browsers: Firefox, Chrome and Safari and it won't open up the site.
This is becoming a big problem for me as clients need to update remotely.
I used to be able to access these sites a few weeks ago and have not changed anything since. I don't have any special characters in the password and my IP is not being blocked. I am able to connect with FTP with Muse and with Dreamweaver. The sites are enabled for Inbrowser Editing under properties.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Using Upload to FTP feature hangs, rendering In-browser editing feature unusable. Is this a known issue?

Verified FTP settings with my hosting at Godaddy. Adobe Muse CC (2014) says it can't sign in with the credentials provided. Therefore, I can't use the new In-browser editing feature. Is this a known issue?

There is a default port, for most of the FTP sverver, is 21(or 20 maybe), then you can access FTP with " ftp.your_domain".
But for some reasons, the hosting providers change the port to other number, 2100 for example, and the FTP address will be "ftp.your_domain:2100". In this case, you can upload your site to FTP in Muse, but u cann't login your FTP in Adobe® Muse™ CC In-Browser Editing ,because you cann't input the port number (:2100).

  • Upload to FTP host JUST WON'T WORK!

Hello everybody, I'm having trouble with connecting with my FTP via Muse.
I can do it just fine via any other FTP software (Cyberduck for example)
I need some help here cos I really want it working inside Muse.
Server, User & Password are correct....(otherwise it wouldn't work on the other platforms).

Copied from Abhishek.G's July 17th post in Muse 2014 Crashes During FTP Upload
    Hi,
We have released Adobe Muse CC 2014 (Hotfix 1) that provides a workaround for a specific issue reported on this forum post. The issue is the incompatibility of the Extended Passive (EPSV) mode with certain FTP hosting providers. It manifests as a hang as soon as you click Next on the FTP Login dialog.
If you are experiencing this issue, please update the application to apply the hotfix. See notes on updating at: https://forums.adobe.com/community/muse
Additionally, you will need to download the file http://muse.adobe.com/assets/ftp2014fix.zip, unzip it, and save the contained file ftpPrefs.xml to the following location:
On Windows: %appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Muse CC\2014.0 (You can type this in the Path bar at the top of the Windows Explorer window)
On Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Adobe Muse CC/2014.0 (You can type this in the Go To Folder dialog using Shift+Command+G)
After performing the above steps, please launch Muse and try Upload to FTP again.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

  • The inbuilt load to ftp-host does not work

When I use this alternative in muse all the files are not upploaded or mismatched. When I save as HTML an upload the files by a third party FTP-client it always work.
The problem occurs only with one of my websites.
Does muse have a working directory that perhaps is corrupted?

Select the "All Files" option during the next FTP upload, then go back to using the default "Modified Files" option.
Also, if you alter the contents of your site using an external FTP client, Muse will be unaware of those changes so in order to get things back in sync you'll need to use the "All Files" option.

  • Muse jsassert error: calling selctor function type error HELP!

i upload my site within ftp adobe muse ' and also tried to upload it tru 3rd party program ' and i get this message when i try to open in in microsoft IE ' and google crohme browser
muse jsassert error: calling selctor function type error unble to get proprty int undifined null refrence
    HELP
    thanks

The file musesprypanels.js contains bogus extra code at the end that's not part of what Muse generates. It's unclear whether this extra content is present because of some problem on your machine or if it was introduced as part of the upload process. I recommend re-exporting to a new folder (so all files are re-generated) and then re-upload at least the scripts folder. You could also open the index.html file in the local export folder to see whether the JavaScript error is reproducible with your local files. That would indicate whether the corruption to this particular file occurred locally or only on the server.

  • Scrambled layout in muse when viewed online

It all looks fine in layout and preview mode, but Safari scrambles the layout putting various pieces all over the page.

How are you uploading your site?
If you use Muse's publish or FTP upload, Muse uploads all required files. If you are uploading the files yourself using a 3rd party FTP upload client, you'll have to be sure to upload all the files exported by Muse or you may see scrambled content if you miss some files.
