Home screen jitters, no screen rotation

A hard object recently dropped on my iPad screen, luckily it didn't crack but since then the home screen jitters about. The screen doesn't rotate except if this is controlled in app, (I have checked the rotational switch and settings). Also if movement of the iPad is needed to control an app games racing games for example then this doesn't work either. I have tried a hard reboot several times but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice before I make an hours journey to the apple store. Thanks

And you already reset the device taking out the battery? if your answer is yes and you can't fix the problem you need to upgrade the software on the device.

IPhone 6 Plus screen rotate glitch

Has anyone noticed that the home screen doesn't rotate and the native mail app doesn't switch to 2 columns IF you have the phone set on the "zoomed" view vs. the standard view?
Try it... set your iPhone 6 Plus to zoomed view (Settings > Display & Brightness > View > Zoomed). Does your home screen rotate? Do you have two columns in mail when you rotate to landscape?
Hopefully Apple sends out a bug patch a.s.a.p. I like using the "Zoomed" view, but don't like that it hinders the screen rotate function of the home screen and native mail app.
Anyone else notice this?

I also found that the two column view is only works in standard view. I just got my iPhone 6+ a couple of days ago. What are the advantages of the zoomed view?

IPhone 6 Plus screen rotation issue

The home and lock screens on my wife's iPhone 6 plus rotate. Can this be shut off? And if I turn on the screen rotation lock, will it stop rotation of the lock and home screens as well as the regular use screens (i.e. - apps, Safari, etc...)? Can these two functions (lock and home screen rotation and all other screen rotation) be set independent of each other?

I feel your pain! I have the same problem with my new iPhone 6. My iPhone 5s has cooler/brighter whites, but my iPhone 6 with a supposedly better screen shows them warmer/duller. I stopped at two T-Mobile stores this morning to compare my phone with their display models, and in both cases my phone look dull and drab. Because of the warmer whites, text has less contrast and therefor looks blurrier, too. I was considering going to an Apple Store to see if they could exchange the phone, but as you've demonstrated there's no guaranty that you'll get a better phone. After spending $850 on what I thought was a phone with a bigger, better display, I now wish I'd just stayed happy with my 5s or even considered switching back to an Android phone.

Home screen icons bouncing and jittering.

After installing the 7.0.6 update, my home screen is bouncing and jittering. I've restored the phone from backup with no resolve. HELP! I'm getting sea sick viewing my screen

Truthfully I'm a bit puzzled in how to assisst you.
1. Icon missing: let's try re-sending your service books: go to options > host routing table ....now click on menu key and register.
Now do a battery pull while phone is ON.
If this restores your missing icons...then make a call and see if it can be ended.
If End call still not working: make sure the key is properly seated in the housing (was the phone dropped) ....signs of this is key feeling "hard" and needing more pressure.
Tilt the phone and see if flush or just slightly raised....if it is press down on raised part it will click in.

Home screen won't rotate to landscape

I thought that my home screen would rotate into landscape mode when I first got the phone, but it will no longer do so. This happens on the home screen and in the app drawer. When my phone is in the desktop cradle it rotates just fine. When I am in an app such as messaging or the browser it rotates also with no problem.
Auto rotation is checked in settings - display.
Anyone know why this might be happening or how to fix it? I sometimes prefer to hold my phone in landscape mode depending on how I am using it.

This appears to be an artifact of the OS. I tried to duplicate the situation, and was easily able to. Also, the dialer screen does not rotate.
I use a desk dock for the phone, and when docked the Apps screen, the dialer screen and the home screens all rotate (the phone is docked in an orientation with its left side down). So I think this is part of the design of the OS.
Perhaps not to your liking, but I don't think this is considered a malfunction.

II'm not sure what the problem is, but reset your iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen. It takes about 10 seconds. See if that fixes it.

Make sure that Control Center is enabled. Settings>Control Center. Then, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access various settings, including Rotation lock.

Try a reset, you will not lose any data.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

If there isn't a padlock icon at the top right of the iPad's screen then have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My home screen does not rotate

Many (but not all) of my screens on my iPhone 4S do not rotate to landscape.

I got my iphone 4S 2 weeks ago and just realized it shoudl be rotating. I've been so captivated by everything elst that it does I guess I didn't need it before now. Today I need it and it is not working. I've gone through the other posts that are similar to this one and all they recomend is to hit home buton twice then swipeing back on app bar until Screen rotations setting; then verify it is not locked. Mine is not locked and the home screen simply will not rotate. Is their a solution somewhere on this issue or is a fix needed from Apple?

Iphone- I would like my lock and home screens to rotate

I would like my lock and home screens to rotate on my Iphone 5. Since I charge it at work and the charge port is at the bottom I have to lay it on it's side in my cradle. I'm constantly having to rotate it to view emails and texts. Is this possible?

IPhone 6 home screen won't rotate

Just got home with the iPhone 6 and the home screen will NOT rotate! Other apps seem to rotate, just not the home screen.
I checked the screen lock and it is also not in zoomed mode. I have tried a few restarts with no luck and downloaded the newest IOS update.
Please help! I was really looking forward to this feature.

My home screen on the 4s doesn't rotate. All other apps rotate (rotate lock is not on). I restored the phone to factory serttings and still have the same issue. Any ideas?

The home screens are fixed relative to the home button, and phone ear and voice ports.

Apple or any one who can help me solve this issue .. pls help, i need an app who can rotate the whole home screen and any other settings or aplication that runs in the iphone, half of a centimetre from the home buttton up does not work, never dropped my phone, just forgot it in the car during one cold night and since then it did't work .. if i could rotate the whole screen i will be able to use the phone almost normaly ... so PLEASE ! i don;t have enough money to buy a new phone or change the screen ..

Sorry, but there's no app that can affect global settings like that (not possible with the SDK). Service is your only option.
