HMP-82 Headset with C510 - does this really work?

Hi all,
my old earphones are broken so i did some research for some good, new headset for my c510. Then i came up for the HMP-82 which shall have a good and loud music quality and which is very attractive for me due to the fact that it has a remote control. i did some research in some blogs und forums and found several people who had the issue, that their c510 first recognise the HPM-82 when they plug it in but just a few seconds after listening to music with it, they complain that the headset icon on the top of display disappears and the mobile phone asks whether the music shall be continued with mobile phone loud speakers.
now im a little bit confused if this headset really works with a c510, especially also because on some websites the c510 is not listed as a supported mobile phone. Can anyone confirm if it is working without problems with a c510 or not and if not, are there other loud and good headsets with a remote control? Otherwise i considered buying a HPM-77 if there is no possibility for a remote control on a c510. The HPM-77 should work on my phone am i right?
Thank you for taking time to read my thread and sorry for my bad English.
Regards from Germany.

Unfortunately as I do not see this listed as a compatible device I would say that this is likely the cause of the problem. In regards to a suitable headset you may want to take a look at the one below:

  • GPS - does this really works?

    I tried GPS today. It gave the from and to address and started tracking. It tracks very well. To test the feature I intentionally missed the turn, now GPS should let me know the new map and new directions but it was not doing that. It was tracking perfectly.
    Any solutions / suggestions for real time directions?

    The Google Maps app does not do automatic rerouting based on GPS location. It also doesn't do turn-by-turn spoken instructions, lane indications (stay in the right lane, etc.), or many other functions found in GPS devices like Garmin and TomTom.
    Hopefully a GPS app will be written to do this, and/or Google will update their iPhone app with these functions.

  • Snow Leopard latest fix idea - does this really work?

    I was told to backup all my files, put in SL disk and erase. Then uninstall Adobe CS3. Then upload SL from the disk again and download Adobe again.
    Was told as my SL was running glitches w/adobe began escalating leading to crashes & eventually would lead to corruption of files. I needed to erase & reinstall. Before doing that, and having it wipe all my files away, I just wondered if anyone did this successfully. I've been led astray too many times.

    when you do an erase & install, you put a fresh system on your startup disk. there will be no remnants of other software left when the e&i has finished.

    before you do an erase & install, you should backup all the data that is important to you. you could e.g. drag & drop your home folder to an external drive or make a bootable clone using e.g. Carbon Copy Cloner.
    perhaps you could elaborate on the problems that would lead you to performing an e&i in the first place ?

  • Button Maker in InDesignCS3 - does this really work?

    I'm trying to publish a PDF newsletter in InDesign3 that has buttons on the bottom (previous page and next page). When I export to a PDF file the buttons don't work. Am I missing something here? I also notice that the latest issue of InDesign magazine their buttons aren't working either. Is this Indesign, me, or something in Acrobat 8.
    HHHHHEEEELLLPPP

    Hi Ken, yes, I'm including the interactive elements and have experimented with exporting to PDF 1.4 through 1.7. Is there something I'm messing up when I'm making my buttons? As far as the behaviors I'm just asking it to go to previous or next on mouse enter.

    Call AppleCare and tell them you just want to know if your iPhone is unlocked and if not, who is it locked with. If it is locked contact the cell provider and ask them what their unlock process is and complete it if you qualify.

  • Is My Iphone 3gs the only one that does this really weird glitch

    ok i have a issue i looked everywhere and i did not see anything in the forums about this
    when i am replying to a text message and auto-spell types something so i hit the back button/delete key to rewrite what i want to type and it does not delete the text it just goes over the letters and doesn't delete it and sometimes the cursor will just get stuck and sometimes the cursor when i am deleting text will keep going over the letters i am typing and doesn't do anything , so as i hit back/delete button on keyboard it just keeps going over the letters and does not delete its really weird, and this is my 2nd new iphone 3gs for a different issue, and they both did that.
    what i want to know is if this is a hardware problem and should i take it in to get it replaced again which i hate doing,since i got a good iphone 3gs this time...has this happened to anyone else,or does this happen to anyone else
    any help would great thank you

    Well if it happened to 2 different iphones perhaps something is corrupted in your backup restore file. By restoring your new phone with this old backup restore file u may be copying over the problem.
    Solution: Restore and setup your iphone as a 'New' phone instead of restoring from a previous backup. This should solve your problem.

  • Does this really even make a difference?

    Does it really upscale the picture quality when you turn off the SD override under options or select stretch? I notice a slight difference when turning it off the picture looks a bit better but also there is alot less screen usage and only a fraction of the screen gets used with those black side bars that look a bit like viewing something in wide screen on the sides. Stretch varies greatly it says that the single is at 720p (my native resolution) but some things actually look worse than they would if I simply left them in 480I or 480p.

    NEVER use "Stretch".  As Justin said, it merely distorts the picture.  People should really stop thinking that black bars (top or sides) mean that just because an image does not fill the screen, the TV is not being fully utilized.  The wider screen of your TV is a compromise (approx 1.75:1 ratio), but does not actually serve ANY of the major broadcast ratios.  (1.33:1, 1.85.:1, and 2.35:1)
    Older TV programming (and movies filmed before 1955 or so) have a ratio of 1.33:1 (aa different ration than the 16X9 ratio of your TV screen), so bars on the side are necessary to watch the programming in the way it was intended.  Widescreen movies are 2.35:1, again wider than your TV's ratio, so bars are needed at the top and bottom to see the complete image. Some channels, like HBO and EPIX, elimanate the bars by eliminating at least one-third (or more!) of the picture! And yet, even though  that terrible practice fills your TV screen, sharpness and detail is also lost when those channels do that (as any side-by-side comparison shows.), which, to my mind, defeats the purpose of HD..
    Also,, using Stretch,  the TV is overscanning, therefore softening the image as you lose 1:1 pixel mapping of most HDTVs.
    In a nutshell,  leave the override on OFF. Using artificial means to eliminate black bars actually lessens the quality of the image. (How noticable it is usually depends on the size of the TV and viewing distance.)  But even then, we still have to deal with some channels ruining HD, like HBO/EPIX/STARZ cropping,  or IFC-HD which shows movies in a distorted "stretch" mode already! Absolutely unwatchable. No need to make matters worse in those cases!

  • Does Convergent really work with Verizon for Collections?

    Hi There!
    I had some issues with Verizon a few months back, i won't get into the details, but needless to say i was ****** off enough to cancel my service after 11 years of being a customer.
    When they added up my last bill + termination fees it was around $1000, i don't tend to have that kind of money laying around, so i offered to make payments of a few hundred bucks a month ($200-$300) and was told that wasn't good enough, if i wasn't going to pay half at once they didn't care.
    So i have let it sit there and kept contacting back to see if i could set up a payment plan.
    I just got a letter from a Convergent Solutions the other day saying they are handling the collections on the account on behalf of verizon, and they have offered me a settlement for 60% of the debt. However, when i googled them, there are a lot of blog posts and things about them being a scam, and people who have paid them but still been contacted by verizon for the balance they owe. There are also over 200 disputes that had to go through BBB to be resolved.
    I have contacted Verizons Customer service and gotten no response
    So my questions are:
    1. Is convergent really working on behalf of verizon, and if i pay off the settlement with them, my account will be rectified?
    2. Convergent says they do NOT report any accounts to credit agencies. However they cannot promise that Verizon will not report it as negative, even though it's been paid. (Potentially negative as "Delinquent: Paid/Closed") Honestly, if it's still going to show up as a negative on my credit, i'm less motivated to fork over my whole tax refund to pay it off....so i would only want to pay it off with an agreement from Verizon/Convergent that it will not be reported to the credit agencies.
    Anyone have any advice/suggestions? The settlement offer expires on 1/31 so i'm on a short timetable, lol.
    Thank in advance for all your help!

    Hello lookn_glas_shrd,
    I think the majority of us have been in the position you're in, and I would like to help you with your situation. The amount of information I am able to see depends on how long it has been since the service was disconnected. I would have to access your account information. I assure you that I am an employee of Verizon Wireless. Please send me a DM (Direct Message) with your name and your mobile number, as well as the zip code of your billing address. If I cannot view the necessary information, I can assist by pointing you in the right direction. Once I see the account, I will be able to gather the necessary data and provide you with 100% information. More importantly, you will be provided with peace of mind in knowing exactly what's going on and how we can resolve this together.
    I look forward to hearing from you!

  • TIME MACHINE - How does it really work?

    Dear Mac users and Apple;
    I am new to Mac. For most of my life I used Windows OS. One of the cool features on my new iMac 24'' is TM. In the past I used to use Norton Ghost for creating back ups and safeguarding my data.
    Though there is a lot of info on www.apple.com and in the forums I can not find any satisfactory information about the true way of how Time Machine (TM) works.
    Below I describe all my concerns, but in order to put them into perspective here is what I was used to on PC while using Norton Ghost. I would run a one time back up of my whole system drive (C:) and other drive (D:) which had my documents on it and then schedule regular back ups (weekly in my case). These were incremental back ups which only " added" the files which changed in the mean time. Of course, this method also meant that anything done between the back ups was at risk of being lost until next back up took place.
    When I stated using TM, I assumed a lot of how it works based on my experience described above. However, I ran across this forum http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6096304&#6096304 and got pretty confused as to how it really works. I searched for explanations but all I find is us users guessing. I believe Apple should provide its customers with clear explanation and documentation how TM works.
    If you read the long formum thread you will understand what I am talking about. If not here is a rough summary.
    A guy backed up his data using TM, then after checking it is there he deleted the originals from the source drive only to find out later that the back ups were deleted from TM as well.
    The thread goes on and these are the questions I have as a result - I kindly beg you to answer them for me:
    1. TM does 1st back up of the whole Mac, at first - correct? This data stays until TM runs out of space on the back up drive, correct?
    2.)TM does hourly back ups which are kept for 24 hrs (one day), then only a daily back up stays - which one out of the 24 is considered the daly back up? Or is it a separate back up?
    3.)TM does daily back ups which stay for a month then are deleted?
    4.)TM does weekly back up and this back up stays until TM runs out of space on the back up destination drive, correct? If yes, when does it take place?( 7days from the initial back up and then again each 7 days?
    5.) If I create a file and then delete it before hourly back up stores it, it is not backed up at all, correct?
    6.) If I create a file and then delete it once it was backed up by the hourly back up is it stored for 24 hours (one day) and then deleted?
    7.) If I create a file and delete it once it was backed up by the daily backup, it stays for a month in the back ups of TM but then is deleted?
    8.) If I create a file and it is backed up by the weekly back up, then is deleted - it resides in the weekly back up until TM runs out of space on the destination back up drive and deletes the original weekly back up, correct?
    From this, if my assumptions above are right, it means that only files backed up by the weekly back up are kept until back up destination drive has space left. Then it would mean that it is important for me to know when the weekly back up takes place, so that I know that "now is the time and the files I have on my source drive now will stay in the target back up drive as long as it has space".
    Further, it would mean that the hourly and daily back ups are kind of temporary back ups which give me the chance to restore the file within 24 hrs if backed up in the hourly back up, or restore it within one month if backed up by the daily back up. If backed up by the weekly back up, then it can be restored any time as long as the back up drive is not full. Is that correct?
    IF I do a forced back up (Ctrl click on TM in the dock and then order it " Back up now") is this a back up which stays until back up external disk is full or is it a temporary back up (like the hourly and/or daily)?
    Another issue is as follows: If I delete an application from my hard drive BUT it was backed up in the past by TM - can that application be launched automatically without first asking for my (users) permission from the TM's back up on the eternal hard drive? E.g. I install Adobe reader - it is backed up by TM. Then I uninstall it. Then, I download a PDF document, click it to open - does Adobe reader open from the TM back up? If NOT - great, that is how I expect it to work. If YES, then does it warn me about being opened from TM back up? YES it does warn me - great work apple. NO it does not - why? If the later is the case then if you exchange Adobe reader for spyware or malware or a virus, you have a vulnerability how viruses etc. can be reintroduced to system from TM back ups even after cleaned from the original hard disk. Please let me know how it really works.

    1. TM does 1st back up of the whole Mac, at first - correct? This data stays until TM runs out of space on the back up drive, correct?
    Respectively right and wrong. Out of all the hourly backups it makes, TM keeps only the first of each day for longer than 24 hours and one (presumably the first) of each week longer than one month. Any data which is not part of one of the retained backups is lost. Clearly this may happen long before the drive runs out of space and TM begins deleting the retained backups (oldest first).
    2.)TM does hourly back ups which are kept for 24 hrs (one day), then only a daily back up stays - which one out of the 24 is considered the daly back up? Or is it a separate back up?
    TM keeps only the first backup of each day for longer than 24 hours. When you bring up a daily backup in TM's browser, you will see on the big shiny black bar along the bottom not only the date but the precise time of the backup you are looking at.
    3.)TM does daily back ups which stay for a month then are deleted?
    One per week is retained (presumably the first but Apple isn't saying and I haven't seen that confirmed by anyone yet). The others are deleted.
    4.)TM does weekly back up and this back up stays until TM runs out of space on the back up destination drive, correct? If yes, when does it take place?( 7days from the initial back up and then again each 7 days?
    Don't know about timing. By analogy with the daily backups I would guess first of the week. But remember this is not a separate backup, it is one of the original hourly backups which survives the progressive culling process.
    5.) If I create a file and then delete it before hourly back up stores it, it is not backed up at all, correct?
    Correct.
    6.) If I create a file and then delete it once it was backed up by the hourly back up is it stored for 24 hours (one day) and then deleted?
    It is stored for at least 24 hours. If it was never on the first backup of any day it will not survive longer. Otherwise it will.
    7.) If I create a file and delete it once it was backed up by the daily backup, it stays for a month in the back ups of TM but then is deleted?
    If it was in the first backup of any day then it will be in the backup with that date so long as that backup is retained (at least 30 days and until the drive is full if that day is retained as the weekly backup).
    8.) If I create a file and it is backed up by the weekly back up, then is deleted - it resides in the weekly back up until TM runs out of space on the destination back up drive and deletes the original weekly back up, correct?
    If it is in the backup chosen as the weekly backup it will be available until that backup is deleted by TM for lack of space.
    I wouldn't advise thinking like this. If you wish to retain long term a particular file TM is not the answer. You should separately archive it outside TM. As has been pointed out elsewhere, you could just copy it to the drive TM is running on, but outside TM's backup folder (however note that this will reduce the space available for TM's backups).
    Correct.
    IF I do a forced back up (Ctrl click on TM in the dock and then order it " Back up now") is this a back up which stays until back up external disk is full or is it a temporary back up (like the hourly and/or daily)?
    Good question. I have no reason to think that forced backups are priviledged in any way, but who knows? Anyone got any comment?
    I install Adobe reader - it is backed up by TM. Then I uninstall it. Then, I download a PDF document, click it to open - does Adobe reader open from the TM back up?
    Nothing in the backups is available to you until you have restored it. Interesting question is: if an application is restored, are any other files its original installer would have placed in the system and are needed to run it restored as well? One would like to think so but maybe that's too hard for TM? I would recommend that any major application that has been disinstalled be reinstalled from the original disks rather than relying on TM. Of course, if you've just accidently trashed an application file you can restore it from TM no problem.
    Only after restoring it from TM can you use it.
    Hope these comments help and anyone with more info adds their piece. TM is proving more confusing than it looked at first glance!

  • Can you set an image at run time?  Does it really work?

    I have read that others have been able to set an image at run time, but I cannot seem to get it to work (the image I set does not load).
    What I do is have a page, call it page2, that has two image components on it. In the constructor for page2 I do this:
    // Additional user provided initialization code
    image1.setValue("bike1.JPG");
    image2.setValue("bike2.JPG");
    The jpg files are in the build directory:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Darrin\My Documents\Creator\Projects\ImageTest\build\images
    The odd thing is that for the first image component(image1), I set a default jpg file (nogo.JPG that is in the same directory as the other two), and that does load.
    In fact, when I I check the value of image1 in afterRenderResponse by calling image1.getValue() it still has the default image (nogo.JPG) instead of the one I set it to (bike1.JPG) in the constructor by calling image1.setValue("bike1.JPG");
    So, either the image1.setValue() has no effect, or something is overwriting it.
    What is the trick to getting an image to load at run time like this?
    THANKS!

    Well after several more hours of banging myh ead against the wall, I still cannot get this to work.<br><br>
    I read in the constructor comments that whatever is in the jsp file will override the backing bean's constructor, so that might be part of the problem, but others I thought got this to work using a similar method.<br><br>
    Here is what I tried last which still does not work, but mimics what others have said did work for them:<br><br>
    //See if the default jpg file can even be copied over
    <br> image3.setHeight(image1.getHeight());
    <br> image3.setUrl(image1.getUrl());
    <br> image3.setValue(image1.getValue());
    <br>
    <br> Integer aiw = new Integer("1");
    <br> float aar = 0;
    <br> float ar = 0;
    <br>
    <br> ImageIcon ii = new ImageIcon("C:/Documents and Settings/Darrin/My Documents/Creator/Projects/ImageTest/build/images/bike1.JPG");
    <br> ar = (float)ii.getIconHeight()/(float)ii.getIconWidth();
    <br> aiw = new Integer(ii.getIconHeight());
    <br> aar = ar*aiw.intValue();
    <br> image1.setHeight(""+(int)aar);
    <br> image1.setUrl("images/bike1.JPG");
    <br> image2.setValue("C:/Documents and Settings/Darrin/My Documents/Creator/Projects/ImageTest/build/images\\bike2.JPG");
    <br> image2.setUrl("C:/Documents and Settings/Darrin/My Documents/Creator/Projects/ImageTest/build/images\\bike2.JPG");
    <br><br>Note that when I run this and look at the log that I write out to in afterRenderRepsponse, it shows that image1 (which shows up as the default image I set at design time) and image3 (which does not show up which I set at run time using image1's value) both show the nogo.JPG image from the <b>resource</b> directory while image2 (that I set at run time to be bike2.JPG) is showing up as <b>empty</b>
    <br><br>
    This is really getting frustrating, and I would greatly appreciate a small tutorial from the JSC staff on just how you need to go about doing this. given that this is so common a need, a tutorial is warranted. Heck, just clue me in on how it is done and I will write one!
    <br><br>
    THANKS!

  • BPM Message Split: Does it really work?

    Hello everybody,
    did anybody of you design a process with a message split that works?
    If I look the SAPs tutorial "checkSeatFlightAvailability" an test the message-split in IR I CAN'T see that there is a message really splittet into MESSAGE1, MESSAGE2 ..MESSAGE-N!
    I wonder why there is just one blog?
    Regards Mario

    Hi Mario,
    Yes the message split does work:) You can even split without using the bpm(if you want to)
    Here are the weblogs :-

  • Query filter with amounts does not alway work

    I have several customers with the same problem.
    They create a query in Webi containing some simple objects. In the filter pane they have for eksample amounts less than  -2000
    This should give a report with rows where the amount is less than -2000. But in some cases there are rows with amount = 0.00. It does not matter what value they put in the filter, it could be -2000 or 1000 or 200 etc. the problem is that some rows with value 0.00 slips through and are listed in the rows of the report.
    I have been searching for a note for this problem, but haven't found any yet.
    The BOE version is 12.2.5.537
    I do not have this problem on customers who runs a 12.1 version of BOE....
    Thanks

    Can you post the actual SQL?
    Does this measure object have a sum(table.column)
      (so it goes in the having and is evaluated on the group by level)
    or not
      (so it goes into the where and is evaluate on a row to row basis)...
    In case of the latter you can off course have detail values that pass the test,
    but are counter booked so they add up to zero, and show as zero in BO.
    Good luck,
