Ho to remove tint in the background of scanned PDF?

My colleague circulated a scanned PDF of a journal article, but it has a light tint in the background. I think the scanner picked up the light, yellowish tint of the paper.
It's very cumbersome, because regular laser printers strive reproduce the tint in the background even in the B&W mode, which I'd rather not.
Is there any way to remove the background tint in a scanned PDF?

Might be a strategy by the copyright holder to stop exactly this sort of thing. Cleaning up a PDF is best done with something like Photoshop, after scanning but before making a PDF. Labour intensive.

Generally, using a different program than Lightroom, e.g. Photoshop.
Note: you can remove objects in Lightroom by stringing dust-spot removal bubbles across them, but that may or may not be preferrable. If you do go that route, it may be essential to position strategically *after* initial placement.

Removing objects in the background of imovie

After a nights worth of filming, i realised that in one of my scenes, you can see the tripod in the background and i was just wondering if there was anyway i could remove it. I don't want to crop the scene because its right in the middle of the frame and i need the surroundings of it. Is it possible to just like colour it out or something?
Any suggestions?

You'll probably get more knowledgeable answers in one of the iMovie forums. But, I would guess that you would need more powerful editing software such as Final Cut Express or Pro or similar to do such a thing.

Help - how can I remove text in the background?

I am translating a text from English into Portuguese in a document created in Germany (as .mif 7).
After I inserted the Portuguese text, a ruler and the words "498 Entwurf 15.06.2011" in red and "Abstand" in sky blue started to appear in the background, as well as some kind of a grid (please see attached image). I need them to disappear when the document is printed, but I haven't been able to make them disappear so far. The words in red indicate the name of the document (498) and the date when it was originally created. I need the document to have a white background only with the letters in black and images (just like the original, but in Portuguese - no words in sky blue and red and no grid).
This is probably easy to solve and I may sound really silly, but I've already lost 3 hours and I'm getting desperate because I need to deliver the document as soon as possible.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I think the converter you are using to convert it to portuguese is a free converter and it has been noticed that when you use the free or trial version of any converter ,it generally puts its name in the PDF document and you have to buy that product to get rid of it.If thats true then we would not be able to remove that text.

Is there a way to have Adobe Acrobat run in the background while scanning documents?

This was working fine up until last week and then all of a sudden, the scanning program overrides anything else I'm doing on the computer (such as typing an email, etc). I'm not sure if a recent update removed that setting, but I'd like to be scanning documents, but not have to wait until it's done to have my computer back. Does anyone know how to change this?

My organization is having this same issue. Our scanners were using 9.2 Acrobat standardard to scan. While they were scanning, they could switch focus to another application and work while scanning continued in the background. Now, the twain driver grabs focus at the start of every page. This must have happened because of an upgrade. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated considering this has affected our productivity.

With Acrobat Professional you can use the Redaction tool to cover the area and add text.
With Acrobat Standard, you can create a form field set to read only, set the fill color to the background color, set text color as needed, set the default value to the text to display and make the alignment left. When all is set flatten the page.

'multitasking' is not a very usefull invention and should have a permanent solution, to stop applications from running in the background instead of having to go in and exit them. the only thing that is usefull is to go in and click on next song under music, everything else running in the background can just be exited as far as im concerned, its not like i have 400 applications, and i have to go searching through my phone to find them

Push twice on the Home button to display running apps. Press on one and hold until they wiggle. Tap on the circled red "x" to remove each from the background. Note that backgrounded apps are not actually running until you access them except for those that have been written to run concurrently such as Music, which can continue playing while you are using other apps.

I am sorry, but using Adobe Acrobat Reader, you cannot change the background of your PDF file.
You might need to have Adobe Acrobat for the same.
The latest version is Acrobat DC in which you can choose 'Edit PDF' tool and go under More editing options to update the Background color (as shown below):
If you are using any other version of Acrobat, then let me know so that I can tell you the settings for the same.

A PDF page is not white - it's transparent. However in Acrobat or Adobe Reader you always see a white representation of the page, and that cannot be turned off.
You have two options - import one PDF into another as a layer, or open both files in another application (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).

How do I remove the background from a movie I made?
I imported a QT movie at 368/272 pixels, but for whatever
reason the HTML jumps up to 550/400.
The movie is still 368/272 but there is a background border
making it 550/400. Tried all sorts of settings in Publish but
can’t get rid of it. Can I keep the movie (and controller)
and not the background?
I can get round it by changing the background colour, but
surely there must be another way.
Also: My QT file was fine but the .flv has a stuttering
sound, any idea what could cause that?
