Historic changes to the Task
Good morning,
Working with Oracle CRM only 2 months, and have a routine in the company that I would like to migrate to the tool of CRM.
What I have is an Excel spreadsheet in which the programming weekly record of our vendors, and other spreadsheet where record the actions carried out in the same week.
My question is whether it is to log on tasks actions planned and postponed the date when I maintain a history of these changes or perform the action I convert it to compromise.
Thanks
OK, I understand what you meant, but realized that I expressed bad.
As posted at the beginning of the topic, I have two spreadsheets I register a EXPECTED activities for the week, and one I register the PERFORMED.
In Siebel I register the tasks as if they were my activities EXPECTED, imagining that my seller fails to do this activity and have to postpone. As I know if he postponed the task and when it was their original date?
It held the situation in the history?

We had a SCEP ADR applying definition updates to All Systems, we applied the ADR to a different collection, removed all the SCEP updates to All Systems and successfully re-imaged the workstation. Following article was of great help in identifying the problem

Changes in the master data of assets
Hello Guys,
Is there some transaction or table in the assets accounting, where are recorded the historical changes in the master data?
Thanks a lot.
Best regards,
Rodrigo SoaresHi Rodrigo,
To add on Bernard's post, after selecting the asset using tcode AS03 and choose Environment tabe in the top of the SAP screen - you will have two options to choose
a) on asset
b) on field
The first option will entire list of changes happened on the assets and in the second option you can get the list of changes for any particular field in the asset master data.

Lock Role for Changes till the transport is released
Issue : since roles are managed by multiple security administrators, changes are moving against the sequence.
We have multiple security administrators, is there a way to lock a role for changes until the task/ req is released.
Example Scenario :
Security admin 1 : if there is a change request to add SU01 to the role: Z_TESTROLE, Security admin adds it and creates a Change request but does not release it.
Security Admin 2 : the security admin 2 will get a Change req for the same role Z_TESTROLE to add a tcode PFCG to it. Security admin 2 does his job and moves his transport now even though the first transport does not move the change made by the first security admin moves with the transport for the second admin.
We have multiple security administrators, is there a way to lock a role for changes until the task/ req is released.Hi all,
Thanks for your responses.we follow a change procedure but I guess its just needs to be refined. Everybody figured out that this is a coordination issue but I was asked to research on any technical ability to handle this.
Here is a brief overview of our process :
1) BPO approves the change
2) Role owner support manager approves the change
then the Change request comes to 3)Security Manager for her approval.
I feel from Sox prespective the 3rd approval in not manadatory.
I'm I correct ??? where can I find Sox guide for SAP ?
Recap of the incident:
1)A change ticket is created for the t-code creation and a task is created for the role in which this report is to be added.
State I role Z_TESTROLE is with ZMMR0025
After adding the new report ZMMR0055 the old report ZMMR0025 is removed.
State II
The role Z_TESTROLE has tcode ZMMR0055
now this is tested in development system by the requestor.
Before this goes into PRD via QA a newsflash is sent to all the endusers (so that they know which t-code to use)
Meanwhile if another security administrator works (suppose adds a new tcode or changes an authorization) on this while the role is in state II changes made by Admin 1 are transported along with the second change.
State II + new changes = State III
When the role reaches PRD in state III result is the end user losses access to the required functionality ZMMR0025 before ZMMR0055 is made available.
I hope Im clear , please let me know if I need to be more specific on any part.
I appreciate your help.
regards,
Salman. -
Since recent updates of iOS, I have noticed when using my iPad that my apps close automatically when I have to leave the room or am otherwise distracted for a few minutes. It is sometimes time consuming to sign back in and get back to the task where i left off. Is there a setting I can change so it will keep the apps open until I am ready to close them? Thanks for your help.
Did you have this problem before Restoring you iPad?
If you did then did you restore with a backup. You may have reinstalled something that is conflicting in this back up
If not then sounds like either something went array with the clean install or a hardware issue.
I know it's long winded but have you tired a clean install then downloading the apps again?

How do I change the underlying query for the task board (and backlog board) on TFS Preview
All,
We work with multi-area projects, each area representing a significant component within the project with its own release/iteration cycle. i.e. Several areas may be active at once, each with different iterations.
When we look at the task board these take no account of the area being worked on. What I need to do is to be able to change the query behind these boards to point to a particular release/iteration for a particular area.
Unfortunately there is no drop down selection on these pages to see this automatically so I need to be able to change the underlying query that populates these boards to get the the area and release/iteration that I need.... but I can't find where these
are.
Using multiple areas is actually highly frustrating with TFS Preview as it doesn't seem geared up at all to make it easy to switch between them... are we doing something wrong?
I think I can do this by changing the current iteration - but I can't work out how to do this either once an iteration for a particular area has started.
Can anybody help?
ThanksIt is not possible to modify the query behind the task board. If I understand you correctly, you would like to filter the task board by area path.
In TFS 2012 we have repurposed the area path field to be the field that determines the team you are working on. We are continuously improving our product and being able to filter your task is one of the improvements that we are thinking of.
Sorry I can't help you better than this for the moment.
Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help.
Hi Ewald,
We have a similar problem, see the thread "Best approach for multi-team/multi-projects." on this forum. I'm hopping you can help, since so far the different answers doesn't help.

When moving a task in Project 2010 I've found task IDs also change. This is not the desired result. If a task is moved for whatever reason the task ID should not change. It should be consistent to the task. For example, I've created
a new project with five tasks as shown on the left below.
I've numbered the tasks to coincide with the task ID as originally created. If I move Task 4 to be after Task 1 the moved task and all subsequent tasks are renumbered as shown on the right below.
This is not the desired result. The expectation is the task ID is unique to the task when the task is created. It should never change after the fact. I view the task ID as the identity field for the task. In database terms this means
it NEVER EVER arbitrarily changes.
A similar problem occurs if a task is inserted between two tasks. If I insert task 6 after task 2 the task IDs are renumbered as shown.
Again, the task ID should never have been arbitrarily changed. This creates a referencing problem because task 6 should have had the next available higher task ID which should have been 6 and all the tasks after task 6 would not have been renumbered.
The only work around to this behavior is to create a custom number field called "Task ID" and manually assign numbers to each task. This makes referencing the tasks easy when communicating with team members. Using the built-in task
id as a reference risks the task ID being lost at any point and confusion for team members.
Is there a way to turn-off task ID renumbering when a task is moved or inserted?
Ideally any inserted task should be the next higher available task ID.
ThanksHi,
not sure where to find original post. In RDB, it is MSP_EpmTask_UserView.TaskClientUniqueId.
Sorry, if there are now 2 answers.
Regards
Barbara

How to change the Task title on runtime?
Hi experts again,
My customer is struggling with something very simple: how to customize the Task title. You can certainly create an argument in the task, use Data Associations to map the argument, and then use XPath expression to get the value from the task payload and set it to the task title. That works fine. But it only executes once, when the process instance 'enters' in the task.
So once the Task is created, you can see the custom title in the Workspace.
Now, can we change the Title on runtime? I thought you could get the task payload, update the title and finally update the task but this does not seem to work. Here's the code that does it.
In this example, the priority is updated successfully but not the title.
FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
String tskId = (String)context.getApplication().evaluateExpressionGet(context,
"#{pageFlowScope.bpmWorklistTaskId}", String.class);
IWorkflowServiceClient workflowSvcClient = WorkflowService.getWorkflowServiceClient();
ITaskService taskSvc = workflowSvcClient .getTaskService();
ITaskQueryService wfQueryService = workflowSvcClient.getTaskQueryService();
IWorkflowContext wfContext = WorklistUtil.getWorkflowContextForASelectedTask();
Task myTask;
try {
myTask = wfQueryService.getTaskDetailsById(wfContext, tskId);
Element payloadElem = myTask.getPayloadAsElement();
System.out.println("****************" + myTask.getTitle());
System.out.println("****************" + myTask.getPriority());
myTask.setTitle("Task Title 3");
myTask.setPriority(2);
myTask.setPayloadAsElement(payloadElem);
taskSvc.updateTask(wfContext, myTask);
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
The results which printed out in console after execute above code twice.
****************Task Title 1
****************3
****************Task Title 1
****************2You can use the appropriately named Window Title property. In your project you can define conditional disable symbols (right-click on the project node and select Properties) and then use a conditional disable structure in your code. However, these symbols apply to the entire project, not to a specific executable. Thus, a better route would be to use the executable name (also accessible via a property), if possible, or some other distinction between the executables. What makes the executables different?

Process Context changes (.XSD) are not refreshed in the Task Mapping
Hello,
I'm adding new attributes to the .XSD but the changes are not refreshed in the mapping section of the tasks. How can I refreshed these changes?
Best Regards
SUHi,
You can manually reimport DO xsd by :
Your BPM Project > ProcessModeling > Data Types folder > XSD Files folder > Right click xsd file> Reimport.
You can manually reimport WS wsdl by :
Your BPM Project > ProcessModeling > Service Interfaces folder > WSDL Files folder > Right click wsdl file> Reimport.

How to revert back the changes of a task in a change request ?
Hello experts,
Our ABAP team made a script and they have locked a change request for it. Whatever changes made in that script are directly written in that change request through different tasks. Yesterday they opened the script and found that some of the data in that script is missing. The task entry shows that the data is still there which was missing, but I am not able to find out how to revert back those changes which are there in the task, so that the missing data can be brought back again in the script? Can someone please tell me how to solve this problem ?
Regards,
SanketHi,
If modification assistant was on while making the deletion, then the comment should exist for data which was deleted.
Else use the version history to display and recover the lost version.
For eg SE38 -> Give report name -> Display. Utilities -> Versions -> Version Management
Should show all the TRs which changed the object and can compare/restore versions too.

The task being changed is stale. (UpdateTask issue2)
This issue is a continuation of my earlier issue
How to invoke TaskService updateTask from within BPEL Process
I have the updateTask working fine as long as I do not save the task from the Worklist app. If I do the following
a) Initiate Task
b) Got to my Worklist and make changes to the editable fields and hit the save button.
c) Have the same BPEL process after 30 sec wait invoke mergeAndUpdateTask
I get the following error
<fault>
-<staleObjectFault xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/taskService">
-<part name="payload">
-<staleObjectFault xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/taskService">
<faultInfo>The task being changed is stale. It was changed from its current state already
</faultInfo>
</staleObjectFault>
</part>
</staleObjectFault>
</fault>
Now I know that my current state of the task is stall within the BPEL instance since the BPEL instance has the response variable returned by the initiateTask method. But how do I then go about merging and updating a Task since this can happen in the real world scenario where a user is updating a Task in his/her queue and My BPEL process which initiated the Task receives an event from another BPEL process and I need to update the Task, but in the mean time the worker may have changed the contents of the Task.
Remember I want to orchestrate this using BPEL notations no J2EE, as I already know how to do that.
Any suggestions are welcome. In the mean time I will do my own research.

Jayesh

I just bought a Dell Precision M3800 laptop - screen res 3840 x 2160 when I open photoshop the task bar and tools and layers etc are in 4pts size I changed my % in my image in my control panel and if I go to open file the drop down boxes are in good pt sizes how do I make the layers and tool bars bigger? Please help@
Windows will scale applications display or windows will not scale application display depending on how the application is coded. Photoshop is coded in a way that its display is not scaled by windows. Photoshop knows about your displays high pixel count not its resolution so it uses its pixels however it does not scale its UI to make it usable on your display. Other application let Windows scale their display output. For example Microsoft default for is Surface Pro 3, 216 ppi display is to scale applications display up 150% so the surface pro 3 display which has 2160x1440 pixels a 216 ppi resolution look like at display with the user is using with 1440x960 pixels. The Application works like the display is 1440x960 and Windows scale those pixels to the displays using the displays 2160x1440 pixels the effectively changing it resolution to 144ppi rather than the actual 216ppi.
The reg update and external manifest file effectively tells photoshop its working on such a size display display some number of pixel wide and some number photoshop uses that as the display size in turn Windows scale those pixels to use the displays 2160x1440 pixels efector lowing its 216ppi resolution. Photoshop CC 2014 2X UI would be like using windows 200% option applications would be shown the are working on a display 1080x720 instead of the Surface Pro 3 2160x1440. Note that 1080x720 does not meet PS requirement of 1024x768. Photoshop UI would not fit on the Surface Pro 3 display..
Since you have a 4k display if you have CC 2014 you can use its 2x UI effectively Photoshop will be running on a 1920x1080 display and have half the resolution of you 4K display 3840x2160 pixels four native pixels are use as a single pixel. 1920x1080 pixels exceed PS requirement. -
hi my daughter did some changes in the setting,now i am getting voice support for every task i am doing,plus cannot toggle between the pages,unable to do the changes as not able to toggle to reset option either,pls help.
You probably have the Voiceover accessibility feature turned on. It's difficult to navigate as you need to use specific voiceover gestures. The easirest thing to do is connect the phone to iTunes. Select the Summary pane and click the "Configure Universal Access..." button. In the window that opens,select "Neither" in the seeing options and click "OK".

I loaded what I guess is the new version of Firefox and it completely changed my whole task bar. I don't have my Norton Logins with stored passwords, and it's hard to find my favorites. Help get it back to how it was.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data. See https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+Firefox
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles -
How to change the element of container in the task
Hello,all.
I am new for workflow,today i find a new problem:when i finish a activity in the template,the element of container in the task can not be changed. Why? And how to change?
Thanx,Hi Nemo,
What I understood from your query is as follows -
You have worked with Task activity in a workflow template. Now you want to change the element in Task Container, which you are not allowed to do so.
If above is your query, kindly find following solution -
1. You must have used some BOR object in your task activity.
1. If you have used automatic binding between the method of BOR and workflow task then automatically the container elements are created. Now if you want to change these container elements then recommended is to change them first in method of BOR and again link the method. Let these elements generate automatically as part of binding.
2. If you don't have any binding between your BOR method and Task container then, you don't have any elements created automatically. So you can directly create new elements inside task.
Hope this helps you.
PS If the answer solved your query, plz close the thread by marking it solved and rewarding each reply.
