  • IPad mini home button replacement cost?

I'm out of warranty , how much is the cost to change the home button on an iPad mini and the time it takes to repair

I would assume that the Home button replacement would fall under Apple's fixed repair rate of $199 (out of warranty)

In the interim of replacing your Home button, you can use AssistiveTouch which floats a virtual button on-screen which can mimic all hardware buttons on the device, including the Home button.
I personally use AssistiveTouch all the time, just to prevent wear and tear on my Home button...I seldom use the actual hardware Home button...you can even do a device reset (press & hold both Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for ~15 seconds) using the AssistiveTouch button if your Home button is bad (but not if your Sleep/Wake button is bad).
    Settings>General>Accessibility>AssistiveTouch: turn ON
*Note* If you power off the device using the AssistiveTouch panel (tap the on-screen AssistiveTouch button, Device>Lock Screen (tap and hold to power off)), you will NOT be able to power on the device if your Sleep/Wake (power) button is not functioning. You will need to connect the powered off device either to a PC's USB port or an external charger to power the device back on.

  • Home Button Replacement Cost?

I've tried searching for how much it costs to get the home button replaced, and by Apple, not a third party-but with no luck.
Does anyone know how much it actually costs? The phone is under warranty, but they won't do anything about it because the previous owner did something to the phone that, I'm guessing voided the warranty. The button sometimes doesn't work at all, and it's getting rediculous. I restored as new, and it works a lot better, but I just rather have it replaced so I don't have to worry as much about the issue.

I was actually at an apple store two weeks ago, and that's when I found out they will not do anything unless I pay for it. The woman who helped me said the previous owner messed with phone, which I know about because he replaced the original home button himself. Too lazy to go to the apple store I guess. My issue last time was and still is the back glass is making a clicking noise when I lightly press down on it. It comes and goes from time to time.
I just don't want a third party iPhone repair store messing with my iPhone.

  • Home button replacement cost for iPod touch 5

How much does it cost to have the home button replaced on an iPod touch 5?

If not underwarranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs. They do not fix yours.

  • Issues with battery and home button replacement programme

    Hi!
I've just found out I'm eligible for iPhone 5 battery and home button replacement programme. I have replaced screen after it broke, 2 months ago in an unauthorised service. Every single authorised service I've called refuses to replace them for free with an explanation that my phone is no longer eligible for free batt. and home button replacement due to unauthorised screen replacement that leads to warrantee loss .
My iPhone's warrantee has expired long time ago, since I've bought it in 2013. , but this mistake was made in a factory, prior to my screen replacement. What shall I do?

Yes, that is correct. You can try asking if you can pay to replace the screen and see if they will then handle the other issues. But, I doubt they'll agree.

  • How much is a home button replacement

Need to know how much it is to replace my iPhone 4s home button

Apple does not repair iPhones, but will replace the entire iPhone for a flat fee; see the Out-of-warranty pricing section here, selecting your country and repair type as appropriate:
    http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/repair/
There are independent iPhone repair services that may be able to replace the home button for less. Do a web search for "iPhone repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPhone serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further support from Apple will be voided.
    Regards.

  • 5s home button replacement

I have no idea how but my home button is cracked! Touch ID does not show up in settings any more. The Genius Bar said it was accidental damage and it would cost me 269 dollars. I would like to know if I replace it will it still read my fingers or is there a way to "calibrate" it so that it will be able to read. Thanks for any help!

If you mean that you wish to attempt your own repairs, we cannot help you with that since Apple does not consider the iPhone to be user-servicable. You can ask for advice on ifixit.com, a site dedicated to those attempting their own repairs, but be aware that if you or any other unauthorized person or shop attempt repairs on the iPhone, that will void any futher support from Apple even if you are willing to pay.
    Regards.

  • How can I fix a sluggish home button?

I had just gotten my iPhone 5, which also had a sluggish home button, replaced due to a scratched camera lens, and I just brought home my replacement iPhone today. I noticed happily that the home button now responded a lot faster, suspecting a hardware issue in the first one I had. After restoring from a backup, however, the home button is now as sluggish as my first iPhone, so I am 100% certain that it was never a hardware issue. Right now, I am assuming it is because of the backup, so what is in my backup that is causing this, and is my only possible solution to start fresh?

That's an ongoing problem with this recent version of iPhoto as you can see from the topics at the right under "More Like This".  The workaround that works for all is to export the photos to a folder on the Desktop and upload to Facebook with your browser until a fix is found.

  • Power and Home Button No Longer Work On Iphone 5, Fixable?

My power and home button are no longer functioning. Volume works. I'm currently using the phone by plugging it in and out to access the unlock screen. Once in I use the accessibility option that adds a home button to the touchscreen. I'm wondering if anyone knows what the issue could be. Holding power and home does not work.
Would replacing the home button ribbon help? I don't see it since they both quit working at the same time. What binds the two together? Do they share a connector? Could it be a software issue? Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

There are many videos and guides about that, you can do it by yourself, its simple if your pattient, you can buy the replacement on ebay or in ifixit.com
this is the guide, hope it can help you.

  • Stuck home button, Apple store say they cant help

My home button is stuck in the down position.
Went into Apple store and because the phone is over 12 months they said they couldnt help.
I still have several months of my 24 month contract but the phone isnt up to the longevity to match.
Wont be getting another Apple product when my contract expires
    Rubbish product/rubbish service
    Anyobe else experience similar?

You can do an out-of-warranty replacement of your product at an Apple Store for $149 USD. Did they not offer to do this?
You can go to a 3rd party repair site and have just the home button replaced for less but this will eliminate the ability in the future to do an out-of-warranty replacement.
Against the terms of use here to do a poll but since you asked the question have I ever had a product fail after the warranty ended and couldn't get it fixed under warranty that would be a very long list and would include products from Samsung, Nokia, Motorola, etc. Before you purchase your next phone ask what the length of the warranty is and then ask if they will fix your device for free after the warranty expires. If they say yes get it in writing.

  • How much would it be to replace an iPhone 5s home button?

My phone received some water damage and it looks like the home button needs to be replaced. Anybody know how much it would cost to replace?

If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead, they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
ATTN: Beginning July 2013 Apple Stores are now equipped to do screen repairs/replacements in-house on iPhone 5s. In some cases while you wait. According to Apple this is the beginning of equipping Apple Stores with the resources needed to do most repairs for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches that would not require major replacements. Later in the year the services may be extended as Apple Stores become equipped and staffed with the proper repair expertise. So, if you need a screen repaired or a broken screen replaced or have your stuck Home button fixed, call your local Apple Store to see if they are now doing these in-house.

Hi it's me rabia and i'm apple user
I want to change my cell phone because it's having scratches on it and i also feel like its home button did't work correctly
So i want to know that can i have a new cell phone on replace of this one at any nearby of my house App store without any cost  ?
But i'm not having any line yet on my phone i use it on net mostly so what is the scene can i have or can't ??
    please inform me soon !

Is your phone still covered by warranty?  If so, go to your nearest Apple store and depending on what happened, this may or may not be covered by warranty.  If it is, then you can get a replacement exactly as the phone you already have.
If out of warranty, then there is nothing you can do and you'll have to pay.

  • My wife's new iphone4 (a replacement for a 5 month-old iphone 4 with home button issues) is not recognized by itunes. Every other ios device in the house using that computer and Apple ID is. Any suggestions?

My wife's brand new iphone4 (which was a replacement for a 4month-old iphone4 with home button issues) is not recognized by itunes. Every other ios device on  the computer/Apple ID in question is recognized and syncs perfectly. Any suggestions?

If the new phone has already been setup, make sure the phone and iTunes are both set to the same account.
You might also have to authorize this computer for the new device under the store menu.

The iPhone warranty is not international and as you purchased in
Malaysia the warranty is only valid in Malaysia
You could try taking to an iPhone Authorised service provider
in India but there have been many similar posts to yours
and I am not aware  of them assisting  with an iPhone from
    outside India
