Hiya i have a slight problem with my iphone 4

Hy all
I have a little problem, my iphone 4 is water damaged and i know i need to get the dock unit and speaker changed as they dont seem to work cos theres no sound but it does activate the phone when plugged into a power source. I have changed for a new battery and the phone works fine but when the battery is connected and the phone is either on or off it gets extremely hot by the battery connector. As soon as i unplug the battery and turn the phone on by plugging into a power source the heat dissapears. I have 2 iphone 4 batterys and cant imagin they are the problem but could well be, was just wondering if anybody has had a similar problem. And yes iv done all the resetting and closing programs and things.
Could it be the motherboard? Although iv had that out and its clean as a whistle

The iPhone is not user servicable. You are walking around with a fire hazard in your pocket. Find a competent repair shop or purchase a new phone. Since you've opened it, it is no longer eligible for the $149 out of warranty replacement you could have gotten from Apple.

If I've understood you correctly then the ALLEXCEPT function may be what you're after and it could be applied in a similar way to the following...

Hello, do you mean Download?
In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the message?
Then click the Show Details button & Check again.

This support document http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4451 relates to the 3194 error. Generally this error has to do with trying to install an iOS that is not the most current. Maybe you tried to jailbreak the phone, or downgrade iOS? Any of this apply to you?

HT4623 I have a big problem with my IPhone 4 since I've updated to IOS 6.0.1.

I've got a problem with my IPhone 4 since I've updated to IOS 6.0.1. After the call I'd like to end the call but the picture on the screen becomes magnified
so that you cannot see anything and the screen is not reacting. I need to restart the phone. But 7 or 8 times daily to restart the phone is not really convenient.
Has got anybody the same problem? How can I go back to IOS 5 ? Before the update I was a happy user of IPhone.

Downgrading your ios is unsupported by apple. Go to settings, general, accesibility, zoom off..?

I have a frustrating problem with my iPhone 5 post ios8 installation. The ring tone won't sound when phone is locked/switched off, although the vibration does work. I think it has something to do with "do not disturb"

Hi, I have a frustrating problem that seems to have occurred post iOS 8 installation. When my iphone5 is switched off the ring tone fails to sound i only get the vibration. If i am using my phone and a have an incoming call then the ring tone works as normal. I think it has something to do with "do not disturb" ... i see from the menu in "do not disturb" that under the heading "silence" there are two options "always" and "only when the phone is locked" This does not seem to make sense as i have to choose one or the other!
If anybody can help advise me on this problem i would be very grateful.

So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.

I have a slight problem with aiport extreme

i have 2 airport extremes, one as the main base for internet and one up stairs for my tv and whatever. i have 3 5Ghz devices, one is xbox 360 (works great) 13" macbook pro (works great) then alienware m17x with a broadcom a/g/n card on Win 7. (not working to well. only connects on a 2.4Ghz when extend wireless is checked) but when i turn off the airport extreme up stairs it connects to the 5Ghz down stairs. i have also noticed it is a windows 7 problem. how? i have windows 7 on my macbook pro and when i get on the wireless up stairs it shows that i am connected at 2.4Ghz. what might cause windows 7 to connect to a 2.4Ghz when the airports are in a extend wireless setting?
my xbox and macbook pro can both connect to the 5Ghz up stairs and down stairs fine. its only the windows part of my macbook pro and my alienware m17x that connect at the 2.4Ghz when the wireless is extended. if i do not extend it they will connect to the down stairs airport extreme at 5Ghz.

This may not address your issue directly, but in general when there is more than one base station in a dual-band Wi-Fi network, a Wi-Fi client will connect to whichever one is seen as having the strongest signal (in some sense), regardless of band.

Hello i have a slight issue with my iPhone 4s... Blue screen?

I purchased my iphone 4s in November of 2012. Yesterday my phone was on the coffee table and I pressed the lock button and it is all blue with black lines. I can still use siri and hear it but i can't see anything. If i take a screen shot on my lock screen and plug my iphone into my macbook it shows up perfectly fine? It rings and vibrates and charges and everything works fine, I just cant see anything. I do not have a insurance and my upgrade is in November, I am NOT looking to get an android phone, because that is what some of my friends told me is the best option.I really just want to know what the problem is and how I can fix it. I would appreciate it if someone could respond very soon. Thank you.

That's a hardware failure. Make an appointmet at the genius bar of your local Apple Store. An out of warranty replacement will cost you $199.

It appears that I have the same problem with my IPhone 5 as many others. After I installed IOS 7 my phone freezes up constantly.

I bought the IPhone 5 a few months ago and realized that the phone signal is much weaker than my Iphone 4s. I work way out in the country running heavy equiptment and working cattle most the time by my self. I really need a phone for potential emergencies. I went into the ATT store where I bought it and they told me there is nothing I could do. It had been 2-3 weeks since I bought it so I was stuck with it. Now it has been a few months and I am basicly without a phone when I am at the farm.
The first couple of times I went to the store to complain they told me the last time that a tower was going into operation soon near my farm. I tried to do a search on that and even called ATT and they wont confirm one way or the other as to the tower. I have owned IPhones every since they came out and have been happy with them.
Now a couple of weeks I installed the IOS 7 update and now the phone freezes up all the time. I have have had a plumbing business for 30 years in
Victoria, Tx and I intend to tell everyone I know not to buy apple. They have lied and manipulated me into keeping this phone past the time I can return it.
And I cant use it where I need it most. I called ATT about the freezing and they told me to do a complete backup and restore. That did not do anything except waste a lot of my valuable time and make my life miserable trying to get everything back to the way that I like it.
I guess I am going to have to bite the bullet and just buy another phone because I am locked into a contract for the next two years.
Very dissapointed with Apple and cant wait to be done with them.

There is no automatic mute with notifications for received email or messages while on a call and there is no setting for this.

I once had a phone call in the middle of a trip. I was listening to my music and phone rang. It was work calling. I answered the phone and the music continued to play. I had to tell the person to hold, then i had to use multitask to find the app and manually turn it off. Once that was done, i retrurned to the phone call to find out that when i receive an email it too plays through the speaker while i am on the phone. Why wouldn't it mute these things while i am making a phone call? Is there a setting for this? It seems to me that this only happened since IOS 5, but i can't be 100%. My iPhone 5 connects to wifi but shows one bar on the wifi signal meter but my iPad2 and Macbook Air both show full wifi bars when all three are side by side next to my apple router. Do I have an antenna problem with my iPhone 5?

It appears that my iPhone 5 has a wifi signal reception issue. I only show one bar on the wifi signal meter even when I an next to the router. Both my Macbook Air and my iPad2 show full wifi signals at the same time. Rebooting the Apple router and each device results in the same meter readings.

Does this occur with any Wi-Fi connection? Or only a specific one?
If it occurs with any Wi-Fi connection, take it to Apple.
If it is only occurring with a specific Wi-Fi connection, it is an issue with that Wi-Fi connection.
Try the following, it may help:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Forget the Wi-Fi connection on the iPhone then reconnect.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).

Sound on my iPhone 4S is messed up, tips and suggestions left by others not working any more. At first turning it off for a while worked, when turned it back in the keyboard click would work for a few keystrokes but now not even that.
