Home page is blank in iweb, but visible on internet

I have created two web sites in iweb. Everything seemed to go well initially. But as I started to run out of room on my hard drive - I could no longer publish and though I could view my site online - I cannot see my home page (in either site) in iweb. I see no content even though I can see it online. I also cannot see my photo or blog page - though I can see them on line. I have about 8 other pages - that I can see both online and in iweb.
I thought it might be a memory issue and dumped 70g's - but no luck.
One more interesting question. I can rename all of my pages besides one - every time I try it switches back. The page is titled TAhoeA - I cannot change it.
Appreciate any help.
Mark

iWeb stores your website data in a domain file. If you ran out of storage then the pages you cannot see on your Mac may not be present in this file. You will probably have to rebuild them.
As for your other issue, try deleting the iWeb preference file Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist and then try renaming the page again.
If that doesn't work, delete it again and restart your Mac.
When was the last time you ran Disk Utility to repair permissions?

  • Blog page shows blank in iweb, but can see entries

blog page shows blank in iweb, but can see entries. I have search fro many help hints and currently I have deleted the Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist and restarted (done this a few times) and fixed permissions.
If there is no fix for this, then can someone tell me if I can create a new blog then add the old entries to a new blog ??

Alrighty... i might have found a way to make your blog page shown again.. it's a lot of work tho! Especially if u have had a lot in your entries...
I only have 20 or so entries... What i did was, changing the blog page theme to another theme that has similarities in the blog layout page.. and then switching it back to the theme that you have...
ex. My original theme is the Modern Frame.. I switch it to Water Color theme (check if your blog page is there..) then switch it back to your original theme.
It's not done yet! You have to edit your entries again, in order to get your web original look! i edited it per post! make sure you keep saving it after you edited a little bit of stuff, just to make sure you won't lose it AGAIN...
Once I'm done, i even save another copy of a domain file on my desktop.. you know, just in case..
Mac should fix this iweb problems.. Thank god i only have a few posts by now.. What about people who has hundreds of post...
iWeb should come in handy.. Not giving us more problems..

  • Have Firefox home page set for Google search, but each following tab opens w/Yahoo search instead. How do I remove the Yahoo and have Google home page on every tab????

As I said above: I Have Firefox browser home page set for Google search, but each following tab (but suddenly now it) opens w/Yahoo search instead. How do I remove the Yahoo search off the added tabs and have Google home page/ blank tab (like it used to be) on every tab????

The new Firefox Start Page - '''about:home''' - isn't the same homepage that was used in earlier versions of Firefox - http://www.google.com/firefox There is no "setting" for the "Search Container" on the about:home "page" - in the Options UI or in about:config .
Set that old "Mozilla Firefox Start Page" as your "homepage". <br />
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page
Or open your Profile folder and delete the '''webappsstore.sqlite''' file and hope the "Search Container" on the about:home "page" returns to Google. When it '''''is''''' Google, the Google logo appears to the left of the "Search Container"; when the search engine there has been changed to something else, there is no logo to the left of the "Search Container" - AFAIK.

  • When i hit the home button on any particular page, the home page appears on the bar, but it just sits there, doing nothing with a blank screen....

when i activate a web page from the home netzero homepage, and then try to go back to the home page by way of the home button, nothing happens. The status bar says it is trying to go there, but the screen is totally blank white and just sitting there. this happens no matter where i activate a page from, the home button just does not work. thank you in advance for any input .

Verify that the battery is charged (connect to the supplied charger & cable for a couple of hours).
    Reset your device:
    Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
    1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
    2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
    3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

  • After Firefox opens my AOL home page a blank popup appears and prevents me from closing Firefox or opening the options button . How do I fix this?

I can get to my home page with the Explorer browser. The problem is only on Firefox. I've run Spybot, Malwarebytes, and scanned with Microsoft Security Essentials, but the problem persists. I recently updated Firefox for AOL. And last night I installed updates for my Windows 7 operating system.
I just tried to automatically add troubleshooting information, but I'm using Explorer right now since I can't use Firefox, so the I can't download the file. Since I can't use Firefox I can't use the manual steps either.

    Go to Tools --> Options.
In the Advanced tab go to "General". Uncheck the check box "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

  • Can't get into Mail on iPad 2. Returns to home page with blank white screen.

    Hi,
If your OS is Linux you can update Firefox using the Package Manager / Software Center. After opening the Manager type '''firefox''' in the search area, tick '''firefox''' in the results and apply. You may also be asked to accept additional new dependencies.
    or
You can directly download the latest version for Linux here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
It is a zip package and you have to unzip it and run the script file named '''firefox''' inside the unzipped folder. You have to go inside this folder every time to run this file or you can create a link to the '''firefox''' file on the desktop. In this case please note that the old Firefox installation will still exist and the usual links will open that instead of the new one.

  • Adding pages, lost everything in iweb but not on web itself,

Okay, so I am new, did the tutorial to set up a web site. Had four pages finished, three already published, did not publish the fourth. I then went to add a photo page and all other pages are gone on the iweb building area. The first three pages are on the web, but not listed in the site organizer. Now what do I do to save the pages on the web when I publish and to return the web pages to my site organizer. yikes!! I spent hours on this project and am worried I will lose it all. thanks

Go to Varkgirl's site and download her Automator backup application. It creates a copy of the Domain.sites file and puts it where you want. A smart thing to do after any session with iWeb.
Also if you expect to have multiple sites you might think about using iWebSites. It's to iWeb as iPhoto Library Manager is to iPhoto.
I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

  • Top part of home page is blank

When I start Firefox, the top ~ 1/3 of the screen of msn.com under the address bar is blank. This does not happen on any other webpage. It does not happen when I access msn.com from Internet Explorer.
I downloaded the newest version of Firefox today and this did not help.
What do I need to change in order to see the top portion of the msn.com home page?
My operating system is Windows 8. I am using Firefox version 24.0.
This started fairly recently, the past couple weeks.

  • I set my home page to my school website, but everytime I open firefox it opens to a conduit search Bing website how can I get rid of that a nd lock in my home p

I set and want my home page to be my school website, "northbranch.k12.mn.us" I have gone to option and set it as my home page. Everytime I start up the computer and start up firefox, i get a conduit search engine with Bing. How can I get rid of this permanently and have my school website come up as the stratup window?

hello tomterrimort, if your manual changes don't 'stick' after a restart of the browser, please look out for any suspicious extensions (like 3rd-party-toolbars or things you have not installed intentionally) presently installed under '''firefox/tools > addons > extensions''' or the programs section of the windows control panel and remove those entries.
in case this doesn't solve the issue please try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named '''user.js''' (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.

  • I have attempted to change my home page a number of times but it keeps going back to a Bing/Google search page (set up by eSnips). Where do I got to get rid of this home page that keeps poping up every time I open Firefox?

I had downloaded something from eSnips and likely I missed the "set my home page" check box. So when I opened Firefox, I ended up with this eSnips "Google/ Bing" search page.

After trying many of the suggestions found online I found that the only thing that worked was to completely uninstall firefox and re-install it again!

  • My yahoo home page is convoluted on Firefox, but not on Safari. How do I fix this?

I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it, but that didn't work. My Yahoo homepage looks like a puzzle. Images not loading correctly. Works fine on Safari, so I figure it is something in my Firefox settings.

    Hello,
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.

  • First I realized my Google bar, in the top right hand corner of the home page, is gone... but now I can't even find an address bar. So if I want to put in a website address, there's nowhere to put it. Can anyone help?

I think I said everything I needed to in my "Topic" comment. Thank you for any suggestions

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I'm not running 10.5.8 and it's been a while, but in your browser (Safari, right?) click on the word 'View' in the top menubar and you should see 'Show Toolbar' right at the top, as well as other choices. Clicking 'Show Toolbar' should restore your 'address bar' back to the way you expect it to look.
Some websites purposely open a new window without any 'distractions', such as to play video clips. If you close the original window, you can be left without the familiar tools.
'Customize Toolbar' also lets you drag other defined buttons to add functions you use frequently that usually require navigating the menubar. I added a 'Print' button that was not part of the original set, for example.
