Home Page setting option is not working. Home Page always reverts back to Modzilla Firefox Start Page.
Home Page setting option is not working after saving a new or different home page on Firefox 19.0. When opening a new page (not tab) it always reverts back to the default "Modzilla Firefox Start Page" no matter what.
That was it! There was a duplicate preference file in the profile folder. Followed the instructions under "Locked Preferences File" to
6. Delete any prefs-n.js files where n is a number (e.g. prefs-2.js).
Once I deleted it I was able to then save my preferred home page.

When printing to a laser device my Acrobat Pro XI all of a sudden was not shrinking oversized pages to fit on paper. The Fit and Shrink to page options did not work. Could still output file reduced by using the percentage box but wondered if anyone else has encountered this problem before? Reinstalled Acrobat but problem still there.

Updated to ver 8. Not working properly need to revert back to 7. Can this be done
mmy iPad is not working correctly since I updated it to version 8. It now takes ages turning on every thig is glitchy. Can't use it very slow, can I revery it to version 7 where it worked ok.
It needs some time to settle things down after upgrade. Give it several hours, maybe a whole day, and do a full restart (better two)

Breadcrumbs Home Page Name option is not working
I'm using RoboHelp 9 and Microsoft HTML Help is set as my Primary Layout. In the Properties dialog box for this layout, I select the "Add Breadcrumbs Links" check box. I do not have breadcrumbs in any of my master pages. I then open the Breadcrumbs Options dialog box and select "Top" from the Home Page Name drop-down list. The breadcrumbs appear correctly in the Preview window (Top > Topic1). I click OK, and then save and generate my layout. It compiles correctly, and the breadcrumbs are placed correctly and working, but instead of using "Top" as the Home Page Name that I selected, they use "Home" (Home > Topic1). What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

My home page will not stay saved,it keeps going back to the firefox default page
After I've saved my home page(yahoo.com)there will be no problem until my laptop either is turned off or restarted. After I turn on my laptop when I connect to the internet, my home page is changed from yahoo.com to the firefox default almost like if I just updated firefox.And I'm getting tired of having to change my home page back every time I turn my laptop on.
Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Some security software has virtualization or sandbox features that may cause problems by protecting and restoring files in the Firefox profile folder. -
I downloaded "Intelligent Updater" utilizing a DAP accelerator and there was a speedbit video accelerator in the package. There were no selections other than to download or not so I had no idea that this would result. When I click on Mozilla icon I get a speedbit browser for 1st page., I CAN type in mozilla and get homepage thatway or use most visited. The top bar on screen shows "SEARCH BY SPEEDBIT- MOZILLA FIREFOX".

The "Use custom settings for history" setting allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting that setting doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.<br />
Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.<br />
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".<br /> -
How do I get to the firefox start page (that says Google)?
When I click on the Firefox icon on my XP desktop, I just get a blank page. Sometimes it just goes to Yahoo.

If you have the Menu bar hidden and have a orange Firefox button then click on the an look to righe side of that menu where it says "Options"

This appeared after a re-install due to a virus. On installing Firefox 6 it immediately went to foxstart as a home page, I cannot get rid of this or get back to the firefox start page, I have uninstalled Firefox and re installed but still get the same problem. The web indicates that this is now a problem for many of your users so it looks as if a fix needs to be generated to provent this happening. Hope you can resolve this problem. Many thanks. dave

Also the Home option from the Options menu does not work. I receive the "This program cannot display the webpage" error.
I have the correct file name (titlepg.htm) in the Advanced Windows Ptoperties "Default" field and the "Home" field. However, I still receive the "This program cannot display the webpage" error.

One where you show the Project Explorer with the desired topic in view. Another where you show the dialog where you specify the Home page destination.
Another thing you may wish to try is to define a totally new window, assign the values there and ensure you point to the window in the Single Source Layout recipe.
Oh, and one other thing. Are you using RoboHelp HTML or RoboHelp for Word?

I do have wifi connection but no internet, how is this possible? I logged in to the internet at my friends place and when I got home my own internet was not working anymore
This is possible to be connected to WiFi but not internet.
You connect to your modem/router via WiFi and whether it is connected to the internet or configured properly to route the internet to WiFi devices is a different story.
Now if you've already reset your WiFi (try disabling and enabling) and perhaps even restarting your MBP
Then make sure that your modem/router is connected to the internet.
You can try any other device, lights on the modem/router or use Eth cable to test.
Report back your findings. -
My phone died last night and when I plugged it in it wouldn't turn on.I tried restarting it but it has yet to turn on since last night,It was just a black screen,i try the on/off and home buttons together but its not working,What should I do?
How long have you had your phone? Because if you've had it a long time, the battery in the phone might of died on you. Or have you dropped it in water, snow, from high up? All those things could of disconnected something internally in your phone, or permentaly damaged the internal hard drive its self, or the sims card.

What to do now when my iPad won't turn on after I turn it off. It shows only the apple logo. I am sure it has above 70% charge as when I sync my iPad it shows necessary detail in iTunes. I have tried, HOME & POWER button, but did not work.
First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...

How come when I try to print from my iPad for example Tim Horton's WiFi to mu home Airprint printer it does not work.
The Airprint printer must be on the same local network (LAN) for Airprint to work. You cannot print to your home printer using the WiFi at Tim Horton's.

Urgent : SSRS reports zoom in option is not working in IE9 compatability view
Hi,
We have SSRS reports which when viewed in IE 9 compatability view, zoom in option is not working properly.
SSRS report have 4 charts inside a rectangle. when zoom in from 100% to 50% only rectangle shrinkes not the charts.
Please let me know why it is happening and solutions if any?

Tools and software used:
Reports are rendered on Share Point 2010 server which uses SSRS 2008 R2.
Reports are accessed using web browser IE9, IE10 ….
Problem statement:
To work OTHER reports compatibility mode in IE should be ON
To work SSRS reports (mainly zoom) compatibility mode in IE should be OFF
OTHER report is being used by customer and they will start using SSRS reports as well. While using both OTHER reports and SSRS reports customer do not prefer to keep switching between compatibility modes.
“Browser Mode: IE9”
Steps to reproduce Zoom issue for SSRS report with Compatibility mode is given below:
Step-1: Select Tools menu -> Compatibility View Settings
Below setting is suggested for OTHER users so tick as shown below,
Step-2: On decision center select link and Open the report home page and click the link to open the report.
Step-3: On SSRS reports Change Zoom level from 100% to say 50%. Here all charts are not moved with container frame.
If “Browser Mode: IE8” is set with following steps then this issue does not happen.
Press F12 and from and select IE8 as shown below.
Press F12 again so this will set the mode and then try Zoom option it works fine. However this setting temporary and will remain for the session only.
If compatibility mode is OFF then also this does not happen. Please see image below.
