Home page will open. No further pages will open. MS explorer opens all internet pages, so connection is fine.

If I try a website it says "unable to connect". If I then go to 'help', 'restart with add ons disabled' then 'continue in safe mode', the website will open. But I would have to do that for each and every further page.

About 30 minutes ago, I was adding some music to the ipod Nano. Everything was working fine. Now, the ipod will not turn on at all. When I connect it to the laptop with the USB, the computer does not even recognize it. The screen has a fant image of the plug on it and it says connected. I followed the procedures for disconnecting it when I was finished with it earlier. Any idea what is going on here???

It probably needs to be reset. The procedure is different for different Nano models: http://www.apple.com/support/ipodnano/assistant/itunes/

My Firefox 8 for Mac no longer will launch properly. It opens, and immediately hangs before loading the home page and connecting to any website. Does anyone have any ideas about how to correct this? Thanks!

All I get is a blank home page, along with a spinning beach ball. I cannot open the preferences to try to clear the cache, and must force quit to get out of Firefox. I have tried clearing the cache from the Library, and trashed the preferences file. I uninstalled the application, and reinstalled a newly downloaded application. I have restarted the computer many times, and run the disk utility to repair permissions. Nothing has worked. I have not added or upgraded anything on my computer since Firefox was working just a few days ago. Safari works fine connecting to the web. I have read through most of the support documents at Firefox Help, but cannot find anything that addresses this specific problem of hanging immediately after launch.

I have the exact same problem--and it just started around November 11, 2011. I have rebooted, reinstalled, and relaunched many times and Firefox just hangs on launch. Spinning beach ball of death and all that.
I have not installed any new software or changed anything on my computer.
Using Mac OS X 10.6.8, Aluminum Mac with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM.

I live in UK but I am on vacation in DR and my iPod touch will not let me access the internet, I am connected to a wi-fi connection. It did work when I arrived

Does anyone know of a way to for all web links no matter where a user clicks on them to open in IE. We need to have chrome in our desktop image (for reasons beyond this discussion)
but if a user is using Gmail in chrome and clicks on a web link in Gmail I need it to open IE and not try to open the link in chrome.
Any Ideas?? Thanks in advance

Did you use Windows 7?
In Windows 7 control panel\All control panel items\default programs\set your default programs, set IE to a default program to open links.
And try to reinstall chrome, when it ask you if set chrome to default, do not select it.

Firefox 3.5.9 won't play ultimate fade-in slideshow on home page, but 3.6.3 and older versions will. How to fix?

I put up a website in early December 09 running the Ultimate Fade-in Slideshow java script from Dynamic drive on my home page. It worked fine in Firefox and IE6-8. Got an email from the client today that the rotating photos were no longer working. Checked my computer running FF 3.6.3 and all was fine, but my laptop and another computer in the house both running FF 3.5.9 it was not working. Can't recall the earlier version(s) that also ran fine. Website is www.susantiksondds.com Any ideas of what I can do in my code to make it run in this version???

Are you sure that Firefox gets the plugins from the ~/.mozilla/plugins directory and not from another location.
Did you try to place the symlink in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins ?

About Menu Region Of Home Page In Sample Application

You will find there are "Top Orders"
"Top Customers" "Top Products" "Customer Search" "Tasks" "Menu" Regions in the Home Page.
But I don't know what the "Menu" Region" for. Do you guys Know it?
And the type for "Menu Region" is M192058042088659446. Out of my suprise, i don't know where this type is from?

I looked around and I think I have a better understanding now as to what's going on.
The site was created using STS#1 (blank site)
If I open Sharepoint Designer, click “Open Site” and open the site, click on “Edit Site Home Page” then when I expand the “All Sites” folder on the left I can see various folders like Site Pages, Site Assets etc. and then below all the folder (i.e. at the
root of “All Sites”) I can see our default.aspx.
When I double click the Site Pages folder under Navigation->Site Objects I get “The Document Library View cannot be displayed for this Website”.
When I expand “All Sites” and expland “Site Pages” I can see some pages there (e.g. for password reset etc) but not our default.aspx.
I copied over the default.aspx to that All Sites->Site Pages folder and now when I right click on that file I can see “Version History”.
So it looks like the version control was not available to me on the original file because that file was a standalone file rather than being placed under the “Site Pages”.
So now I can right click that default.aspx in the SitePages folder and do "set as home page". This works fine except for one small remaining issue: the default.aspx that was in the root folder could be accessed using http://www.mysite.com/default.aspx.
The new page in the SitePages folder can only be accessed using http://www.mysite.com/SitePages/default.aspx. So, if our customers have a link to our site saved as http://www.mysite.com/default.aspx as opposed to just http://www.mysite.com then if I
remove that default.aspx page from the root folder then the users will get "404 not found" unless I implement some kind of redirection.

Home page loads fine but all othes pages load in no styleeven through it is set to basic page style

started today dident load home page right had to reload it sence then the home page has been loading fine all search pages have loaded in no style. i click view, go down to page style it set to basic page style

That is exactly the procedure I went through. This will allow me to use it as a homepage as long as Firefox remains open. I can return from other pages using the home icon and it works fine.
HOWEVER, as soon as I close firefox it won't load.
I did notice that the upper case letters are somehow turned to lower case for the location arguments of the page in the current page entry and they don't get changed in the bookmark entry.

CRS 10.1 with Endeca 3.1.1 -home page doesn't show image and promo products

Thanks to this forum and especially cmore I'm close to setting up my local dev environment, but still have something to resolve.
I have ATG 10.1.2 + CRS + Endeca 3.1.1. I installed BCC with Staging and Production (switchable) stores.
The problem is with Production CRS - both US Store and Home Store don't show image and promoted products on Home page.
What I see below Top Category pane is empty square. Unlike Production, home page on Stage works fine - I see homepage_promo_storeSiteUS_en_anonymous.png and promoted products.
I think the problem is not related to Endeca, as I currently connect both Stage and Prod to the same Endeca CRS, I also believe that issue is not related to configuration - I tried to run production with Stage configuration, and it changed nothing. I believe the issue is somewhere in data (DB) - but I did full deployment for Prod and it didn't help. I verified targeters and slots on Prod through ACC, and they looks fine. So don't know at this point what to do next.
While doing full deploy I see some errors in the log which might be related to the issue, But the same errors I see on Stage as well and still Stage works without issues:

After some analysis and experiments:
Most likely the issue is with Scenarios. HomeTheme Slot is populated by Theme scenario.
For some reason the slot remains empty on "bad" environment. On "good" environment the slot contain promo content item after the first call of the slot. I checked respective targeter and promo content item, and they look OK, so I believe something wrong with Scenarios.

Firefox home page opens with jzip and will not open as google, yahoo, unless manually entered - plus window appears asking to set yahoo as default but doesn't work. t
