Apple aiport extreme + hard disk esterno

mi presento, sono un nuovo utente, e sto impazzendo nel configurare la mia apple airport extreme, ho provato in tutti i modi ed ora chiedo aiuto a voi.
il problema non è nella connessione wireless ma nel collegamento e per uploadare i miei files sull'hard disk.
premetto che vedo il mio hard disk nell'Airport Utility
notebook windows xp professional sp3
airport extreme
hard disk esterno 500 gb
connessione fastweb in fibra ottica
firewall disattivato
non riesco ad accedere alla cartella remota perchè non so se devo andare in risorse di rete, configurare un ftp o cos'altro

Considerato che sono loggato come amministratore e che dalle informazioni del disco dovrei disporre di diritti di lettura e scrittura sul disco, cosa mi consigli di provare a fare?

What are you actually trying to do? Why do you need "DVD size" folders if you're creatng an Archive on an external hard drive?
Also, I understand burning folders instead of individual photos or albums gives you more space on a DVD.
It makes no difference at all.
How can I keep the captions on my photos (not events) when I print or transfer to a new folder?
You can export while writing the metadata to the file in most cases.
Tne only way I know is to copy photos from the Windows to folders on my HD, then copy and paste photos or albums or events to HD, then create a new folder and fill it to the appropriate DVD size.
HD? Another HD? You use HD there in a way that makes no sense. What's the point of 'DVD size'?
I also thought I should download future photos to my Canon programming that comes with EOS cameras and edit and then decide which photos to save to iPhoto library and which to save only to my archival HD?
Does this have any relation to the previous questions? You know you can delete from iPhoto, right?
You're somewhat confused and you need to
1. Decide what exactly you want to do
2. Then go about it.
If I understand you correctly - and there's no guarantee that I do - the easiest thing is to bring all your Photos into iPhoto and do everything from there.
You can have an archive on an external disk, you can sort and select and edit with or via iPhoto

il mio mac ha smesso di vedere l'hard disk esterno per time machine e non riesco a fare i backup.

Try re-selecting the disk via Time Machine Preferences.
If that doesn't help, try #A4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
If still no help, try #A5 there.

In allegato ti metto tutto il vi con la libreria utilizzata.
Per parlare con il PLC ho utilizzato una libreria .NET fornitami dalla casa costruttrice del PLC. Tutto funziona bene. Il problema e il bello viene ora.
Tutte le variabili che io vado a leggere dal plc mi vengono passate come stringhe. Fortunatamente la libreria mi passa anche il tipo di dato della variabile. Quindi io riesco, tramite la variabile DataType a capire di che tipo di variabili si tratta. Poi tramite il case vorrei separare le varie situazioni. Per quanto riguarda variabili booleane è facile. Ma quanto il plc mi passa variabili di tipo intero?!
E quando, ancora peggio, mi passa strutture?!?!?!??!
Mi è stato detto di utilizzare il blocco to variant. Ma non lo so usare e non capisco come fare. Sto andando totalmente a caso, anche perchè sono nuovo in labview...
Sai come aiutarmi?!

Deleting i-tunes from hard disk

When I delete a song from my library, there is no pop-up option to delete the song from my hard disk. I need to free up space. I am using the Windows XP portion of my Mac. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Do you keep your songs in the iTunes Music folder, the location of which is set in Edit>Preferences>Advanced in Windows or do you use another folder of your own making? iTunes will delete songs from the library and move them to Trash (Recycle Bin) only if they are in the iTunes Music folder. (iTunes will ask if you want to trash the file if this is the case, it doesn't trash it automatically). If your songs are kept outside of this folder then deleting only removes the reference to the song from the library and you have to go to the folder they are located in to trash the file itself.

My HD crashed and I want to sync my i pod back with my i tunes library. When I log in to itunes there's a message indicating it will erase everything I currently have. How do I sync both libraries (apparent) on itunes?

When you get the message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No* (or "Cancel" if you are using iTunes 7). Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. In iTunes 7 Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting: Managing content manually on iPod
You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. As iTunes 7 is just out some of these may not have caught up with it yet though I haven't experienced any problems with the Mac software I use.

There is a new function in iTunes 7 under File, "Transfer Purchases from iPod" which transfers iTMS purchases. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for quite a small outlay.

Retrieve data from a Hard Disk That was connected to the optical Drive of Mac Book pro

I have been using a Mac Book pro from 2011 (Early 2011 Model), In the mid of 2012 I have planned to upgrade, and bought a 240 GB SSD and 16 GB ram from OWC, Installed successfully and bought another 750 GB WD Sata Disk and connected it to the Optical Drive Bay of the Laptop, using the optical drive as an external device now
I was using the SSD as the main disk for all the applications and OS itself, and tranferred all the user library (iTunes Library, iPhoto Library, Documents etc..) to the additinal 750 SATA Disk,
Last week the Mag Safe cable has been worn out and seperated completely from the adapter, I tried soldering the cable again and it was working for two days, third day The machine stopped charging and it was working until the battery run out of charge,
Now I have bought a new Mag Safe Charger for 108 Singapore Dollars and it wont charge, read in iFixit Forums to change the Mag Safe DC in Board, so found a new part in singapore and replaced DC in Board myself, after doing this when I connected the new mag safe adapter, it fired the cpu fan for two second, I was able to see the green light the adapter and it stopped again and the green light wont lit up now
Removed the logic board from Laptop completely and tried connecting the Mag Safe Adapter I can see the green light,
So with all the above details, Iam confused whether its the Logic Board or the Battery that is giving me issue, I can find out the problem by contacting a Authorised service centre, but Iam thinking whether its is worth to repair it or buy a New Mac Book Pro ?, Because if I need to change the logic Board need to spend 900 Dollars + 100 dollar service charge
So I was trying to remove the 750 GB WD Sata Disk to see if I can get the data back so I can buy a new Laptop without worrying,
The real issue now is when I connect the 750 WD Disk using a sata to usb converter cable to my official macbook, it says the connected USB device is drawing more power than expected and it wont even detect the hard disk, Iam wondering why it cannot detect the hard disk even in the disk utility, is there any way to get the data back from the 750 GB WD Sata disk (which was connected to the Optical Drive Bay)

Welcome to the discussions!
It sounds as if your disk was not correctly formatted to work with the Mac operating system. I suspect it was formatted in FAT32, which is primarily a Windows format. This type of format will not allow the disk to accept any files larger than 4GB. That's probably why you are seeing the crashes.
Connect the drive to your Mac and open Applications > Utilities > Airport Utility.
Click your disk on the left and click the erase tab on the right. You need to format the drive in +Mac OS Extended (Journaled)+. Formatting will erase everything on the disk.
Then you could try the drive again attached to your AirPort Extreme to see if that will do what you want.

Try CMD+R. That will restore the latest version you were running.

Forse trovata soluzione, provate così:
Fate il Backup di tutto
Fate triplo-click sulla linea sottostante per selezionarla per intero:
~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices/
Click destro o control-click sulla linea selezionata
Selezionare "Mostra nel Finder" dal menu contestuale.
Verrà individuata la cartella della riga sopra contenente un solo file.
Chiudete iTunes.
Spostate nel cestino il file contenuto nella cartella.
Riaprite iTunes e provate la sincronizzazione.
