HOME HUB - EVENT LOG - TECHNICAL HELP PLEASE

Hello. I am trying to investigate why my BB usage is so high and have come across some recorded event entries in the 'event log' which I would like explained. Is there an expert/moderator  who can help please? What I am trying to establish is whether these entries could mean that there are outside users, using our broadband via P2P/Skype etc?.     edit the post as you're showing your VOIP number (If your BBT number starts 01).
    AFAIK it's something to do the hub phone set up BUT I'm not too sure.

  • Stuck on apple logo and Home button doesn't work, help please?

    Well, I dropped my iPod Touch 4g by accident and since that day, the home button hasn't really been working that well. Its very hard to use since you have to press it in really hard to get it to work and sometimes it doesn't even work at all. Anways, I was skyping with my girl and I didn't notice that I had to charge the iPod and it died on me so I was like what ever its normal and started to charge it. When it turned on, it got stuck on the Apple logo and its been there for more than a day now? What can I do? I know about the Press Home + Sleep button together but the Home button doesn't work at all anymore. I tried everything really. I tried to connect it to itunes and see if I could restore it but it won't recognize it no matter where I connect it. Tried it on 3 different computers and none worked at all.  I can't take it to an Apple store since there isn't any close to where I live and I really don't have anyone to take me there. So is there any other solution to fix my problem at home? or is it messed up completely? Someone please help me

    I have this same issue. But also, it isn't just that the lock/home button stops working, all buttons stop working. Even if you switch it to silent sounds are still played. I just got my iphone Thursday. Went to school the next day and pulled it out, it happened while it was locked I guess because my screen was black and I couldn't do anything! Thought it died already! This was around 12. Finally I pulled it out of my pocket again at around 3 and it showed the Apple logo and acted like it had just started back up. Which is what always happens after I get stuck playing a game or something. Help please, has happened two or three times just today.

  • Firefox 3.6 keeps crashing on opening. Can't open in safe mode, can't see crash logs. HELP please.

    Firefox worked fine last night. No changes/downloads but today it keeps crashing when opening. I downloaded new 3.6 version for mac but same problem. Tried to open in safe mode by going to the terminal and typing /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -safe-mode but nothing happens. Tried to see my crash reports as per the mozilla (/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Crash Reports/submitted) but the folders don't exist.

  • My Home sharing stopped working randomly. help please

    I have tried everything.
    I first started with the basics.  Turning off home sharing on all devices, and turning it back on.
    Still no go.
    So, then I tried deauthorizing/reauthorizing computer with library. Nope.
    next I restarted my entire network and all devices.
    Still not working.
    Next I updated my router firmware.  nope.
    I disabled TCPIPv6 on my computer with the library.
    Next I restarted the bonjour service.
    Finally, I reinstalled Itunes entirely.
    ABSOLUTLY NOTHING has fixed this issue.  I am going crazy.  Home sharing still refuses to work.
    Please help!

    Just fixed it.
    While home sharing was turned on in preferences, I guess that was a gigantic lie.
    I had to pres Alt, then go to file, home sharing and chose turn on home sharing.
    Again, in the preferences section, it was on, but aparently, it actually was not.  I hope this can help someone else.
    2 hours of my life wasted.
    You'd think a company that prides itself on being user friendly wouldn't make this so rediculious.

  • Problems with BT Home Hub Phone 2.1 help!

    I've been having problems with my Hub phone 2.1 handset for weeks now. A catalougue of woes: 1. It doesn't ring properly with incoming calls- It starts to ring but then there's a horrible highpitched feedback noise and then the handset resets itself. Impossible for people to reach me. I have to call everyone back. 2. It doesn't charge properly. It makes the "bleep" noise when placed on the cradle but stops charging after a few moments. Sometimes it makes the bleep at random times. Often the phone has been on the charging cradle all night but will cut out during a 5 minute call because the battery is flat as a pancake! Which leads to... 3. The phone will cut out at random times during a call (even if the battery is showing full). There's the horrible feedback noise and the phone resets itself again. This happens whenever I use speaker phone too. The Hub and handset are less than two years old and broadband and all the rest of it seem absolutley fine. It's just the handset. Any advice please? Thanks! )

    Change the rechargeable batteries, sometimes they don`t last very long, their capacity reduces and there is not enough power to operate the handset properly.
    Try to find ones with a higher capacity, as they do seem to work much better. I have four hub phones, and the original batteries lasted about a year. The replacements I fitted are fine.

  • After new hard drive, Leopard installed, cannot log in - Help Please!

    The local Apple store installed a new hard drive and Leopard on my G5 desktop yesterday. I attempted to restore my applications and documents, using Time Machine from my external G-Drive but am getting the message "you may need to enter the name and password for an administrator on this computer to change the item (Turbo Tax Premier 2007)". I also tried to install the application iWork which I purchased and it too would not let me because it was asking for a password. I typed my old password and user name that I had given to the Apple store (they asked me for it) but it was not accepted or recognized. Should I return to the Apple store and let them do this for me, or is there a reason my password and user name is not being recognized? Also, I do not have the Leopard DVD that they installed from to make any changes or reset the password (I have the original Leopard that I purchased when it became available but hesitate to use it since it caused my Mail App to become corupt which was the reason I went to the Apple Store in the first place as my other Leopard applications and system seemed to be working ok - but when they attempted to reinstall the OS, that's when they called me and said I needed a new hard drive since the attempted installation failed.) Sorry about rambling on, but wanted to give you as much info as possible about my situation and would appreciate any suggestions and help.
    Will I have to reinstall all my applications such as Quicken, TurboTax, iLife, ect or should they be restored from my G-Drive? I'm worried about loosing my "documents" as they were created using the older "Appleworks" application; that's why I purchased iWork, to transfer them to.

  • I´ve just transferred all my information and set up from my old Mackbook to my new  Mackbook Air. When finished I tried to go in (my user name was transferred correctly), after typing my password a message said could not log in. help please

    I had my old Mac with filevault protected so I disabled the filevault to remigrate my info.  but when I srtarted using the migration assistant it is taking too long time looking for computers with no more progress...so I can´t remigrate and of course the new mac air does not allow me log in.

    All I had to do was complain.  I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store.  I have no idea why.

  • Home Hub 5 Cable lenght help

    Hi, I'ver just taken delivery of my HH5 replacing my HH3. I'm not wanting to disturb the cabling to much !!!. My existing white modem is installed (close to my telephone socket) but quite a distance from the existing HH3.
    The cable supplied with the new HH5 is not long enough to reach the location I require the HH5 to be situated.
    Can I purchase a longer cable (this needs to be at least 4 meters long) if so would anyone know what spec I would require and the name of the ends (eg RJ45's RJ11's). Also would the length affect broadband speeds.

    Hi there,
    What I suggest you do is simply buy a new ethernet lead in the required length and connect one end to the LAN1 port on the white OpenReach modem and the other to the WAN port on the HH5.
    There's a few listed on amazon, here.
    Also, to answer your question, the length of the cable will not affect your speed.

    You're on a long line and your connection looks to keep dropping? Your profile is low, but with 3 -5 days uninterrupted connection that should rise to 1000kbps (1meg).  First of all we need to solve your dropping connection, your output power also looks worryingly low.
    Can I ask what type of master socket do you have?

  • I have a 4th generation iPod and it says iPod is disabled connect to iTunes, but it won't connect to iTunes or my computer. we've tried holding the power button and home button but nothing works. help please!!

    I need to know how to rest my iPod when it won't conner to iTunes and says its disabled.

    Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
    iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
    If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes       
    If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
    You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:                         
    Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store        
    If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

    At the time there were no active PC's powered on. What does the entry "[CWMP] Connection Request NOT ALLOWED." indicate? It appears that a warm reset was trigered.

    CWMP is BTs remote configuration system which is used to change certain settings within the home hub, for some reason it forced a restart.
    It may be worth resetting the home hub to factory default, as the configuration may be corrupted.
