Hiya, My iPhone 5 suddenly died, and was at 75% battery. Now, unable to turn on, even after charging. Pls. help...  :-(

Hiya,
My iPhone 5 suddently turned off while I was texting a friend.. What is wierd is that my iPhone 5 was at 75% charge. Eventhough I charge it, my iPhone 5 stil will not turn on..  Please help me.  Thank You..

First try charging via usb into a pc/mac, use a different cable or wall adaptor.
Also try a hard reset
- hold the home button and sleep/wake button down for atleast 10 seconds
When connecting the phone to a pc/mac that has iTunes installed does itunes recognise the iPhone?

  • Z10 Battery died and now it wont turn back on after charging for 3 -5 hours

My phone completely died and i didnt charge it for about a day. I went to charge it the following day and it wont hold a charge. I plug the charger in and the red light on the top right of the phone turns on and then blackberry appears on the screen shortly after and then it just turns off.
I plugged it into my computer and it wont even recognize my device.
I also had it plugged in for a few hours and then pulled the battery out and for a few seconds and reinserted it and nothing.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • My Iphone 5c is not turning on even after hard reset, help

Iphone 5c is not turning on after i charged it last night. I have tried holding down the sleep button and home button, not helping.

    Hello there, mila's mom.
The following Knowledge Base article offers some great steps for troubleshooting the very issue you're describing:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • My iPhone 4 suddenly died and wont turn on

my phone was at 90% and then suddenly turned off when I dropped it. After trying to turning my phone on the screen demanded to be charged and now it only shows the low battery icon and wont turn on or connect to my PC and iTunes.

Try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot. It could take up to 30 seconds of holding to get this to work. If it does not come on after that, it is very possible that your dropping it has damaged something causing the device to stop working. If the reset does not work, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple to get the device checked.

  • IPod touch will not turn on even after charging and holding buttons

iPod touch 4th gen will not turn on. I have charged it on computer into a USB port for hours. I have held the SleepWake button together with the Home button for 10 sec, 20 sec, 30 sec, and 40 sec. I have tried releasing the SleepWake button first. I have tried disconnecting it from computer then repeating the sequence of buttons. I have tried different USB ports. I have tried reconnecting the iTouch while holding the buttons. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

    Hello candymerna,
At this point I would recommeng resetting the device if if will not turn on.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
From: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
              http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If it does turn on, but will not charge then take a look at this part of the article iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting found http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
    Power/Battery
Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter
Important: Only original iPhone can be charged from a FireWire-based power source. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.
Also refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery.
If it is charging, but not recognized in iTunes take a look at one of these articles depending on your Operating System.

I solved my own problem. Hopefully this will help someone else.
I did a DFU restore, then started it up as a new phone on iTunes. Everything loaded properly, then from iTunes did a restore from backup, selected the one I wanted and it still took me to the same screen with 3 options of restore. I chose the start up as new phone from the actual phone and after all the syncing was completed, my phone is back in working order.

  • Imac hard drive died and was replaced by apple.  Data lost but is remains on ipads.  Computer address is different so can't sync without erasing ipad data (which I need back on repaired imac).  How do I do this?

How do I transfer data from and Ipad/iphone to an imac with a different address then initally setup with?  Our hard drive died and was replaced free of charge by Apple, our data was lost on the hard drive but exists on our small devices.

Since Apple replaced the hard drive does that mean you have AppleCare? If so, call them. If not, you must have paid pretty good to get it replaced and so I would think you have some possible right to ask a followup question at the store that did it.

my phone suddenly died and work only by charger please help

That would mean the battery has failed and the iPhone needs to be taken to an Apple store genius bar for testing.  Call/email ahead for an appointment to speed your time there.
Make a backup, preferably in iCloud, before going in case they want to replace the iPhone...if they do that they can restore the backup from iCloud to the replacement iPhone.

I bought an iphone for my daughter and was unaware that we should have a seperate appleid for each. Now we share an id and get eachothers contacts and face time calls. I recently bought another iphone and want to change ids without loosing items and music. How do I do this? The new phone is a 5.

All purchases are always going to be associated to the ID that was used to purchase/download them.
If you create an ID for your daughter you will want to check everywhere it is used to make sure you are not sharing messages and stuff. These would be iTunes/app store, iCloud, iMessages, and FaceTime.
Go thru settings and find all mention of your ID.
