Home page information blocks

Hi experts,
I've embedded a widget in the home page, but it´s bigger than the default information blocks standard size.
In order to avoid the scroll, is it possible to resize Home page information blocks?
Thanks, regards.
FSA

Thanks FSA. It will be great if you can share the steps to increase the width? I want to show the BI report on Sales Home page as full width of the home page. By default, i can only integreate it either on left or right column.

  • How do I save my Earthlink Home Page information everytime I open Firefox

I use Earthlink as my Home Page, but very time I open Firefox it takes me to myEarthlink sign in page and I have to re-enter my password to get to my Home Page. Once I have my Home Page logged in, I have tried to drag the address from the address bar to the tool box house, but it does not seem to remember my Home Page. Any help?

Sounds like you want the New Tab Homage extension.

Those are the standard close, minimize and expand buttons for Mac OS X. With Windows, you get the Windows-standard interface which doesn't have those buttons.

  • When I change my Internet (proxy) and home page settings and then close and reopen Firefox, they are not saved. Why is this happening?

I am going under Tools and Options, then Advanced -> Network -> Settings and changing the automatic configuration script for my work network. When I hit OK everything works. But when I close out Firefox, and then reopen it at a later time, it does not save the setting change I made and I have to do it all over again. This is also happening when I change my home page information as well...

  • When I try to open some web sites i am blocked by MOZILLA and redirected to a site I did not want and am unable to close or go back without going back to the home page. Help help help

I have removed the check from the pop up blocked in the MOZILLA options but still get this problem of not being able to open certain sites. The MOZILLA icon appears with the three options available, but before i can click on one I am automatically redirected to a site I did not want, and when I try to go back it will keep coming back to the site MOZILLA put on the computer. I have to close and go back to the home page and start all over again. I have installed a new virus protection system STOPZILLA and could this have any bearing on the problem. After awhile it becomes very frustrating trying to get on line information and being continually redirected. Any ideas?

safari though I blocked the pop tabs I keep getting the home page is always unconfigures and does not let me banks I do?

    Do a backup.
    Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart the computer, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Hi Vicki, you also mentioned your home page changing. If Yahoo is your home page, this is normal as they keep updating things.
In some cases, if your home page is a specific server address instead of a more general address like
    * http://www.yahoo.com/
    * http://my.yahoo.com/
    * http://mail.yahoo.com/
then Yahoo will need to redirect your browser to a different server.
Users have reported on this forum that this can lead to email problems like broken features as well as display glitches.
To make sure you get the server that Yahoo intends for you, please go to one of the above Yahoo addresses and follow the link to your email. Hopefully this will resolve any problem with the redirection and you can save the new address in place of the old one (home page, bookmark, etc.).
Also, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site. If Yahoo support did not already recommend this, here are the steps:
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • What is open dns, and why is it blocking my home page?

I don't know what "open dns" is, but when I try and open my home page, a news site, I get a message that says "This domain has been blocked by your network administrator." This is my own computer, and I didn't block anything. It just started doing this today and goes to http://block.opendns.com/ when I try to open a window. I can still access other sites. I flushed the cache, which didn't change anything.

    Hello g:
I clicked on that link and got a message that access was blocked by my network administrator. Since I do not have a network administrator, something is bogus.
    Open DNS is explained here:
    http://www.opendns.com/start/
I used to use it, but have not found it necessary in my own world.
Somehow something has changed your settings.
I have not used it, but some people have had success with this software:

  • MSN keeps coming up as my homepage. I do NOT want it as my home page. How do I block a site in Firefox?

I was perfectly happy with my Comcast home page. Recently, MSN has been loading as my home page. I have changed my home page 6 times in the Firefox Options menu, however, it does not stay. MSN keeps coming up. I want to block MSN.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Home page address is displaying additional information???

    Hello all,
I am using iweb '09 and am running into something odd about (most definitely my fault) the text of my home page as it looks in the browser address bar.
For example....i want my home page to just be www.test.com, however it is currently including the title of the domain folder from iweb (lets call it website) and the title of the home page (lets call it Olympics.html). So when I search for my site and click on www.test.com it goes to my site, but the address bar displays www.test.com/website/olympics.html when I just want it to say www.test.com.
Can someone tell me how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Azazal

They will be able to find it, but it's up to you to include the necessary information to bump it up. You really need an index.html page.
SEO is important - no one is just going to search for 'iweb dailynews' unless they already know the site, which defeats the purpose - plus you need to use content keywords so people searching for content rather than a specific website will find it. It's easy enough to get pages indexed, but if they come up on the 50th page when someone searches, you may as well not bother.

  • Pipeline block on full width of Sales Home Page

    Hi Gurus,
I need your help to check the feasibility of separate assignment block on Sales Home page to be displayed across whole page width (not the right/left column). If you refer any Sales Home Page, the assingment blocks in sales home page are seperated in 2 coluumns here. We can move any block from left to right (and vice versa)  & move any block up/down but how if we want to show a block to the full page width?
You must be wondering why we need this? u2013 User will have view of Pipeline BI report on CRM Home page and the pipeline width will not fit in the right/left column so it will enable the horizontal scrollbar which is not user friendly. We have to have a full page wide block for BI Pipeline report on Sales Home Page.
    Componenet/view u2013 WCC_SLS_HOME/SalesHome
    Please suggest,
    Thanks.

    Hi Abhishek,
If you are using CRM 7.0, this is a standard feature. Just go into peronalize on Home Page and select checkbox for full page.
I am also trying to display a BI report (open as a chart) on the Home Page. Could you please share how did you achieved this?
    Thanks,

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

  • When i open my computer the home page is displayed but blocked, it is not possible to open any application

when i open my computer the home page is displayed but blocked, it is not possible to open any application, even if my mouse is moving correctly

You could try wiping the hard drive and reinstalling the OS and all your programs.
Did you install any programs yesterday?
If not it may be best to take it to an Apple care center and have it checked out. Take it in while it is asleep so you ccan show then what is happening.

  • Why the hell i see adds all over the browser even though i have my ad block running? and why the hell everytime i set the home page to default, its not?

    hi,
why the hell there are adds every where now? it was not the case earlier? and why the hell every time i change the home page to be the default one, the min i restart Firefox it came again to the same silly page i don't know from where the hell it came from?!?!
it was a very pleasant experience to use Firefox, but not anymore, i like it even its heavy on the machine and stuck alot lately!!!
the crash reports NEVER managed to be sent i don't know why!!
come on guys, you can do better than that!

    Hi ajag,
Sorry you are having problems, but probably some adware or malware.
Thanks for including System Information. I am not familiar with "''Vonteera Free Ads''" However it is apparently adware. Take care with advice followed from internet searches I would for instance NOT try the YAC site or tool.
Using the Firefox addons manager and the Windows Control Panel remove any obvious unwanted toolbars or programs. Then scan with multiple and fully up to date tools.
*''' General method: [[Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page]] '''
Please follow the advice in the link immediately above and then do the full scans as mentioned lower down in this post.
I note you have a ''user.js'' file that may need attention separately.
Post back saying what you tried and what the results were.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
