Home page has wrong name on it and dont know why or how to fix this
when my husband logs into xfinity... in the little box on the upper left hand where you are supposed to be signed in... my name appears.. not his.. so he signs himself in and it goes back to my name and not his... and this is on HIS computer.. not mine.. It is driving him nuts. how do we keep him signed in?? he does get his own email.. but my name is still there..
After he signs in:
On the left side of the page, you will see the name.
CLICK the name.
His profile page will open.
Click EDIT next to the name that appears.
Change the name, click Save Settings.
If it works, there will be a name change sucessful message just above the name.
Go back to the home page.
Refresh the page to see the new name.

Until Apple resolves this problem, when you are in the App Store, if you have updates, try going to your "Purchased" Apps and you can update from there. Apps with updates will show "Update" next to them, just tap on "Update" and the update will be installed.

Hallo. I did it this several times and I have the latest update to iOS 6.0.1, but still the red mark 1 at the Settings icon. Do you have any other idea?

My macbook (purchased in 2007) Mac OSX Lion 10.7.5 camera has stopped working - tried on Skype, Facetime, and Photobooth. Any ideas how to fix this?
If restarting doesn't fix, use the relevant suggestions from Apple's How to Troubleshoot iSight. If nothing else there works, the repair by an Apple-Authorized Service Provider suggested there and by spudnuty will get it sorted.
(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD." Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)

I am running Vista and Windows Mail, I can not open PDF files when in Windows Mail, I must save to Desktop first, this has changes recently and I do not know why or how to fix.
Why after 6 year's this has changed?

Why all of a sudden am I having difficulty sending Gmail emails? I get a send error. When I run diagnostics there is a SMTP and IMAP account for Gmail and I am not sure how to fix this.

When using Connection Doctor to see what is could be causing the issue, look for the red dots to let you know what is wrong. Then all you have to do is correct that information. You can double click on the section that is giving you issue and it will take you there. Most issues could be just password being entered incorrectly. Click here and search the article for '2 out of 3' without the quotes; this generally involves either a message being sent to your rescue email address or contacting the iTunes Store staff directly.

No I didn't even read through your post, to long.
You said that "No matter what program I try to install, as soon as the installer opens it crashes". Were you talking about the install for this/these 3D programs or ANY program? As it is worded it sounded like ANY program. That tells me there is a problem with your Mac, software or hardware.
Now you say others install programs, which is it. Programs other then the 3D ones install or no programs install?
Could simply be your Mac is to old to run these programs and the installer knows that. You never said what model or year Mac it is. -
My iPhone 4S's wifi option has turned grey. Refuses to work. Suggestions on how to fix this?
My iPhone 4S is just over a year old, recently I haven't been able to grab a wifi connection, then the situation escalated where now I am unable to even switch the wifi on. The entire option has greyed out. Really appreciate suggestions, on how to fix this.
Considering only a small number of users out of the millions of iPhones sold have the issue, I would say Apple does a pretty darn good job at quality control.
Like with any product, there will always be some devices that suffer a hardware failure. -
FrutigerLTStd-Bold Cn font has wrong name in file and not installing
Just purchased FrutigerLTStd-Bold CN font. The font file name is correct, but In the font window it says the name is "Frutiger LT Std 47 Light Cn" but the font shows up as the bold one. Installed the font but it is not showing up in my font list. Think there must be an error since the wrong name is thereI already have the light one, I need the bold font. Was on hold with Chat for 30 minutes, they told me to call support. Phone and said there was a 2 hour wait - my phone battery died before I was connected. Help!

Employees are trying to open up Pages document in Pages 5.0 but it says it cannot open the file. When the right click on the file and try to open it with the older version of Pages on their computer it says the .xml file is missing. Any way to fix this?

First thing to try is Reset the Type Tool by right-clicking on its' icon in the Options bar.
If you still have problems, it could be related to fonts. Here is a step by step troubleshooting help doc for that.

my mac book pro would connect automatically to my wireless network in ny. then I went to vermont with my computer and connected to my wireless network there. when I got back to ny I changed it back to my wireless connection here but it wont stay connected. each time i go on mail it asks me to join a network. it hink i did all the right steps but it wont stay joined.
Back up all data before making any changes.

Take all the applicable steps in this support article.

If you're running OS X 10.8.4 or later, run Wireless Diagnostics and take the remedial steps suggested in the summary that appears, if any. The program also generates a large file of information about your system, which would be used by Apple Engineering in case of a support incident. Don't post the contents here.
Step 3
If you're not using a wireless keyboard or trackpad, disable Bluetooth by selecting Turn Bluetooth Off from the menu with the Bluetooth icon. If you don't have that menu, open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and check the box marked Show Bluetooth in menu bar. Test. Continue if you find that Wi-Fi is faster with Bluetooth disabled.
From that same menu, select Open Bluetooth Preferences. If the box labeled Discoverable is checked, uncheck it. Click the Advanced button, and in the sheet that opens, uncheck the top three boxes, if any are checked. Click OK. Enable Bluetooth and test again.
If the application called "Bluetooth Setup Assistant" is running, quit it.
