Home hub 3 font size solved.

I was looking at home hub manager and I did something that changed the font size to weeny but I don't know what. Anyone know how to change the font size? Other web pages are fine so  I think it is just in HH manager.
S'ok i sussed it.

I seem to have same problem - how did you solve it.  When I open emails the font size is perfect it is just on the left hand size where inbox, sent etc. and list of emails - font size tiny can hardly read it

1.I have changed the chord , Connectivity established. So there was some problem with brand new connecting chord which I had to throw away.
2.Font size on home screen can not be increased on this model.  So I have downloaded the  calendar theme with bigger fonts for greater visibility.

  • Infinity Home Hub

Hi  Next week all being well I have Infinity installed by an BT engineer.   Can someone tell me please where the Open Reach Modem and the BT Home Hub will be placed.  I would think that the Modem would be close to the entry into the property and the Home Hub close to the computer.  The reason for asking is that I may go for BT Vision, and I would have to have a Ethernet link between the TV and Home Hub.
    Ta,
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The modem will usually be placed where your master socket is.  They should move the master socket or add a data extension kit if asked; but some installers are unwilling to do so.
You can run and ethernet cable of any reasonable length between the modem and HomeHub: the installer won't do it for you.  Similarly for any ethernet you may want from HomeHub to TV.
Depending on how much time you have, it may be best to keep the HomeHub near the modem for the initial install, as long as you have some device (laptop?) you can conveniently use to verify the install.  Then move the HomeHub at your convenience later.  Moving the modem after install is more of an issue, and any extra wiring involved could reduce your speeds.

The general opinion is that the HH5 is worse than the HH4, especially for wireless coverage, so I would still keep hold of the HH4.
I think that may overstate the position a little. Certainly, in my own case I have both a HH4 and a HH5 and I use the HH5 from choice (by itself - not plugged in to the Openreach modem). I can't say that I've noticed any difference between the two hubs when it comes to wireless coverage and the connection using the HH5 is just a little bit faster. Of course, other people may have different experiences.

  • Font size on home screen (Dimension Today theme)

Is there any way to INCREASE the font size?
    Ness

Theme dictates default the font types to be displayed in different scenario. If you change the font size from Options --> Screen/Keybord it will affect everything but on home screen it will remain as it is and it can't be changed.

  • How do I increase font size on the Home Page and E-Mail messages screens?

I just downloaded Firefox and made it my default browser as I am having so many problems with IE 9. I am old and gray-headed and not techy. I would like to view my home page (Yahoo.com) and my E-mail correspondence in at least a size 12 Font. I went through all the option lists I could find with font size and think I saved, but nothing has happened to help me increase the font. I replied to an e-mail and set the font size at 12 but it is still as tiny as this message.
I have tired, dry eyes. Can you help me, please?

It isn't an issue. It's been that way since they came out with the first notebook computer. If this was so critical to your decision then why did you not check it out at an Apple Store first? When you buy sight unseen, then any problems you encounter not due to factory defects are your problems.
You can try zooming the higher resolution scheme or look at what's available to you in Accessibility preferences.

It is web-mail using Firefox. Thanks for any help you might suggest.

  • [SOLVED] Font size issue since recent update

    I swear I'm going insane.
Since the last round of upgrades (including a kernel update, an nvidia driver update and xorg 1.8) my fonts seem larger and programs which start up windowed (e.g. sakura) are taking up more screen space than before.
xrandr correctly returns my screen resolution (1440x900). Following the instructions for checking if xorg has correctly detected DPI, it seems everything is in order. All I had to do to get things more or less back to normal was to set my fonts to be a size lower (in obconf and lxappearance) - but at size 7 for everything now where before I was on 9.
Please tell me I'm going nuts and imagining things, or alternatively if you have any suggestions for what might have happened.
    Thanks.

I agree with brebs, especially since setting my screen to the correct DPI recently involved changing to font size 7 to make things look right again
you could check Xorg.0.log.old maybe to see what was being set for dpi, or if you really wanted to, you could downgrade and see what xorg sets

  • [SOLVED] PekWM menu font size

I just installed a new theme (it's called Case) to use with PekWM and it is pretty ideal for me. However, the menu's font size is really, really small. After delving into Case's theme file, I found some "$font" strings, but I cannot find where font is originally defined. Changing the font in lxappearance does not effect the theme's font, either.
    Any pointers?

Thank you Jean-Paul, I cannot believe I missed that.
After reloading PekWM, the font appears bigger, but now my submenus are cut-off. For instance, while the first menu should say "Development" only "Develop" fits. Similarly, "VLC media player" only reads "VLC media".
Does this also have to do with the first line in the theme? I'm not exactly sure how to proceed.
Edit: On restart, everything looks normal. I probably should have checked that first. Anyway, thanks for your help.

  • [SOLVED] Urxvt increasing font size problems.

    Hello,
I'm having some problems getting Urxvt to increase my terminus font size.
I have installed aur/urxvt-font-size-git and have the following in my .Xdefaults:
    URxvt.keysym.Control-Up: \033[1;5A
    URxvt.keysym.Control-Down: \033[1;5B
    URxvt.keysym.Control-Left: \033[1;5D
    URxvt.keysym.Control-Right: \033[1;5C
    URxvt.iso14755: false
    URxvt.iso14755_52: false
    URxvt.keysym.Control-minus: perl:font-size:increase
    URxvt.keysym.Control-equal: perl:font-size:decrease
    URxvt.keysym.Shift-Control-V: perl:clipboard:paste
    URxvt.perl-ext-common: default,clipboard
    URxvt.font: xft:terminus:size=9
    !URxvt.font: -xos4-terminus-bold-r-normal--12-120-72-72-c-60-iso8859-1
    URxvt.antialias: false
    Running
    xrdb ~/.Xdefaults && urxvt
returns no errors, however Control-Minus/Equal do not increase my font size. I have tried swapping the URxvt.font values between the commented/uncommented lines but it still doesn't work.
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks
Edit: I am using I3 as my WM and I don't have any mappings that would conflict.

Looking at the wiki entry for this extension, it appears that you're missing font-size in this line. Try adding it and seeing if it helps.
Wow, can't believe I missed that. Thanks!

  • [SOLVED] A) Xfce tips: how to stop, B) terminal font size: how to set.

    Hi Archers,
Installed Arch with Xfce on my T43 Thinkpad about 6 weeks ago. Takes a bit more attention during the install process, but to be honest, this extra time is well worth the enjoyment of a system that is so simple that it just runs with little or no hassle so far. (Enjoyment - can you actually 'enjoy' an os/distro? Lol). Pacman is wonderful. And the AUR is great. Even _I_ have managed to build a few packages out of there (which is pretty impressive for me anyway ). Not as daunting as it first seems! Thanks goes out to all you Archers!
There is one thing that I haven't been able to work out yet. When I login in, the Xfce 'Tips & Tricks' window pops up. Now there is a box that you can tick to not show it at future login, but it keeps coming back at every startup like some ghost from the past.
I also want to change the font size in terminal, and I can change it for the length of my desktop session, but the next time I log back in it is back to the default size again. FYI, when logging out of Xfce I am ticking the save session box, and it is working as it reopens whatever programs that I had open when I shutdown.
    So I was thinking:
Do I need to be added to a particular group to allow these settings to be updated? Currently I am a member of the following groups: wheel network video audio optical storage power users slocate abs.
Or are the settings not 'sticking' due to incorrect permissions on the respective config files somewhere? (Where?)
Any ideas? It's probably something very simple that is staring me in the face, but right now I am at a loss.
    Cheers,

OK, so after peeking through those directories and opening a few files to see what's inside, I found the files I needed to attack: ~/.config/Terminal/terminalrc and ~/.config/autostart/xfce4-tips-autostart.desktop
Both the directories and the files had root as the owner. Changing them so I was the owner fixed the problem. Actually, as soon as I changed terminalrc, the terminal resized to the setting I wanted. The setting was already correct in the file from me trying to change it at some point in the desktop, but as the owner of the file was root, the system couldn't access it. Weird. I thought that if the owner was root, the file couldn't have been changed from the desktop? It was the same with the xfce4-tips file as well. When I checked inside the files to work out which ones were which, I noticed that this also had already changed to the correct setting, it just couldn't be read by the system. Does anyone know why this would happen?
Well, I better not strain my little brain too hard. I am just glad I managed to fix it.
    Thanks ataraxia for your help!

  • When we increase font size image also increase and becomes blurred, how to solve this?

When we increase font size then image also become large and that's why they becomes blurred, there should be a way to increase only font size not image or symbols, so that they will clear.
I think in safari i saw this feature.

hello pandeyvinod.india, press alt in order to show the menu bar and go to ''view > zoom'' where you can select to only zoom text.

  • [Solved] Seeking solution to increase the font size in a base install

I recently installed Arch onto a machine with the following hardware/software
    i686 AMD Semprom 3600+
    ATI Radeon RS690 [X1200 series]
    NEC Multisync E1100+ monitor
    xf86-video-ati video driver
    Kernel 2.6.37-ARCH
It works nicely.  That is not the problem - I cannot see well enough to read the very tiny console font.
I tried grub VGA setting but as soon as UDEV got hold of the machine the font went small again.
I tried setfont -h## but I probably do not know enough about that from reading the man page to
    correctly set the font.
I would like to have a larger font size - that is make an "m" triple or double it's default size.
I have tried to puzzle through the boot process but can't seem to get a handle on a good way,
or any way to change this.  I am having problems getting the menus to work in xorg and need to
use the command line to fix the problems.
    Any pointers would be appreciated.
    Thanks
