  • [Microsoft Store][Profile][Billing] How Do I Change Country/Residence for Microsoft Account? Editing Your Microsoft Account Profile for Microsoft Store. SOLVED: Change Home Location

    Hello,
I am experiencing problems with using my Microsoft Account for billing and purchasing apps in Windows store.
I am using my old WLID that I've created several years ago, and I have obsolete information including my country residence there. Now when I go to
    https://billing.microsoft.com, I see that I have 2 profiles:
    Personal profile: US
    Business profile: Russia.
Now the problem is that I want my personal profile be changed to Russia as well. Having US in the profile makes it impossible to make purchases from Microsoft Store because Store does not allow for changing country when making purchases via PayPal.
    Currently I have this information:
I need the Country/Residence information to be changed to Russia. How do I do that?
    I am stuck.
How do I change country for my Microsoft Account?
If it's not possible, would I be able to continue using my Microsoft Account with old residence/country information while making purchases through a new Microsoft account where I have specified my current residence?
Or is it the same as with Windows Phone 7:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2692008
If yes, do I understand that I have to start all my 'virtual living' from scratch to use Microsoft Store? In other words, do I have to sign-in into Windows 8 with a new Microsoft Account that will have Russia specified as a Country/Region to purchase apps
    from Microsoft Store?
If yes, can I use this new account only for purchasing apps while continuing to use my old account or all purchased apps are strictly tied to this new Microsoft Account I will use for purchasing?
    Thank you.
Well this is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given...

    Hello,
    Thanks to
this post @ Microsoft Answers, I was able to make Microsoft Store use correct information of my current country residence.
//The drawback in my case was that I lost the possibility to pay with Paypal, although Paypal supports payments in Russia, and, most importantly, I lost access to US marketplace, all comments/reviews are now in Russian. What a bummer! Honestly, I'd
like to have access to US store... Seems like the only workaround it to switch Home location for the time I purchase an app and change back when the app is purchased.
To change the Country/region data used for Payment and Billing in Microsoft Store,
Press WindowsKey+W to show Start screen and focus on searching in
    Settings.
Type 'region' (without quotes) and open Region dialog box when found.
In the Region dialog switch to Location tab and change the country of choice in the
    Home location drop-down list.
Click OK to apply changes and make them effective.
Open Store and press WindowsKey+I to show settings charms then choose
    Your account.
In the Your account screen click Add payment method to configure your payment settings that will be used for purchasing apps from Windows Store.
    Notice Country/region value has changed.
This country will be specified in Country/residence within Payment and Billing in Microsoft Store app.

  • Use UNC path from Active Directory to derive network home location

    Good Morning
I am trying to get my Macbooks to conenct to a Windows Server 2003 home directory. I have followed the steps in the following article with no luck:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=serveradmin/10.4/en/c7od49.html
I can bind to the Microsoft Active Directory with no problems and I can connect to the file share on the server that I want to make the network home location, but I can't get it to work automatically as I would expect it to.
We will have hundreds of users connecting that will need their home folders redirected to the network folder location.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I forgot to mention that before upgrading to 10.8.4 the login item below was present:
    Item: SMB://network path
    Kind: Unknown
    After the upgrade:
    Item: Unknown
    Kind: Unknown
After restart it disappears and never returns (again, this only occurs for admins)

  • Home Location Problem in OVI MAP

    Hi,
I have set the home location to a non-street point near  a road to check if it can route to it.  As this was not a valid street name so I choose my current location from map.
When I ask to go DRIVE HOME, it say no route found. I try to chane the HOME LOCATION, as soon as I click on HOME LOCATION, program crash.
Is there any other way to set HOME LOCATION ?   or  to reset MAPs setting only ?
    Regards,
    Zeeshan.

Well, what you can do is to go to Menu>Applications>Location>Landmarks, delete your Home location, recreate it and redefine.
If it still does not work, delete your the cities folder and qf files in your phone and memory card, then reopen the maps. You may lose all your locations in this way, so I suggest you write down all your favorites. Avoid restoration in this case.
In case the above does not work, delete the cities and qf files again, uninstall maps and reinstall.

  • Home location in Reminders

since the Maps app elsewhere but it the US just doesn't work; by that I mean it doesn't find any addresses at all, I figured I had to pinpoint my home location in the map, and add it as is to my own contact as my home address.
By doing this, I wanted the reminders app to KNOW where my home was in order to set geo referenced reminders such as "remind me to call XXX when arriving home".
well, I am just puzzled that it goes all the way to somewhere in Spain where there is a street named PERU, which is my home country. Yes, I have made sure that in my contact, the country name IS actually Peru, as set automatically by the maps app.
Can anyone sort an idea or a solution to this annoying malfunction?

Go to Settings - then Mail, Contacts, Calendar - then scroll down near bottom and find "My Info" and press right > and pick your name within the Contact list ... Verify that the label for your home address
    says "Home" not "Work"
If the label is wrong that will also be wrong in Reminders....if so, edit your Contact address and change the label!
Once you complete any editing, select your Contact and it will change "My Info" and your Reminder Home address will be correct.

  • How do I establish or change my "Home" location in the Mavericks Maps app?

In the Maps app in Mavericks my "Home" location is completely wrong, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change it.
The address itself, as it's expressed in text, is correct. But the location on the map in terms of where the address is located is entirely wrong.
How do I alter the location of "Home" in the Maps app to establish the correct location.
I have sumitted an error report to Apple to identify the problem. But this seems to be a futile effort, since I did the same thing when the Maps app was released for iPhone over a year ago and there's been no adjustment made.
So I'm looking for a way to manually correct my "Home" location on the map. Anyone know how to do this?

I have the same or similar wierd problem. For some reason, maps (and calendar when calculating travel time) believe I live some 80 km south of what I do. In another town, a street that doesn't have a similar name to mine. The address in contacts is correct. When I search for that address in maps it shows the correct address. If I type "home" in maps' search field it shows 2 homes, the wrong one and the good one (with the adress wrote). I have no idea how the wrong home got in there and how to get rid of it...
Calendar always uses of course the wrong home to calculate travel times...

    Hello
I have recently purchased Nokia Lumia 925. How can i setup Home Location in Nokia Drive +.
    Thanks
    Pavan

There's no "home" setting in Here Drive, but you can rename a saved destination to "Home" and use it.
I guess the following articles will be helpful to understand here drive basics

  • Change Documents location without moving entire home location

OK, heres the situation. I am setting up Macs at a school that uses Active Directory. We have a XServe. They want the OSX Documents location to be the AD network home location.
Easy enough and i can set this up no problems, but we don't want the entire OSX home folder to move, just the documents.
The pupils use the same username on both windows and OSX so we want exactly the same documents folder on both OS's. Sounds like it should be simple right!
    Current setup:-
AD/OD macs signing in using AD usernames and policies applied from xserve.
Currently i have the AD documents mounted on the doc, the only problem with this is there is no easy way to save directly to this as the AD documents folder is several folders down the list on the windows server.
All Mac's and the Xserve are running latest versions of OSx..
Windows is handling the DHCP and DNS. Xserve has AFP SMB and OD setup on it.
Any help greatly received as i am mainly a windows guy, on a steep learning curve on Macs.

How are the shares named? Are they all on the same directory? Such as "smb://student/server/student_name ?
What about the AD? Are the login names the same as the name of the student's share?
If so, you can try writing a login script that grabs the name of the user that just logged in, using the $1 variable, and have it create a symbolic link. I'm not to familiar with login scripts, but something along the lines of this should do:
    *sudo mount smb://student/server/$1*
    *ln -s /Users/$1/Documents /Volumes/$1/Documents/*
Once again, I would have someone check that, since I am not to familiar with login scripts.
Also, take a look at this, it may be helpful. http://www.thursby.com/products/admitmac.html

  • WebLogic server home location

I was trying to install WebLogic server 10 g.There I got page where they were asking to enter WebLogic server home location.
Which ever location i am giving , it is showing not a server home location.
Can you plz help me out?
What does WebLogic server home location exactly mean?
How to install WebLogic server 10 g?

    Hi,
The WebLogic home is the root directory in which Oracle WebLogic Server is installed. A WebLogic Server home contains installed files necessary to host a WebLogic Server. The WebLogic Server home directory is a peer of Oracle home directories and resides within the directory structure of the Middleware home.
The WebLogic home directory contains only product binary files that are mostly read only until the files are either patched or upgraded.
    mark if this helps you.

    Kishore

  • Cannot move photo from catalogue to all pictures in "home" location

I have adobe starter edition 3, windows xp. Computer is Dell 2400 (IBM), printer is PIXMA MP530. I have some pictures on fotki that I want to place in the "home" part of ADOBE, where all of my pictures can be seen. I am able to download to desktop. It seems as if I click on the ADOBE picture album folder, the photo would replace the picture album folder. When I download to the desktop, the photo is placed in the catalogue. When I try to place it in the home location, a "cannot place in location: picture already in catalgoue" message. I cannot see the photo unless I type in the file name and search using "find". I would like to be able to see this photo in the home folder. There are too many photos that need to be downloaded (a computer accident destroyed some photos, but I can download the original photo from fotki).
How can I place the photos in the "home" loaction?

  • How do I change my "Home" location in Calendar.

Calendar thinks my "Home" location is my house in NH.  I also live in MA.  Calendar used to use my current location for calculating travel times.  Now it thinks I live in NH and uses that address for calculating travel times.  How do I have it revert to using my current address? How did it decide I lived in NH?

    Thanks iW00.
    I'll try to clarify.
In the recent past, Calendar would calculate the travel time from my current location or not at all.  Recently it changed to calculating it from my "home" address.  Using SHIFT+CMD+M I found "My Card".  It had the address Calendar was using.  I deleted that address and now Calendar either calculates the travel time from my accountant's address or not at all.
I don't want Calendar to calculate the time from "Home."  I have two homes and I'd rather have it calculate the time from my current location, as it did in the past.
    Hence my current questions:
    - How to have Calendar use my current location instead of some apparently random "home" address (like my accountants)?
    - Why does Calendar sometimes calculate travel times and other times not, having entered identical destination addresses?
    - How do I add Favorites to Maps?  (I want to add "NH House" and "MA House".)

  • At my home, Location Services work great on my iPhone but not at all on my iPad.

At my home, Location Services work great on my iPhone  but not at all on my iPad.

Check to make sure they are turned on.. Settings > Location services > ON.   You can also check to make sure certain apps you want to with location services are turned on as well!

  • Network home location

I have my macbook air (10.6.7) bound to Active Directory.  I have the Use UNC path from Active Directory to dervie network home location chosen, but my documents folder is not redirected to the smb share.

I've never tried this, but you may be able to use Carbon Copy Cloner (http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html) and backup everything to a USB/Firewire drive. Then put in your 500GB drives and restore the backup to the new drives. You then wouldn't have to create new sharepoints, everything would still be the same, just with more storage. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this though....
