Hitting the 20Mb upload limit
Our respondents are hitting the 20MB upload limit: is there any way of increasing the restriction? We are limiting each to one 20MB item per 'question' but we still get problems with uploaded scans being refused. (Ironically, they're Adobe PDFs that are causing the problem)
Hi YTKO,
Forms Central only support files size up to 20 MB and there isn't any way to increase it.
Thanks,
Vikrantt Singh

I cannot authorize my new computer in iTunes because I hit the 5 device limit. However, I cannot deauthorize the old one because it's gone. I also cannot use the deauthorize all computers button because I did last year when I was replacing computers. Is there any other way of deauthorizing computers that no longer exist?

If you no longer have, or access to, the computer(s) you want to deauthorise,
Log in to iTunes, go to "view your account info" on the itunes store, deauthorise all five,
(Please Note: this can only be done Once every 12 months)
Then re-authorize your current Computer(s) one at a time..

Hitting the 32k size limit with Keyword Expansion in packages
Hi!
I am hitting the 32k size limit with Keyword Expansion (KE). It is hardcoded in the procedure jr_keyword.analyze_mlt.
Are there any plans to get rid of this limit, so package bodies with size > 32000 bytes can be expanded?Well, I am making progress. With a combination if utl_tcp.get_line() - to trap the header and utl_tcp.get_text - to get the data at 32K chunks - which I then put into a CLOB or VARRAY of VARCHAR2; I can get as much data as is sent.
The problem now is speed.
It takes over 60 seconds to get 160K (5 32K chunks) of data when I put it into the VARRAY of VARCHAR2, and it takes even longer if I use dbms_lob.write() and dbms_lob.writeappend() to store the data.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there another way?
Thank You for any Help.

Is there a way to disable the 20mb download limit in iOS 5?
I currently have an Iphone 4 which I upgraded to iOS 5. I have an unlimited data plan so I am not concerned with going over any limits. I know you can now enable High Quality video over 3g and was wondering if there is a way to disable the 20mb download limit for things like apps or itunes?
Any help appreciated! Thanks! The 20 mb limit is not technical because
using my iPhone tethering I have downloaded
much bigger files. Apple has done this to protect
users from heavy carrier charges for unintentional
usage. Apple should allow the user to
over rule this limit through a setup option.
I don't subscribe to a broadband service, I use my
3G service for both phone and laptop. Its working
fine for me except for this irritation.
I hope this change comes is in a near release
of ios.
btw the battery life has truly improve after

And will I have to pay for an update storage limit for iCloud because I take iTunes Match?
No, your iCloud storage is seperate. I have 42GB of music in my itunes match account and I still have almost all of the 5GB of storage space free. You only have to pay for itunes match once and as long as you don't have more than 25,000 songs in your itunes, you are good to go.

Hello, I'm new to this FYI. I recently (tonight) submitted my app using the application uploader. It seemed to go through just fine, but after it was done I was hit with a bunch of error messages from the application uploader. However, I nevertheless recieved a confirmation from Apple saying my app was waiting for review...so does this confirmation mean that the upload was actually successfull? Or do I need to delete the binary and re-submit?
Status is also "waiting for review" along with a yellow circle. the binary details all look ok including the .zip file i uploaded. now that i think about it, maybe the error messages were in response to my second upload. because i thought the first one failed, but now I see the .zip is the proper name.

How do I change the attachment size limit in Calendar Server 6.3, UWC, IWC?
How do I properly increase or decrease the attachment size limit with Calendar Server and all supported user interfaces to it such as WCAP, UWC (Communications Express) and IWC (Convergence)? From my experience with the Outlook Connector, there seems to be some limit imposed by cshttpd on the size of a file upload (I believe I actually got an HTTP error code back on the wcap request indicating something was too big, sorry I don't have it handy, I'll have to re-test). Additionally, it seems UWC imposes additional limits (Example: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-4440/6n6jfgcjh?l=en&a=view&q=fileSizeHardLimit) but I can't seem to get those to work at all. I found many different web.xml related to UWC and I'm not sure which one to change, I tried a couple but had no success because UWC would always report this error if I uploaded between 4-5 megs: com.iplanet.jato.util.WrapperRuntimeException
Root cause = [java.io.IOException: Request cancelled because file input field
"importFile" size is over the configurable limit of 4194304 bytes; see filter init
parameter fileSizeHardLimit]
And it would complain about requestSizeLimit I think if it was over 5 megs, claiming that limit was 5242880. IWC gives a generic error when the upload is too big and rejects it.
I fear that a 4 meg limit will be too imposing and of limited value, so I would either like to raise it, or consider lowering it to 0 bytes so attachments cannot be used at all. I have been looking high and low for information on how to do this and all I can find is the UWC examples. I plan to support the Outlook Connector, UWC, and IWC so the limits should ideally be the same across each. Some of the Exchange data we wish to import does have some attachments so it would be good to continue support for that. I did see some other posts about quota RFEs but at this point I am not concerned about the disk consumption. Can anyone help? Thanks. Please let me know if there is any more information I can provide. I am running SCS6u1 on Solaris 10 SPARC.Fred@egr wrote:
Thanks!!! This is working with IWC and I am pretty sure it will work with Outlook. I didn't think to look at config options for mshttpd since I don't have it installed and ics.conf doesn't list the http.service.maxmessagesize and service.http.maxpostsize by default.http.service.maxmessagesize is only relevant to mshttpd, not cshttpd. service.http.maxpostsize applies to both.
UWC is still limiting me though; I'm sure I can reconfigure UWC if I just know which file to edit and if I need to redeploy anything. I'm using the same install paths as the SCS6 Single Host example and I'm not sure which the "uwc-deployed-path" is supposed to be. Again, thanks. If you have deployed UWC/CE to Application Server you would edit the following file and restart application-server:
/opt/SUNWappserver/domains/domain1/generated/xml/j2ee-modules/Communications_Express/web.xml

How can I increase the file size limit for outgoing mail. I need to send a file that is 50MB?
You can't change it, and I suspect few email providers would allow a file that big. Consider uploading it to a service like Dropbox, then email the link allowing the recipient to download it.

How to deal with Upload limit of Document Library
Hi
We are working on SharePoint Online (Office365). We have a requirement to upload files of 20GB+ size. I have come across a limitation that we can't upload files to document library whose size is more than 2GB. Please provide an clarification on this
limitation.
We want our user to upload files up to 20GB. Can we give him an option to upload file using SP Designer. If we can create a folder an user can open site in SPD then they can upload files. Is there any limitation of file size in folder.
If this is not the feasible option kindly suggest us any other way by which we can fulfill this requirement.
Regards
Vikrant KaushalVikrant,
Please see the SharePoint Online Boundaries and Limits document
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/office365-sharepoint-online-enterprise-help/sharepoint-online-software-boundaries-and-limits-HA102694293.aspx#_SharePoint_Online_for_2
The 2Gb file limit is a hard limit that cannot be exceeded in either on-premises or cloud based versions of SharePoint due to a SQL/File system limitation.
The best bet that you can do is look at using a storage location based in perhaps Azure and then linking to this location from Office 365. Unfortunately you can't use search crawl for none Office 365 locations, so I would think about using a links list to
surface the large files in SharePoint as a link item, thus making them available to search etc.

Can anybody provide the SQL query to find the files uploaded in a particular folder?
Hi All,
Can anybody provide the SQL query to find the documents (document name) uploaded in a particular folder? While clicking on folder in
GUI I'm hitting the Timeout error. I would like to find the files uploaded into this folder from SQLPLUS.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
With best regards,
NevinNevin,
Be great if we could know the version of Portal. For Rel. 1, here's the query
select id,masterthingid from wwv_things
where siteid = &site
and cornerid = &corner
&site - Content Area id
&corner - Folder id
if you don't know the folder id, use
select id from wwv_corners where siteid = &site
and name = &folder
Hope this helps. I have run into this situation before. Usually, the culprits were
one of the following:
1. Junk Characters in description of item (caused due to Copy-Paste)
2. Special Characters in the File name

Guest wireless in 7.0.98 hitting the splash page
I have set up Guest wireless before with my own customized splash screen for local authentication on version 5.xx on a 4404 controller.
I have the same task again but this time with a 2201 controller and the latest ios.
Try as hard as I can i cannot get a guest wireless user to hit the splash page where it gives the certificate warning or past that to the login box.
Is there some subtle difference in the set up with 7.0.98. I did notice that when setting up the DHCP scope for the 7.0.98 i had to use the DHCP server IP as the managment interface. On my last try with 5.x I used the 192.168.80.1 address (the guest WLAN) So there is a difference right there.
Anyway the clients get an IP address so no issue there but i cannot get the cert warning up let alone the splash page. Eveidently there is a tick box I am missing. I wouldnt mide but having done this a few times before I am really stumped. I have wiped the config and started again going through my old notes step by step plus digging out the cisco documentation.
If there any debugging I can stick on please let me know.
Thanks,
NeilThank you :-) Hopefully I have captured everything you need.

Hi everyone.
In WSE 2012 R2 it is possible to upload up to 2 Gb at once. Is it possible to change this value? Maybe somewhere in registry?
Thanks for help.Hi,
Based on your description, please refer to the following similar question. And check if it’s helpful.
File size upload limit
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/0f961d6b-6074-460d-b3db-e71fbc4689ff/file-size-upload-limit?forum=winserveressentials
Hope this helps.

Question re how iPlanet Directory Server applies the Look Through Limit.
I have a question on how iPlanet Directory Server applies the lookthrough limit...
I am running an LDAP search on a 4.13 directory. The search filter is:
"(&(rtrdaMaturityDate>=20020128)(rtrdaMaturityDate<=20020130))"
rtrdaMaturityDate is an int, and indexed with pres,eq,sub
There are 244680 entries where rtrdamaturityDate>=20020128
383005 entries where rtrdaMaturityDate<=20020130
484 entries which satisfy both conditions
When the query is run as Directory Manager it just hangs (presumably it would complete eventually).
When run as another user it gives a size limit error. The size limit and lookthrough limit on the directory are both 5000 . As the matching number of entries doesn't exceed the size limit, I think perhaps it is the lookthrough limit causing the problem...
It looks as if it treats each part of the filter separately, building an candidate list for each, giving an error if both reach the look through limit. i.e. it does not realise that both parts of the filter could be treated together.
Is this correct ?
This theory is born out by the fact that if I change the value so the filter would logically return only the highest few values, the search works (i.e. as if the <= filter condition hit LTL, but the >= did not).
Also, if I add another condition to give "(&(rtrdaIssuerBgNid=4403)(rtrdamaturityDate>=20020128)(rtrdaMaturityDate<=20020130))" then the search eventually correctly returns a single entry. (IssuerBgNid=4403 on its own gives 1004 entries).
Can I therefore assume that a seach will only work if at least one condition in the filter gives a candidate list with less entries than the look through limit?
Any advice on how to implement a range search like this would also be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave. The lookthrough limit is reached when the resulting candidate list contains more entries than the limit...
Lookthrough limit has been implemented specifically to for Range filters (and OR filters) to avoid consuming too many resources.
For your particular problem, you can increase the lookthrough limit... but it will affect all users and searches.
Note that iPlanet Directory Server 5.x does provide a per User LookThrough Limit (and other limits as well), therefore you could just increase the lookthrough limit for the specific users performing these searches.

Ludovic. -
What's with the 20mb cap on 3G downloads?
I just got my 64 gb iPad 3G and when tried to update some of my apps it said "app over 20mb please connect to a wifi network or update application on your computer with iTunes" or something along those lines. I signed up for the unlimited data plan with AT&T and I just would like to know why there is this storage cap when I am paying $30 a month for Internet on my iPad.
Unfortuantly, Apple being Short sited, put this limit into the system, They were a bit Anal on this, due to possible reasons that they needed AT&T to help with their role out and acceptance criteria. They forget that many places have unlimited option on 3G, Like here in Hong Kong, I can stream Gigs of Radio through my 3G, but can I down load a 20meg app store? can I ek.
But there is a work around....
I put the 3G sim in my pocket wifi, and I can download the app. So this stupid limit is mindless. I heard that whe they get the Jailbreak, this limit will be removed, but I won't jailbreak, I prefer the system in its unaltered state. I might even suggest that the limit is applied by the App store and not really an OS limit, so they can remove it at any time, but just like any Typical Amarican Company, They can't think for over seas markets, nore Average users, infact, Apple has become the big brother they originally claimed to be fighting.
