Is it possible to use the feature for customized home screen wallpaper? My daughter has iPhone 3GS and it works for her, I have 3G and can't seem to use that feature after updating to OS 4.0.2. Am I doing something wrong or is that feature not available on my phone?

I just updated my iPod Touch 2 generation to iOS 4 and I was excited about changing the home screen wallpaper, but when i went to change it, that option wasn't there. Is there some reason this feature is not available on the iPod Touch (or mine at least)? I am confused and disappointed..

You never could change the background... At least, I never could!
You can change the picture for the "home" screen, unless I'm mistaken. This is the screen you see when you click on the iPod waking it from stand-by. You'll see the "slide to unlock" slider, and your image in the background, but that's it!
Now, here's the "thing"... Granted, I've not been using it for a couple of months, so correct me if I'm wrong. Behind all the icons, the background had the typical "space" image. Dark, with red gassy clusters and stars... The same default image from OS X. Or, maybe I'm going crazy, and it's always been solid black.
After I ran the update, I did the same thing as everyone else... Tried to set my background, only to find it isn't supported on the 2g. I was surprised to find it solid black though. Were did my star picture go?
So, please let me know if I'm imagining the old starry background was there, or if the update has sucked it away to blackness.
(Otherwise, folders are good... That is all.)

When setting photo as lock screen/home screen wallpaper, quality is reduced

When setting a photo as the wallpaper for my lock screen/home screen the photo quality is dramatically reduced. This appears to be an issue since updating to iOS 8, as I have not changed my home screen wallpaper yet since updating, and when setting the same photo as my lock screen now, there is a noticeable difference. This only seems to be a problem when using landscape photo. Anyone else had this problem?

This is apparently a bug in iOS 7. Take a look at the posts to the right under "More Like This". Several users have come up with creative workarounds for this. Hopefully it will be fixed soon in an upcoming release!

Hi...we must need the lock and home screen wallpaper option in new ios phone...i am sure 30% of minimum android users will back to apple by adding this option...hope u will rralise the marketing trend than others..waiting ur responds....

Setting Landscape Home Screen Wallpaper Without Zooming In

I have an iPhone 4s IOS 7.1.1. Is there a way to put a landscape/horizontal photo (from my camera roll) as my home screen wallpaper without it zooming in all the way and filling the home screen? I want it to still remain landscape (so the whole photo is visible).

I know on Zedge Mortb when i'm previewing Wallpapers they Will pull in & out if i press on the Screen but once i set them as a Permanent picture they no longer do that. Interesting in what the OP has and i have ever tried a Launcher but they do have a Bunch a Settings that you can Change.. b

How can you change this? The only option I can find is "Wallpaper" which changes the lock screen.

Do you have a 3G or 3GS?
I don't believe the option to set a home screen wallpaper is available with iOS4 for the 3G.

Wallpaper is not supported on iPod Touch 2G. Only if you have an iPod Touch 32GB or iPod Touch 64 GB.

If you have an iPhone 3G, that's all you get, I'm not sure about the iPhone 3GS, but I suspect it gets the home screen wallpaper.

I can't change my iPad Mini home screen wallpaper at all, not even a default. I can't change my lock screen either. Help! I'd rather not waste my time bothering with computer programs so please give me a SIMPLE solution if you can.

I tried that and that is what initially started this. I wanted a new wallpaper for my home screen and it didn't work so I reset it. The wallpaper is now zoomed in, I can't zoom it back out, and I can't change it to the new one I want. Plus, recently I had reset it and it stayed at the Appe logo and didn't move and I got scared that I'd never be able to use it again, I tried random things and it turned on again. I think I was just lucky so I don't want it to happen again. And yes I did look up how to fix it but it was really complicated so I just did what I mentioned.

Lock Screen vs. Home Screen wallpaper (iPad 3 with iOS7)

Please help me understand wallpaper difference for the lock screen and the home screen. While testing the colors and brightness, I changed my personal wallpaper for one of the Apple wallpapers. Then I lost my photo. AppleCare said it was because I had changed the wallpaper on the lock screen! How is that possible when the screen is locked??

Home Screen Wallpaper and Multitasking

I have an iPod Touch 8G 2nd Gen., and I read about the IOS4 update online. After i spent a total of 6 hours updating my iPod, and after it deleted all of my media, I had discovered that my iPod isn't compatible with most of the new features, like Home Screen Wallpapers, Orientation Lock, and Multitasking. Does anyone know if Apple will make these options available for 2nd Gen. owners in the near future??

Apple will not be making these options available for 2nd gen owners because it is an issue of hardware. The 2nd gens don't have the capable hardware to run these features up to apple's standards.
2nd gen hardware:
533MHz processor and 128MB RAM
3rd gen (32/64GB) hardware:
600MHz processor and 256MB RAM

IPod Tough (2nd generation) home screen wallpaper

I am really wondering why the ipod touch (2nd generation) can't have a background for the home screen. The ipod touch (1st generation) can have one when it is jailbroken. If it has the capability to have a home screen background, then why can't the 2nd generation have one without having to be jailbroken? It just doesn't seem right.

What the?? Ipad Mini 3 home screen wallpaper zoomed WAY in

Once again, I have no idea how I did this, but my iPad Mini 3 which I just got, when I turned it on it's zoomed WAY out so the wallpaper on the screen is unrecognizable and the number buttons on the sign in, each button almost fill the entire screen.
Can you help? I have no idea what I did.

1. Double tap the screen with three fingers
2. Settings>General>Accessibilty>Zoom>Off
