Home screen notifications gone after unlock

Once I unlock my phone the notifications that were on the locked home screen disappear. Sometimes there are to many to remember what was there on the locked screen. Is there any place, such as a log where I can review them?

On Home screen, swipe from the top down to reveal the Notification Centre.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout
If no joy, check whether you have Restrictions set.

If you are set up as a primary library you need to look in my tv shows.
When you say you have reinstalled everything, does that include itunes (if so how did you do that), does it include rebuilding your itunes library.

My Droid Razr M home screen keeps crashing after the update. Can it be reversed?

My Droid RAZR M is now a paperweight. The home screen keeps crashing. I'm forced to access anything by sliding down the main screen and going to the new settings area, which I discovered. I tried forcing the app to stop, but that didn't do anything. I cleared the cache, disabled it - nothing. I HATE THIS! I want to make it go away. Is there anything short of resetting the phone that can UN-update the update?
Oh, and also, now my texts are Google talk - ugh. double ugh.

Not even factory reset will roll back the update. My issue was a loss of the ability to connect to WiFi anytime after about 20 minutes after reboot.
The only thing I can suggest is to call tech support and let them walk you through a couple of routines and then they can send out a replacement phone. (It's what I had to do.) My issue is that the replacement is running 4.1.2 and now my FitBit won't work with it. I wish I did not upgrade from 4.2. (Maybe another release?)

You can use the social application widget built into the phone , or try the Socially app which gives homescreen notification and social contacts intergration with contacts.

Home screen goes blank after making calls with OS 4.0 (3G)

Since the OS 4.0 update, my home screen keeps going blank (black) after making/receiving a phone call. I have to turn the iPhone off and back on again to gets the Apps back up on screen.
Anyone else having this problem?

I have had a similar problem. After I make a call, the screen goes black and a random keyboard comes up and does nothing. I have to wait for a while untill it works again

Why did the phone icon on my home screen become useless after the KitKat update?

I received the KitKat update on my DROID Razr Maxx HD 2 days ago. Now when I click on my phone icon from my home page, the message "App not installed" displays. Now, in order to make a phone call, I have to open all my apps and scroll to "phone icon". How do I reinstall an app that is obviously still there. Apparently the update disconnected the link to the app?

Can't tell you why, but you should be able to fix by simply replacing the shortcut.
1) remove the current shortcut on the home screen by holding the shortcut and dragging it to the "X remove" option
2) go into your app list and find the phone link there, hold it and drag it back to your home screen

HT1212 my iphone is disabled, not able go to the home screen. it happend after i travelled from USA to INDIA

my iphone has been disable . It happend during my trip from USA to INDIA. not able to go to home screen. Tried to connect to itunes but it says need to enter password first on iphone which i am not able to do as it is disabled. Need help.

Try a reset:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If this doesn't work, restore it from a backup through iTunes.

Facebook notification gone after google mobile installed

My facebook notifies me before i installed the google mobile..But now since gmail mobile installed im not getting any notification from FB it goes to my gmail to notify me which i dont like even I turned off email notification..I checked all the setting and still not working...any ideas??thanks!

just googled this subject as similar thing happened to me after changing my sim on a backup sony ericsson. noticed while signing up to reply to your post, that the problem for me might be with gmail email as it couldn't receive verification email for this forum either. will reply back if changing my email account on facebook email solves problem. i live in hope.

Screen savers gone after updating Flash

I downloaded the latest Flash and all the Mac screen savers are gone. They're still in the Library but when I try to access Screen Savers it invariably crashes with an error message blaming Flash. When I went back to the older Flash (at least I think I did) there was no sound on Safari or You-Tube.
Is anyone else having this happen? I repaired permissions and verified disc. I'm pretty untutored re: system stuff so be gentle.

This isn't a reply - it's an update. I reloaded Flash Player, restarted computer, repaired permissions. Now I have screensavers on one account, the one that comes up at start-up, which is not the one I usually work in.
Is there a way to get them over to the other account, the way they used to be?

Home screen notification shows extra unread e-mail...

For the second time, found that the homescreen is displaying 1 unread e-mail even though all the e-mail in my mailboxes are marked as read. This problems seems to occur when I navigate through the application fast, it just can't keep up (not surprising since the application is rather slow in the first place).
The only way I've been able to get rid of this problem is to reinstall the messaging application. Very irritating. Guess it's time go to back to System Seven and hope that Nokia can get its act together. Luckily I anticipated this and didn't uninstall System Seven when I tried messaging again today.

Q: Just as a clarification:
Have you checked if the unread message you refer to is located in another mailbox than the inbox?
It is quite often I have unread messages in my outbox (for a few seconds) or in my sent box (more permanently). For some reason I have to go in and "read" the messages in the sent box to get rid of this marker you are talking about.
I have yet to figure out if there is any structure to why this is happening.

Search bar on home screen lost

Yesterday my nokia 5800 crashes and after I re-open it. I've noticed that the search bar in my home screen is gone. Even if you check it on the setting. The only selection exist on the shortcuts to display in home screen are: Music Player, Radio, Calendar, and Shortcuts. SEARCH BAR is already gone. What will I do to display the search bar. I tried to restore my previous backups of my phone settings but still, no effect. I'm starting to hate this phone. It's full of bugs even if I have the latest firmware update.

I think you may have to do a hard reset. backup all your data to PC suite, then turn off your mobile (make sure battery is full). Hold the red, green and camera keys while booting up. Do not let go until the holding hands screen.

Can no longer add bookmarks to my home screen

I can no longer add bookmarks to my home screen. As before, I get the choice of "Add to Bookmarks" and "Add to Home Screen", and after chosing "Add to Home Screen", I am asked to save the name as before, but the bookmark is not saved (or at least I can't find any trace of it amongst my home screen bookmarks, even after scrolling up, down and to the right).
As I already have quite a few (but not excessive) bookmarks, most in folders, I tried deleting some and then trying to add a bookmark, but without success. Restarting doesn't help. Problem was there before the latest software update, but was not fixed by update.
Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

I have just spent 3 hours reading and looking for an answer and came across your article here in respect of a similar situation I have with bluetortilla.
I recently dropped my macbook and had to have a new diskdrive replaced. I am a total novice in IT and had a long time in resetting and reconfiguring all my information and migrating my back up from my time machine.
However, since then I have been having alot of issues with Safari which I have never had in the 3 years I have been using Mac.
My problems currently are as follows, after each time I quit safari and when I close the mac and rebooting it.
1.    All my history is not there when I re-open Safari. Only the history from when I last migrate the data from my time machine is there. However, after following the your instructions to bluetortilla, the old history is now deleted and the history of today remains.
2.    Everytime I add a new bookmark and save a webpage into this bookmark, it disappears every time I quit and reopen Safari.
3.    Similarly, even when I save a new webpage into an existing bookmark, this particular webpage disappears when I quit and reopen Safari.
4.     I also deleted some of the default webpage in bookmark bars, but again these reappears when I quit and reopen Safari.
All-in-all, everytime I delete or add into my bookmarks during a session on Safari, seems to disappear the next time I quit and reopen Safari. Previously all my histroy disappear but it seems ok now after following your instructions here.
Would appreciate your advise and help here. It has been frustrating that I have not been able to save any webpages into my bookmarks or create any new bookmarks without it all disappearing the next time I open Safari.
