Ho un problema con i layout di iBooks Author. Mi date una mano?

Ho creato un layout da utilizzare quando aggiungo un capitolo. Ho provato ad aggiungere un nuovo capitolo con questo mio layout e scopro che non posso ne muovere ne selezionare alcun oggetto o testo. Posso solo aggiungere nuovi elementi.
Allora ho provato a inserire una casella di testo al layout per capitoli già inseriti da Apple e quando ho applicato il layout ad una nuova pagina vedo che posso selezionare e modificare tutto tranne la casella di testo che ho inserito io ! Vi prego ditemi come posso risolvere il problema!

Ever since I updated the Pages a week ago, iBook Author is unable to read Pages files while attempting to insert. Never had a problem in previous versions of Pages or files created a few months ago. The only work around is to copy text and past into new sections in iBook Author. Tedious. Any solution appreciated.

I ran some tests with a new Pages 5 doc saved in both Pages 5 format and exported to Pages 09 format, and iBA had no problem importing them. So perhaps the problem is confined to older docs.

You don't have to do anything special for this. Make your images 1024 x 768. A tap on an image will expand it to full screen.

¡¡URGENTE!! Problema con Adobe Bridge

Hola a todos. Acabo de suscribirme y espero aprender mucho en este foro gracias a su ayuda y a su comprensión.
Este es mi problema: soy un usuario diario de toda la Creative Suite 2, me encantan todos sus programas. Hace poco compré una laptop HP para trabajar más comodamente, instalé la suite completa y me trabajaba bien hasta hace unos dos días. Bueno, en realidad sigue trabajando bien, todos los programas abren perfectamente, excepto el Adobe Bridge. Cada vez que lo abro, empieza a cargar normal como toda aplicación, pero no se muestra, desaparece por completo. En el administrador de tareas de windows, sólo aparece como proceso, no como aplicación, y me toca terminarlo.
Cuando decido no cerrarlo forzado, lo dejo procesando un rato después de abrirlo y aparece de repente despúes de 5 o 10 minutos. Parece estar bien, pero cuando quiero ir al Bridge Center se cuelga y queda inservible.
Debo confesar que estuve tratando de optimizar el PC desabilitando algunos servicios de windows que consideré no necesarios, y al parecer desabilité uno que no debía. Pensando en eso, los volví a dejar como estaban, pero no me solucionó el problema. Ya estuve viendo unos casos iguales al mío en los foros en inglés, pero no han podido solucionarlo.
Por favor, AYÚDENME....Es muy molesto este comportamiento del Bridge, he reseteado las preferencias, he hecho un restaurar sistema y NADA..

Gracias por tus sugerencias. Efectivamente tengo instaladas todas las actualizaciones del Windows y de la Creative Suite 2. Voy a probar con el wireless apagado, aunque no tiene sentido porque como decía antes he estado usando el Bridge sin problemas con éste prendido.
No quiero hacer toda una restauración de mi pc con el disco de recuperación y volver a instalar todo de nuevo por causa de un sólo programa, pero por lo visto me va a tocar.
Otra cosa, antes dije que había usado el restaurar sistema, pero no es cierto (lo siento). Por alguna razón mi laptop HP no me deja devolverme a otro punto de restauración. He leído en otras partes que es debido a que tengo el Norton Antivirus 2006 instalado, y que éste interfiere con el proceso de restauración, pero no se más.
Espero haya otra solución para volver a la normalidad mi Bridge que no requiera volver a la configuración de fábrica del laptop y que sólo sea modificar un valor en los servicios o en el registro de windows.

Can't advance Keynote Widget on iBooks Author

Using Keynote 9 (version 5.1.1) and OS X Lion (10.7.2) and experiencing problems with Keynote Widget for iBooks Author.
The drag-and-drop feature works fine; I see the first slide - but the arrow button appears to be grayed out. Can't advance through any of my (pretty basic) transitions.
I don't have an iPad, so I can't see if the iBooks file works on that device, but I figured that the Keynote Widget should show some functionality in iBooks Author since both an Interactive Image Widget and QuickTime movie I added elsewhere appears to work. [That image clicks just fine in iBooks Author.]
Also, when I click "Show transport controls" in the inspector, I see arrows and 1/7 (number of slides) - but clicking still doesn't seem to work.
Do I need to be using an iPad to see this particular functionality? Or is this some sort of silly user-error? (Or both?)
Any hints are much appreciated.

I subsequently found the other support doc that is more clear - affirming the correctness of your answer.
Even so, I encourage you to reconsider the use of the word "clearly," which comes across as needlessly condescending.

Keynote slides with video - not linking in Ibooks Author

I have a problem with linking Keynote slides containing videos in Ibooks author. I am using the latest version of both programs on Yosemity (6.5.2 keynote, Ibooks Author 2.2 )
The keynotes is set up with ‘Links Only’ and it works perfectly in Keynote. In Ibooks author the ‘link only’ is not working and the slides just progresses to next one. Like the Presentation type was set to normal, whether or not I press the link or outside the link. The exact same keynote slides without the video doesn’t have this problem and links perfectly in Ibooks Author. The result is the same testing the Ibook directly on the Mac or on the Ipad Air (8.1.2)
To make sure about the video types I tried a number of different ones (different Mac/Ipad video conversion programs) all with the same result. The result is also the same whether it plays ‘on page’ or ‘full-screen’ in the Ibook. The videos all plays perfectly but the links are not working.
Saving the keynote to 09 seemed to solve the problem. I am new to Ibooks author …. And the whole Mac environment. But I am thinking it’s supposed to work without having to do this????
The same happened when I tested a linked keynote example from Lynda.com. ‘Ibooks essential training’. Only in the 09 version it was working with the links, when the slides had videos. This example was off course also created in an earlier Keynote version.

This is a problem that I've reported both here and via bugreport.apple.com. However, I don't think that it has to do with screen resolution (retina/non-retina). Rather, I think it has to do with setting the widget to "full screen" where transport controls cannot be used and selecting a "Links Only" presentation.
I used simple forward and back arrows set (Control-click on object) to go to next slide or previous slide. What I found was that while this works as designed when played back in Keynote (OS X or iOS) but not in the Keynote widget. The links only setting and these hyperlinks are totally ignored in the Keynote widget. Tapping anywhere went to the next slide. Tapping on the back arrow also went to the next slide,

IBook author review widget questions not displaying correctly.

I have a 5-question review, and after the first question, the following questions are not displayed in their entirety when previewed in iBook. Sometimes there are only 4 characters in the question. Has anyone else have this problem and have a solution?
(I did not have this problem before upgrading to latest iBook author/ibook software.)

Yes, I'm having problems as well with missing text in the review questions as well as some other formatting issues with floating text boxes and text-wrapping.
My book is in English with Japanese. I'm running on a MacBook Pro (Mid-2010) with OS 10.9.1 and iBooks Author 2.1.1. I have changed the fonts many different times. I've tried adding extra spaces as someone else mentioned elsewhere. I've tried every conceivable mix of layers. I've tried with a fresh new file. All to no avail.
I have put a lot of time and effort into my interactive Textbook and have finally finished. Now these issues are the last remaining before delivery through iTunes Producer.
FYI, I have previewed the book in iBooks (latest version), on an iPad mini retina, on an iPad (4th ten); both as previews and using the exported .ibook format (all on iOS7). The problems persist.

I am producing an epub 3 fixed layout ebook. My query is whether there is a known issue with epub 3 and the old version of iBooks - iBooks 2.
The epub has passed verification with epubcheck 3.0.1 and I have viewed the file on my iPad with iBooks 3.2 as well as on iBooks on my Mac, and also through the Chrome browser using Readium. In all cases the layout is fine. But when the file is downloaded onto an old iPad using iBooks 2, the layout is all mixed up. The iPad says that its operating system of OS.5 is up-to-date , and will not allow it to be updated, and thus it's impossible to update iBooks to versions 3.
So my question is whether this is a known issue with fixed layout epub 3 and versions 2 of iBooks, and if so whether there is a work around to allow fixed layout epub 3 to be read on iBooks2.

Follow-up query: (apple-ibooks-display-options) file needed in epub 3??
I tried adding the old (apple-ibooks-display-options) file to the META INF folder, as you used to for fixed layout epub 2, and the file displayed perfectly on the older version of iBooks, as well as on the latest iBooks. This leads me to ask whether you still need to add the 'apple-ibooks-display-options' file to epub 3, to make them readable on old versions of iBooks, or whether this indicates that some of the settings stating this is pre-paginated etc. are not entered correctly in the content.opf file, but I have checked this and I don't think so.
Any advice on this would be very welcome.

i can't upload my new ebook created by ibooks author. I tried three times for hours and hours (10 hours...) but it still appears "authentcating with itunes store"... the books is about 85 Mb so i can't really understand. it should be easier.

There are various other posts on this issue.. a recent one was found to be the result a slow connection speed in an African country "dial up" rather than a broadband connection. After a faster connection was found... the book uploaded without issue.
Other have had problems with video formatting - even though the auto optomisng was carried out in iBA.
Are you sure your book complies with the Asset guide and everything is OK?

Problema con el instrument I/O assistant

Disculpen espero me puedan ayudar, he querido utilizar el Instrument I/O Assistant, pero siempre que lo pongo en el diagrama de bloques me sale una ventana diciendo:
"Existe un problema con el Measurement & Automation Explorer ó el Instrument I/O Assistant esta mal instalado. Reintale los drivers desde el CD"
"Meassurement & Automation Explorer or the Instrument I/O Assistant is not installed correctly. Please install these from the Labview Drivers CD"
Ya intente reinstalar los drivers del I/O desde el disco de evaluacion que tengo, tambien baje unos de la pagina, tambien baje el ultimo DAQmx, e instale de nuevo el MAX, pero nada lo resuelve.
Ojala alguien me pueda ayudar.

es posible que al desinstalar e instalar el MAX se hayan dañado algunas secciones del mismo. Te recomiendo desinstalar todo el programa de National Instruments incluyendo LabView y Drivers e instalarlos nuevamente, primeramente LabView y posteriormente los Drivers, usando el CD de Drivers. Si no tienes este CD de Drivers, puedes bajarlo desde nuestra web de NI, en la siguiente liga:

Una vez instalado todo nuevamente, abre el programa de MAX y verifica en la sección de Software (sobre el árbol de secciones) que estén instalados los drivers de NI-VISA y NI-488.2 ya que estos son requeridos por el Instrument I/O Assistant.
De lo contrario tendrás que bajarlos de las siguientes ligas e instalarlos:
NI-VISA
NI-488.2 (necessary only if you are using GPIB)
Si fue necesario instalar estos drivers (como segunda opción) entonces tendrás que desinstalar e instalar nuevamente el Instrument I/O Assistant. Para instalar el Instrument I/O Assistant usa el NI Device Drivers que bajaste de la página de National Instruments. No es necesario que instales o desinstales el DaQmx y el MAX.

IBooks Author TrueType font problem

I'm working on an iBook and I'm attempting to use a truetype font for a page heading, but when I preview it on my iPad, the font shows up correctly for a brief moment, then is replaced by something generic. I have confirmed in the Font Book application that the font is a .ttf, and it DOES show up in the font selector drop down menu on the formatting bar in iBooks Author. Why would the font show up correctly for a second or two and then disappear on the iPad?

It would appear that there's a bug in the preview mode. Maybe something to do with a cached version of the book? I fixed the problem by deleting the "proof" version on my iPad and re-sending it and now the truetype font shows up correctly.

"problema" con el teclado entre el premiere pro 1.5 y 2.0

Hola a todos.
Tengo un pequeño problema con el uso del premiere pro 2.0
Seguramente a muchos les parecerá una tonteria, pero para mi manera de editar me causa una perdida de tiempo.
A ver si me explico bien.
En el timeline tengo 5 fragmentos de video (da igual la duracion).
En el pro 1.5, con las teclas INCIO y FIN vas al inicio y fin de lo que tengas seleccionado. Si tienes seleccionado solo un fragmento, vas a principio y fin del fragmento, si seleccionas 2 fragmentos, pues a inicio y fin de los 2 fragmentos.
Y con Av-pag y RE-pag, pasas de un fragmento a otro (muy util esto para poner transiciones con ctrl+D por ejemplo, a 50 fotografias)
Con el pro 2.0, con INICIO y FIN vas al INICIO y FIN de TODO LO QUE TIENES EN EL TIMELINE. No de lo que tengas seleccionado, sino de todo lo que tienes en el timeline.
Lo del AV-PAG y RE-PAG funciona igual que en el pro 1.5
He mirado en EDIT - KEYBOARD configure, y es la misma configuracion para los dos programas.
Yo trabajo mucho con proyectos grandes, y por ejemplo, si tengo 30 fotografias con una musica A, otras 30 fotografias con una musica B, etc... hasta llegar a tener 8 o 9 musicas.
Si selecciono la musica A, con INICIO y FIN voy a inicio y final de la musica A. Y lo mismo con las otras musicas.
Ahora, con INICIO y FINAL voy a inicio y final del todo lo que tengo en el timeline....
y me vuelvo loco para saber donde estoy.
A alguien le pasa esto?

yo normalmente personalizo mi teclado con unas 5 teclas extra que no vienen en el teclado pero procuro no cambiarlo para no desacostumbrarme al normal ademas que siempre cargo mi archivo personalizado y si llego a trabajar a otro lugar solo guardo mi archivo del teclado en donde voy a trabajar
les tengo 2 opciones
1 intenten buscar el archivo de premiere pro 1.5 del teclado no recuerdo la terminacion pero configuren uno ud y le dan el nombre que quieran (mi teclado) despues lo buscan y ese es el archivo
posterior mente hacen lo mismo en premier pro 2.0 para encontrar la carpeta donde se guardan las configuraciones, despues sobre escriben los archivos o copian el archivo en esa carpeta (el archivo del teclado del premiere 1.5) abren premier pro 2.0 y activan el teclado que usaran.
2 en el caso de cualquier archivo incluso imagenes fijas premiere pro trae una opcion de bajarlas automaticamente al time line poniendoles una transicon de default, asi si tienes 500 fotos o videos los seleccionas en el proyecto y le oprimes ese boton y listo te pone trancisiones de audio y video automaticamente(el boton esta en la parte de proyecto cerca de donde esta crear carpeta y tirar a la basura es un iconito pequeñito y creo que por eso no lo conocen)
