Hold Button Doesn't Work for Random Periods of Time

Over the past few months I have been having massive issues with my ipod.
It all started about 4 months ago when the hold function, without me turning it on with the switch, began to turn itself on. This would happen at random periods, for random periods. Sometimes it goes on for a couple of hours, sometimes for a couple of seconds. When the ipod began to get this problem I had been using it consistently for about a year.
Resetting it does not help - I have tried it countless times. I have noticed it tends to do it more when the battery is not full, but it still has issues when it is. I tried restoring it last night to no avail - it didn't fix the problem.
My warranty has expired so I don't wish to waste my time and money sending it to apple if it is a simple issue.
Does anyone know what's causing the problem? Anyone have a DIY solution?

i used my ipod for a while. and yesterday it was on low battery, very low.
and the HOLD button, doesnt worked!
i charged my ipod but the hold button never work again!!

No, it does not. That is why iTunes does not recognize it.
The iPod turns on when you plug it in because it is getting power from the cable. This does not mean the computer recognizes it.

The back button doesn't work for some websites after downloading version 4.0

I recently downloaded firefox version 4.0. Upon downloading it I had a few issues occur with my browser. One issue was that all of my bookmarks that were on my toolbar disappeared. Also, when I visit a website and am browsing through it, if I want to go back to a previous page the back button doesn't work properly. Instead of sending me back to the previous page I was viewing it sends me all the way back to the home page or wherever I started on that website. This problem basically affects all websites that I visit. I would like to uninstall the new version of firefox and just go back to my old one if that's possible? Thanks

To respond to your comments first of all, the Bookmarks toolbar has been removed in Firefox 4.0
The back button should work as it normally does, but you can also right click it and select it from the list.
To revert to a previous version of Firefox, download v3.6.16 from here: [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html Download Firefox v3.6.16]
Then uninstall Mozilla Firefox 4.0 choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc.
Finally run the Firefox installation file you downloaded earlier.

Hold button doesn't work

I have an almost 1 year old 5th generation iPod.
When I move the hold button so the iPod will be on hold, the wheel doesn't lock nor does the lock appear on the iPod. This happens irregularly. So I might be using my iPod one day and the hold button works, and then an hour later it doesn't. But now it's not working at all.
I always try restarting the iPod but nothing happens.

I'VE FIXED IT!
IMine has been locked for 2 days... I researched the nnet for Hacks and other things and finally found some other folk with the same problem. After trying the press 'the side till it clicks' trick, (didn't work... no click) I kept experimenting with various firm but gentle presses... on side, back, etc etc... In the end this is what I did to unlock it...
* Place "Locked in Hold" iPod on it's edge on a firm desk.
* Glently but firmly press down on the edge with the palm of my hand, squeezing the unit against a desk...
* and at the same time, stroke the touch wheel...
* When (if?) the backlight comes on the iPod starts to respond to the touch wheel...
* and while still pressing firmly, move the hold switch from On to Off!
Take care not to slip and slam your unit onto the desk, or do anything that could physically break anything inside, or crack the screen, etc.
I recommend you avoid anything to do with screwdrivers

The browser's back button doesn't work for portlet navigation

I developed a simple portlet that uses webflow navigation to navigate within a
portlet. I made this portlet visible on a portal's home page. When I view my
main portal page, the URL is "http://localhost:7501/samplePortal/index.jsp "
In this page I can see my portlet. When I click on a link inside of the portlet,
it takes me to the page I want. Then, when I click the browser's back button
to go back to the previous page(main portal page), it doesn't work. The URL changes
back to "http://localhost:7501/samplePortal/index.jsp", but portlet itself doesn't
take me to the previous page. Anybody have any ideas? I am guessing it's because
the wfevent is null, but how do I resolve this problem?

I was able to get the back button to work for portals by commenting out the following
lines in the portal.jsp:
// prevent caching these pages at clients.
// response.setHeader("Cache-Control", "no-cache"); // HTTP 1.1
// response.setHeader("Pragma", "no-cache"); // HTTP 1.0
// response.setDateHeader("Expires", 0); // prevents caching at proxy
I also made sure my browser was set to allow the caching of pages.
You are having problems, because we set the response headers to tell the browser
to not cache the portal pages, and the portlet state has not changed back to it's
original state.

The macbook pro keyboard media buttons doesn't work for itunes

There is a few things I will suggest to hopefully fix this issue for you.
1. Is mass storage mode currently enabled when you hook your BlackBerry to the Mac? If not please read KB13564.
2. Is your iTunes updated to the very latest version?
3. Verify that your media card has a sufficient amount of memory available for the playlists. To check this, perform the following:

Shutdown button doesn't work for sleeping from the home screen.

I removed all the export code, now when the Page loads. When I click on the export/print button still nothing happens.

How to get itunes downloaded on my computer. The Download button doesn't work for me.

I seem to be unable to download the latest version of itunes. What can I do to fix this?

I've been trying to organize all my music, making
sure artist and album are filled in, everything
spelled correctly. I'm not able to change some
things because iTunes can't locate the file on my
computer. So is there a way for iTunes to search my
entire computer for every music file and import
everything it finds? This would make my life so much

I'm trying to add album artwork as well. How come
some say "Album Artwork Not Modifiable"?

IF you delete it from Music (eg library) it goes to recycle bin (iTunes asks you if you want this...). YOu still have to empty the Recyle Bin to have it be totally gone.

Try pressing it in the Firefox menu, no dice. Going into Options, and finding 'manage add-ons' in there works, but opens a new window. I usually drag the only tab of this new window into the existing window to work, but the issue stands.

Form_URN doesn't work for the first few times on android, and doesn't work completely on iphone.

I used approval workflow in my workflow and modified the content in the email sent by system to users. I used hyperlink to setup a clickable letter to Current Task : Form_URN. (everything under workflow 2010 and SP 2013 online )
After that, I initiated some new items in the list and the email got sent to users. On android phone, I was able to click on the link created by current task: Form_URN and it leads me to log in, after I log in it leads me to a black website of my sharepoint
site. I noticed the URL is correct (which means if I use the url on my computer, it will lead me to the place I want it to be, which is the approve or reject the workflow) after a few times of sending request, suddenly it worked on my android phone.
(no idea what happened). But then I did the same test on iphone, it kept leading me to the blank site, and never worked in the end, the link is still correct. Is it a browser thing? Is it possible to fix it?

For issues with video resolution not being consistent, I would start with resetting the NVRAM on your MacBook Pro. That will reset the resolution to its default as well as resetting other default settings like sound volume and start up volume. Since I updated Firefox to its newest version, regardless of the application I am in, it will work for a period of time, and then it will stop responding. I constantly have to use "force quit" because Firefox does not respond.

It especially happens when I am in the Walden University website.

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab of Activity Monitor, are there a lot of Pageouts?
